Fantastic Hotel, rooms are stunning and very clean the bed was big and comfy and even though its on a main road it's very quiet, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was lovely with plenty to choose from the only thing was the bathroom was quite small but that couldn't be helped and would definitely not stop me staying there again.

A very good find thanks to recommendations from Nairn Rocks. Very friendly staff, good value for money. I had the Ultimate burger. The burger was homemade, succulent and well presented. Due to COVID the barman “Robbie” was on his own running the bar and waiting on tables which he did with a smile on his face throughout. Well worth a visit for good home cooked food at very reasonable prices. Thanks everyone 😎👍😊

My wife and I ate here for dinner recently and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The atmosphere in the premises is good provided you are down to earth people. I had the mug of prawns followed by the £10 steak advertised on the outside of the premises and my wife had spiced chicken wings followed by a chicken and rice dish. We also had a couple of drinks. Service was good. We both thought this was the best meal we had during our 5 night stay in the area and would certainly return if in the area.

We booked a large group meal, as had couple of friends staying at Hotel. The majority of the meals (steaks) were excellent for budget prices. My scampi and chips were okay but scampi was quite hard and salad wasn’t great but totally acceptable for the good value prices. Drinks were cheap, not a huge selection and pretty basic but we all had a good enjoyable evening and atmosphere was good and we returned recently just for drinks over festive season

Fancied going out to get a very late lunch in the town but most places we'd normally go to were either closed or going to close. Understandable for some of the places that close around 4 anyway, but the bigger restaurants missed a trick on a day like today (Easter Monday and a really warm day) We were wracking our brains about where to go and we settled on the Albert Inn. Sometimes we just forget it's there or say we'll go in past at some point but never do. My brothers always say good things about it so we thought we'd give it a go. We were a wee bit too early for food, had about a half hour wait before they started serving food, but we were happy enough to sit outside and have drinks in the sun. I'm actually really surprised at how reasonable they are with their prices. Not an issue at all but there was a minimum £10 spend on using a card and we didn't have any cash on us, but it wasn't a bother, we just got snacks and extra drinks to take us over the limit.Despite being by the main road, it's not a bad spot to sit out in, it's well kept and easy enough to zone out from the folk glowering from the main road. We weren't bothered by the seagulls either, surprisingly. When it came to 5 we got our menus and couldn't believe how well priced the food was compared to other places in town. I ordered the rib eye steak, my boyfriend had the super stack and my mum the veggie burger (plenty vegetarian options available) It was hard to choose between the steak and the burgers! There wasn't a long wait between ordering and our food coming out which was handy because we were all pretty famished. The food looked and smelled great and you get big portions for good prices. We really enjoyed our food, the peppercorn sauce in particular. I don't know if it's homemade but it's really good! Normally I'm not a fan of onion rings either, they're easy to get wrong, but theirs were spot on.I feel bad for overlooking it in the past, but I'll definitely be back again.

We sat down, and ordered at the bar. Food was nice and good selection on menu. Female waitress very friendly. Four of us dined here midweek, meals are served in the bar area, where there was a mix of eaters and drinkers. Menu is varied, typical pub fayre with some Scottish twists and reasonably priced. The starters were massive eg a full sized backed camembert with 8 slices of tasted baguette, huge plate of nachos to share. The steaks were perfectly cooked and presented (we had them with whisky cream and port & stilton sauces), and the haggis in filo pastry, served on mustard mash with veg was so tasty, but I was beaten by the quantity. Next time we'll probably skip the starters, to leave more space for the mains.

During a recent holiday to Nairn we visited here three times for evening meals. Cosy atmosphere, booking sometimes recommended. Food - First visit I had the Haggis parcel, excellent example of the dish, hubby was intrigued by their £10 steak offer which is available every day, a choice of cuts he opted for the Rib-eye (although skeptical at a tenner), a quality piece of steak arrived, cooked exactly as he'd ordered and full of flavour, huge handmade onion rings, handcut chips and all the trimmings - excellent value for good quality ingredients!Second visit - we both opted for the Haddock risotto £9.95. This was a large portion of perfectly cooked arborio, seasoned beautifully and genorous flakes of the fish, again excellent value.Third visit - Hubby had the Cod, chips and mushy peas, once again quality piece of fish, very enjoyable. I had the hunters chicken, another excellent example. All meals were presented beautifully, I congratulate the kitchen staff but the experience was made all the better by the front of house/barmaid Laura, she works so hard to provide you with a friendly and professional service, a total asset to The Albert in my opinion and certainly appeared to make everyone's visit pleasurable.A very popular place with locals and tourists alike, well done, keep doing what you're doing.

We were staying at a nearby hotel that offered a more expensive menu without Italian options so chose to dine at the Albert Inn (nearby and looked pleasing to the eye from the exterior). We were warmly welcomed (without reservations on a weekday), seated immediately, and offered something to drink. We enjoyed some wine while our young daughter who was travelling with us enjoyed some bread and apple juice. The meal itself was delicious, the staff were attentive, and the ambience in the conservatory was very relaxing. My husband enjoyed the veal scallopine and I selected the chicken parm. They also made a special pasta bolognese for our daughter (not on the menu, but offered anything at all for her). We were really impressed with the quality of the food and the overall experience. I cannot agree with thE comments of thE previous reviewer. We ate here today (Sunday afternoon). As pub grub goes this really was not too bad. The service was very good ( we were watching the football on TV and the barmaid came and sorted our drinks out at the table on tab) I had the chicken curry which was really nice. My daughter had a nicely cooked steak. Always a good marker of pub grub is the chips and these were really good homemade ones. I would recommend this place.

Very disappointed with this restaurant. Had planned to go there for a while - but wish we hadn't bothered.Half the menu was not available as they were out of stock and the service was incredibly slow...clearly understaffed or just unprepared for being busy with tourists. When the meals did arrive they were lukewarm (at best).I've very little positive to say about the Albert Inn and unfortunately this restaurant becomes the first we've had to give a 'thumbs down' to!Wouldn't recommend but maybe caught them on a bad day....

Avoid this place . Poorly cooked frozen fish and staff who see you as sn inconvenience. They add a 10% service charge and offer rubbish service.

No food on offer other than crisps, ice cream and a meagre offering of cake, shocked as we were there for a 1pm show and had travelled over an hour thinking we would be fine for lunch at the theatre. Staff were fine, no hint of getting things done in a timely fashion and not much interaction with customers. Decor is depressing, such a big space makes it cold and echoey. Just no atmosphere whatsoever. Very disappointed and won't be back.

We stayed at this Inn/Hotel at the beginning of November, returning home we received an email asking us to review our stay. This we did by email, however, we did not receive a reply nor did we receive a reply to our follow up copy email, which I now type below. "Many thanks for your email, usually we send a report good or bad to Tripadvisor, as you have asked for feedback I am happy to share our thoughts with you initially. I have an email from you confirming our reservation from the 4th to the 8th November, 2024 in a Garden Room. This was because we have a dog and thought this would be an easier option should she need to go outside. When we arrived we had NOT been booked into a Garden Room for our five nights, as per your confirmation. We were offered a garden room for 3 nights and two other nights elsewhere within the hotel. I really did not feel changing rooms, packing and unpacking for two nights was a good idea, so we opted to stay again in Room 111 for the five night stay. I am sure you will agree, this was not a good start to our holiday. I spoke to another couple who had also booked a garden room only to find they too had been misallocated a room and these long established customers were very upset and vowed not to return next year for their 8th year. I feel it necessary to draw to your attention the lack of servicing for Room 111. Each day our duvet was "just turned over at the top", the bottom sheet was not straightened and the pillows were as we had arisen, not even straightened and aligned. The cleanliness in the bathroom left much to be desired. As I am sure you are aware there is no toilet brush next to the lavatory. The toilet was not cleaned throughout our stay and the bowl after five nights was turning a light shade of brown, however, diligent attention was paid to folding and making the spare toilet roll and the one for use look pretty. I would have preferred a clean toilet. This takes me on to the bath. On arrival there was a single long dark hair in the bath, as we did not use the bath and both have grey hair, this was still there when we left!! The shower doors require a thorough clean and polish, there is black mould on the wall and around the base of the shower. During our stay this was NOT cleaned at all. Mould and Mildew spray with a toothbrush would solve this problem. Likewise the wash hand basin was neglected. No dusting or vacuuming was carried out in the room for the duration of our stay. For your information I left a piece of cotton and a clean tissue on the floor and they were not picked up. When we had dinner in the bar area dogs were quite welcome. However, in the morning we did feel rather like second class citizens as we were with other dog owners required to use the alternative dining room, which was uninviting and a long way from the self-service area in the breakfast room. On two days for breakfast we were along with four other owners with dogs, allowed to use the breakfast room. No explanation was given for the flexible rule. To end on a good note, the staff were pleasant and helpful, always willing to assist in anyway they could. It is with interest I await your response. " On our next trip to Scotland we shall stay elsewhere.
