Great place for lunch, food was a bit bland but that seems to be the norm wherever you go as chefs are no longer adding seasoning. I added my own and enjoyed the experience, this place is also dog friendly.

A place doesn't have to be silver service. It just needs to have really nice staff, really good food and a great atmosphere. Tonight, the Beefy had the lot.

One of the best Wetherspoons outlets I have visited. Even although I have only visited a handful of times not being from Edinburgh but Glasgow.... We always visit when through for the day or going to the theatre. A pub soaked in history (as they all are) but the staff are tremendous and although service industry is tedious at best they all seem to enjoy it and make it worth their own while and for the customers too. Brilliantly placed within Leith walk and the shopping centre and more recently a tram stop next door. The food is always 10/10 and the drinks are great too.... With some of the best prices around. Such a shame this place closes it's doors for the last time on Sunday 3rd of November.... Gone but not forgotten, never forgotten! 👍

Visited this lace recently a total shambles of a weather spoons untidy dirty tables. Service is shocking as when you ask for the table to be cleaned it's like it's a crime to ask and the food is horrendous. Weatherspoons if they have an ounce of decency left in them they will pull out this place absolute joke.

Always great service and food. Good vegetarian options too. The atmosphere is lovely, and nothing is too much trouble regarding any special requests.

No idea if the 1 star reviewers actually ate here, but I doubt it. I've been here probably 6-7 times since it opened in 1995, and the fish and chips have always been fantastic. I haven't been able to find a better one yet. Here the fish has not been sitting in the warming window for hours but is only fried when ordered. However, if you can't or don't want to eat while standing because it's too slow, you shouldn't come here. And be careful of the seagulls!

Possibly the worst hotel I ever stayed in. No breakfast! No dinner! (Chef refused to feed us (13 of us. No room service the entire time we were there. June 2nd to 5th 2024. Bar closed nearly every night. Their telly was on but no one in!! Fortunately bars and restaurants nearby were open for business. Scott’s was fantastic. The is was a week before The Open. Utter shambles.

Placed a delivery order and waited and waited and waited. i had to call them back twice. They still did not deliver. Ended up calling and cancelled the order. The idiot that answered the phone just kept lying to me, saying it's on its way . One brain cell must of been overwhelmed. If you want a delivery, make sure the person who answers the phone is called max
