Dobbies Garden Center in Stirling

The cafe at dobbies Stirling is abysmal. Chaotic setup it took me 20 minutes after ordering to queue in 3 different areas before I could sit down in the dining hall like cafe. My sister meantime had been forced to clear dirty dishes and trays so that we could eat our food. Cold toasties and lukewarm tea and I still had to go back up to collect a bowl of chips as they had run out. Food tasteless and no garnish to at least make it look tempting. Kitchen was seen to be disastrous with overflowing bins and rubbish on floor. Staff certainly busy trying to get food out but had no time for pleasantries with customers. Feeding time at the zoo would be better organised! Needless to say won’t be back!

Cheese and tomato panini. Panini hot and toasted. Cheese not melted and cold and cold tomato. Horrible combination. Upholstery filthy. Won't be back.

Slow slow service £6 for a bacon roll then another wait to get a coffee, shocking can’t understand why people return or maybe they don’t .. needs a fresh up as not clean . Must better cafe about.

A once loved family establishment has gone down hill to the point it has become a local embarrassment. The cafe is dirty, run down and looks as though it needs bulldozed. Expect a lengthy wait for service, young teenagers with no sense of people’s frustrations make the drinks at a snails pace. I thought the Bearsden Dobbie’s had gone down hill terribly, sadly this is on a par. Clearly those at the top either don’t care, or are in complete denial about the scale and depth of problems that the Dobbies chain are in. A top tip would be to speak to customers, and actually show up in the premises to take hands on action, seeing at first hand what the depth and scale of the problems are. Caulders are going from strength to strength, Dobbies however are heading swiftly to oblivion.

Arrived, for a coffee stop and browse, changed our mind when we seen the cafe, carpet was very dirty and stained, tables not clean, uninviting! Outside plant area, rundown to be honest, no sign of any staff, disappointing visit, such a shame.

The food is pretty good but I object to sitting in an establishment and have to talk over barking dogs. I suppose it’s quite nice to take your dog in and the sitting area is separate but if the dog is barking the owners need to leave. It spoiled our lunch.

The food and drink is way over priced and to give you a rough idea a can of juice is £1.75 and a small bottle was £2,20 +. And the food at the very best I could say is average at best and they charge a fortune for it. The only reason I use this resturaunt sometimes is for somewhere to sit while I get my car a valet just outside. I once had a full breakfast here and I couldn't eat half of it as the qaulity was that bad. The shops has all sorts of good stuff in it but again unless you are swimming in cash then you can get the same thing online cheaper

Stopped off here and glad we did, had a lovely meal. Service was excellent and food was delicious . Will def return.
