For the price the fish was tiny dry and awful

I'm not impressed by the quality of this order it was extremely greesy and the chips were unbeatable could not eat them I took pictures they were that bad I will not be ordering from here again as I paid good money for nothing it went in the bin

Food was very poor, chips were reheats and full of scraps, the rest were most definitely reheated and the batter on the fish & sausages were like rubber, this is 2nd time in the last few weeks the food has been very poor, £40 for dinner and most of it was inedible, sorry but I’ll be ordering elsewhere from now on, despite complaints about poor quality food, nothing seems to get done about it!

we got a smoked sausage supper and it was lovely and hot and sausage was delicious and chips were cooked just the way we love them... highly recommend the Rex Chippy 10/10 👍

Food was disgusting & freezing cold, couldn’t even bite into the batter on the fish, the special fish was brick hard and more breadcrumbs than fish, half pizza supper was half cooked and chips were just full of ends, total waste of money, only place the food was fit for was the bin!

Usually love here got a mixed kebab .. chicken was cold .. asked for no salad as a can’t stand cucumber came with the salad .. asked for a biscoff slice instead a received a white Carmel shortcake slice

food was really fresh and delicious, garlic mayo tasted homemade and there was loads of it! really impressed

Pizza crunch was cold and could not eat it the pizza was hard and cold could not eat it because it felt like.it had been lying for a while then reheated that’s what dryer it out and made it hard the ice cream is not the same as it used to be the chocolate cake was very small for the price you pay my last order was the same the small fish was cold and ther was not enough fish in it I have used your shop for a long time because I really liked your food but the last two orders I have placed I could

the food was alright but they didnt have some of the stuff we ordered which is fine usually places call and say what they can exchange it for but we didnt get a call from them and they just added stuff in which was nice but they gave us the same slush one that i really hate and they gave us different cakes which again was nice but they added the cakes my partner chose into it again which i really hate so i could only eat the pizza and the milkshake which kinda sucked

My fish was cold. I asked for brown sauce and salt and vinegar on all items. It was incorrect I phoned the shop to ask if I had recieved the correct order as it was wrong. the person working thought she hung up the phone. But was still connected and I could hear her speaking about me. I order from here a lot but it’s put me off if I’m honest.

Unusually, dinner was disgusting chips were inedible as they were so over cooked and black pudding was so hard could hardly get cutlery through it hence to say it all went in bin after a couple of attempts to eat it. I would have rather waited and got fresh food than what was delivered😢

Just had a lovely takeaway. Special fish was excellent - not dry at all and the smoked sausage was great. Chips were food too. Will order again.

Food was piping hot, best tikka I’ve tasted in a long time, so fresh. Amazing value for money and the delivery driver was a lovely man who took the time to have a wee chat.

Pizza was delicious as always but the best part of this experience was martin the delivery driver. What a lovely lovely gentleman. Chatty and friendly. I'd order again just to say hi to him, he made my day.

Fish dry & chips needed more cooking Not great

Been here a couple of times used to be good. Tonight for whatever reason food was poor none of us finished our food. Hope its a one off bad experience.

The macaroni cheese was amazing!

Order was thrown against the bottom of the front door by the delivery driver. Shop staff were very apologetic but owners not available to take complaint. Terrible service.

Large chicken tikka kebab and a mixed kebab, both excellent with plenty of eating in them both

Pasta had no taste at all wouldn’t recommend it but the munchy box is good value for money

We used to use the rex. However, the opening hours and staff attitude are shocking. 8.30pm on a 10pm close and nothing left. Just rubbish tbh

Was absolutely shocked with the fish supper last night. What happened to the big box it usually came in? It was presented in a small polystyrene tray wrapped in paper which stuck to the tiny fish. Last time I saw fish that size they were swimming round in a bowl. To add insult to injury it was cold.

We used to be regular Rex pizza customers and the pizzas changed. Haven’t had one in months (maybe even a year) and gave it another try - the pizza is genuinely depressing. Your base/crust is just terrible - get the old chef/recipe/product back. The only good thing about this was the delivery guy who is an absolute gem and we missed our wee chats with him!

called the shop about order being late girl was quite rude in her speech said they don't start doing deliveries till after three even though it said on app delivery 2.45 to 3.05 had the choice to ask for a partial refund which I requested shop refused any refund and said they would give us something free from the menu when order arrived there was nothing free from menu included

Got the sticky toffee pudding but no ice cream. Was really looking forward to it so a bit gutted. Special fish was lovely as always.

one item was still cold in the centre and the chips were padded out with tiny pieces of fried potato that were only fit for the bin.

Waited almost 3 hours for a freezing cold meal. Phone numerous times to be told each time it was on its way, from where I don’t know! It had obvs been forgotten about and driven about in a car for hours .

The chips were absolutely horrible, it was like they were just scraped from the bin, were so black n so dry, not even fresh either, and the pizza crunch was sooooo soggy. And the same with the sausage. I am absolutely appalled at the service I received from here today.

Placed order at 7.20, didn’t get delivery until 10.15. Had phoned twice and was told delay due to roadworks. Shop is only 10 minutes away. WILL NOT be ordering again 🤬🤬

The chips and curry sauce were great however, this is the 3rd time I’ve had pizza from here in the last few months and it’s been really disappointing because it was always my favourite pizza place. The base is far too thin which makes it too crispy and the topping is extremely poor. There is little to no topping on the pizza’s now. The pizza was actually a little burnt and I was there 15 mins early to collect. Really disappointing.

No salt or vinegar, rather disappointing simple instructions couldn’t be met, brown sauce also came in a tub, unsure if this is the new norm but ain’t the same. Delivery driver was an absolute gentlemen and would only order from here again due to his charisma and happy attitude.

Chips were absolutely awful, both my friend and myself ate about 4 or 5 chips and binned the rest. Avoid as it's not onestis anymore.
