I really enjoy visiting Caffe Caffe (I've been visiting since waaay back when it was called La Speranza, then Cafe Al Fresco!) I always like to have the Steak Pie & Chips when I visit here, as the one from Caffe Caffe is always really nice. The chips are always well-cooked, nice and crunchy, and the beef in the steak pie is so nice and tender. The pastry is very nice too. Always want to give a shout-out to the serving staff, especially the nice ladies who serve you behind the counter. All of them are very kind and friendly, a credit to the cafe. Caffe Caffe is easily one of the best eateries in Glenrothes.

Been here a couple of times now and it never disappoints. Friendly service. The cafe is always busy. The soup is lovely and excellent value. The cheesecake is fantastic and it is cheaper taking away. Sadly the dog ate most of the second slice. He enjoyed it too. Will be back soon to try the afternoon tea and or the afternoon fish chips deal. Keep up the good work.

Alfresco, or Caffe Caffe as it is now called, I have to say that during this terrible time of covid, this restaurant has gone above and beyond in the cleanliness and social distancing for this type of establishment. Registering people as and when they visit and only allowing you in after the table has been cleaned properly and have perspex screening between tables, staff are friendly and it's a pleasure to go into because you feel safe, well done management and staff.

Having just returned home from Al Fresco after another superb meal I have to remind people how great this establishment truly is! We dine there pretty regular throughout the year and would barely miss a week without at least one visit for coffee and fresh baking. Allan and his superb team are polite, respectful and all work terribly hard to satisfy customers high expectations. Outside of the true Anstruther fish and chips shop there isn't an establishment in the Kingdom that gets anywhere close to the amazing fish and chips and the baking is second to none. Also on the baking side it is all baked on the premises daily and unlike many garden centres, it is not a false claim of being baked daily as opposed to the many who still buy scones etc from supermarkets and market as "fresh baked" which may be true but very few are baked on the actual premises. To add to the outstanding home baking the coffee may well be the best on offer in the whole of Scotland and it is superb. Yes prices creep up over the years but a nice coffee and scone/piece of cake here is easily 40% less expensive than any comparable business and the staff team are outstanding. Thanks to one and all

The queuing/ordering system is unclear. There are menu boards featuring drinks and specials but you have to search along the counter for an actual menu. I was surprised at the pricing considering the lack of atmosphere. It looks like a pretty basic cafe. A staff member moved past me and began serving the next person in the queue without asking if I was being served. Another staff member approached me and asked me to move past other customers to give my order at the til. It was all a bit chaotic and a bit stressful. We didn't have to wait too long on the food despite it being busy.My panini was nice but I think I may have been charged extra for salad. I ordered a plain cheeseburger for my niece. I was asked if I wanted onions and said no but it was served with onions. She didn't finish it as she said it wasn't very good. £3.50 for a burger on a morning roll. I could've gotten a kids meal elsewhere for about the same or little more than that.My coffee was almost undrinkable. Even sugar couldn't save it. It had a strange brown froth which I have never seen on a latte before. Truly disgusting and it gave me a sore stomach for several hours afterwards.I recall my aunt taking me here as a child and being unimpressed even then with my 'milkshake' which was a tiny plastic cup of flavoured milk. It doesn't seem to have improved much. I only chose it as I was attending a show at the venue next to it. I'm genuinely baffled at how well patronised this place is considering the other options in the shopping centre. I wont be back.

I ordered Scrambled Egg on a plate as I am not currently eating bread and a cup of tea. This cost me around £7-8 and the Scrambled Egg was completely tasteless. I applied my own salt and pepper and it was still not adding any taste to the food. The food was rubber like and had hard parts in it. The “pot” of tea I got given was ridiculous for the price - I got one full cup and a dribble for the next cup. Over-priced for sure!

First of all the logistics with the ordering and paying is not great. It is not clear where to order and where to pay and which queues are which. I ordered a baked potato with cheese and asked what came with it, was told nothing. This is shocking considering the baked potato was nearly £5!!!! I fail to see how you could justify asking that price for a potato and cheese?? I understand profit margins but that is ridiculous. ( There wasn't even butter on the potato and the cheese was cheap and rubbery). Anyhoo I ordered a side of salad and side of coleslaw to go with this and these were both of very poor quality! The slaw was nippy and sour and the salad didn't even have a single piece of onion or cucumber in it, it was lettuce covered in sweetcorn for some bizarre reason. Sweetcorn? really?. Apparently the reason no sides are being served with the food any longer is because of the food waste the cafe had "masses of food waste" (Direct staff quote). I can answer your food waste problem easily..... Get better quality produce for the price you are charging! In total I paid a shocking £7 for a baked potato (With side salad - which should actually come with it) and bottle of water. £7 - You do realise that Fife is one of the poorest places in scotland? My Minimum wage is £7.70 - I had to work one whole hour to afford a potato, cheese and water! Really? Please have a look at things this is not right the produce is poor (hence the masses of food waste) and the prices too high!

My wife and I visit the cafe fairly regularly throughout the year as it remains, in my opinion, the best in Fife for it's coffee and all the amazing fresh baked cakes/pastries/doughrings. Recently I had the immense pleasure of having an afternoon "fish tea" and I felt compelled to remind anyone who is unaware of how great Al Fresco truly is. For under £8 you enjoy fish in batter that is so fresh that you feel it has just been caught and done in an amazing crispy batter. Fresh chips and salad top it off and amazingly you also get your choice of any of the cakes left and a cup of tea! Absolutely amazing and as tasty as you will find anywhere but I defy anyone to price match this awesome deal anywhere else in the UK, it simply is not available anywhere else for the price and the taste is sublime. Alan Lambert has more than taken on the mantle from his dad Bob, he is exceeding the previous high standards of over forty years service to the people of Glenrothes and visitors from further afield. Brilliant cafe with some of the nicest staff that you will find anywhere in Fife. Thanks!!!

Decided to treat myself to a panini during a short lunch break - wish I hadn’t! At just over £5 for a cheese & ham panini and a small soft drink, I expected a wee bit of salad or a few crisps on the side. What I got was an oil slick when I bit into the offending item. What is on the plate in the photo is a dribble compared to the grease which run down my hand!! After two bites, I finished the drink and left. Staff very nice and fairly good menu but the price for my stovies was a bit steep. £3.70 for a small bowl which to be honest would not fill anyone with a hearty appetite. A slice of bread and butter would have been very welcome but costs extra . I do appreciate that the rent in this shopping centre is high so the owners have to reflect this in the price but at least offer a decent sized portion. I went in here with my boyfriend and at first I thought it would be a nice experience, there was a nice smell in the resturant so I was hopeful, once I saw the food I was served however that hope died, it looked like a school dinner, only it looked like it had been cooked, cooled off and re-cooked twice, I had ordered sausages, chips and beans and my boyfriend ordered a couple of their burgers, we both had some cola to go along with it, in total they charged us £16 for this (I feel I should mention that the cost of our meal in a cafe in England would have been closer to £6 than £16 so I have no idea where they got that price from) having said that my actual food was ok, it wasn't anything I would write home about but it was edible, I've given them a 1 out of 5 because my boyfriend's burgers were PURPLE in the middle, the cola was flat and we attended on Sunday so it was probably re-heated leftovers that they served us, in short I would AVOID THIS PLACE >:(

After doing some shopping on Saturday 10 Jan, we stopped in this cafe for lunch, food looked good, and decision made, bowl of soup, bowl of stovies, tea & coffee, simple. While waiting at the counter, I noticed one of the male assistants serving chips with a tea towel over his arm, some of the towel was in among the chips, he walked away and when I looked again the same tea towel was half in the chips and half hanging over the serving counter. When our food arrived, the butter portions were so hard that they had to be put onto the tea pot for a few minutes to soften off. I don't know what the problem with the stovies but I had to peel a crust off the top before I was able to eat them. Couldn't though, no taste even after adding far more salt than I would have normally. I left more than half the portion of stovies, only good thing was the tea, my aunt said that the soup was good. It is very good value for money and fresh made food. Very child friendly. Some of the tables and chairs have seen better days but apart from that lovely place.

For a quick coffee and a home made cake then this is the place for you! If you have been out the country for a while and you want to get an instant feeling of being at home then try the breakfast which is excellent. At £5 it is fairly going up in price over the last 18 mtgs but then all good things are worth that little bit extra. Superb

Although located slap bang in the middle of the Kingdom Shopping Centre it can be forgiven for not being exactly Al Fresco but more Open Plan.Having said that the food was delicious, the staff helpful, knowledgable and very friendly. Not only did they know what Gluten Free food was but offered alternative substitution menu items, their own Gluten Free Bread and made us aware that all Gluten Free food is cooked separately and to order so their may be a bit of a wait. Only ask for a large coffee if your are really thirsty or not in a hurry because it's HUGE.Great place for breakfast before a spot of Retail Therapy...give it a try, you'll not be disappointed....

Good range of baked goods and deent lunch menu. Sometomes it can be a bit overcrowded and disorganised at lunchtimes but a good value for money venue.

I've been going to this place for years. The homebaking has always been brilliant. Good breakfasts, paninis and lovely main meals. Since diagnosed coeliac, I've discovered they do a good range of gluten free homebaking, quiche and sandwiches (on homebaked bread). Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Prices are good. Although inside a shopping centre, it's all open plan under a glass roof and gives a nice 'outdoor' feeling.

Dear God. Didn’t think this place could get worse but it has. Not enough staff, tables not cleared, no water in hot water urn, no clean mugs, no milk in coffee machine and the one poor staff member totally run off his feet trying to cope eventually collapsed with the stress of it all. Ambulance was called so I do hope the poor man is okay. Absolutely appalling that Morrisons management have let this go on for so long! Staff your cafe or shut it down!! We sat for an hour and a half and dud not receive our order especially after staff member collapsed. Werent offered a refund as till couldn’t be opened???? But were given a had written credit note for a free meal next time. After a second disastrous visit to this cafe I’m not sure I would return again!! Management get it sorted!!!

Selección de comida justa, pequeñas raciones, no había mucha variedad para una comida ligera y bastante caro. Adjunto buena tienda de regalos

We had a bad experience at this place. We went around 10 pm for drinks as we were told this place is opened till 11pm. But the staff and shift supervisor told us they are closed as there was no guests and they were not professional to welcome us. It was very obvious from their voice and look that they didn't want to serve us. Me, my brother and our teen children were visiting Scotland and it was very harsh to see such unprofessional and weird customer service. It was also obvious from their approach that they were mean to our color of skin and not happy to see color customers. Even though we talk about diversity but still people are not mentally and emotionally accept the diversity.

Avoid until the manager/owner recognises that her behaviour is incompatible with hospitality, although I suspect she's not the type of person to take feedback. I wish I'd read the reviews before I spent my money there. I didn't enjoy seeing an elderly fellow customer shouted at about a coffee, or other customers being told off about where they sat, and I didn't enjoy seeing a staff member being told off either. I also didn't enjoy hearing plates crashing about, if you have an open kitchen you might be aware of this. The food was nice enough but overpriced and the menu is very limited. I'm afraid there are no reasons to visit the cafe that are greater than the reasons not to visit. I'll be back to Culross but not to Biscuit.
