The Robert Nairn in Fife

Got asked to leave because the group I was in sang happy birthday to one of the guys and someone joked at the end 'Happy 17th'. We were told we cannot make jokes like that in an establishment like this! We thought he was kidding, but no. Offered him ID as the guy was actually 23 and wouldn't take it. There were 14 of us putting quite a bit over the bar causing no trouble. Think someone was on a power trip that evening.

It's Wotherspoons, you know what you're getting when visiting here. Great prices on beers, wines, and spirits. Table service with the App. The food is as priced, don't come here for an expensive meal. The meals are well worth the money, the portions are good and the service is amazing. The Best bar in this area x

Mum went along for a work night out and the manager/supervisor was AWFUL. Overall they spent over £300 and got kicked out for making a joke, a boy turned 23 so they sung happy birthday and congratulated him turning "17" and the manager/supervisor had a go at them. He didn't care that there was a group was snorting coke but a joke set him off apparently!! Absaloute piss take

We've lived in Kirkcaldy for almost 4 years now, being from Edinburgh were used to a Weatherspoons. However I wasn't expecting the old, dreery, tired and outdated pub we entered. The absolute stench best the bar was appalling, you know when drinks have been spilled and a mop that's been laying about for many hours more than it should have had been used to clean up! Yuk! Online ordering made this a bit easier, the food was ok can't complain really. Needing a pee though? That's about 3 flights of stairs and the toilet was in disarray, messy and broken, the toilet roll holder was on the floor. Parking was very difficult despite it being around 6 in the evening, not the fault of the pub though I suppose. Not recommended at all

Nice boozer as most wetherspoons are, great prices, friendly staff and nice scran. My only complain is it needs a refurbishment, not much changed since it opened over 1998. Apart from that can't complain

After experiencing the 10oz gammon steak at spoons in helensburgh(delicious)I decided to do the same at spoons Kirkcaldy, What a mistake "burnt" was an understatement burnt, overcooked,dry, and disgusting no wonder the server disappeared like a Magicians assistant and after complaining all I got was "oh sorry" Well oh sorry I won't be eating there again.

Always love a wee spoons night out and the customer service in the Robert Nairn is unreal ! I want to thank Emma for being so lovely with us ! She deserves a raise for the amazing work she does and always with a smile on her face ! Class night ❤️

Have always loved a spoons sesh but this night, a member of staff I believe her name was Emma, took extra steps in order to help kick off my birthday celebrations with a bang! 10/10 service from everyone but especially Emma! Will be back!

Good food at the best prices in Kirkcaldy. Good atmosphere some friendly staff. Calum R and Sarah N stood out today on my visit.

Great atmosphere, plenty of choice on the menu, competitive prices and we never waited too long for our meal with great choice of beverages.

It's a Wotherspons, you know what to expect. Great service, good food, and drink deals. A great location situated in the centre of town, near the bus station. All good here

Nice and quiet pub. The food was good and not expensive. Lots of different beers.

I had the Brunch with added black pudding which was so thin and baked brittle it must have been cut from a Black Pudding Roll cook too long or left from breakfast. Beans congealed. Brittle unappetising Chips, Not a Pleasant experience. It was busy but no excuse for turning out bad food.

Went with family to celebrate a birthday they were very accommodating

I had a really nice bar lunch here today. I ordered fish and chips and was impressed at how well it was cooked. The batter was crispy and not too thick, the fish was cooked perfectly. My latte was hot and tasted really nice (considering it was from a self-service machine). Bottomless lattes were a bonus unlike other similar establishments that charge you per cup. The servers were polite, prompt and well presented.

The atmosphere and service were second to none due to the excellent service buy the staff . Calum and Sarah ran it with the proficiency of a Swiss watch. Will definitely be back again.

Been to loads of wetherspoons and have to say this is my favourite for a breakfast.Its hot as are the plates and usually quite quick at service,my local one is the golden acorn in Glenrothes and defo not as good,also the price is great at £3.14

Tuesday night,not going to be busy,staff where super nice,pints where spot on,witherspoon prices,great.food was really nice and presented perfect,pint and Korean noodles for £9,bargain.

It was busy so we had to sit next a family with a child that could not behave, he was climbing up onto table and the window sill, he was starting to be limb over to my table but an adult at his table swore and shouting at the boy, it stopped him come over, but he then started crying very loudly before running around the pub, and bringing back books from the shelf's. The food and the beer was great as and fantastic value for money. Just unlucky with unruly child.

Well me dads dad only drinks John smiths. He came up from Barnsley, passing through Scunthorpe and ma dad said the bartender said that he said he said to go to Malones and it sells lager. Not impressed by any stretch!

I was here with my family. And I hade an American burger with chip. In the patty I found a big bit of hair. And the chips hade little bits of hair

I had 4 medium wines and my friends had (guy's) 5 pints and whisky chasers and I was refused an other drink at 4 medium wines and was certain not falling about in the slightest

The place was disgusting, needs a good clean, the food was vile, our party of 17 left most of our meals, also ordered two starters and two mains and the full lot was served together

This place is looking extremely tired! The food was dry and overcooked. The team was helpful, and the service was good.

Breakfast was pretty decent to be fair, for the price for sure.

1st visit here for a few years, service fast and efficient, pub spotless. Clearly one of the Spoons where they make an effort. Cask beer spot on also.

Nice lunch here yesterday on a day trip to Kirkcaldy. Really nicely maintained building, very nice atmosphere and really good food. Chicken burger was very tasty, fish and chips very good, side salad fresh and coleslaw of a nice quality and not the vinegary ones that sometimes come as a side. Missed a five star review due to peas with the fish and chips my husband had were tinned and not frozen. Had he been told he would have chosen mushy peas instead which were also available. Service great, friendly staff, very helpful. Would return if in the area.

Very reasonably priced food and drink.

Service was quick. The server was smartly dressed and warned us that the plates were hot. Firstly we ordered the chicken melt. It was really hot and tge bacon had been cooked over the chicken instead of separate and added later thexwas just enough sauce to make the dish nice without overpowering it, the peas were perfect. Mushrooms very nicely prepared but the best was the onion rings OMG they were amazing. Will I come here again.... you bet I will

This place is a typical Wetherspoons- average food, variable levels of cleanliness and staff efficiency. Sometimes you’ll get fast, friendly, polite service and the tables will be clean etc, other times you’ll be lucky if there’s one table that’s not piled high with dirty plates and glasses and the staff make it clear you’re only there on sufferance. It’s generally quiet if you go in early enough for breakfast but then starts to fill up with old drunks and students from the college. Weeknights are usually fairly quiet as well

It's all you'd expect from Wetherspoons. Cheap grog and cheap food. Nice if you're in the mood.

8:30 on a Saturday morning in Kirkcaldy. The Robert Nairn is almost empty and we don't know why. The Wetherspoons establishment is pleasant enough. Nice pub, looked after, clean. The food arrived and it was really rather good. An extra egg, well cooked bacon and a perfect Scottish breakfast to set us up for the day. Affordable, tasty, peaceful. Recommended

The environment is nice and pleasant, but some attention needs to be paid to cleanliness. It takes a while to clean up after people leaving the table.

Well it's just Another Werherspoons, right? Yes but what value for money. With some great ales available at incredible prices who can complain. Yes the food is Wetherspoons but there's some great managers specials at the right time of day. Not a great atmosphere but as the day goes on it gets busier and busier and it's a great place to enjoy your evening.

Popped in to get a quick bite before an event and was very happy with the speedy service, the great food and the very keenly priced drink.

Worst food we have ever had! My husbands steak was ice cold and raw, I ordered a pizza and I got a wrap with cheese on it and 4 bits of pepperoni, that was after waiting half an hour. It was all sent back (I have never sent food back in my life!) second time around was a bit better. Won’t be going back. Half a start goes to the lady that looked shocked at our plates!

Birthday bash with family. It was really great. Great food and prices. Great atmosphere! Why are the toilets in these places so far away? They are either way down in the pits of hell, or way up in the rafters!!!! Apart from that, no problems, very clean and organised. Friendly, helpful staff. 10/10

The Wetherspoons Staff are the most friendly staff in any bar in Kirkcaldy plus prices for food and drink are very reasonable

I hope the staff that were in from like 5-9 see this because the staff are soooo nice, my partner was a little bit sick outside and all the staff fully understood and were so nice I wish I could thank them all. Best spoons I’ve ever been to. Food was pretty decent too. Big thanks to the large statured male with the beard n the lassie I didn’t really see properly who mopped up our mess. So nice and understanding. I would have been raging

From start to finish this whole experience was awful We waited 25 mins for a draught coke only to be told we had to buy cans at much higher Then we waited 1 hour for our food which was stone cold and the looked like it had just been pulled from a bag from Iceland Do your selfs a favour and avoid this place at all costs don’t ruin your day

Came here just before Christmas to have the turkey dinner. Now I set the expectations very very low with pub food but this turkey dinner I had was particularly revolting and smelled very strange. I took a few bites and even though I was really hungry I left the rest for the bin and went elsewhere. The staff were okay but the seating area and bar area appeared quite grubby. This place desperately needs a deep clean.

The historical building is beautifully maintained.... Very popular with the locals as they served good value meals and drinks Staff is always friendly and efficient

Lovely open fire every day .makes it a cosy place to go compared to some cafes that dont even have heating .good food and hot drinks at reasonable prices .

Use this place regularly for main meals and a beer. No problem with service or staff and on some occassions was really busy. Welcoming and value for money.

Met up with girlfriends and had food. Was a busy night (Thursday) but wasn't waiting long for food. Various food, beefburger, scampi, fish, steak, and all comments were good.

Not the best wetherspoons now. Really needs a revamp. Used to love coming here. I mean we'll still go as it's great value for money. It lacked atmosphere when we went and always seem to have lack of items.

The worst weatherspoons I've been they only had one beer on we had one drink when outside there was people out there but not drinking or eating watched two lad's warming up a spoon at the back of the outside place not nice to see not be going back again
