Cannot fault this lovely venue! Really enjoyed the amazing food, served promptly and simultaneously considering there was 10 of us! Would definitely recommend. The light bite was more than enough and very reasonable priced. Staff lovely. Thank you. X

1st time at the Queen's head, went for a Christmas party. Beautiful pub with a lovely warm welcome and a very relaxed atmosphere. Food was amazing and the staff were very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Great service and excellent food is hard to find these days but this place definitely sets the bar. Highly reccomend.

Amazing gem absolutely loved it and will deffo be going back staff were so friendly always checking in on us to make sure if we needed any more drinks and that eveything was ok with the meal, they were very dog friendly and lovely drinks and food would deffo recommend

Absolutely beautiful Sunday lunch, every ingredient cooked to perfection, took a little time to order but after that everything was amazing, no photos because we were too busy enjoying our meal. Will be back soon

Rhos On Sea/Penrhyn Bay Volviendo a otro favorito y no nos ha decepcionado. Excelente servicio, me encantan las opciones de menú y el menú ‘Morder Ligero’. Probé los pasteles de pescado y huevo del menú de bocados ligeros deliciosos así que obviamente tenía espacio para ese gofre belga 👍👍La hamburguesa Queens 8 oz con esos enormes aros de cebolla y una salsa chipotle cayó muy bien con los chicos 👏. Típico pub local antiguo que se ha ampliado y reformado a un alto nivel. Me encanta aquí 🥳

Rhos On Sea/Penrhyn Bay Returning to another favourite and has not let us down. Excellent service, love the menu choices and ‘Light Bites’ menu. Tried the fish cakes and egg from the light bites menu delicious so obviously had room for that Belgian waffle 👍👍The Queens 8oz burger with those huge onion rings and a chipotle sauce went down really well with the guys 👏. Typical old local pub which has been extended and refurbished to a high standard. 10/10 👜 handbag restaurant review. Love it here 🥳

Lovely location, easy parking, beautiful gardens, delightfully charming interior with welcoming, kind and friendly staff...Oh and the food was beautifully presented too. Cocktails and Mocktails started off the evening for us all to be together followed by our aromatic and visually tempting meals.... utterly delicious! We were able to linger and comfortably chat over dessert and coffee, providing a wonderful, and enjoyable, birthday treat for our friend from the South! Congratulations all round !

Mis amigos y yo comimos el domingo hoy. El servicio fue bueno como de costumbre. La comida era buena aparte del hecho de que la opción vegetariana era decepcionante. Pensé que el asado de calabaza era el relleno, era tan pequeño. Nunca había visto nada igual. Tampoco había muchas verduras. No sé por qué las verduras son mucho más baratas que la carne. Literalmente cuatro pequeñas zanahorias. Vergüenza como vegetariano en la cabeza de reinas que generalmente no está satisfecho. Sigo yendo allí ya que el personal es encantador, y para ser justos mis amigos comedores de carne estaban contentos con su comida.

The steak and mushroom pie had 3 pieces of beef in it. Disappointing. Belly pork was lovely.

Lovely laid back atmosphere with welcoming friendly staff, who are not overbearing but attend to all your needs with professionalism and a great sense of humor! Food was spot on, served in good time and tasted fresh and homemade. Would definitely recommend!👌💯

Absolutely loved this place. From the layout/ outside to the food! We had sticky pork-belly for starters which was a 10/10 and then I had beef & mushroom pie for mains which was by far the best I’ve had to date. Certainly recommend and will definitely be returning!

A lovely pub with good selection of real ales. The food was really nice the only feedback I would give is the bar staff could have been a little more chatty. Overall a lovely visit and I would recommend to anyone in the area.

Had the Sunday roast. Staff were great there's a dog friendly section if needed, ample parking and the food was good. Can't fault it really.

18th birthday party tonight and 8 of us had a meal. Food was absolutely stunning. Many thanks and will definitely recommend and return.

We had a wonderful meal for my birthday. It was my first visit to this pub. There's plenty of parking the access is good. It is well worth a visit. There isn't all of the menu options to choose from. I can highly recommend the braised beef shank.

First time here I would definitely go again

We ended up here after failing to get a table elsewhere.....and what a blessing in disguise! We were welcomed by lovely ambience, tasteful décor and extremely pleasant staff. Wasn't long before we were at the table and perusing the menu. The beef & mushroom pie really was excellent. Lovely big mushrooms, thick gravy (and a jug on the side - more than enough) and the beef was incredibly tender. I was full as an egg afterwards (probably helped with the garlic bread and cheese - a must on the side). No pudding was necessary on this occasion. Our server was extremely friendly and came back to check everything was OK (it certainly was). They had a special soup on for the day and also a special desert - Could see other customers satisfied with choosing those options, so worth reaching out to the specials to see what's on. Highly recommended. Thank you!

Literally across the road from where we were staying

A lovely pub well away from the frantic North Wales coast. Previously enjoyed excellent Sunday lunch here a couple of years ago. This time, after a hot beach day, we drove 10 mins here to our peaceful oasis to enjoy draught Timothy Taylors and be entertained by a jazz trio in the sun surrounded by stunning pots and hanging baskets of colourful flowers.

This place serves great pub food well cooked and very helpful staff. In addition they serve excellent craft ales and draught IPA clean and tidy . Friendly staff. We visited on a Wednesday evening August 2024 the place was busy you may need to book . A lot of regulars

Friggin expensive. Stopped in for a quick pint of cider - 5.85! Been paying around 4 quid over last 2 weeks travelling around north Wales. Delusions of grandeur. Not recommended for the common man.

Absolutely the best fruit crumble I have ever ever eaten ever. Food was amazing, staff were fantastic. Spot on beautiful. Place was spotlessly clean and staff so kind and helpful as my Uncle has very poor eyesight and we struggled to the table. Beautiful pub with a lovely outdoor space and nice decor inside. The food was delicious, we had Sunday roasts and there was plenty of choice and lots of veg. We also had dessert and they were lovely. The service was very efficient. We will definitely be back when we are back this way.

Nice country pub, just a short walk from tan y bryn glamping site. Food was spot on and reasonably priced.

Found this place by chance whilst on holiday nearby. (We saw the sign on the road). What a cracking pub. Great lager on draught, non alcoholic lucky Saint also available on draught. We had the beef roast dinner, and it was perhaps one of the best Sunday dinners we’ve had out in a pub / restaurant. Thanks very much.

Sunday roast was ok. Very small portion, dry meat, not particularly hot, very pricey for what it was ( 1x veggies roast, 1x pork roast extra portion of cauli cheese and 2 cokes was £45). Left hungry

Visited to find music & wild horse brewery. It was brilliant 👏

A smart pub restaurant with good parking. Friendly staff and several different cost dining areas, tastefully decorated. Menu was perfect, interesting options and more upmarket than a standard pub. Service was excellent. Food was better than expected and we had a great evening. Highly recommended.

The pub was amazing. Very nice atmosphere. The service was great. We got the food quickly. We love the orders we made. We ordered The Queens Welsh burger, the beef shank, steak and mushroom pie, and grilled Seabass. The food was absolutely incredible. I highly recommend

Enjoyed a very nice meal, the venue is very attractive, especially the beautiful flowers outside. Our meal was good without being outstanding. Drinks (wine) were on the expensive side. Would go again though.

Very welcoming reception, food served quickly very well presented and very tasty, the raspberry and lemonade cider was very refreshing on a hot day, the outside area was very clean and the gardener deserves a bonus,

Really enjoyed this place. Nice atmosphere and lovely food. It's not your usual chain-pub, the food is a little bit different and really good. I did enjoy the local beef used in the burgers. Instead of being heavily seasoned as usual they had a flavour but it wasn't one that was drowned out in spice, it was delicious nevertheless. Really good food and not run-of-the-mill. I'd definitely go here again. More expensive than the usual chain-pubs but not much and worth it.

My friend and I popped in yesterday and had a lovely lunch. We both had the pate which was delicious. The pineapple and chilli chutney made the dish. I followed this with Amarillo ganache with cherry ice cream pudding. It was amazing. My friend had the sticky toffee pudding which was much enjoyed. The staff were friendly and made our experience a delight. We will be back to try out the rest of the menu. I cannot say enough good things about The Queens Head. 100% recommend.

This rural pub/restaurant was a joy to discover, being a mere ten minute drive from Llandudno. On site car parking; pleasant & relaxing bar/restaurant areas; attentive, friendly, courteous staff; a varied menu of traditional & more adventurous dishes; rounded off with a wide choice of drinks including cocktails & craft ales. Well worth a visit, although telephone booking recommended at potentially busy times.

The food and service was excellent. Good and well balanced menu very polite staff . Have been a couple of times and each time been very impressed. Will definitely be returning.

Nice pub out in the countryside, just a pity that the food wasn't up to scratch, they are not very generous with meat and vegetables. Between two people there was five slices of carrot and three small pieces of broccoli. We will not be going again.

A lovely village pub feel. Set back enough to feel that you are in the countryside, but close enough to Rhos on Sea and Colwyn Bay to feel very accessible. A great stop off for refreshments on the North Wales Cycle Path.

Visited Saturday 16th March for lunch. We hadn't booked a table however we received a warm friendly welcome. We were shown to a nice table in a small room to the left of the bar by a window. The ambience and room were nice. We both ordered Steak and Mushroom pie. It was served hot and in a timely manner, presented well and cooked to perfection using fresh ingredients and plentifull. The staff were pleasant, friendly and helpfull. Car parking was good. A very enjoyable experience. Would definately recomend and return. Many Thanks.

I went with friends and had a really lovely and relaxed meal with them. The staff made sure we were ok and service was brilliant. The food was also really nice. I'm looking forward to going back soon.

Everything was perfect , very welcoming, good atmosphere food excellent, we had our dog with us and still felt like we were in a special restaurant not in a second rate doggy area, would highly recommend a visit.

We have not visited the Queens Head in years! Today, we decided to give it a try. Oh my words, it was absolutely delicious!!! We sat by the fire, and had the nicest meal out in a long time. The staff were so professional and super friendly. I cannot wait to visit again!!!

Food very dry we all left food, staff seem to be watching table all time, service was very rushed staff couldn't wait to take plates away after main course, still had starter's on table when they brought mains to table, waitress was very stern when my friend said she didnt like the grated cheese ontop of her salad, very uncomfortable, coffee machine broke so had a basic coffee from kettle and 25mins to when we HAD to leave table they reminded us of the time, very poor experience all round, plus the atmosphere all night was very loud, our party was 6 people, wint be going back in a hurry

Food was below average for the price. Burger was OK but nothing special. Pudding was cold on arrival to the table. Very expensive for what you get so will not be returning. Large group separated over two tables which was very odd. The place itself is very clean and well presented. The garden would be good for a cold beer in the summer months.

Visited restaurant with in-laws to celebrate Father in laws 70th birthday. Friendly welcome, good atmosphere and well spaced out dining area. Good, varied selection of starters, mains and deserts. I had the smoked duck and potato salad starter, chicken and chorizo risotto and ice cream desert. All lovely and good value. Would highly recommend.

Having been ill recently, we decided to have dinner at the queen’s head . We were welcomed by the team on arrival . Our meals were ordered and arrived very quickly . Absolutely lovely , really enjoyed , the staff so friendly , asking did we enjoy our meals —— absolutely fantastic, thank you all . See u again soon. .

To be honest didn't enjoy the food. Especially if you are hungry not visit. Anyway, starter roast duck, didn't seemed like roast more like salami. And main grill fish?? Seemed to be fried and very oily, and like so small portion for the amount of money. One time and its enough. Decoration is lovely, and I believe summer time is very beautiful sitting outside, very nice outside area for drinks.

We have visited here many times before. Booked to try their Sunday roast Menu for the first time. We weren’t disappointed! It was delicious! I ordered the slow braised Lamb Henry and my Husband had the Sirloin of beef , my lamb was so tender , it came with mash, roasties, veg and sticky red cabbage (my fav) we also ordered a side of cauliflower cheese which was so tasty! Portions were so generous and the gravy was lovely and thick. Service was also great. Would definitely recommend, never had a bad meal here. For dessert we had : Baileys Chocolate parfait , which was like a party in my mouth and my husband had ice cream! Can’t wait to go back. I’m no photographer and I don’t think my pics do the food justice, but believe me, you won’t be disappointed!

Food good and served quickly my only negative was we were offered the sweet menu but it never came and as the weather turned very snowy we didn't ask again . Overall very nice .

We couldn't fault the lovely meals we had tonight and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming or attentive. Will definitely be returning to this hidden treasure!
