Wow - cold outside and of my world how wonderful - we had the venison steam smoked salmon pate fish & chip Thai spring rolls. Absolutely fantastic. Really lovely food and friendly welcome and we had a dog - nothing was too much trouble and the Merlot from Romanian yes Romania was superb. If you have some time in Killin come here for food. Def recommend x

Excellent. Greeted on arrival by a lovely lady who I’m guessing was the owner/manager as this is a family business who took our coats and showed us to our table. Fantastic little Bistro from the very friendly staff to the excellent food. Great atmosphere. Some of the best Cullen Skink I have tasted. All food freshly prepared and beautifully presented. A fantastic experience from start to finish. We went mid-week and were pleased that we had booked for dinner as every table was taken. Great welcome, fantastic food (incredible fish and chips), drinks and reasonably priced. A superb family business in a great location. Highly recommended.

Delicious food, great service and dog friendly. We went twice during our stay in Killin, but always booked so not disappointed.

This is a beautiful restaurant in the small, picturesque town of Killin. Its menu contains some very interesting starters and main dishes. The service was amiable, and the room was modern and relaxing. For starters, we tried the Crispy Thai Spring Rolls and the (super) delicious Stornoway Stack (Stornoway black pudding, crispy smoked streaky bacon on a bed of sautéed mushrooms, topped with a poached egg and Orkney cheddar sauce). For mains, my wife ordered a classic fish-n-chips which was very tasty, big, and well-fried. I preferred to try another classic dish, the Seafood Spaghetti. But this proved to be a disaster. Instead of a thick seafood sauce on top of spaghetti, this was a light liquid Cullen skink (local fish soup) with the spaghetti “submerged” IN the soup. You could not eat the spaghetti without risking spill the soup around and all the combined taste of spaghetti with the seafood had gone for good. A terrible idea and a dish recommended avoiding. Without this terrible experience of a dish, this would be an easy four-star recommendation.

We booked in advance of our visit as they only open for part of the week. Food excellent service perfect and completely dog friendly. The owner is lovely and attentive but completely relaxed experience. Thank you🥰

There was a blackboard outside the door saying ‘fully booked’, but I decided to see if they could fit me in and I wasn’t disappointed. Food was excellent, nice restaurant, very friendly and accommodating. Next time I’m in Killin I’ll definitely book ahead. Thanks for going the extra mile.

We have just had a take away from here. Fish chips and mushy peas. It also came with small tubs of tartar sauce. It's the best fish and chips we have had for a long time. Highly recommended. We have eaten in the restaurant in the past and the food has always been excellent. Well done the Courie Inn.

We spent two fabulous nights at The Courie Inn. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the food was excellent, and the hospitality was above and beyond - including accommodating last-minute, late dinner reservations and special diets. Say Hi to Crumb for us!

We needed to charge our car and eat. So Killin has a ChargePlace Scotland EV charger and The Courie Inn winner winner. We went in without a booking and were welcomed. The food was lovely my husband and son had the fish and chips and my son who won’t usually eat fish cleared his plate. Very friendly and attentive staff. Would recommend

Truly a wonderful place to visit. The staff are so lovely and welcoming. The menu is different. Everything so fresh. The food is brilliant. We particularly loved the Cullen Skink and Stornaway Stack. The wine and beer weren’t bad either. 😉 I wish it were my local. Will have to come back to Killin just to eat and drink here. We’ve eaten in every other establishment in Killin and the Courie is by far the best in every respect. Happily accepted our dogs. Who are well behaved, but the establishment provided treats and water … a lovely touch. Just can’t praise this establishment and the family who run it enough.

Wow!!! What a fantastic place this is. We had a wonderful warm welcome on our arrival and although we were early we were seated right away. The staff are really friendly and attentive and there's a lovely atmosphere. The menu has a good selection and we opted for the Sri Lankan curry and the seafood spaghetti and both were gorgeous! There's a bar area too which was packed and that's always a good sign. The desserts were equally good. The owner and her team deserve praise for running such a lovely place. Well worth a visit. PS. A family run business with a warm welcome. This place ought to be packed out! It really is a lovely restaurant. The vegetable madras was excellent. In fact, all the food was good and the NZ sweet/pudding wine is sensational. The decor is beautifully designed and it creates a lovely feeling to the venue.

Traditional Scottish restaurant with seasonal food options. Feels special but not crazy expensive. Cracking location. Works for disabled access too.

We had a fantastic meal at this family owned and operated inn. The staff were all so friendly and attentive. We started with delicious haggis fritters, I had the surf n' turf, my sister had the ribeye with garlic butter, and my BIL had the poached haddock. We split an order of creme brûlée. Stuffed to the gills and so happy at the end of the meal - it was all so exquisite *chef's kiss* Highly recommend!

What a great find! It was a lovely bar with a lovely atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and looked after my two dogs. They gave them dog treats and water. Will definitely go back again when in Killin!

Was lucky enough to be fitted in without booking when we called in on the off chance. Lovely decor with a homely feel, quickly seated and given drinks menu. The Heverlee lager on draught was a really good pint. And then to food, I ordered the fish and chips with mushy peas and my partner the rib eye steak. Service was quick but not to quick that we didn’t have time to sip our dtinks and chat for a while. The food was served and great portion sizes with nice home made chips. The fish was beautiful and crisp with hardly any oil left on the plate when I finished. My partner thoroughly enjoyed the rib eye a said it was cooked perfectly (medium rare) On visiting the toilets I came across the shiniest porcelain ever, the sink and toilet was polished to a high gloss, the whole place was spotless. To recap everything was perfect the hosting the service the food the drink and even the toilets. Can’t wait to return

What a welcome treat after a dreich day in the hills! I'd booked this based on reading previous review and was not disappointed. Staff were attentive & helpful. The food was absolutely delicious - I had Lamb (amazing) and my partner had the Sri Lankan Curry (he was delighted with that). Portion sizes were good too - so unfortunately I cannot comment on the desserts on this occasion, but next time I am in the area, I will eat there again.
