L & A Valente in Fife

It says in the offers that you get chips with the 2 topping pizza deal but when you get to the order summary and when I collected I was disappointed to find no chips. Fab apart from that.

Food took 2 hours to arrive & was cold.

Phones the shop 10 minutes after it was scheduled to arrive to be told they had forgot to make my order

Batter on fish and fritters looked old and unappetising - chips were ok but mostly tiny

I ordered a meal from l&a valente for my meal before leaving for to start my shift at work. The food was supposed to arrive at 1940hrs but didn't arrive until 2015hrs. By which time I had already left for work so therefore I didn't get my order before I left. I am asking for a refund as I paid for the order by card

The battered fish was a disgrace, more batter than fish, fish was dry, totally unacceptable for the price.

first time we have used Valenties as used to be great,but food was late and not hot so had to heat in microwave. Disappointed with portions...not enough chips with suppers. wont use again!

Ordered over 2 hours ago and still waiting, same thing happened a few weeks ago when ordered as well. Do not order delivery from here.

How to put into microwave because was cold

phoned the shop after an hour and it saying on here that it has been delivered when it hadn't to be told it is with the driver, phoned again 30 minutes later to be told again it is with the driver then phoned 35 minutes later to be told again it is with the driver, 2 hours and 10 minutes we have been waiting and still no food

the battered fish has no fish in it,the chips are not bad and I paid £5.50 for a little bit of donner meat

The haggis pakora is amazin but they fergot my dips. I weep. Pizzas and suppers were realllly good, all the extra toppings on pizza and no condiments on the suppers. had ordered 2x MINI fish suppers. Got 1 SINGLE fish and a mini fish supper.

Delivery was an hour and a half late, when I phoned they said they were on their way but it didn’t come till 40 mins after the phone call. Staff tried to blame this on the fireworks display in Burntisland but I live less than a 5 minute walk from the restaurant. I’d have picked it up if I’d known it was going to take this long. My order was only chips and cheese - I requested a refund while I was waiting but they refused.

I ordered extra topping of tuna-mayo on my baked potato. It came only as tuna, no mayo so it was dry. I didn’t enjoy it. Poor service and poor ingredients! Not serving what they’re supposed to serve!

2 litre bottle of coke ordered, 1.5 delivered and food was cold.

Fish and chips were cold. Fish had zero taste and white soggy chips. The chicken pakora was like eating a rubber tyre and the lettuce in the dish was literally brown and seeping. Disgusting looking and have pictures to prove it . Never again !

10/10 for this chippy in Kirkcaldy.

This is one of the best chippies in Kirkcaldy. Friendly owner and staff are fantastic.. Food always on time and hot when it gets here.Special mention for Ellie on the counter staff very hard working young lady. Shout out to owner Aliwho always delivers fresh ,hot foods brilliant fryer.

Tiny portion of chicken tikka ,withered salad ,tiny portion again hardly any relish on ,pizza was OK not much topping on ,expensive and felt like the owner was Rude ,the lads in there poor kids were miserable and seemed uncertain what they were doing ,asked me repeatedly what I was having got asked by each one to pay ,already had ,won't be going again !

Said it was delivered when wasn't, asked gir an update and was told it was going to be later than stated and still came later than that time stated and food was not cooked well, was burnt on outside and hard bits in middle.

Food arrived 2hrs 25 mins after ordering cold and inedible batter was rock hard !! And the chips were missing !! Called shop and said a second box would be sent out in around 20 mins .. 1 hour later still not delivered !!

When we opened food, my sausage supper had brown sauce on sausages only, not chips and the paper was stuck really really bad to the sausages because there was no plastic sheet in between that there normally is. Also asked for salt on fish supper as we weren’t home and that didn’t happen. Not usual good quality, disappointing

Everything Luke warm verging on cold. Fish chewy. Spent ages peeling the paper off fish and chips .... Wished we hadn't bothered. Pizza stodgy. Really really bad. Most ended in bin. Waste of money !

I have ordered from here previously on a weekend and the food was amazing, on time etc however tonight the food took 1hr and 35 minutes after ordering to come, when the food arrived it was clearly not fresh. It was soggy and not crispy at all, a bit disappointed and one very hungry toddler too who we had to end up making food for anyways

App informed me that my food had been delivered 20 minutes before it arrived and 20 minutes late, could have been a bit hotter but then that may be down to the delay. Sadly I was a bit of a let down by a business that normally has the best fish and chips in town. Really needs to get their delivery service up to standard.

Chips were disgusting, wrotten potatoes, not very hot and soggy, and the spicy haggis and smoked sausage were well over cooked

food was cold waited 1hr 50mins on delivery . some chips didn't taste like they were cooked properly. food was very greasy.

Pizza undercooked Chip steak full of grease Chips soggy

We placed the order about 7.20pm. Never got it till 9pm. Estimated delivery time was 8.25 - 8.35pm. I messaged just eat at 8.44pm and they said is should arrive by 9.10pm. Just arrived before then. The fish smelt and tasted horrible. Sorry we won’t be ordering from here again.

placed order at 7pm received a call at 9pm to say there was a delay with my order, 10.30 still no sign of order, will not be ordering again every time we order there always seems to be a issue with the order and in the last I have then went and collected the order

Originally the time was 30 mins when you order it. The time changes to 1 hour. Then arrives in 1 hour and 45 minutes after I ordered it. Food was wasted by the time it arrived. More than half in the bin!!

Just Eat is so easy to use and the time from ordering to delivery was good (around 50 minutes) which we expected. The food from L & A Valente High Street Kirkcaldy was also very good. A fish and pudding supper which was piping hot on arrival and tasty. Will definitely order from them again and use Just Eat, convenient and quick.

Used to be really good this place spent £17 on chicken pakora some greasy battered burger and chips and donner the pakora came and you could smash a window with it phoned and fair enough they sent a replacement but was still horrible the burger got thrown in the bin also don’t like leaving bad reviews but the food wasn’t good at all waste of money

Fish supper was horrible, very dry fish and bones still in the fish. What's the point in selecting if you would like salt vinegar etc but send it with nothing. The delivery took over 2 hours, even with asking for an update, said be 15 mins but it took 30 mins to arrive after an update request. Wasn't worth the money at all.
