Visited Saturday 16th March for lunch. We hadn't booked a table however we received a warm friendly welcome. We were shown to a nice table in a small room to the left of the bar by a window. The ambience and room were nice. We both ordered Steak and Mushroom pie. It was served hot and in a timely manner, presented well and cooked to perfection using fresh ingredients and plentifull. The staff were pleasant, friendly and helpfull. Car parking was good. A very enjoyable experience. Would definately recomend and return. Many Thanks.

I went with friends and had a really lovely and relaxed meal with them. The staff made sure we were ok and service was brilliant. The food was also really nice. I'm looking forward to going back soon.

Everything was perfect , very welcoming, good atmosphere food excellent, we had our dog with us and still felt like we were in a special restaurant not in a second rate doggy area, would highly recommend a visit.

We have not visited the Queens Head in years! Today, we decided to give it a try. Oh my words, it was absolutely delicious!!! We sat by the fire, and had the nicest meal out in a long time. The staff were so professional and super friendly. I cannot wait to visit again!!!

Food very dry we all left food, staff seem to be watching table all time, service was very rushed staff couldn't wait to take plates away after main course, still had starter's on table when they brought mains to table, waitress was very stern when my friend said she didnt like the grated cheese ontop of her salad, very uncomfortable, coffee machine broke so had a basic coffee from kettle and 25mins to when we HAD to leave table they reminded us of the time, very poor experience all round, plus the atmosphere all night was very loud, our party was 6 people, wint be going back in a hurry

Food was below average for the price. Burger was OK but nothing special. Pudding was cold on arrival to the table. Very expensive for what you get so will not be returning. Large group separated over two tables which was very odd. The place itself is very clean and well presented. The garden would be good for a cold beer in the summer months.

Visited restaurant with in-laws to celebrate Father in laws 70th birthday. Friendly welcome, good atmosphere and well spaced out dining area. Good, varied selection of starters, mains and deserts. I had the smoked duck and potato salad starter, chicken and chorizo risotto and ice cream desert. All lovely and good value. Would highly recommend.

Having been ill recently, we decided to have dinner at the queen’s head . We were welcomed by the team on arrival . Our meals were ordered and arrived very quickly . Absolutely lovely , really enjoyed , the staff so friendly , asking did we enjoy our meals —— absolutely fantastic, thank you all . See u again soon. .

To be honest didn't enjoy the food. Especially if you are hungry not visit. Anyway, starter roast duck, didn't seemed like roast more like salami. And main grill fish?? Seemed to be fried and very oily, and like so small portion for the amount of money. One time and its enough. Decoration is lovely, and I believe summer time is very beautiful sitting outside, very nice outside area for drinks.

We have visited here many times before. Booked to try their Sunday roast Menu for the first time. We weren’t disappointed! It was delicious! I ordered the slow braised Lamb Henry and my Husband had the Sirloin of beef , my lamb was so tender , it came with mash, roasties, veg and sticky red cabbage (my fav) we also ordered a side of cauliflower cheese which was so tasty! Portions were so generous and the gravy was lovely and thick. Service was also great. Would definitely recommend, never had a bad meal here. For dessert we had : Baileys Chocolate parfait , which was like a party in my mouth and my husband had ice cream! Can’t wait to go back. I’m no photographer and I don’t think my pics do the food justice, but believe me, you won’t be disappointed!

Food good and served quickly my only negative was we were offered the sweet menu but it never came and as the weather turned very snowy we didn't ask again . Overall very nice .

We couldn't fault the lovely meals we had tonight and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming or attentive. Will definitely be returning to this hidden treasure!

We took a friend here, and it was her first visit. She was amazed that she hadn't known of its existence. We were delighted with the service and the food. Also, it is dog-friendly in certain areas. I recommend that you give it a go.

Enjoyable meal good service lovely food

We ate at the Queen’s Head on New Year’s Eve and had a lovely evening. We had intended to leave after our meal and see the new year at home, but we stayed until 12.30 am because we were having such a pleasant time. The food was very good and the entertainment, a singer called Danielle Mae, was excellent, and many people enjoyed dancing as she sang. It was very busy but despite this, the members of staff worked well as a team, efficient and friendly throughout the evening.

Wasnt good, but wasn't awful, certainly not a good memorable experience in any way, one that made me say im done spending my money there, nice refurb but thats it, quality of this place has plummeted drastically! Waited ages at the bar to even be acknowledged by either of the staff and it wasnt busy, one of the girls arrived first and again waiting ages to even be spoke to or shown her table and not asked if she would like a drink. For the price of the food, it needs improving ALOT, 2 fish mains were bland, pheasant was tough, gnocchi was alright but how do you mess that up. Sharing camenbert starter for 4.... 18 quid! Came with 4 small pieces of sourdough .... the cheese was well, ruined and so over done. There was no pause, between ordering food and meals, the next course was flown out asap. We ordered wine for our meal from different waitree, the red came after asking for it 2 more times, half way through the main..... Young waitress was polite and these things were not her doing Needs attention in alot of areas to get to how it used to be.

The lunch time menu was excellent, I had the fish finger sandwich 👌

One traditional turkey dinner and one Lamb Henry, both excellent!

I may be a bit late to the party but the refurb is fantastic. I realise it’s the silly season of Xmas with lots of work parties so it’s busy but at those prices the food was average. Both the pheasant main and the pudding treacle tart can be described as ‘tough’ as if they’d been hanging around a while ready to get warmed up in the microwave for speed as it was so busy, disappointing.

I was very disappointed with my most recent visit to the Queens Head. The quality of the food and the behaviour of the manager were both terrible. Two of our meals were abysmal in taste and texture. To top it all off, the Mussels were off! The manager seemed very angry that we complained about the food and asked if it was “just because we didn’t like it” which wouldn’t warrant remaking the dish/ ordering something else.

Good surroundings and attentive staff; food OK but not spectacular. Good cask beers. Overall felt we were on rather a conveyor belt where the intent was to get punters in/out as quickly as possible to make space for the next booking.

Unfortunatley after a lovely camberet starter the main course went down hill which resulted in a refund of a meal. I would stay off steaks until the chef gets experience and I'd side step the pheasant Ballantine which was masquerading as a squash ball in the sahara Precooked chips tasted of oil. Overall disappointing. Previous meals have been good. Famous school report words .. could do better .

Lovely pub, with great food. Had something from the light bites menu and wondered why it was so expensive only to get what was basically a full meal, so well worth the price for the portions you get! Their hot chocolate was also amazing.

Called for a drink. Lovely place to visit ..next time will have a meal. Very clean and decor was to a high standard. Outside patio with plenty of tables and chairs is very inviting on sunny afternoons and evenings. Definitely worth a visit..

After a long journey to see family, six of us visited without booking for a weekday lunch. It was just perfect from the very start of being shown to our cosy but spacious corner table. Both food and service were faultless; there was a lovely atmosphere to the place created by friendly staff.

Amazing Sunday dinner!! We were having a drink outside and the pub had to temporarily stop the lunches outside but they found us a table inside that we could have our lunch at,all the waiting staff were amazing,a bowl of water was given for our pooch and a little bone treat too!! The Sunday dinner is out of this world!! Cooked to perfection !! No room for pud!! The pub is beautiful outside and stunning inside too and spotlessly clean,please come and find this little gem when you visit Llandudno we found it a few years ago and make sure we visit when we come over for a day out!

Very nice place, tasteful decor giving a very pleasant ambience. Nice food served by friendly staff. One criticism, my Lamb Henry was served in a bowl, which is a vessel for liquids, and really doesn't lend itself to eating with a knife and fork.

Lovley surroundings, lovely staff , the starters were really nice, prawn cocktail and smoked chicken salad. The mussels and fries very good. The steak pie was terrible.First rule at catering college don't put pastry in a microwave!! The pastry was a sloppy mess.

Really one of the best pubs I’ve ever been to and the best one in Wales. Great food, amazing quality, huge wine list (15 or so by the glas!) and very, very friendly service. You won’t be disappointed!

Nice food and place to eat however service let this visit down a bit. Took a long time to get served and even though asked for the food to come altogether as one of our party was having this as a main with sides (limited vegan option) it didn't so had a long wait for meal too. When it did arrive though the food was very tasty and a decent sized portion so would still visit again despite the service glitch.

We were very impressed by our second visit to The Queen's Head. Our last one was pre-pandemic, before it changed hands. Then, it was a decent pub/restaurant, albeit a little old-fashioned. Now, it's another great addition to the Stange family. As we previously lived on the Wirral, we are familiar with a few of their pubs, so thought we'd give this one a try now we've moved to North Wales. Both our meals were pretty much faultless. The service was great, including being very accommodating regarding my 'no coriander' request. The pub itself is very nicely decorated. It has a lovely beer garden too. We will definitely be returning.

Lovely pub. The menu looked lovely but didn't get the chance to try. On the more expensive side but was busy, so paying that little extra must of been worth it.

Lovely settings indoors and out. Was expecting a Sunday roast dinner ( not boiled potato finished off in a chip pan. The chips were also very pale. Small dish of vegetables between 4 people. Disappointed.

Had very disappointing lunch. Started with prawn cocktail which arrived in tall glass jars with two miserable looking lettuce leaves sticking out. These were obviously not to be eaten as no where to cut them and were dark outer leaves. Came with two pieces of malted bread (nice) and a one inch slither of butter on one piece of bread, I mean a slither, we had a laugh about it with gentlemen on next table who also had the prawn cocktail. We had the steak and mushroom pie, which was a slice from a large pie, not a problem. The pastry was nice but the meat was very dry, it looked burnt but wasn’t. We had a little jug of gravy presumably because the pie was dry. There were a few vegetables which were ok and carrot and swede mash which had far too much salt in it. All in all nothing to write home about. Have been many times in past 8 years but doubt whether we will go again. Expect better for the price paid.

We were staying close by on holiday for a birthday, while waiting to check in we stopped for a drink and decided we liked the menu and we returned on our second night. After already eating multiple pieces of bread from our starter we realised that there was mould on every piece of bread. When we complained we were given a poor excuse on how the bread came to be mouldy, we were offered a new starter and we declined as we felt very put off and ill as the pieces of bread we’d already eaten more than likely were also mouldy, we just asked for the mains as we were hungry and just wanted to leave. The mains were nice but could not be enjoyed due to the feeling left from our starter and the atmosphere afterward. Upon further complaint following the meal after a very unenjoyable experience the manager was very stern, borderline rude, and service was slow and not up to par for the prices.

Had a business dinner here last night wow what a great venue. It’s a pleasure to eat at a restaurant where he Servers are attentive but not intrusive, the food quality was exceptional and the Guinness clean and fresh. Arrived very hungry left very satisfied. 11/10. Highly recommend….❤️

Fabulous food, very nice staff.

Since when did it become acceptable to serve the smallest portions at huge prices? Don’t get me wrong, the food quality and flavour is brilliant, especially for pub food. The staff are friendly too. The side dishes, desserts and mains were so undersized though at inflated prices. I just hope you pay your staff well with the money you saved on my portion. Please improve your portion sizes.

Someone should tell the chef! That crusty bread does not respond well to being blasted in the microwave.likewise sticky toffee pudding.aldo when you drop the prawns into a curry sauce usually better to stir before serving to givr the impression it's been professionally made. Ouch sorry but you must up your game

As a local I do think they consistently serve up one of the best Fish and Chips in the area (including local Fish and Chip shops) with the benefit of local beers. With being Dog friendly inside and out with a large outdoor space for sunny year round days the Queen's Head has the edge compared with the Cottage Loaf (Llandudno) and Erskine Arms (Conwy). Caution - not all items on the menu are fabulous.

One of the nicest pubs I’ve visited in a long time. The decor is a delight. The menu interesting, varied & different, loved the choices. The service was exceptional & very quick. Can’t wait to return.

Popped in for Sunday lunch on the off chance of a table while visiting the area and we weren’t disappointed. Seriously the best food we’ve had in ages. The staff were attentive , service was great and nothing was too much trouble. Dog friendly too ! Well worth a visit

Amazing, only down fall we didn't book as we didn't know and the young waitress laughed at us like we was stupid for not booking. She then went to her manager who found us a table with ease who was very professional.

A lovely country pub with a mixture of locals and tourists. There is a big free car park for those driving. 10 minute walk from Dinerth camp site. Staff are friendly, the drinks are good and they have a great wine selection. Didn't have time to eat here but food looked and smelled fantastic.

Popped in for lunch and a pint. Excellent beer, fantastic toasted rib of beef sandwich with peppercorn sauce and delicious chips. Service was really fast and lovely staff. Shame it is not a little bit closer to our hotel in Rhos 😉

We have been going here many times over the years but yesterday will be our last time I'm afraid, booked a table at 2.15 for lunch. We waited a while for someone to serve us for a drink our friends were already there, a waitress change and took our order for drinks and food. Food arrived and two of of us had the steak and mushroom pie it was very dry like it had been in the oven or microwave too long steak inside was black and looked burnt we did complain and the waitress said she would tell the chef I hate that saying if you have a complaint send the chef out he couldn't have been busy it was very quiet for a Saturday afternoon wonder why? The waitress came back and said it was because it was cut from a big pie and that's why we had the extra jug of sauce, so I have to self sauce a pie now!! No I don't think so I make a chicken ham and leek pie and it's never dry. Also our dirty dishes sat there for ages and I had to ask the waitress to clear the table and bring a dessert menu it was clear we had all finished our meals. Sorry but attention to detail was just not their needs to improve before we will go back again if ever. Shame really

We went there last night for a special meal out with family and friends, for my wife’s Birthday. What a treat ! The setting was beautiful, on a lovely summer evening, but the best was yet to come. We were given 5 star treatment all evening, with a great room to sit , the food was absolutely amazing and the staff , in particular the Manager, were fantastic! We all had a great evening and will definitely return. 100% recommend.
