Breakfast is widely advertised as being available until 11.30am but should state subject to availability! I arrived at 10.55am Sunday morning looking forward to a full breakfast for myself and my husband. I waited in a queue for 15 mins only to be told “what’s left is in front of you and it will take too long to cook anymore, we’ve been busy” .I walked away in disgust. I did get the chance to speak to restaurant manager who was very apologetic , offered to get food cooked for us but the momentum had gone and wasn’t in the mood to be spoken to or served by the not so pleasant staff member ! If the staff were worth their salt someone should have alerted the queue that there wasn’t any breakfast left or should have notified kitchen staff more food was required. The restaurant certainly did not look busy nor the car park. When I say there was a queue I mean approximately 4 to 5 in front of me being served by a not so cheery staff member serving on her own until when I reached the hot food server another member of staff came out to help. I am a club member but will not be renewing my membership. If a business in this current economic climate can loose customers through rude staff and poor food quantity control then good luck to them. Four other customers behind me left the queue when they heard there was nothing left. It was the local May weekend, foresight should have prevailed and plenty breakfast items available. I understand food going to waste isn’t good either but surely if breakfast is being advertised until 11.30am then customers should be able to have it , even if it has to be cooked fresh! Gone are the days when the customer is king!

Precioso té de la tarde del día de la madre. La comida era preciosa y bien presentada y el personal (en particular, Karen) fue muy atento y aseguró que esta fue una experiencia muy positiva.

Bueno, ¿qué puedo decir que fue a pedir bocadillo sorprendido que la persona que sirve fue directamente a recoger mi bocadillo con las manos desnudas. Pedí otro por qué no un guante o incluso un papel para poner en mi plato. ¿Le dijeron que se lavó las manos antes? Esto todavía no es higiénico. Cuando se encuentran guantes, no hay concepto de cómo usarlos ya que se ponen en los electrodomésticos que siguen tocando, etc. La comida no debe servirse sin tocar. Impactante No es el mejor servicio.

This restaurant was such a disappointment. The floor was covered in crumbs and packaging and not just at our table. The carpet had large water stains on it and was badly frayed in areas to the point of being a trip hazard. There were used plates etc on the tables that we cleared up. Both myself and my sister tried to order two different meals that they didn’t have the ingredients for. The staff were very friendly and apologised. No big deal, disappointing but it happens sometimes. The meal came fairly quickly, which was good, however I had to ask for the small side salad to be replaced as it was browned and wilted in places. The staff had no issue with this and a new salad was politely brought out. You used to get decent portion there but it was sparse, especially considering the cost of the meal. The toilets were horrendous. Just run down and messy. There were two ladies that saw me looking in shock at the state of the place who expressed their displeasure with their experience of the food portions and the lack of cleanliness also. It was quiet as well. What happened to this place, it used be good and you’d struggle to get a table. It’s just so sad to see really. Even the plants area was messy in places with piles of leaves, dead flowers and spilled soil. The whole place needs some TLC. The staff are a big plus as every single one was really friendly and helpful throughout but with so many garden centers and restaurants in the area to choose from I’ll be eating elsewhere next time, which means I’ll be buying my plants elsewhere too for the convenience of it. I hope for their sake it was just an off day due to staff shortages or something. Not at all the treat that I’d hoped it would be.

My partner and I came so we could have a last meal before it closed. We arrived at 12 because we reckoned it would be busy with it being the final day. We were told the kitchen didn't open until 12.30 so as we had found a seat, opted to have a drink. We ordered food at 12.30 (pie & chips and a burger) and over an hour later it eventually arrived. Also people that came in after us got served before us. No apologies for our long wait. It is maybe a good think that it has closed now.

Ordentliches kleines Café. Auch wenn hier häufig Bustouren einkehren, so hat es einen gewissen Charme. Natürlich ist es ein Selbstbedienungscafé, aber hier draussen erwarte ich jetzt auch keinen Luxusservice. Es werden einige warme Gerichte oder auch Kuchen angeboten. Die Backkartoffel ist eine gute Wahl. Preise sind angemessen.

Ojalá hubiera leído comentarios sobre restaurante antes de ir. El personal ignoró nuestra mesa, notó que otros se iban porque no se les servía. Lástima porque la tienda principal encantadora. El personal del restaurante necesita capacitación en servicio al cliente. Evitar

Food ok but the coffee & decaf coffee was abysmal we will never get coffee in the restaurant ever again.

Absolutely brilliant service from Keira. We were waiting to be seated as the place was busy. She came in from shopping, and although she was not working, she seated us, cleaning the table first and offered us menus then took our order! What amazing service from an off duty member of staff. She’s an absolute credit to your company

We queued for 30 mins for a bowl of soup and cup of tea. Then waited another 30 mins for the soup to be ladled into a paper cup. See photos for what we got . They had clearly watered down the vegetable soup to eke it out. It was basically tepid water with a few bits of potato and leek floating around - and half filled a coffee cup. I paid £5 for the privilege - appalling. The tea was about £2 - with the cheapest teabag possible in a paper cup, so probably a profit of £1.95. And the crisps were £1.75 for a small bag! Complete rip-off. The rubbish was piled up everywhere, bins and trays were overflowing. And it was freezing, with the door propped open. The toilets were littered with loo roll on the floors. I appreciate there was a running race on, so there were many more people than usual - but they knew this months in advance and could have planned for it. Efficiency costs nothing and is just common sense. If you're expecting a busy day, have a load of sandwiches, rolls or paninis ready-made to go, or 'help yourself' soup.

I had praised this place previously, but that praise has been short lived, so won’t be returning until they know what they are doing. Ordered a classic burger and fries for my daughter…. my oh my what a disappointment, it was as thin as a saucer and charred to an inch of its sorry life, no cheese and a bun that looked as if it had been retrieved from someone else’s plate, and half a dozen chips. They took it back and it returned the exact same…. Shocking! Its gets better, I ordered the ramen, which I have done so many times. The plate was over flowing, too much water in the broth. When I told the server she said that’s how it comes… I said … no it doesn’t it should be 450 mls in the bowl. Don’t expect anything here that isn’t rushed, no quality control, just really poor, slovenly, couldn’t give a monkey’s food and service…. On Thursday we went down to the Commercial…. Now that was a burger let me tell you, thick juicy burger, cheese, gherkins, tomato, salsa mustard and lettuce a triump, plenty chips … can’t wait to go back next !

Visité aquí para el desayuno en el camino para un vuelo. La comida estaba fría, particularmente las croquetas de patata que obviamente habían sido cocinadas congeladas. A pesar de estar frío, el huevo y el morcilla estaban demasiado cocidos. Teniendo en cuenta que el precio de la comida en el aeropuerto es probablemente el doble de lo que es la ciudad, esto es pobre, por decir lo menos. Así que no volveremos a desayunar allí de nuevo.

La comida siempre parece buena. Pero pequeñas porciones en algunas de las cosas teniendo en cuenta el precio. Tampoco puedo obtener una orden correcta. Siempre falta un artículo o algo completamente diferente. Una y otra vez equivocarse está bien, pero cada vez sin duda está mal. No estoy seguro de lo difícil que es leer un boleto. Parece que todos comparten la misma célula cerebral.
