very welcoming. carvery is lovely and menu choice is vast. staff very welcoming and carvery chef very helpful and friendly. we have been a few times now and will be back soon.

We had the carvery, I was more or less served a plate of fat rather than roast beef. This was shocking, I should have refused. Only had about 3 bites of meat. Must be the cheapest of cheap they buy in. Certainly won’t be back. Roast potatoes also cold and stodgy.

This is not as good as Chain Runner carvery, which we have had many times. Was a busy Sunday teatime. On a positive note the meat was good quality and tasted fine. However the amount served was poor. One slice of turkey and ham with a small extra bit on each. The Turkey was cut very thin. This was an amount we would have given our grandchildren. The cauliflower was rock hard and had not been cooked enough. The roast potatoes were soggy and cold. I notice lots of people going full works for £15.99 so maybe that’s the best option rather than traditional carvery for £11.99 Anyway disappointing .

Love grabbing a breakfast at the Stonehouse. Our family love the friendly staff, great food and very reasonable prices. Recommend this restraunt for lunch and dinner too. Thoroughly encourage you visit.

Carvery was good, but dont order the fish and chips!!! The fish was small and either fried 2 long or deep fried in week old oil!!! It was dark and crunchy!!!! There was even a chip, deep fried and clinging to the outside of the fish Two people in our group ordered the fish and both fish were the same... Shame!!! As the carvery was good and the roast potatoes were crispy!!

Have been coming here regularly for a few months now. Very reasonably priced, good food and lovely staff. Big old farm building, lots of character and plenty of room. Only downside is it could do with a few extra staff at times. Love this place.

Not impressed. It was cold with a blower on. Environmental health issue with the salt container which was damp and rusty which I tried to point out to a kitchen staff member. Didn't appear to understand what I was trying to tell him. Had to advise him to stop shouting at me as I had already resolved my issue by myself as I was not complaining.

First of all, I know electricity is expensive but the whole premises was freezing cold. Not great for elderly and babies. Carvery meats were dry but edible and the veg similar. Not great hence 2/5. Tea and coffee from machine was tepid and more noticeable because of the cold. Overall it was a poor experience which won't be repeated. If they make some small tweaks it could have been so much better.

The service was very slow cauliflower was half cooked my daughter ordered the large carvery and only got 3 bits of gammon also ordered chips to go with it and they came out after she had finished the meal wont be back

Do you like LONG WAITS to: be seated? order your food? queue for your food? Booked table in advance and we were kept waiting at the door to be seated for approx 10 mins. Bar person avoided eye contact. No apology offered when someone came to seat us. We then had to wait again to order food at bar. My friends pizza arrived way before I even got through the carvery queue. Veg was dry and had clearly been there for a while. Won't be returning.

Staff miserable the roast beef was dry Yorkshire puddings cold veg brick hard and tasteless roast potatoes the same I only wanted gammon I got 1 slice and the shavings off the board can remember when this place was great but definitely won’t be back

. So disorganised, stood for 15mins just waiting to have my meal at the carvery. Staff were too busy making up meals for delivery. Food was palatable, but they really need to employ more staff. This happened the last time we were there too, earlier in the day. Waited almost 10mins for someone to book us in. Seem to be short staffed every time we visit.
