Crumbs in Edinburgh, City of

Crumbs is a lovely little cafe that serves the best homemade food and the staff are the friendliest people! Both times I have left with a smile on my face :) The food is tasty, including the soup, the baked potatoes and sweet pastries. I can't wait to try something different in the future, as there is lots of options to choose from! Having enjoyed a couple of meals from here now, it's somewhere I would highly recommend!

This place is a fantastic little hidden gem. Serving excellent, hearty breakfasts and lunches and, hands-down, Edinburgh’s best empanadas. It might be small inside but takeaway is available and, on the rare sunny days in Edinburgh, there’s ample outside seating.

Great, genuine Spanish tortilla

Couldn't recommend Crumbs more highly. I went in unexpectedly this morning and the kindness from the ladies in there went some way to restoring my faith in humanity! Lovely cuppa, relaxed atmosphere, will be back.

Todo estaba riquísimo! La tostada mediterránea con aguacate, tomate y aceite de oliva de 10, como estar en España jajaja que cuando llevabas 10 días en Escocia se agradece, y conseguir un café cortado también se agradece, claro que al ser española la dueña pues es más fácil. Muy amable y simpática la mujer, lo recomiendo al 100% También tienen sandwiches y otras cosas, y comida española CASERA (tortilla de patatas, empanadas, gazpacho...).

Been coming here weekly since October 22. The food quality and price makes it the best in Edinburgh! Very reasonably priced and everything is fresh! Better than that the owners are brilliant and a credit to hospitality industry in Edinburgh. A must try!

Great food and lovely setting on the edge of the park. Very friendly and helpful staff. We were a large group and there was no problem in accomodating us at short notice and providing us with delicious food. I can definitely recommend it.

Had been working in Edinburgh on Saturday morning, and after skipping on breakfast, was feeling peckish and in need of my morning coffee fix. Had driven past Crumbs and thought I would give it a chance since it looked rather busy with people enjoying a breakfast in the out door seating on a hot Saturday morning. Nice menu and prices are very good. I was just going to order a breakfast roll to go, but decided upon a BLT sandwich, which was freshly prepared in no tme. Staff are very friendly and chatty. Will most certainly be back again if I find myself in the area.

Quite a disappointment unfortunately... but let me tell you the details. I went to this place twice. First we arrived with my partner on a Saturday. The lady said to us that we can sit down, decide, so after that she takes the order. I am completely sure it was this way, as after us some other groups arrived and she took their order at the table as well. Anyway, we ordered Scottish breakfast, and while there were some shortcomings (for e.g. the haggis was not that good and the tomato proved to be too watery), all-in-all it was still a nice breakfast. I'd especially highlight the price, which is really honest in comparison with other places. Service was nice as well, good coffee too. Second time I arrived to the place on another Sunday. It was basically empty [nobody sitting at the tables], there were however a few orders for take away. I waited there for around 15-20 minutes, and although both staff members looked at me several times, they did not tell me anything at all, while they were even talking about me between themselves . After some time I was just waiting there to check how they react to a situation like this. Let me be clear: I honestly do not care whether I have to make the order at the counter or at the table, it does not change anything. However, I feel that the way customers are treated is important, so I was really disappointed that after 20 minutes of waiting she basically scolded me for not ordering at the counter [even though 2 weeks ago she took the order at the table] instead of trying to be kind, take my order and resolve the situation in an amicable way. I felt disappointed too see that around 5 customers arriving after are handled before me, and they did not even try to tell me in a simple way ''sorry, you have to order at the counter'.

Best tortilla I’ve had in Edinburgh. Really welcoming owner. We had a couple empanadas, a tortilla, and a scone to share with drinks. Great stuff.

Many places claim to be the best, but this place really is. They have managed to trade every day through lock-down and hats off to them for sticking it out. I cannot recommend the place highly enough. The owners go out of their way to serve up delicious home-made food and their enthusiasm and friendliness s fantastic

We had lunch catered from Crumbs twice already, and I cannot recommend them highly enough! They are so easy to communicate with, and prompt in their replies. Also, you MUST get the lemon cake! We could not get enough of it! Very large variety of vegetarian and vegan options, as well as very accommodating with other dietary needs!

Second time I try the place and it's lovely bot for take away or sit-in. We order this time a large soup (Aspargarus was the soup of the day) and the classic Spanish omelette. The soup was very good and a really big portion. The Spanish omelette is a cute individual omelette, but it is a massive portion! You can add salad and bread for only 0.75p more, it's a bargain! And if you have some Spanish homesick, it's a good place to have some home food. I will try the next time the empanadas!

Really cute place! The prices are great and so were owners 😊 we went for breakfast and lattes were delicious! We also had a breakfast roll which was filling and really good. We came here two times and both times were exceptional.

Cute little cafe beside a Main Street. I got an oat latte which was amazing and my partner a green tea. We also got the large breakfast for myself and the small for herself. The food was brilliant and the staff were very attentive. I would highly recommend!

Went here for breakfast on our three night stay in edinburgh. Tiny cafe inside with two tables but several outside , with takeaway and delivery available too. Very busy...well used by workmen which is always a good sign. The food was lovely...worth the price . The service provided was quick and supplied with friendly and curtious staff. Definately worth a visit.

Lovely cafe! We had a flat white with oat milk and two huge breakfast rolls with sausage, egg and tattie scone inside. So filling and really delicious! The bread rolls were soft and fresh. The cafe is small and cosy with lots of baked treats, empanadas and Spanish tortillas on display. The prices are reasonable too! Highly recommend!

I've enjoyed the breakfast too much. The staff is helpful and very kind. They made a special platter for me upon my request. It opens late in weekends.

Great little cafe in the heart of Broughton. Lacks the upmarket veil of neighbouring Canonmills cafes which isn't a bad thing, it's simple and high quality and people come back because of it. The family that run it are wonderful and friendly. I normally get coffee from here and it's always a reliably nice mocha. It's miles better then the Costa at Tesco. Also use biodegradable cups which is a big bonus. My only qualm is that it doesn't stay open for longer when I need my caffeine fix.

Excellent wee cafe in Edinburgh amazing salads sandwiches and snacks with a Spanish twist, try the tortilla Espanola.The staff are diamonds and the food is excellent. For the quality of food compared with the price you pay you'd be hard pushed to find better value anywhere in Edinburgh, coffee is also really good

Best breakfast, brunch and lunch in Edinburgh! Service is the best, the owner looks after the customers as if they were family. Food is delish and all homemade. I recommend this little gem, we are now regular customers and the service and food is always brilliant.

I popped in for a take away lunch, I’ve stopped here before and always found the staff great, food tasty it’s well worth a stop. I really want to add that their Covid precautions are excellent. Everyone inside was masked if you can’t wear a mask you just need to wait outside and the staff will take your takeaway order from the door. If your eating outside they ll take your order from your table.They have really thought about what they are doing and I’d say they’ve done a really good job.

This place is great, and whenever I go for a hike or long walk I make sure to stock my backpack with their empanadas, cakes and desserts. The staff is very nice and helpful and they even have tables if you want to stay! 100% recommended! Love it!

Itzi and Garreth offer tasty homemade food, nice handcrafted speciality coffees and teas as well as an outstanding service. They are also always happy to help and to adapt to customers' needs. Great value for money.

The food was really good and our server was extremely polite and friendly. We had 3 fry ups, however, we were the only ones there and ended up having to wait close to an hour for our food. Was quite frustrating as we could have easily wandered somewhere else in that time.

Order was lost and waited almost 45 minutes for breakfast despite being the only table there - the table next to us arrived 30 mins after us and were served at the same time as us.

Grabbed a panini to go after walking past far too many times and it will be the first of many visits. Gorgoues sandwich, wonderful service and can't beat the price.

Had great food. Unfortunately she was by herself. Her husband broke his foot. But she did a wonderful job by herself. Well worth eating at.

Cute little cafe on the way to the Botanical Gardens. Nice coffee and adaptable breakfast menu. Food served in Vegware compostible containers. I had a bacon, sausage and egg bap. Perfect start to the afternoon. Breakfast served until 2pm, but sandwiches served until close. Outdoor seating available.
