A table of four, we each had a large traditional Scottish breakfast. Service from Mandy was excellent (well done Mandy) and food was first rate, all served on nicely warmed plates. We appreciated the efficient speed of service also. Well worth the visit for a nice breakfast

I was treating my family to an early Christmas lunch. My son and me opted for the Christmas lunch menu. It stated that it was freshly carved turkey. I've never seen square turkey slices! It tasted bland and sliced like processed 'meat'. Disgusting!! Asked the young chap for replacement meals which eventually came. Will never eat here again.

Came here with my son for lunch & really enjoyed the food, staff were very friendly, helpful & happy. I had the fish, chips mushy peas( or garden peas if prefer) with bread & butter lovely & soft. My son had scampi chips mushy peas. Very good food & didn't have long to wait either, not that it bothers me if it did as I've got lot of patience lol. Also forgot to mention the toilets are upstairs & spotless cleaning.

Breakfast is widely advertised as being available until 11.30am but should state subject to availability! I arrived at 10.55am Sunday morning looking forward to a full breakfast for myself and my husband. I waited in a queue for 15 mins only to be told “what’s left is in front of you and it will take too long to cook anymore, we’ve been busy” .I walked away in disgust. I did get the chance to speak to restaurant manager who was very apologetic , offered to get food cooked for us but the momentum had gone and wasn’t in the mood to be spoken to or served by the not so pleasant staff member ! If the staff were worth their salt someone should have alerted the queue that there wasn’t any breakfast left or should have notified kitchen staff more food was required. The restaurant certainly did not look busy nor the car park. When I say there was a queue I mean approximately 4 to 5 in front of me being served by a not so cheery staff member serving on her own until when I reached the hot food server another member of staff came out to help. I am a club member but will not be renewing my membership. If a business in this current economic climate can loose customers through rude staff and poor food quantity control then good luck to them. Four other customers behind me left the queue when they heard there was nothing left. It was the local May weekend, foresight should have prevailed and plenty breakfast items available. I understand food going to waste isn’t good either but surely if breakfast is being advertised until 11.30am then customers should be able to have it , even if it has to be cooked fresh! Gone are the days when the customer is king!

The cafe at dobbies Stirling is abysmal. Chaotic setup it took me 20 minutes after ordering to queue in 3 different areas before I could sit down in the dining hall like cafe. My sister meantime had been forced to clear dirty dishes and trays so that we could eat our food. Cold toasties and lukewarm tea and I still had to go back up to collect a bowl of chips as they had run out. Food tasteless and no garnish to at least make it look tempting. Kitchen was seen to be disastrous with overflowing bins and rubbish on floor. Staff certainly busy trying to get food out but had no time for pleasantries with customers. Feeding time at the zoo would be better organised! Needless to say won’t be back!

Cold food not enough staff The staff making the coffees had to go to the till while other customers food went cold . The staff were amazing . Worked hard but too much work for them with the amount of customers there was . We did not eat or return the cold food because of the queues . I went a couple of weeks ago and same issue . I thought it may have been a one off but obviously not .

Hotel has amazing location on Loch Lomond and for West Highliand Way. But the hotel itself seen better days and is a bit run down and dilapidated. All that could be forgiven. Less easy to shrug off was incredibly rude and belligerent bar/restaurant manager who had a real attitude problem and clearly never heard of customer service. Ludicrous argument on charging £2 for some Parmesan to go on an order of pasta. Salt and pepper were still free on visit. Great view but avoid staying or eating there if you can.

Cafe doesnt do toasties etc until 11.30 and only breakfast leftovers available. 2 very dry sausages and the bacon was so dry I had trouble swollowing it,however it did eventually go down with the help of my luke warm coffee. Cakes very over priced. On sitting down i had water dripping from the roof onto my clothes and moved seats. I did not complain as I had my young granddaughter with me. 20.79 down the drain. Wont be back.
