I usually come here for breakfast every Sunday but I think this will be my last. The food is absolutely appalling. Overcooked breakfast. The breakfast muffin was brick hard and the cheese was obviously out for too long. The bacon was dry and disgusting. Ive been seeing them leaving trays of bacon etc out so its just dried out and hard. The cheese on the muffin was solid and vile. I also ordered a warm cookie dough and it was cold and ice cream completely melted. I know this isn't a 5* restaurant but they really need to have a look at what the chefs are doing. The breakfast is just disgusting. Definitely the worst wetherspoons brekky out there. Edit: My partner now has an extremely upset stomach.

A lovely spot. Came in on a chilly January day for lunch with my wife and little 6 month old daughter. Welcomed warmly and a high chair was put out for her and a space by the fire. Warmed up with some lovely Cullen Skink. So loved it we returned the next night for our final dinner. Had fabulous crispy monkfish and my wife the classic haddock and chips. Followed with a cheeky apple crumble to share. Just lovely. The way pub food should be. The staff though could not have been lovelier. True Highland hospitality

05/04 brought 2 large Gordon’s pink gin & 2 low calorie tonics paid £7.28 brought 2 more and was charged £10.90 when questioned bar person they said we must of been charged for singles. I then spoke to female staff member who said there is two buttons on till for pink gin and that was that no offer of refund. Came in 11/04 ordered 2 large Gordon’s pink gins & 2 low calorie tonics charged £7.28 really think there is training issue here . Enjoying coming here but hate being ripped off

I was feeling slightly apprehensive about attending my booking once I read some of the reviews, however I’m glad I didn’t give it a miss! Firstly the service was impeccable, my partner and I had our first drinks order taken soon after we were seated and did not wait long at all for them to arrive. We shared the scallops to start which are 10/10, although the portion size was small considering the price, the taste was worth it. My partner also had the chicken wings starter which he enjoyed however I would give the parmesan fries a miss - fries slightly over cooked and they were presented in a way that meant most of the parmesan was at the bottom. Mains also arrived fairly quickly, large portion sizes for the sea bass and calzone which I’d highly recommend. We went at night time and the atmosphere was still good but I can imagine the stunning views of the loch that would be available during the day so I would take this into consideration before visiting. Overall cannot fault our experience one bit, slightly pricey as some of the other reviews state, we paid roughly £107 (minus the service charge) for 2 starters, 2 sides and 2 mains with 2 cocktails however considering the location this wasn’t too steep in my opinion.

Visited this week and decided to have lunch. Everything looked lovely. Unfortunately the macaroni although every tasty was warm verging on cold. I have eaten here on a few occasions over the years and this has always been the case. The plates are warm but cool down very quickly, which didn't help. The food was put under a heat lamp but no idea why as didn't heat the food. The veg, chips and potatoes were the same. I was there at 12 so I thought the food would not have had time to cool down.

Went into the Gathering for a couple of drinks after being out walking all day. The bar man was quite rude and came across as though he did not want to be there. I went to get a second drink, stood waiting at the bar for over 5 minutes and no one came to serve me, went into the cafe part and asked for a server to come down, bearing in mind the cafe was empty, waited another 5 minutes before deciding to leave and go elsewhere. On leaving, the bar man was standing outside. I did say I would have stayed longer had there been someone available to serve me, and got various excuses from him - its out of season, he's the only one working, he had to restock etc etc. Very poor and would expect better!
