A table of four, we each had a large traditional Scottish breakfast. Service from Mandy was excellent (well done Mandy) and food was first rate, all served on nicely warmed plates. We appreciated the efficient speed of service also. Well worth the visit for a nice breakfast

We love going to Dobbies but it was so much better when the coffee was hot. The service is never the fastest but a lukewarm coffee at the checkout is cold by the time it reaches the table. Been told it’s the new machines and the staff do their best by offering to heat the cups but still would prefer it much hotter.

Met a friend for coffee and decided to have a scone . It was so dry !! Couldn’t even spread the butter it just crumbled, might have been days old . Would have put it back and asked for a refund but friend paid . Won’t be back

Soooo slow. Dreadful service. Staff to busy chatting to each other about their holidays and hugging each other than than serving

Truly awful waited almost an hour for a toastie which was stone cold when it arrived. The place wasn’t even busy the systems and running of this place is from the dark ages. Avoid at all costs!!!

We had been seated for at least ten minutes before anyone came to take our order - I asked a member of staff who was standing about, and she said she'd get someone for us, then continued to stand about. Our tea came half an hour after placing our order. I was given a dirty cup which I had to ask to be replaced. There was no sugar or any condiments on the table - we had to ask for these. We waited a further 40 minutes for the food to arrive. The restaurant wasn't even busy - in the main section there were 27 EMPTY tables. The staff really looked as though they didn't want to be there at all, and were grumpy, unfriendly, and unhelpful. While waiting for the food to arrive, I paid a visit to the loos which were a disgrace. Filthy. All in all, an awful experience.

Table service non existent! Shown to our seats and had to catch someone’s eye for: Order to be taken Vinegar Refill salt Coffee and cake order Sugar Hot food was delicious. Fish and chips and chickpea curry. Cakes overpriced and tasteless

A really terrible restaurant. An order of 6 items arrived with 2 of them wrong. The toasties were cold and soggy from sitting in liquid from the accompanying salads. The chips appear to be a bargain at £1.50 but this works out at 20p a chip. Most of the staff are local school kids, doing their best but untrained. Older staff are run off their feet and come over as abrupt and uncaring. Whole place is dirty, chairs covered in food crumbs, floor grubby. Never again.

Stopped here for a coffee and cake and while the food and drinks were good, the service was very slow and many tables were left uncleared and dirty after customers had left. Nothing special

Non existent customer service , waited for 45 minutes for bake potatoes and got only 1 instead of 2 ..really really disappointed

We have been a few times during the summer and we have enjoyed our breakfast roll & coffee, the service has been great if any complaint a little slow with the coffee arriving but overall its reasonably priced and such a great place to bring your dog! The staff are so friendly and accommodating. We will keep returning. Good value for money.

Still waiting on a response from management from December 2021 when I was told I couldn't have all the drinks that I have on my Dobbies Card. To be honest the service at Dobbies Lasswade has really went downhill. 20 mins to take your order and when it arrives it wrong. This branch needs some further staff training including the management

Dropped in for coffee and a cheese scone. After an inordinate long wait, I finally got served, friendly enough staff, but the scone was horrendous. Firstly it was massive, but didn’t taste of cheese, doughy consistency, horrible. Never again. Coffee was pretty bland too.Could do better!

Visited Dobbies today and as the Carrot Cake looked good I decided on a slice of this rather than the usual scone.. OH DEAR.. I should have stuck to the scone.. Nothing wrong with the taste of the cake but if I didn’t know any better I’d have thought the cake was for a child.. At £3.75 a slice, it barely filled the saucer (not a side plate) it sat on.. Very expensive - Very disappointing..

We were asked to wait 30 minutes for entry to get a coffee when less than 1/3 of the tables were taken. Covid? I don't think so! Just bad management and insufficient staff.

I’ve visited Dobbies with my 3 year old a number of times over the last year but felt they deserved some credit now for the way they have raised their game in the soft play area. Queuing is no longer a mess and good food was served in a timely fashion. Well done and thank you.

I visited here with my 2 year old son to meet a friend and her daughter for lunch and some time in the soft play area for the little ones to burn off some energy. It was extremely busy and the soft play part was at full capacity so we were placed on the waiting list and asked to take a seat in the main restaurant. We were more than happy to do this, and we were quickly attended to by the friendly waitress to take our order. The manager was on the floor at the time and he approached us to reassure us that there would be a table available as soon as possible in the soft play, then within 5 minutes we were informed we could go through. Our food and hot drinks arrived soon afterwards. What great service! I feel Dobbies is a very well run restaurant and they really think of everything to make the customers experience an enjoyable one. Hats off to the management and to all of the very pleasant staff who work there. I’ll be recommending Dobbies to all of my friends.

Popped in for a light lunch. Sat down and ordered quite quickly and cokes arrived in a couple of minutes. Half and hour later nothing else had. Table next to us with small children got up and walked out after 40 minutes. When chased up the waitress said there was 30 to 40 delay which was never mentioned when we ordered. It eventually arrived after 45 minutes. Soup was like cold dishwater, a panini was also cold and empty and the bowl of chilli also cold, sour cream separating and rice congealed. Absolutely appalling and will definitely not consider coming back

Ate here on a Sunday lunchtime, complete disaster. 45 mins from ordering to food arriving. The food that did eventually arrive was cold and soggy. Avoid.

Arrived just after 1.00 and the place was very busy. A pleasant server took our order and we waited longer than we should have for our food. I dislike the costume in so many informal dining restaurants to serve you tea before food is remotely served because by the time the food comes the tea is cold. I ordered fish finger roll and my husband had the steak mushroom and ale pie. My food was inedible. The fish finger was all crust and the meat smelled and tasted foul. My husband’s pie was all crust! Both meals were not hot enough, especially the fries. It shouldn’t be a challenge to deliver hot food. My food was exchanged for a bacon and Brie toastie served with equally cold chips. Very poor value.

Met with family for food and catch up. Lovely as always. Food is great value and kids loved it. It can get busy at times so I would make sure you get in early.

Having spent a lovely morning at the butterfly house we went into the restaurant for lunch with our grandchildren. We had been once before and enjoyed the food. This time it has changed to waitress service. We ordered the food,had quite a wait. The three children had the children's menu. But when the food arrived the macaroni cheese was hardly recognisable. We were given no cutlery, no serviettes. My husband had an Americano coffee with no milk and Luke warm. Each time we had to go and find these missing objects. My espresso was cold. We ordered scones but they must have been one or two days old as they Just fell into crumbs as we tried to add butter. The final moment that made us cross the was my grandson spilt his milk. It was went across the table onto a chair and the floor. Standing right by us were 4 waitresses who never offered to help as we grovelled on the floor trying to mop up the milk. Very disappointed ☹️ we will not be using this restaurant again.

I have been visiting this Coffee Shop fairly regularly, went there on 17th January 2020 & noticed the Coffee Shop had been revamped..... I have always enjoyed a Coffee & Cake here so thought it looked really promising when I saw the new layout.

Since the revamp of Dobbies Melville, Dalkeith the restaurant service and food is not nearly as good as it was before. Every time we have visited the restsurant there has been something wrong. We have persevered thinking it could only get better, but not so. Today we went to have coffee and approached the small coffee & cake section. Food was on display but no staff to be seen. Another customer told us that the counter was not open but if we got a table someone would come to take our order. We went elsewhere and I will definitely not be renewing my Dobbies Card.

A group of us visit dobbies Chesterfield at least 3 times a month last month I lost my card and went to the checkout to ask for a replacement I had all the information needed card no etc but was told it's nothing to do with us you have to phone head office .this is the same checkout where I paid for the card .I applied to the head office and 10 days later received my new card .later I bought some items from chesterfield dobbies and handed in a small rewards voucher with my new card was then told the voucher was no good now as the new card had a different no ,you'll have to phone head office will we join again when our cards expire ,####

We arrived at 12:10, after ordering the food (always "just coming" according to staff) finally arrived 1hour later, there was no warning of the wait. staff were very evasive on wait and we assume that our food had been forgotten about. After asking staff twice, (you had to go and find them), it finally arrived, some of it was good but the chips were cold, and of poor quality and there was no apology for the wait. Some of our party had to leave and we had to chase the staff for any contact to sort out the bill. It as busy but it's obvious that any system that was in place had failed completely.

Oh dear me, revamp of restaurant ok but revamp of menu certainly not.We now have what I would describe as PUB FOOD, stodgey ,no idea why panini have been removed.On wed last week I have to say the Gents toilets were in a shocking state,3 cubicles all unusable in my view anyway...If I return I will have a sandwich and no meal..Staff again as in a few years back wondering around looking for table numbers to deliver the food.....that system used to exist and had been replaced by flashing food ready to collect device..table service is fine if it works but not just yet it seems.Plants are great!

Prebooked and Prepaid Christmas lunch for 4 OAPs. Been doing this for 4 years and have always loved it.

At first we were only going to have a coffee but after seeing the menu the 4 of us decided to have a light lunch, we all had toasties, 2 Tuna & 2 Ham & Cheese.

As huge fans it was time for another Christmas visit from Wales to enjoy a Dobbies shopping spree and breakfast with friends only to be absolutely gutted on arrival. The interior had been completely re-designed leaving wide spaces with an unimaginative choice of displays and stock. The Christmas section, normally a great treat and full of atmosphere, was flat, unimaginatively lit and boring. As for the restaurant, it was bigger, colder, uninviting with an open plan design that was reminiscent of a 60's factory canteen. The wonderful breakfast buffet area had gone and was replaced by table service and a more limited breakfast menu. What's even worse and unforgivable, all four cooked breakfasts arrived lukewarm on cold plates. We all left without a single purchase between us. You've lost the plot Dobbies and, judging by a lot of the reviews, you're losing old and new customers too. A very disappointing return visit ......and our last.

Since my last visit to Dobbies it has gone under a revamp not only to the store but to the café / restaurant aswell ...The large selection of food has gone instead there is a small café and a table service for Breakfast/ baked potates/ soup etc , we sat down to a clean table and a waiter came up to us to take our order , we waited for 15mins before the waiter came back to our table to inform us we had to wait another 15mins for our food , they don't cook food til 12pm he was very sorry he hadn't informed us of this time scale and offered a free drink ..The food did arrive and tasty and warm . The only thing I was surprised by is that dogs are aloud in the restaurant we had 3 near us ..So if you don't like dogs watching you eat then do go there ..

I am reviewing Dobbies on a visit yesterday to have lunch the service, suspect to say the least no communication about delays. As the was a visit to see Santa & also my elderly mothers first trip out in weeks. The chips were Luke warm & when had we ordered cakes & coffees we were not told it would be a least 30 minutes wait. This was not acceptable. So I spoke to someone to see if we could come back to the same table but that was a no. Then we had to separate so, my daughter could take my grandson to Santa, why we tried to have the cakes removed for our bill which the poor young girl could not do. And to make matters even worse the person I had spoken to about keeping the table, had went over to Santa’s Grotto & was saying to Elf we have just had a big table walk away without paying there bill, not realising that my daughter was standing next to her & my daughter had just been explaining why we were late. Absolutely terrible serve and to be made out to have not to have paid was shocking take note Dobbies

We went to Dobbies for a meal at 3.30pm. Seated ourselves on a dirty table because none were cleaned and waited for someone to take our order. After about fifteen minutes and others who had got there later being served my husband went to ask someone to take our order. At no point during the hour plus we were waiting for our food did someone clear our table of the dirty plates. A guy came and asked us if we had ordered a burger and we said yes,he walked off. Then he came back with what looked like my husband's panini and said we're we having food- we said yes,he turned round and went back to the kitchen with the plate. After about 25 minutes my husband's cup of tea finally arrived and we complained to the waiter who went to check and then told us the chef had been told we'd already had our food and sorry he would cook it now and be about ten minutes. We sat there for another half an hour in which time the table next to us, who had arrived well after us, were bought a burger,the waiter came and asked them if they had ordered and was told yes but they were missing two items, the he came back with one of the two items and said sorry there you go is that everything... And the a different waiter came out with their final item and an extra burger which they told him they hadn't ordered but he left on their table anyway. We had to get a refund and leave to find dinner elsewhere. The staff are completely incompetent,noone knows what table has been served or who is waiting for what. At one point there were three staff members chatting by the kitchen door and another two mooching around tables and not one bothered to speak to any of the frustrated tables to see if they could help. There is zero organisation and zero care for the customers. We love Dobbies and have never had a bad experience anywhere else but we will never ever be returning to this one.

The waiter was lovely, very polite and friendly. We ordered breakfast paid for it at 1101 and it arrived at .... 1145 :(( And then it was cold. Really nice food other than the fact it was cold. Let’s hope they get the process working better as the change to the new serving approach doesn’t seem to be working so far :(

Got some breakfast food today and it was incredibly dry. The coffee station takes forever and its very poor coffee we wont be returning.

Following a recent makeover Dobies Restaurant the wait to get served, particularly at weekend is unacceptable.

Loads of seating, the restaurant has a bright, modern, child friendly ambience. Great value meals with loads of choice. Pleasant staff. Pastrami and Swiss cheese toasted sandwich was yummy.

My friend and I came in for hot chocolate and cake. The hot chocolate was lovely and so was the cake.

The young man taking our order was very nice.

Arrived to have morning coffee and scones. By the till my tray accidentally slipped on to the floor mainly due to a very poor counter design.

Treated my friend to the Downton Abbey theme afternoon tea and it was lovely. A variety of small finger sandwiches which were fresh, small scones with jam and cream and a selection of mini cakes and macaroons. We had a choice of special coffees Cappuccinos, lattes or tea and as much as we liked. The lady Nicola who served us was friendly and very attentive and nothing was a bother to her, there was also a young chap who was very helpful too. It was good our table was up at the back of the restaurant away from the hustle and noise so we were able to sit, relax and hear each other speak. Would definitely recommend this as also good value for money. Can’t wait to go back

I had the chicken leek and ham pie with chips. The chicken & leek pie resembled a large burnt pork pie that was difficult to cut, so much so the half my peas were blasted of my plate onto the floor when I forced my knife through the pastry. The chicken was tasteless and chips were of the poor oven variety in taste. My wife had watered down lentil and bacon soup that was tasteless. The pricing is the same as you would pay at a renowned restaurant without the quality. We both left without hardly touching our meals still hungry and disappointed.

This place is very nice. My favourite thing to eat here is the Belgian waffle which is very good. It’s a big restaurant so there’s a lot of space.

A total shambles, cold sandwiches and tea and coffee at one bit but soup had to be ordered elsewhere......never again

The sign says we will meet you greet you and seat you. We'll they don't after being ignored by 5 staff caught the 6 one and he did find the 6 of us a table. Food was very good and reasonabley priced, hence the 5 stars. Ps take the sign down.

My wife and I called in for breakfast on Sunday 18th August at about 10.30am to be told that there was an approx 30min wait for any breakfasts.

The café at Dobbies in Edinburgh has always had problems, but recently they have taken it to new levels of ineptitude. If you are looking for staff who haven't got a clue what they are dong, awful management, terrible service, overpriced food and drink, a chaotic atmosphere, and about an hour wait, minimum, for your order, then go to Dobbies in Edinburgh. How they manage to make it so terrible is quite something. There are so many staff, but the service gets worse. They have built a new restaurant with hundreds of tables that they can't serve or service properly. They had a chance to go back to basics - get the basics right - good food at good prices well served. Instead greed, presumably, saw them set out as many tables as possible - with no regard to the experience. Avoid at all costs.

My daughter used to love this place especially for the mac n’ cheese. It has changed though following their revamp. The sandwiches are tasteless and pricey, coffee is bland and bitter and the raw veg and hummus was such a rip off. Try going elsewhere.

After ordering our food at till & because it was a big order the till operator repeated back to us what we had ordered all good we thought, how wrong we were. The drinks arrived all ok, but then the food arrived well correction some of it did.

I went for a visit with my husband and granddaughter to the new refurbished Dobbies restaurant yesterday and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. We had lunch in the soft play and was looked after well by a lovely young girl called Holly who was working in that area, she couldn’t do more for us and our granddaughter named her “Happy Holly” ! The food was nice even though we did have a small wait, coffee was also perfect. Will definitely be going back soon.

We used to really like this place but since refurbishment it is terrible. Had coffee and scones but scones are uncovered and coffee to staff over 5 mins to make although there were 5 staff behind the counter. Tables were dirty, had to search for knives and napkins, then when we found a table discovered it was "DOG FRIENDLY". Not impressed with dogs in a restaurant. Wont hurry back.

The new restaurant looks lovely with more tables and no more waiting in a queue while your food gets cold but was disappointed with the whole visit. It was very busy,school holidays, but we were served reasonably quickly. There was no milk for my tea so I had to go and queue to get some. I ordered a baked potato which was grey and luke warm, and my tea was pretty much the same. I was hungry and didn't fancy yet another wait in a queue to complain. My partner's food was hot but he said his decaf coffee was pretty tasteless. To top it all, when I got home I discovered I had been charged for 3 drinks instead of 2.I feel they have spent a lot on the look of the place but nothing on improving the quality of the food.I'll may go back for a coffee and a cake but I won't waste money on a meal.

This place was long over due a facelift and to re evaluate the way things were. On arrival we were greeted and asked to take a seat. Choose our food and then place our order at the counter. It would be served to our table. 20 mins after ordering we we given our drinks. 40 mins after ordering we got our food. When it arrived it was cold. Should’ve complained but as we went for a late breakfast this could easily have turned into our evening meal had we had to wait for a replacement. The muffin on which my eggs royale was hard and stale?! Same for my daughters bagel. Will not return and very disappointed

Dobbies used to be excellent in its self-serve and somewhat upmarket café.

I have visited twice in recent weeks just for a scone and coffee. Have been lucky enough to get a nice comfy seat and although I've joined the slightly smaller queue as I didn't want hot food, it still takes ages to be served. A few people behind counter but only one making coffee and more importantly only ONE checkout. Scone was nice and latte ok but I lifted 9 plates from the puke before I found one which was clean! 9! They all had smeared butter residue left on them or water from the disaster and finger prints on them! Yuck- puts you right off! Cafe has had an overhaul but judging by the chaos I saw with my own eyes and other reviews it seems it certainly could work better. Over £5 for my average wee bite to eat but I did get a seat on a wonderfully comfy sofa. You'd have to shout to be heard in a conversation as Dobbies seems really popular with mum's and toddlers and the associated noise is ear splitting sometimes. Would go back as it's local but its not relaxing.

We used to visit quite a lot prior to the refurbishment, and quite liked it. We've been back 2-3 times since, for both lunch and breakfast. Today will be the last time.

Arrived at 11:45 on a Sunday to be told breakfast was finished and no more orders would be taken however lunch orders wouldn’t start until 12:30. So a 45 minute void where the only food available was cakes and a small selection of sandwiches.

As reported by others check out attendants cant see the food on your tray unless it is lifted about 9" from the tray rack, basic ergonomics i would have thought.

Where the shop and restaurant are nice and there is good choice on menu, the service is crap. If there is more than 30 people in the restaurant be prepared to wait and wait and wait for food, then wait another half hour for your drink order, been disappointed on more than one occasion. They obviously need more staff

Took my granddaughter to play in the new soft play area .... while she thought that was brilliant ( she’s only 2 ) the 25 min wait in the queue to purchase the ticket was a disgrace ... you can only buy the ticket at the coffee shop and the staff working there really need a rocket, had to be the slowest ever. This could have been avoided if they had a separate till for the soft play area and staff that didn’t move at a snails pace. Not something I will be repeating any time soon, very disappointed

I have visited this restaurant frequently over the years but it has recently had a major refurbishment. It is difficult to imagine how such basic design errors have been permitted into the new facilities.

I've visited Dobbies often before refurbishment. However, last 2 visits were awful the place is changed, prices up by 25%, not clean at all. The ice cream given to my kids with one single spoon, mixing different flavors from previous people. The restaurant, or what the Dobbies is calling now restaurant have no single option from the long list of items gluten free, even the chips and fries now not gluten free (anybody knows why ?). I can't see the food before booking, I am not sure if the food is fresh. I am not visiting such places, because I want to see first what I can take and how fresh is it.

My wife and I visited the new restaurant after its recent refit, Found a table with ease, my with had the steak pie with the mash and I had the chicken pie with chips, I popped up to pay and ordered some drinks too, Seven minutes later the drinks arrived and shortly after, two piping hot and rather delicious meals arrived and this was at a lunchtime too, my only regret is, I should have had the mash as it was the best restaurant mash I've tasted, on a par with the mash I make at home

Came here today for lunch with my partner and our young son. Restaurant was really busy when we arrived but we were quickly taken to a table and seated. Within 5 minutes we had all our drinks and within 15 minutes we had our meals. The restaurant staff were all really nice and friendly, Lynn was extremely helpful to us and even took the time to come and chat with us and interact with our little one despite being run off her feet running the restaurant single handily! What a credit she is to the restaurant and to dobbies as a company- Well done Lynn ! After having our meals we visited the little seedlings soft play and my little one loved it! (Although I think his dad had more fun than him!!) all in all a great place to come for a family day out and I would highly recommend dobbies to all my friends & family. Keep up the good work dobbies (and dobbies staff!) ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Visited for breakfast with the family. Love the new concept. Our food and drinks came out red hot. Great menu for gluten free-once we had it explained to us. There are 2 separate coffee and cake areas. I love visiting Dobbies. This one is top of my list.

I tried here a month or so back and it was terrible but put it down to teething problems. Today was a disaster and that will be the last time I go to the new restaurant. We were told a 30 minute wait for a lasagna and toastie but my friend and I had a lot of catching up to do so were prepared to wait

Visited today for a breakfast, We Used to come a lot before refurbishment and loved their breakfast selection. New restaurant looks great pity about food!

The restaurant used to look inviting as you could see the food that would be served. Extra coffee machines and all tills manned to keep people having to wait so long and finally sit down to luke warm food is probably all that was required . There is now nothing that makes me want to go back. The scones which used to be excellent are now nothing like they used to be. The menu always had nice main meals and the breakfast was excellent. The change in my eyes was a big mistake. All of my friends who used to go to Dobbies just to eat have said that they will not go back.

I visited Dobbies first time in around over two years with my 3 year old son. We had heard there was now soft play in cafe area which sounds a great idea. Unfortunately it was a very confusing system, firstly went to soft play area where there was a coffee bar thinking I could order some coffee snacks & pay for play area before going through. Well, the male staff ignored me to the point I assumed it was closed as he carried on doing stuff behind counter. Another staff member came towards counter so I asked where do I pay for soft play etc and she directed me across to coffee area opposite side of cafe away from soft play area. I said I want to go into soft play area and she said I need to then come back and pay at first counter for soft play only. Okay, not ideal with my now little irritable son who doesn’t understand why he can’t just go in play area. So off I go to other side of restaurant get my coffee order, couldn’t pick up scones as no plates but counter girl said I can help myself. Umm yeah but no plates. So go back to scones and she gives me plates (get tutted at by two ‘ladies’ who make assumption I have just skipped them in queue) anyway get my items then head back across restaurant to other coffee counter who now are serving other customers coffee & scones....grrr. Pay for soft play girl staff tells me I get an hour and a half £3.50 so all whilst holding my tray of drinks scones coffee etc, as I go towards door for soft play (finally) girl at door now explains that it will only be an hour as it’s 2pm so 2-3pm and not an hour and half. By this point I just want to sit down as I could see my 3 year old on verge of a meltdown (as well as myself). Spoke to a few people inside who had been in 1.30-3pm so effectively I was short changed mostly due to the staff sending me all over restaurant unnecessarily. There is a little outdoor play park off courtyard sitting area outdoors and I noticed some kids from families sitting there were also coming into soft play area for free basically. No staff inside play area so they get away with it. Wish I had noticed before paying could have saved myself a bit time & £3.50!!! Anyway soft play area ok for infants- small. Coffee was nice enough. Doubt I would return, too stressful with the confusion.

This is second time I’ve had the Dobbies Breakfast and it will certainly be the last. The poached egg was hard, the beans were cold, there was no butter for the toast and finally the links sausage was like something I had never seen before. It had a smooth texture, it looked white and didn’t taste like meet.

Second time we visited for breakfast , both times we waited over 40 mins for our food really not acceptable. Will not be back .

First time we have visited since the refurb and have to say it was lovely, very organised, food lovely (toastie chips coleslaw -great value for money and really tasty) and the management/staff on the restaurant floor were very helpful and just generally really nice, friendly and went out their way for us. Ordered a cake for my daughter which they had ran out of, she picked a cheaper cake, the manager came back with a refund for cake and said the cake is on us for your inconvenience. Not sure what all the fuss is about. Yes it was busy but the atmosphere wasn't. We also love the new layout, runs lots better.

Lovely Breakfast at Dobbies newly furbished restaurant. Full Scottish breakfast was just the job for a day of sight seeing, Lovely staff, friendly with good service. The Coffee shop was clean, bright and such a pleasure to visit. Will definitely visit again.

Fantastic breakfast at Dobbies this morning! Bought the full Scottish breakfast and it came out quickly and beautifully presented! The staff were polite and helpful and also delivered our drinks at the same time as our breakfast! A delightful experience and I will definitely be returning!

The place was frantic! What a noise - the acoustics are now dreadful following the refurbishment. Lots of staff around but hardly a clean table to be found. Food was quite good and the waitress service worked well but as there's still an option of self serving, there was the usual queue. Just decide on a single system and leave it at that. Needs managed and organised.

First time I have been in since it’s face lift and what a difference!Decor and feel of it is lovely. Staff friendly and welcoming. No queuing at 3 different counters as everything brought to the table Food was delivered quickly and we really enjoyed it so thank you!

There are around 10 small tables in the area next to the soft play, so if you actually plan on supervising your children in the soft play your probably not going to be able to sit anywhere near it. Seems like missed opportunity given the size of the new restaurant relative to the tiny space allocated to tables by the soft play.

Well done The place looks fab something to be proud of in our local area. The restaurant is working perfect with breakfasts coming out within 5 mins or so.
