This location functions as a hotel / restaurant / large gift store that feeds the Jacobite Loch Ness cruises. I came here early for breakfast as my hotel was not serving food that early. The food was good and the portions large.

The Cobbs restaurant experience was extremely pleasant for us - a family of four with grown up kids. The food was absolutely fresh. Highly recommend the risotto there. The restaurant staff was kind and friendly. The restaurant overlooks the Loch & it stands midway in the drive from Inverness to the visitor centre. It’s a great location and paired with great food and service, makes for an appropriate pit stop. Their whisky menu is absolutely fantastic.

We booked the restaurant on the reviews and weren't disappointed. The dining room is wonderful and tge view onto the loch stunning. The staff were very polite and engaging even suggesting a beer to try which was great. The food was beautifully presented and extremely tasty (trio of venison was gorgeous) while my wife opted for the cod which she thoroughly enjoyed. My children also enjoyed trying both dishes with my 7 Yr old daughter devouring my venison pie. We are only here for a short trip or we would definitely be booking again, lovely restaurant.

We called in for a coffee before our cruise on the Loch and found excellent cake to take on the cruise. No baristas for the coffee, just a machine, but the cake more than made up for it. We then called back for lunch and the most amazing Cullen Skink. An absolute must if you eat here!

Tardaron una eternidad en traernos la comida y cuando nos quejamos el camarero fue grosero. Hemos hecho dos pedidos consecutivos y nos han traido la comida con 20 minutos de diferencia, mientras servían comensales que llegaron mas tarde.

Absolutely horrid. They claim to have Luxury, Handmade cakes....couldn't have been further from the truth! Honestly, cakes with no taste, completely dried out with oversweetened icing. And don't get me started on the cleanliness of the toilets! Broken taps, smells of urine and urine soaked floors...and NO SOAP! This place used to be great, before they moved upstairs, but no longer....won't be going back there again any time soon....AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

We would absolutely recommend Cobb's to anybody visiting Loch Ness. Stunning view, very friendly, polite and helpful staff. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. All three courses were locally sourced and perfectly portioned. I couldn't have asked for anything more.

We popped in before our boat trip. I had onion back and mango chutney in a toasted nann bread which was delicious. My partner had the salmon and cream cheese brioche which had a cute Nessie imprinted in it. There's a fun model of Nessie nearby to take pictures with and a gift shop downstairs from the cafe.

Staff were super friendly and helpful... and that's an understatement. Food was tasty pub grub with a great selection. We don't often leave reviews but we had such a pleasant experience which was made by the delightful staff. Our evening was topped off with some excellent whiskey advice for non whiskey drinkers by the front of house member. Thank you to the team at Cobbs Restaurant!

Starters were fabulous, We had the smoked beef with rocket and Stilton and Scallops which were lovely. Mains were terrible unfortunately. I had battered Haddock which was anaemic in colour and was very soggy under the surface, another minute or so would have made all the difference to get a crisp golden batter. My wife had the Rump Steak which she ordered medium and came rare (very rare, not medium rare but not blue) unable to eat her steak like that we swapped as I can have my steak rare. I would have thought it would melt in the mouth or at least be tender but it was pretty tough so a bit of an epic fail for two mains which are staples and not the most technically challenging to get right. My wife had the Apple and Berry Crumble with Vanilla Custard for desert and that was delicious so managed to salvage the overall impression to average. Tried the dark ness stout which was really nice and the location of the restaurant is second to none especially when staying at the hotel.

The website made this place look amazing and the trip advisor review was pretty good as well. Just to be clear, this is not a restaurant. This is a cafeteria and not a very good one at that. The menu was dominated by a picture of a beautiful looking burger and I was set on that, until I saw it being delivered to the table next to us. I asked the staff whether the picture was of their burger and they admitted it wasn’t. Seriously? The only picture they have on the menu is of something that they didn’t make. Croque monsieur was pretty terrible with over-processed ham and floury cheese. My wife’s panini was okay and the macaroni cheese seemed to be fresh from the microwave. The ice cream parlour downstairs was a lot better!

Came in here straight off a cruise to Urquhart Castle. A little concerned given the dated exterior of the building but Cobbs is beautifully decorated and being on the first floor affords great views over the Loch. Seems to be a cafe cum restaurant, with a bar too. Great range of lunch options - soup, sandwiches, hot dishes as well as loads of cakes if you just want to stop got a coffee.

As the final stop of our Scotland whisky tour, we wanted a spot at the northern side of Loch Ness (closer to Inverness Airport) to have lunch with a view. This was the only open option due to the time of year and served as a good place to while away a few hours before our flight. The food was ok - closer to a good quality canteen than gastropub - and we had a pleasant afternoon.

Meals and service for evening meal and breakfast were of great quality. The price reflects the quality and the fact there is not many other local places to eat.

Avoid this place . Poorly cooked frozen fish and staff who see you as sn inconvenience. They add a 10% service charge and offer rubbish service.

We all had Sunday lunch (£22), service was good and waitress was friendly. However the Roast dinner was lukewarm, the beef was far from tender and the Yorkshire pud was clearly reheated and very greasy. The bar wasn’t able to provide many of the beers/lagers on tap. Altogether a very disappointing visit. We were here last year and I still remember The Venison I had. Clearly new management/chef. Definitely give it a miss.

No food on offer other than crisps, ice cream and a meagre offering of cake, shocked as we were there for a 1pm show and had travelled over an hour thinking we would be fine for lunch at the theatre. Staff were fine, no hint of getting things done in a timely fashion and not much interaction with customers. Decor is depressing, such a big space makes it cold and echoey. Just no atmosphere whatsoever. Very disappointed and won't be back.
