Rude staff, very standoffish. Not enough staff? The waiting times were a joke. There was nothing on the MAIN menu to say that certain items are classed as breakfast items and are no longer served at lunch time.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff & extremely good food & cakes & an excellent mug of tea. 10/10 after a lovely walk around the park.

Perfect little cafe for a coffee stop while out walking in polkemmet park. Cheery new owners, open between Christmas and New year which it never used to be and dog friendly

absolute rip off! £6.50 for a "cheese panini" basically 2 pieces of toasted bread with melted cheese and had the audacity to charge an additional £1 for a slice of ham. Small portions. Nearly £30 for a couple of coffees, soups and this, we could have had a 2 course proper lunch for 2 at a bar or restaurant. Don't recommend.

We came in for lentil soup and a toastie which were both fine, but nothing special. The staff were friendly enough but they stop serving food at 1:30pm.

As Tripadvisor is largely unregulated and in fairness to this establishment, I don't intend to list (it would be a long list) all their inadequacies as it could have been an off day and we are living in very difficult times. However, other places are managing to do their bit and uphold their standards. We had to wait which was acceptable, we got in and immediately one of our party was challenged about non wearing of mask despite the lanyard and card depicting 'hidden disability' and she does indeed have a disability hence the reason she was wearing it. Once she noticed it (how you could miss it) she did apologise and thereafter it just went steadily downhill. Track and Trace was not offered but it was there at the counter - onus on the customer to be proactive! Menu was handed out and you have to go to the counter - only one person allowed and a maximum of 2 at the counter (there was 3 at the counter plus a child) and no challenges to that extra individual flouting the rules. It was 2pm and when we went to order, we were told the kitchen was closed! I'll end this by saying if it was the last place on earth, it will not receive our custom and I don't take any pleasure in posting during these difficult times, negative reviews but people need to know, especially those who have children with disabilities that are hidden like Autism and AHD. I do wish Tripadvisor would change their format and allow us to remove stars rather than having to reward them. In it's favour, the place was immaculate - don't think I've ever seen a cleaner establishment.

Best Fish & Chips in Broxburn & Uphall and surrounding area, probably the best you’ll find outside of Edinburgh. Very friendly staff. There’s always been a chip shop in Broxburn ran by the same Italia

Nipped in for a pint but regulars were friendly , staff were excellent and beer was nice so stayed lot longer then expected. Food coming out looked better then an average witherspoon
