I paid for a room with full view of the lake and they gave me a room with partial view. I went to the reception to ask for what l've paid, the receptionist (a blond, "big" girl) was absolutely rude saying it is just me "complaining" and reallocated us to a room exactly above the one before, which didn't change the view at all, I was pissed of but I had no energy to go 2 floors downstairs to say something again to that rude person. I'm pregnant and I was travelling because I lost my best friend, I just wanted to connect with nature with a nice service to help going through all I've been passing and the result was this. Plus, the area of the shower was disgusting in the floor, floor was supposed to be white and there were black spots of mould and grease, had to take shower using sandals. Breakfast was alright, just not many options of all for the price we pay. Location was great.

The hotel is located at the highway so easy to find. Nearby you can’t find any other place or you have to drive back for 7 minutes to the nearest town called Luss. About the Inn hotel. It’s on the website a 4 star hotel but imo more a 3 (or even 2) star hotel. To mention a few points why it can’t be a 4 star hotel: - No elevator, - rooms are on the first and second floor - We booked the superior Loch view room but it was very small for one night 215 euro. Very overpriced - Very Small bedroom - we had a view on the parking lott and lake partially. - Bathroom was okay but not much space. - The bed was super small 1.20m wide. When we asked for a biggger bed, we were informed that rooms with bigger beds were not available this night. (I checked the other rooms but I only saw the smaller size beds) - The wooden floors make a lot of sound and when people walk in the hallways, it’s like they are walking in your room. Very disturbing! - No electric charging fo vehicles on site - We arrived a little early and had to wait till 3 pm no exceptions for anyone who was early (they point you to the restaurant so you had to eat) - You had to book a time-slot for breakfast (and imo because there is not enough space to handle everybody at the same time) - coffee in the morning is freshly brewed (filter coffee) but when finished you have to wait for the waiter to start a new glass-kettle and wait for the next round of fresh filter coffee. I waited at least more than 10 minutes for coffee at my breakfast. - no fresh orange juice (normal in a 4 star restaurant) - the fruit is present but not cut or sliced The food (and our lunch) were very good and I think this place is known for their great food BUT dogs are allowed too. But I saw one dog treated as a person on a chair eating from a plate on the table. The staff was not intervening in that or they just went on with their routine. The staff is friendly and accommodating. They try to help in any way. The outside scenery is amazing and if you’re ready for a long walk this is a great start- or ending point. From the hotel there is a little tunnel so you can cross the busy road. I have no idea how they get their 4 star rating. Clearly the rooms and place is more a 3 star and overpriced.

Came in April for a one night stay. Receptionist was absolutely lovely and very helpful. Our room was so gorgeous and spacious and had a great view of the loch. Dinner was delicious and portion sizes were great, servers were all very friendly and attentive. We had the breakfast buffet and a hot meal each the next morning which was also great. All of this was part of a Wowcher deal for less than £100 so the value for money was really great! Overall we had a really lovely stay and will definitely be back!

My friend Esteban and I ventured all the way from London to experience the renowned culinary offerings at The Inn on Loch Lomond, and we were absolutely thrilled that our expectations were not only met but exceeded. From the moment we stepped foot into the restaurant, we were greeted from the manager with warmth and hospitality that set the tone for the evening. The ambiance was cozy, with a picturesque view of Loch Lomond adding to the charm. Now, onto the main event - the food. We indulged in the chicken curry and fish cake, and both dishes were nothing short of impeccable. The flavors were expertly balanced, and each bite was a delightful journey for our taste buds. It's evident that the chefs here have a passion for their craft, as every dish was executed flawlessly. The wine selection was exceptional, complementing our meal perfectly and adding to the overall enjoyment of the evening. However, what truly made our dining experience memorable was the personal touch from the lady chef herself. Not only did she prepare outstanding dishes, but she also took the time to sit at our table and engage in conversation. Her genuine warmth and hospitality made us feel like cherished guests, and we couldn't help but fall in love with her and her culinary expertise. Overall, our evening at The Inn on Loch Lomond was nothing short of spectacular. From the exceptional food to the heartfelt hospitality, every aspect of our dining experience was top-notch. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an unforgettable culinary journey in the heart of Scotland. Looking forward to our next visit!

I emailed the hotel on 28th of January and am still waiting on a response. I wasn’t going to post a public review but they haven’t replied.. My partner and I were kindly gifted a voucher to stay at the Inn. It was a 2 night stay with dinner included and a cream tea. Due to my work, I can only go away on the weekend so we knew we would have to pay £40 extra per night, fine. We arrived around 6pm on the Friday night and dined in the bar. Food was tasty and staff were friendly. Rooms are in serious need of upgrading (chips on sink and in shower), radiator wouldn’t turn on and felt tired. We went to bed that night and quickly realised that the walls were VERY thin - we could hear everything in the corridor and from the room next to us. We understand it’s an old building, however, we could hear people in the room opposite us!! It wasn’t until after we got home that we read reviews describing the thin wall situation. The people in the room next to us were up ALL night laughing and shouting and being generally rowdy. We expected it to stop after a while so didn’t do anything about it. Honestly, we must have had a total of 1 hour broken sleep all night. It continued until 5:30am and we were absolutely shattered. We got ourselves ready for an 8am breakfast and my partner spoke to one of the staff members as the noise had started up again. They walked up by the door of the noisy room and couldn’t believe how noisy it was!! We explained that we couldn’t stay here another night with that noise. Anyway, breakfast was nice enough. We had a spa morning booked so could relax. However, we were so tired that we had to go back to the room in the afternoon for a nap. Again, noise was so loud from people passing through the corridors that we couldn’t sleep. It felt like they were in the room with us! We both felt so nervous about staying for a second night as we both had to be up early on the Monday for work and needed a good sleep! We left that evening. I left a note on the “how did we do” card in the room. I would have expected someone to contact me to ask what had happened. I also emailed to explain my frustration at our stay. My biggest frustration is that we paid £40 extra per night - night 1 was a disaster and night 2, we didn’t stay!! It wasn’t until after we got home that we realised we never actually received the cream tea that we were entitled to with our voucher - surely a staff member should have offered this to us when we booked or arrived?? Wouldn’t go back, wouldn’t recommend and certainly think it’s terrible we didn’t receive everything that we and the person who gave us the gift paid for.

My son and his wife gave us an itison voucher for our anniversary, I booked the hotel for a stay on 2nd March, paying a £40.00 supplement for the Saturday Stay. My husband surprised me by booking a holiday which coincided with our planned stay. I telephoned the hotel to rearrange (voucher to be redeemed before 31st March) They only had 2 dates available that were mid-week and didn't suit as we both work, the overnight was cancelled on 15th February, some 6 weeks before the voucher had to be redeemed. I have emailed 3 times asking for someone to speak with me, but to no avail, I have received replies to my email stating that the £40.00 supplement was non refundable, finding this difficult to fathom as they cannot accommodate us for a saturday stay but intend on keeping out £40.00 supplement?? It does not say anywhere on the voucher that this is non-refundable only that it is payable direct to the hotel, Am I missing something here? Clearly dissatisfied with the way this has been handled, hoped to go in the future, but not now!

We went a drive then came back for dinner, afterwards we checked with reception again with no joy, I felt the hotel did not do anything to help us.we were left with no option but to return home.

Any time we tried to order a cocktail they had ran out of the ingredients to make it not very good for a bar is it 3. They also ran out of the local beer They staff were nice and friendly and no issues there at all it was just the room let it down a bit . My friend and I booked a last minute night when travelling home from a couple days up North, with my friend's little dog. Booking was straightforward and we arrived around 8pm, where the hotel was happy to serve us dinner despite us having earlier declined a dinner reservation. The meal was lovely! Our twin room was spacious and the beds were super comfortable. The en suite toilet and shower were fantastic with minimal noise into the room. Best of all were the french doors that we could fully open with an absolutely stunning view. We were on the top floor and well positioned to view the loch and hills. A real treat. The main road was down below beyond the car park so there was traffic noise of passing cars, but for me, it was worth the room and views for the price we paid. There's easy access from the car park to walk down to the loch side and the option of a decent lengthy walk along the cycle/walk trail. Doggie and I took advantage of this at sunrise and it was stunning. Breakfast was included in the price. Lovely breakfast with self serving continental and ordered cooked breakfast. I'd walked up a good appetite and very much enjoyed the yum quality food on order and doggy enjoyed her sausage they offered her! Dog owners are sat separately with their dogs in the bar area, but it was laid out in the same way as the rest of the dining area with window seating options and continued wonderful views. So also, other guests need not be bothered by the presence of dogs at mealtimes, which I think is important. And we certainly did not feel excluded. We were well taken care of. There was a super comfortable sofa area where we relaxed for a while after breakfast. All the staff were very friendly. We loved this place. It is excellent value for money and we'll most certainly be back!

I booked a night away in the Inn on Loch Lomond as a surprise for my wife’s 60th birthday. I did the romantic thing and requested that a bottle prosecco and chocolate dipped strawberries be in the room on our arrival. When we checked in the receptionist quickly excused herself and ran through to the bar to sort this out. This was not an oversite as I was told later that they do this so that the chocolates don’t melt and the prosecco is cold. I booked a Ben Lomond room as I am a wheelchair user and these are advertised as suitable for disabled access. There appears to be three of them but not sure. WOW, the room was fabulous! Magnificent view of Ben Lomond from the window and glazed door with 2 chairs and a table outside each room, a nice dressing table / desk (where we found the prosecco and strawberries, which were delicious), a huge bed Got to have been a Super King size) with plenty of space around for easy manoeuvring in the chair, flat screen TV (which was at least 50”) mounted on the wall at the end of the bed, coffee and tea making facilities etc. To top it all was a HUGE wet room which was had modern décor and chrome grab rails (not the standard ones that look a bit clinical). After having a glass or 2 or the fizzy stuff it was time for dinner. I had booked a table and requested a Loch view table as it was a celebration of my wife’s 60th. The restaurant manager showed us to the table and again…. WOW! We couldn’t have wished for a better view. Douglas, I think his name was, was an absolute star. Not only had he given us the best table in the restaurant but had also placed 2 (single glass) bottles of prosecco on the table with their complements! I booked DB&B which included 2 courses from the menu with the option of paying for the extra course if we wanted. We both opted to go for a Main and a Pud. My wife loves Haggis and therefore ordered the Haggis, Neeps and Tatties with whisky sauce and I had the Beef burger. Both were delicious. The burger was just as I like it, chard on the outside but still a little pink in the middle. The Passion Fruit Posset and the Sticky Toffee Pudding were also very good. After dinner we retired to the bar where there was live music from Liv Dawn, a female singer/guitarist who was great. Every member of staff we came across was very polite and friendly but I like to say a special thanks to Douglas the restaurant manager and the receptionist, Mirren who made us feel sooo welcome. We hope to visit again soon.

A self serve café within the grounds of Stirling Castle, offering takeaway or sit-in opportunities. There are plenty of snack options, including a Kid’s Box at £6 which provides a choice of sandwiches, a treat, a piece of fruit and a drink. There are plenty of sandwiches and paninis for adults too and several hot dishes to choose from on display. In our experience there were plenty of staff on duty and the constant queue at the time was kept moving fairly quickly. We found a table in an area with vaulted ceilings, reminiscent of the Castle Kitchens, which added to the ambiance. The grandchildren had Kid’s Boxes, my wife and I had paninis which had tasty fillings, and we also had Americano coffees. The coffee was good enough to warrant a second cup for my wife and I along with a slice of lemon drizzle cake and a scone with cream and jam. All the food and drinks were good and the overall cost was just under £49 allowing for 10% discount as members of Historic Scotland. Toilets were clean but very compact for the size of the premises.

After remortgaging the house we decided to get some lunch at the Snack Stop. We had lots of money in the bank and decided to use as much as possible. Suffice to say we weren’t let down. Upshot is if you want a ridiculously expensive lunch on paper plates and cardboard cutlery then this is the place for you. £6.50 for a box of 6 sad looking nuggets , £9.99 for a baked potato with 2 fillings. Keep driving past so your kids will get some Christmas presents this year.
