Stopped in this afternoon. We didn’t book, and it was Sunday so they were busy, busy. Seated, drinks and food, all ordered quickly efficiently. Staff were superb inspite of some disgustingly entitled English accented tourists. Can’t rate this place highly enough. Despite what some think, this place is for everyone, locals and visitors. If you’re stopping in on a Sunday, book ahead, they’ll do their absolute best, but it’s the tourist season, so be sensible and be polite to your hospitality staff, it’s a hard job. I’m also dairy and gluten intolerant, never ever had any issues. Keep up the great work guys, and thanks for a fabulous lunch.

High gastronomy well hidden in what looks like the casual seaside café. The staff was very nice to us and we could watch the sunset on the sea while enjoying our seafood plates that were amazing. Will probably never come back again but highly recommend it.

We arrived a little to early but it gave us some time to enjoy the gardens. All the plants were lovely and so was the food in restaurant. We only ordered coffee and some small portions, as we were between meals - but the portions were actually quite big. And very fresh and soooo tasty 😋

Being a dog owner we regularly use Google reviews to check if dogs are allowed in, especially when we are visiting an area for the first time. We therefore checked The Riverbank out and saw, in the Gemini generated summary as well as several reviews ( one 2 months ago) that it was dog friendly. On turning up earlier today we noted a 'no dogs' sign on the door so I popped upstairs to check....and apparently the answer is 'it depends!', ie whether busy, how they feel on the day. This is completely unhelpful to customers as it either is, or isn't and should be up front about this. If you let dogs in it will appear in your reviews! Anyway your loss and another cafes gain as there are other lovely dog friendly places in the town (Lime Bothy, Belted Galloway) so I'd suggest you take your business elsewhere if you have a dog.

We had 2 evening meals at this great find. Food was delicious and the owner and family and other staff were all lovely. A very warm and cosy restaurant. Thanks to everyone for making us feel so welcome and making our stay in Killin even more special. Highly recommend and suggest booking in advance.

Louise cooked dinner for eight of us at the Five Turrets in Selkirk. It was a family celebration and as we were having drinks and nibbles Louise arrived with minimal disruption. Louise cooked, served us at the table and then cleared away leaving the kitchen space perfectly clean and tidy. The food was amazing! The Beef Wellington cooked to perfection. The experience for us was wonderful. Restaurant quality food in a relaxed 'home' setting. Thank you Louise and thanks to the Five Turrets for the recommendation.
