Without doubt the worst service and food ever!! Total sham of a place, nothing on our plate was edible. Service was unbelievable in a terrible way. Understaffed and managers on the phone instead of helping the servers. Fawlty towers would be more staffed and professional. Please avoid. It's not worth it!!!!! Go the extra mile and travel into the city centre. There is absolutely nothing positive to say about this shambolic place. Please avoid!!! It truly was a breakfast from hell. Money wasted which I hate.

Had a lovely spontaneous breakfast! Ran park run over at Torvean with my 2 year old old daughter and went for our usual post run BF. Decided on Beefeater and had a lovely time. The food is as you’d expect, all you can eat and to a god standard for a buffet cooked and continental. The staff were helpful getting us a high chair and even gave us a carry out box for a few croissants. We shall return!

I haven't actually managed to eat here yet. Twice I've been and come away again. 1st time they were short staffed and couldn't manage to seat us, despite it looking relatively empty. 2nd time we couldn't go in because it was residents only for some reason. Shame because I really like the Beefeater chain. Will leave it a while and maybe try again here sometime in the future.

Poor experience. Friendly waitress but manager was too busy chatting to seat at a table. No atmosphere and when the food came it was VERY disappointing. Portion size was poor and the ‘salad’ was embarrassing - simply lettuce and a couple of bits of tomato. For captive business travellers staying next door it’s just not good enough.

The service and the room are ok but for cr which is food without being bad it tasted like reheated factory dishes, no flavor. The breakfast buffet sucks. No other word, little, not great, when there are no more certain things we don't replace them. The tables remain full of dirty dishes for a long time and the hot buffet was closed at 9:20 a.m. when scheduled until 10:30 a.m. Really disappointing.

This restaurant is attached to the Premier Inn, where I am currently staying for 1 night. I have tried all day to book a table with no joy as it does get busy. Arrived at the hotel was told booking system not working but to reserve a table do this in the restaurant. I went asked the question, and the answer was 9 pm before a table was free. I went to my room and got a shower and headed back down in case there was a table. Same answer. Drove to McDonald's and got fed in less than 20 minutes. This is not the first time I have experienced this, so please, folks avoid. There are better places with more pleasant staff.

Entering a half empty but pleasant Beefeater these days is a psyche/gangster torment best avoided. First you and your party must hover at the ‘you shall not pass’ podium for what seems like an eternity. Staff who look burdened by too many secrets don’t seem to notice you. Just when your nerve is about to expire, you reach level 2. ‘We aren’t accepting drop ins’ you will be advised in a ‘computer says no’ tone from the staff at the register. You immediately regret the glance around at a staff to customer ratio of 2-1 and majority empty tables as your quizzical expression is quickly erased by the icy look of ‘so leave now’ from waiter. Despite your innocence you feel like an informant given another chance by a mob boss… so to diffuse the situation a chirpy ‘we have a reservation’ forces big Tony at register to finally relent and the fact you get a table is never forgiven… you’ve made it to level 3. Is that a good thing? No sense in looking at the menu in advance as you are given in level 4 - a sparse reduced one. You don’t argue. Are the real staff out back bound up? More patrons enter and are turned away. Lucky…run. The food was ok. Not great. Not terrible. You daren’t complain. At level 5. Bill gets paid you make it out. Alive. Was that a speak easy casino out back you glance on the way out? Was definitely a car back firing! You get home pack a bag, change your name and appearance and move to Panama just in case.

Must admit I was a little disappointed, I arrived for the Etape bike ride that runs yearly. On Friday 26th and Saturday 27 for evening meal they were operating reduced menus, come Sunday evening it was back to normal. Given the timing of the weekends event you’d think they would have more staff to cover the extra demand and not reduce what they offer. The service was also slow on the Sunday evening with less servers. All that said the food was really good both breakfast & evening dinner

Visited this place today on a sunny afternoon. It was not too crowded and instantly got the seating. We started our meal with Cocktails. We had Berry Martini and Berry Margarita. Both were prepared nicely and well presented with dried raspberries on top of Berrytini. Berry Margarita comes off very strong at first but I couldn’t stop sipping it after a while. We ordered Calamari and Double Crunch wings for starters. The Calamari was served with spicy mayo and we went for Mango and Peach Habanero dip for our wings. Don’t forget to drizzle the lemon on the calamari, it just elevates it. We enjoyed the freshly prepared starters by mix matching the dips. For mains we decided to go for Mix Grill and Chicken and Rib combo with BBQ sauce. The food was cooked to perfection and especially loved the chargrilled corn on the grill. Reminded me of the corn that I used to savour in India. The chicken was succulent and the ribs were very tender. The smoky flavour of the grill definitely elevated the meat. Chips were very filling for me so I would recommend going for fries so you can have a proper 3 course meal. Quantity was good enough to fill us and hence couldn’t try the desserts. But will surely be back. Good customer service by Daniel.

Probably the richest and most blunt welcome I've ever received. I was staying at the Premier Inn next door and booked their meal deal. Didn't bother staying for dinner in the end. We'd been waiting too long as it was. The staff don't want to know about the customers. Of the three staff I met, not one was polite. I am amazed this place manages to stay open. They don't send to actually want customers.

We were staying a couple of nights at the adjacent Premier Inn, so decided to take advantage of their "meal deal" offer. We arrived at the Loch Ness House at about 7pm on our first evening, only to be greeted with a blunt "have you got a reservation?" Not realising we needed one, we hadn't. The individual concerned (who we assume was the manager) said he might be able to fit us in at 8pm. He had all the charm of a wet dish cloth, and if what I experienced is anything to go by, an intellect to match. The other members of staff with whom we interacted were no better. I asked the person serving at the bar what soft drinks they had. His reply was simply "on there." He looked rather puzzled when I asked where "on there" was. Put simply, those running the place don't care. The place wasn't busy, and nowhere near full, so initially, we waited. While waiting, I decided to check the customer reviews for this fine establishment, and was amused to find that the only positive reviews had been added by the restaurant staff. I knew this because they'd been naive enough to include photos of themselves. Harshit (who gave the place a great review) turned out to be the charm school graduate, doing the meet and greet. Another had been added by a young woman who bore an uncanny resemblance to a waitress. Yet another review praised the person serving on the bar, and though it didn't have a photo of the reviewer, it wasn't hard to work it was a bit of an auto-biography. Having read what we considered to be the more accurate and reliable reviews, we decided not to wait, and took our custom elsewhere. My inclination is to warn people to avoid this place, but in the interests of fairness, don't take my world for it. Go along and see for yourselves.

Where to begin. We had a booking and was left waiting for over 10 minutes before we were shown to our table. As soon as we sat the waitress asked if we were ready to order. We asked for a few more minutes. After 15 minutes she still hadn't come back and we had to go find her to let her know we were ready to order. She then proceeded to see to another 2 tables first before taking our order. Once we were finished our meal we waited for over 30 minutes for her to clean our table and again had to go ask her to clear it and if we can order puddings. She thought we had paid and was waiting for us to leave. When clearing the dishes. she was to busy rushing and threw dirty cutlery over one of our party and didn't even apologise or pick it up. When it came time for the bill she was no where to be seen and we had to find another staff member to get it for us. Apart from having to wait ages to be seated and for service the food was delicious except for my gluten free bun that was rock solid and I could hardly bite through it. Will defiantly need to improve on service and staff mannerism before we go again!!!

On their website they advertise Monday-Friday deals on lunchtime meals. 2 course for £11.95 and 3 course for £13.95. That was the main reason that my family and I went here yesterday. Only to be given a menu that was 'reduced'. When we asked about the lunchtime deals, we were told that they don't honour it until April and that is despite 'loads of guests asking, specifically the folk from the hotel next door'. When we pointed out that surely that is against trading standards, we were told, 'that's what everyone says'. The menu still had the items on that we would have chosen on the deal, but we weren't allowed the deal. Not good, not good at all. We won't be back.

Forget the lavish coloured web menu. Forget the lavish coloured menu displayed outside. Forget the lavish coloured menu you link to from the Premier Inn next door. They are operating a reduced menu you get shown onlu when you sit down, with no explanation. One side of an A4 printed black and white sheet. All you can have is a choice of 4 starters, 8 mains and 4 desserts. This is NOT what we were led to expect! If circumstances mean that a reduced menu is necessary it should be communicated to everyone on booking, outside, on the web, intact everywhere that their normal menu is available. It should NOT be an unpleasant surprise when you sit down. Food was okay. Limited menu definitely was not!

An earlier reviewer likened this Beefeater to the comedy Faulty Towers - they were not wrong. The restaurant is quite literally a lucky dip, our experience? Terrible. We stayed at the attached Premier Inn for several nights - the first night we decided to have a meal in the Beefeater. Myself, my partner and our son. We booked a table and headed down to the host desk to be seated. Ourselves, along with several other couples were left standing waiting for the host to finish chatting to a gentleman at the bar (at this point we were oblivious of the topic of their conversation, however it was going to become apparent to us very shortly). The host arrived and took us to a table, we kindly asked him for a high chair for our son, he obliged and went to get one. We very quickly realised however he was not coming back… he seemed to forget what we had asked and started seating other guests. My partner went on the hunt to get one herself when the host reappeared and offered to get it for us since he had neglected to get it earlier, she replied it was okay and she would manage. This is when the gentleman at the bar spotted we now had a high chair… and lone behold, the conversation he had been having with the host… where the high chairs were! We pointed him in their general direction as the host seemed incapable of doing so. The waitress then came over rather sheepishly and handed us an A4 piece of paper with a small list of items we were allowed to order as they were operating a reduced menu, however the children’s meals were as normal. We both had the grilled BBQ chicken, our son had the mash and sausages. Once the food eventually arrived, the chicken was certainly not raw but was over grilled, and the fries could be likened to McDonald’s fries. I wouldn’t be sure they didn’t come from there in honesty. The house slaw was more like cheap mass produced bucket slaw and the mixed salad was a shameful pile of shredded lettuce leaves. As for our son’s meal, the mash was fine but the sausages were not good at all, more mush than meat! We decided to give them a second chance with dessert. Qu the forgetful host. We asked for a dessert menu at which he agreed to get, he proceeded to walk straight past the desk with the menus and never came back. Thankfully the waitress came back to save the day. A small reprieve was had with the sundaes for dessert - and breakfasts are OK (standard premier inn kinda items). Overall, I would say it is pot luck, largely depends on the staff on that night, having spoken to others at the hotel this seems to have been a long running issue for the past year or so. A shame really as the place is cosmetically very nice! We won’t be back.

'Triple Cooked' chips had first 2 cooks done the day before so were hard as nails and cold. We arrived at the restaurant around 6:50pm to be notified they didn’t have enough kitchen staff and chefs had walked out so they had to cancel our booking. When asked could they not have called sooner, we were told they were working their way through the bookings… 15 minutes before our booking??? We appreciate things change and staff can be unreliable however, we never should’ve been let down so last minute especially at this time of year on NYE. Our new year’s eve was ruined as we then were unable to get a booking anywhere else due to everywhere else being full which is expectable and why we booked in advance. We had to order all our drinks ourselves as there was no table service, the bar man didn’t know how to make the cocktails on the menu. Our starters arrived at 3:40 and our mains at 4:50 (this was after we asked where our mains were as we thought we had been forgotten). The waiter didn’t come back to update us, they finally arrived. We eventually finished our meal at 6pm, no tea / coffee / mince pies. There were tables walking out who had been waiting hours with either just being served their starts or nothing at all. A lot of Christmas family meals ruined by incompetent staff and a lack of leadership. Thankfully we and others received refunds. We are locals and it is sad to see how much this place has gone downhill over recent years. We won’t be back and will share our experience with others to avoid making the same mistake as we did.

I was so impressed when we went for Xmas dinner yesterday. The inverness restaurant was very busy and the staff were run off their feet and so busy. Service was running behind as a few staff members phoned in sick and some customers weren't happy. I felt like the manager and staff did the best they could under the circumstances and they delivered the food hot and to a high standard. Some customers were rude , self entitled and not very understanding of the pressure and hard work the staff were putting in to try and serve everyone under the circumstances. I absolutely love this restaurant and the atmosphere. The food is beautiful too. Thank you for a lovely Xmas dinner as always!

Christmas dinner for 4 booked for Sunday afternoon. Brussels watery. Potatoes watery and hard in middle, stuffing overdone, turkey grainy texture. Carrots must have been frozen - not fresh. Awful Christmas pudding - also the smallest we have ever seen. Such a disappointment No one asked us if we enjoyed our meal. Probably could tell from food left on plates what the answer would be. Would not go back again.

Absolutely avoid at all costs! Shocking service from beginning to end. We arrived around 5pm for a nice family meal to celebrate my daughter's 17th birthday, our bums barely warmed the seats when we were asked what drinks we wanted, felt rushed and then waited 15 minutes for our drinks, placed our food order around 5.20pm again feeling rushed, noticed other guests coming in after us and getting their food before us, asked what was happening and the waiter went to find out and did not return to tell us, I ended up having to go and find out myself and was given no explanation, was told our meal was on route and by 6.15, we had enough, the manager did not even apologise, blamed it on a chef who did not know the new menu, we ordered 2 steaks, 1 bbq chicken and prawn skewers, not rocket science, we were given our food to take out no charge, food was awful. Also to add insult to injury, they take on teens to do a trial shift, don't pay them for their time and don't offer them a job after! Shocking disgraceful place!!!

I had the rib eyes steak with peppercorn sauce and triple cooked chips on the side with mushroom and tomatoes. Over all a nice complete meal, the steak was cooked to medium rare as per my liking just can get quite busy on the weekends and may increase the wait time on your food. Also it's preferable to reserve tables in advance.

Truly awful. Easily the worst premier inn restaurant I've ever visited. Staff were clearly incapable of running a restaurant of the size needed for such a large hotel and would likely manage better with a small café of 4 tables. Went to the restaurant at 18:30 and we were told there were "no tables" and the next one was available at 20:00. There were about 100 empty tables it looked like, certainly operating at below 25% capacity. Went to get a drink at the bar for the wait, 10 minutes to be served. During this time it was interesting to see most of the staff talking to each other, whilst other customers stood waiting to be seated and others waiting to have their orders taken. Can't say I was surprised to have to wait 45 minutes for our microwaved food after being seated. A truly awful experience. Sadly we had already prepaid for dinner else we would have left.

Table booked for 6pm. The high light of the evening was sitting down. Luckily I had ordered a drink before, so I wasn't waiting. To say the service was slow would actually be an understatement. When we finally got our food it was..let's say OK. We then had to wait for the table to be cleared, finally someone came over with the sweet menu, and after another long wait, they came back over to take the order. Then finally we said that we had to go as we had been in there for over 2hrs. So the bill came over for over £100! We then explained to the waiter that we hadn't had our sweets, so off he went and came back with a revised bill of £74. For what we had it wasn't nothing special. Not sure what's happening but needs to have a rethink in the organisation some where.

Group of 3. Everything was going so well until I realised my chicken tikka burger easnt cooked properly 😡😡😡 Went again on Saturday 4 years after my last disaster and nothing had changed. Only about 5 tables eating and still waited ages to be seated. Starters were weak and the breaded mushrooms came with nothing else on the plate, no salad or anything 🤷‍♂️. Food took ages, I finished my pint before the starter, got another and they didn't take the empty glasses off the table... Son had the fillet. He was disappointed. I had the mix of steaks dish and not convinced I got a fillet. X2 sirloin more likely. My wife had a very overcooked fish. Both pints I ordered came with what looked like a big mouthful missing, if I wasn't waiting so long I'd have got them to top it up. When paying the waitress asked how was my meal (not whilst eating they asked this question) I said it wad very underwhelming and she went to get the manager. He asked no questions and took my overpriced payment. Rubbish management, shocking. Never again

Service wasn't great. Young lad, on his 1st day, wasn't given much support when he made a mistake. When I questioned why something wasn't on the bill, I was met with a rude and snappy answer from a member of staff. They were removed however, it still doesn't make up for the fact 7 people at the table weren't able to eat at the same time. Also, £4.99 for 2 prawns is a bit steep. Two mixed grills came with different items on the plate.

Food wasn’t too bad. Though the bill was double what the menu said because they said it was a bank holiday. (Even though it wasn’t a bank holiday- at least not in Scotland, ) but they’re trying to say that foreign bank holidays count as the head office is south of the border. Dispute is still pending on this and might well end up in court. .. a Scottish court. 😀. Service was ridiculously slow as others said. To a point that we ran over the 3 hours free parking. And now the cheeky sods are trying to bill us an extra £81. For extra parking. Seems like a money making scam. Fortunately we know a lawyer friend who is preparing a small claim for us against them. Best advice is steer clear. There are plenty of legitimate restaurants in the city centre.

Had a very tasty burger, and swapped the regular fries for chunky chips. Burger was nicely cooked, and went well with the coleslaw and chips. Served by Nelis, who we’ve met before. She’s always very friendly and super efficient. She processed 2 separate voucher codes which we had which made a great impact to our final bill. Overall, we’d say that the burger was of a much better standard than the steaks.

Go to Wetherspoon's instead... Popped in here for lunch, but really wish we had gone elsewhere. We had a chicken burger, and a pulled pork and BBQ beef burger, and both of them weren't great. The chicken burger tasted cheap and heavily processed, and the beef burger was the same. It was also pretty dry and tough, and was missing the BBQ sauce. Both of us actually left a good chunk of our burgers and just ate the chips instead. We spent £56 pound, and the bill came with a service charge included, which felt like a bit of a slap in the face considering the food was bad and the service was non-existent apart from "here's your table, here's your food, here's your bill". I'd honestly recommend going to Wetherspoon's instead of this place if you want food. The food is about the same quality, but half the price. And the service was actually better in Wetherspoon's as well!
