Lovely cafe with stunning views. Paid parking right in front of the cafe, of which there is plenty. The drive there is via a long and busy single track road with passing places, caution advised. Very friendly and helpful staff, food itself great too. Great soup and pizzas. The toilets were not the cleanest and are in need of renovation, especially the male toilets.

Beautiful little cafe right on Loch Katrine we were welcomed by the loveliest staff who helped us pick a yummy ice cream for my hubby and a lovely cake and oatmilk latte for myself. We chose to sit inside however there is a beautiful conservatory seating area that ld drinks. There were toilets and a large carpark, stunning views and a pier where you can take a trip andooks out of the loch and directly over at the house that was once built to host Queen Victoria before being damaged by the canons firing. The Cafe has a whole host of different things to buy from traditional Scottish treats to delicious hot and cold food, the staff are just lovely and the place is spotless. And can I just mention the cutest table coasters made with beautiful red tartan wer my fav. The Service was spot on and i just loved that the building looked like a little old train station from the outside. There are cruises on loch katrine throughout the day. Highly recommend a visit.

Have been following on Instagram so was really looking forward to visit. Walked in with my partner and daughter to join the queue as a it states wait to be seated. Waited almost 30mins to be served. In this time tables were not being cleared, people came in and sat down so no clear direction, others in the queue didn't know what to do either. I decided against taking a seat for food as it was clear the staff were struggling to put it nicely. We decided to get cans of juice aswell as ordering a coffee and cake. I was told it wouldn't take long. I stood a side to let others be served and watch people receive their cakes In boxes. I waited another 10-15 minutes, then decided to tell them to keep the cake and coffee and left even though I had paid for it. Wouldn't go back staff struggling and some didn't seem like they wanted to be there. Real shame as location is so nice.

Really disappointing! Drove up today and was busy as nice day which we expected. They didn’t want our business even though we said we would wait as we had driven far. I am 8 months pregnant and had our four year old daughter too but wouldn’t even add us to the list for a table. Basically told us to go away. Really poor.

A wasted trip to come across a boy out of his depth behind the counter turning away a pregnant woman and 4 year old including myself even though when pressed by a family after that it would be an hour wait. This has easily put me off going somewhere new at the weekend if that's how they treat patrons who make the effort to take the trip out. Put 1 star for food even though we never ate so the average doesn't go up. The angriest I've been in a long time after leaving.

Picturesque place, tight roads but to be expected. As for the food, not my cup of tea got a full breakfast stornoway black pudding let down by what seemed to be frozen sausage and the bacon wasn't the best either you would think a place like this would use local butchers and have home baking.

We spied the cafe on Google Maps and thought it might be a great place to take the camera for a walk before sitting in for lunch. We were well pleased with the outcomes on both choices: the Cafe is small and cosy, the food was excellent (amazing choice of cakes for afters), the young lady who served us was both welcoming and chatty. Also, the views over Loch Katrine were just spectacular, and I left with both a full stomach and a full image card. Can't wait to return again.

What a little gem! Always using Google maps to find cafe's while we're out exploring. This is one, opposite end of the loch cruise with the SS Sir Walter Scott. This cafe is at the end of a long long road, but what a place to sit and while away and enjoy great home made cakes and made to order hot food. The only sound you'll hear are the birds, Great atmosphere, and an even greater welcome from the ladies working there. Nothing too much trouble. We had one of the specials of the day. A steak and bacon burger with chips and salad. Huge plate! There's a small room on the back with floor to ceiling glass looking out onto the Loch. Also a seating area outside and another inside if you don't fancy looking at the scenery. Doggies are welcome. Always a plus for us. The car park is pay and display with the funds going towards the upkeep of SS Sir William Scott. There are also several places for campers with hook ups. Right on the edge of the loch.

Poor, very poor service Came at 2pm, had to wait 15 minutes before a lady gave me the menu (which I had to ask for) and another 45 minutes before the same lady came back around (while also serving other customers in the meantime) to let me know that the kitchen closed before I had the opportunity to order (and once again, had to stop her from avoiding me). I’m not sure of the reason which led her to give me the menu while not informing of the near end of the service (or that the service already ended). An apology would have been good at the end (instead of an unbothered face), as a 1 hour wait for nothing is a bit frustrating as one can imagine.

As its name suggests, the Pier Café is right beside the pier at Loch Katrine, bringing in a steady stream of hungry customers from the pleasure cruises that land here. But the café isn’t complacent about its captive audience. The food on offer is good quality - ranging from a full Scottish breakfast or lunch to a sandwiches and afternoon tea. There is seating outside picnic tables or on traditional table and chairs in a lakeside conservatory. We visited twice and weren’t disappointed. I had smoked salmon and eggs for breakfast on one trip - while my wife tried the full veggie breakfast, which looked absolutely delicious. There’s a selection of home-baked cakes and snacks and a few souvenirs to buy, including hand-knitted hats. A lovely place to stop, relax, eat and take in the wonderful view.

The food was good and I did enjoy it , the service was OK, the surroundings were Impressive, however the maintenance needs looked at, tired paintwork, roof of conservatory needs a good clean inside and out. But the one thing that would prevent me going back was the drive out, road was shocking. Surface most of the way was terrible( that's being nice) and the vegetation growing on the sides restricted the view ahead on an already twisty single track road, made it a nervy drive. But as I said food was good and the setting is fantastic.

With a beautiful drive to the cafe with stunning views, some great walks in the area. Or if you are feeling energetic, park at the opposite side of the loch and hire some bikes and cycle round to the cafe for your lunch and work it off on the way back. Food here is made fresh to order and they have a great selection or sandwiches, jacket potatoes, hot meals and pizzas. Offering a selection of local drinks and coffee from one of our fave roasters @thomsonscoffee We visited on a BH Monday, and the place was busy, we had a wait on food, and the staff were under pressure, but they did amazing to try and keep it together and get everyone served This was our second visit here, and we find the cafe spacious inside with views of the loch with additional tables out the front, and then in the garden, there are picnic benches for the nicer days. One of Scotlands hidden gems, this place is fabulous, amazing views, great food, loads of places to walk and a nice touch of very important history thrown in for good measure. Loch Katrine is also a wonderful highlight with great boat trips too.

First time in here, food was excellent, best fish and chips I've had in a long time. Service was great, very attentive staff. Definitely going back.
