Absolutely gorgeous food staff amazing high recommended had Sunday roast dinner was amazing nearly as good as my own must try

I had an amazing Yorkshire pudding roast dinner wrap. The rest of the family had roast dinners with home made yorkshires, proper gravy and roast potatoes. Very tasty! Home cooked food at a great price for families.

I went to the Long Bar restaurant this evening for dinner with my brother. After waiting for 50 minutes for our meal, the food was served on a dirty table. When I pointed out that the placemats where the waitress had placed the food were dirty, she replied that they had been busy and there were other tables. This was said with attitude and, in fact, all the other tables were dirty too. The waitress cleared the finished plates away but left us to eat on a dirty table and dirty placemats. Unfortunately the food was inedible and I left most of my meal. The lasagne and chips were dried up and my brother's chips were raw. When I tried to explain to the waitress that the meal was dried up she asked us to leave on the grounds that we were upsetting other customers. At no point were we abusive. We were simply exercising our rights as disgruntled customers to complain about poor food and service. We were absolutely flabbergasted by the attitude of the waitress. We would have expected an apology as an absolute minimum. The restaurant took payment up front and when we requested a refund they point blank refused. Additiinally, we weren't given a receipt, which would have enabled us to exercise our legal rights. We asked to speak to the manager but were told by the waitress that it was her mother who wasn't there. This was the worst dining experience of my life in terms of food quality, service and hygiene. I shall not be returning. I regret not asking for a receipt so that I could take action against the restaurant as I feel so strongly about the shoddy way we were treated. Customers should never be expected to pay for substandard food served on dirty tables.

Food was perfect! Amazing Fry Up. Drinks good prices too, even though it was 10p dearer to buy a pint of larger compared to a pint of coke :) lovely huts you can sit in and plenty of shelter from rain or sun Would visit again, shame the entertainment wasn't on but can't be helped.

The entertainment for kids was very good, had something on every night for them. Didn't go inside for the adult entertainment but my family said there were some good vocalists and comedian acts on. Food and drink was priced reasonably. Wish food was served a little later, but there's a burger and chips place (part of the bar but basically a take away) that serve until later. My only gripe is the 'rough'people that were bladdered around the kids area, people smoking dope and dirty toilets (outdoor ones).

Ordered drinks in the bar. Paid by contact less. Ordered food in restaurant. 3 choices not available from limited menu. Card not accepted for food. Went elsewhere. Wake up cards accepted everywhere but Towyn (pub down the road not accepting cards either for food)

We've been down here a couple of nights and enjoyed a few ales, whilst being entertained by top quality live entertainment, including Lee Lambert from x factor. Very friendly staff and good prices. A little out of season gem!

It is the highlight off the year for me I get so excited to come down and see the most friendliest staff I have ever met the food is amazing and you all ways make us feel so welcome roll on next year when we will be back and maybe have a cheeky holiday x

The choice of meals on the menu was very limited and the restaurant was only open until 8:00 pm. The steak meal I ordered was disappointing as it was not very hot when served and although I had asked for the steak to be cooked medium rare, it was too well done. the restaurant was not very busy at the time we arrived (7:00 pm). There were only 4 other diners present, so being too busy would not be an acceptable reason for my meal not being cooked as requested. My friends all chose lasagne, which was quite nice they told me.

Been here numerous times and loved it each time. Entertainkent is good, food is nice and would definately come back

Arrived at Abbyford caravan park with family. We decided to order a meal at the Long bar (What a big mistake that was) never again. To begin with staff didn't appear to be friendly towards their customers. The dining area is not very clean and untidy. Me and my partner ordered chicken tikka, rice and chips, when arrived the tikka sauce was cold, a member of staff was informed about this matter, both meals were taken away and put in the microwave (disgusting) my mother in law had chicken Cesar salad that she couldnt eat as it was that bad. Don't waste your money worst meal we've ever had.

Called for tea whilst in towyn ,had a lovely steak and ale pie ,daughter had curry and rice ,food was tasty and plentiful very reasonable prices, plenty of enertainment for the family will definitely call again

We are regulars at the longbar as we own a caravan nearby. We always have great time there so when family visited this weekend we took them all down there. My friends 6 Year old little girl was desperate to sing on stage so I went up with her and gave the compare the song and we then waited for her to be called. Imagine how gutted she was and burst into tears when he did not call her and ended the karaoke. My husband went up to the compare who rudely said he had ran out of time as the next act was coming on...and they never. He also shouted the bingo terrible, repeated numbers and went too fast and we couldn't hear him!! We will be sticking with the Morton arms in future!

Came here for our lunch on Sunday 3rd June 2018, and i will never return again. After waiting for one hour, yes ONE HOUR, for our lunch to arrive, i was shocked at the poor quality of it. My daughter was served a burger that was still raw in the middle, it even had pink stains on the bun where the raw burger had dripped onto it. This also came with 3 hairs on the bun. The chicken roast dinner was pathetic. It consisted of one potato cut into 3 small pieces, pre formed chicken fillets and rock hard vegetables that could break your teeth. The gravy was like brown tap water. 4 hours after arriving home my daughter now has bad stomach ache and going to the toilet, i've a good mind to report them to the food hygiene standards. If you value your health and that of your children, don't eat here. They offered us free puddings for the raw burger, but quite frankly given the poor standard of cooking, i declined as i didn't want a portion of botulism. refunded us for the burger meal, total disgrace. If i owned a 'restaurant' and served a customer raw meat i'd refund all the meals. never again.

We had a lovely Sunday Dinner the staff were lovely polite and very friendly the only thing was the gravy was like water but not to are taste. Would recommend it to anyone. We will be back.. .

Staff were friendly, food order got mixed up on a quiet afternoon, and were we charged double, staff explained new chef or staff and had been let down. Overall understandable and friendly.

Called in for a beer one tea time and saw someone having a tee bone steak with all the trimmings so we decided to try it ourselves. We had to wait some time but the staff did say this at the beginning. Food was great.

We visit Towyn every year for a weeks Holiday with the kids. We always eat dinner at the Long Bar, But last year the food was Awful and we vowed to never eat here again, This year however we were told there was a new chef/overhaul and so we visited and I can say it was delicious and if not the best steak Ive had in a very long time.. Yum! Presentation was very good, service lovely. We enjoyed it so much we came back again, this time ordering a classic burger, gorgeous! all our meals were beautiful. Now you are probs wondering why I have given this establishment 3 stars? Well The third time we went it was terrible, was totally shocked.. You could see the staff were underpressure from demand.. and it showed. I ordered Hunters chicken.. the chicken was stone cold and the worst of it was the bacon.. it was still raw!? sent it straight back I was polite about it and discreet and the young girl serving me apologised and was pleasant.. Anyways everyone had theirs so by the time another meal arrived for me my family were nearly finished.. and yeah the new "hunters chicken" was tiny.. and no cheese. it was just swimming in bbq sauce, the bacon just placed on top... terrible. I didnt bother sending it back. I was too hungry so I just ate it.. this may of been a one off.. I hope so as the place has massively improved! They really need to start checking food properly before sending dishes out and they also need to deal with pressure better as the place wasnt really that busy.... I have seen much busier restaurants.

Pretty standard pub menu but served promptly and pleasantly Great staff make this venue worth a visit We went at lunch time on an August Monday and it was very quiet so staff really looked after usWe sat outside under the covered area and despite a couple of things not being available staff were great at sorting it outOnly downside were the outside loos needed cleaning But all in all not a bad visit

we have eaten here a few times and have never been disappointed. the food is well presented and served by the friendliest staff I have ever come across. nothing was to much trouble for them, they brought our dogs fresh water and made a fuss of them . the chef is lovely and takes time to speak to you . will definitely be going back again the next time we are in towyn .

We waited in a que to order food there was 3 staff behind the counter but only one could take our order even though they wasbt doing anything then to be told we could wait 40 minutes for food the table was dirty it was busy being Easter but so many staff stood about it could of been run smoother and more efficient so we came away and went elsewhere

We have ate here couple years ago and had had a lovely roast dinner .We thought we give it another try we were not disappointed menu had lots of choice my husband had a stack burger and it was big he got it with chips salad he really enjoyed it I got sirloin steak it was beautiful cooked to perfection how I like it we will be going bck highly recommended to pay a visit

during the 6 weeks holiday, every week the wrestlers came to town. It is a fun night out and well worth the price of a pint but get there early if you want a good seat. Food available and very children friendly.

Just had a chicken tikka curry here in the long bar restaurant it was absolutely delicious. The Tikka was full of chicken and the meal was hot and tasty. Staff were friendly and hard working. Would definitely recommend ,prices are also very reasonable.

As a family of 5 we visited the bar inbetween looking for a caravan. The staff were extremly friendly and helpful by giving us numbers to try and ring for caravans and even tried to ring a couple for us.We all had a meal there and found the food worth the wait it was lovely and well persented, we all wanted to take home the mini basket that the chips were in but we didnt. The drinks were all cold which was a bounus.

We came to this restaurant twice this week bevause we really liked it. Sun was shinihg. Price was right. The girls serving were all very nice. Happy and helpful. Food was really nice. Will definitely come again when we visit.The homemade lasagne is gorgeous

Food came quick. Hot and edible. Was ok for the price. Portions were ok. Kids enjoyed their meals. Hubby would eat a scabby horse so he was happy. Not sure I would go back tho

This is very popular, the queues were always outside whenever we passed, we tried this one night after taking the little ones to the long bar disco and we had fish and chips, we thoroughly enjoyed it.

We've been coming for 3 years now due to the fact there child friendly & very good with my Autistic Daughter! Nothing is too much trouble for them! Live entertainment every night plenty for the kids to do just a bit Disgusted though how my daughter was racial abused on our holiday by another child but I'm not going to let it ruin our break & we'll be back next August! Visited hear a couple of times now and both times we chose to eat hear for tea the staff are lovely and friendly the food is great with great prices and arrives quick, excellent choice on the menu and a nice relaxing feel to the place would highly recommend it.

We regularly visited long bar for something to eat it's the best food in Towyn the nightlife is always good too 5 stars just isn't enough too rate it it's our regular pub/club/restaurant it's got everything you need I'm the one location

Called in for breakfast we had the £4 option which includes 1 sausage, bacon, egg, black pudding, hash brown mushrooms beans and tomatoes, a piece of toast and mug of tea all cooked perfectly with friendly staff. The breakfast wasn't huge but definitely worth the money, will definitely call again. Also we sat outside in the beer garden which was spot on.

Come here one time always thought it was going to be expensive coz it always have entertainment on but it was the best and cheapest bar in towyn

For kids entertainment is great, on a Saturday you have Colin and June it's an old kind of entertainment- not my cup of tea.Curtis works damn hard at the cocktail bar . Free WiFi if you are on o2 network has no signal for Internet. If you can see Hefin Roberts on a Sunday day a great singer with some adult comedy

We visit long bar often during the summer , food is ok ....Sunday lunch used to be lovely till the appearance of frozen peas and carrot now it's just palatable .My advice is buy from the chippy opposite and sit outside the long bar , this is allowed and food is nicer from the chippy .

Good entertainment. A childrens room and a great beer garden with kids disco.In the adult cabaret room lots of entertainment. Vocalists, comedy acts,karaoke,even bingo. Lovely cocktails. Great fun.

Always go here when I'm staying in the area . Lots going on usually have entertainment on and have a good cocktail bar as well that is open at the night time .There is amusements over the road to for the children

We love a great British holiday and Towyn is a great place to Base yourself for all that North Wales offers,The long bar we visited twice whilst on holiday this year once for a quick drink after a game of Flickr Bingo at the nearby bingo hall,The staff both times were smiley well mannered and funny!! The entertainment catering to all, with kids entertainment in the outdoor area and adult entertainment indoors!! It's a shame we only found this bar towards the end of our holiday!! However we will be back next year

Food poor left over food plates everywhere and you could tel others had not enjoyed it was not nice the smell put me off too !

Great fun for the whole family, entertainment is good, free and very mixed so no 2 night are the same, kids love it.

I visited on Sunday what a shock run down scruffy not a glass collected tables for of crap food terrible staff even worse and most of customers drunk and with kids were are the Licencing officers wouldn't put foot in again

Came here for something to eat after having a couple of drinks here earlier in the day. We ordered fish and chips and sausage and mash. The waitress didn't seem to know what she was doing when taking the order. The food arrived after about 10 minutes and the fish was overlooked. When I tasted it , it tasted like it had been cooked yesterday and then reheated for me. No staff came near total if the meal was ok. Will not be returning

lovely family area, caters for everyone, food is lovely ( so is dessert ) staff are lovely and friendly, deffo come here again. Below it asks what we came here for but you can only select one option but we had breakfast, tea and late night drinks here.

The Long Bar caters to every single person - no matter what they want to eat or drink, adults and children, and every inch of it is wheelchair friendly and safe for those unsteady on their feet. There is free entertainment provided every night time, the drinks are reasonable and the food is delicious. The toilets are spotlessly clean which is always a bonus! They also have a very large area outside for smokers but still kind of integral to the rest of the place so that nobody misses out.

We went last night and we ordered food from the restaurant and it was awful I ordered the fish and chips and was very disappointed with the fish it was burnt and the batter was hard . The table had been cleaned and was still sticky ,did not complain as the staff were very busy so were in the back room most of the time .On the plus side the entertainment outside did seem to be very popular .

Specials board. Soft drinks and some hot drinks available. I had a Chicken Burger Meal (Chicken Burger, chips & canned drink).-Reasonably priced. My Chicken Burger Meal was £3.80.-Long Bar is part of the same premises, so drinks (including alcohol) can be purchased from here as well. -Quirky decor - e.g. life-size Laurel & Hardy characters. Pre-recorded bird noises by water feature. -Background music. -Beautiful range of flowers in tubs and baskets around the premises. -Water feature. -Toilets off outdoor seating area and in the Long Bar. -The Long Bar contains a long bar (as the name suggests!), TV (showing Sky Sports during my visit), ATM, cabaret stage area. Cons:-More staff would be useful, as the young lady who served us had to take food orders, operate the till and deliver food to the tables. -Tables and chairs need replacing.
