Went for a birthday dinner and my meal was awful. The rest of the meals were fine. However the prawn cocktail I do not recommend. The person next to me ordered this and it looked lovely. So I decided to order this with a side portion of fries. What I recieved was a disgrace!. It looked nothing like the one the person at the other table had. They had a large quantity of prawn cocktail in a beautiful red large bowl presented well. Mines was a very poor portion in a tiny soup bowl! Lucky if I had 4 leafs of lettuce with what looked like scrambled egg, as the prawns were so small. I will not be going back as I have emailed them twice in regards to this and not had Any reply. I did complain at the time also.

We love Palominos and dine here often. One of my favourite dishes is the lasagne unfortunately it’s not nearly as good as it used to be. Think there must be a new chef. It’s now served in metal dishes and it’s just not the same. Such a shame as it was delicious before the change. Disappointed with the change.

My wife and I visited for the first time after it opening due to COVID, the setting and everything about the place is 5 star except the service now .. everything seemed ok we were shown to a table and drinks order taken etc then after that we became invisible. This was not due to the lack of staff as there were plenty staff but they seemed more intent on a catch-up? Our order arrived without the chips ( still waiting) and waitress must have got lost looking for black pepper 😔and that’s the last we had anybody at our table until Iapproached the bar for My bill. The barman brought the Bill and again he disappeared and so it went on... We spoke to the duty manager and she said she would look into , so we have to take her word on this🤔 Hopefully it is just new staff they have in and not yet fully trained

We go here quite regular and the food is fantastic bit pricey if not on a deal but fab nom the less. Service is good and the cakes are amazing. The only down side which caused a 4 rather than a five, the restaurant is very dark inside which I don’t like would be better if blinds were up and u got the light in from the arena,

Easy for us to nip up for dinner on an impulse, they can always squeeze us in about 6pm. The staff are well selected and trained, everything is too class and they even had some great German beer the last time. Portions are very generous and the quality of food has always been good with the menu changing every now and then. A great asset to the Bishopton area.

My wife and friend dropped in here and enjoyed drinks, steak pie and desert, the food although a tas pricey was good and the service excellent which was a massive uplift on a recent gala event we had here where the buffet at over £1000 was pitiful, the service shockingly bad and the night comprised by inefficient staff, to be fair we did complain, the hotel acknowledged the standard was poor and offered us an overnight stay in a lodge as compen. The ugly was the weather it was pouring down but the centre was lit up in the evening and looked great

Couldn't wait to eat my Ploughmans sandwich on sourdough bread. The description was certainly tempting. I was expecting way too much! The ham was the thinnest slice (square), with the tiniest amount of grated cheese I've ever seen. A scraping of honey mustard which sadly I couldn't taste. The bread, pre cut ,and you know the way bread is when left out and not covered, or possibly made up and not picked up quickly enough by the server? The little garnish was nice with crisps on the side.Very, very disappointing indeed. Nearly £7 absolutely not worth it. Come on guys you can do much better!

Not only does this restaurant have top class food but it also has a great back drop in the form of horse riding in the main arena. This has to be one of the best valued restaurants in the Inverclyde/ South West of Glasgow area where we paid £85 for four, 1 salmon pasta, 1 king prawns linguini, 2 seafood combos with scallops king prawns etc, 1 rum and coke 2 large red wines and a pint of lager. When you consider that we took our Australian visitors to the Taj Mahal in Gourock a few days earlier which for more or less the same price proved to be a total embarresment but thankfully the Equestrian center more than made up for it.

Dined at Palomino's while staying overnight at the adjacent Ingliston hotel.Meal was great, in fact my penne had possibly the best pasta sauce I have tasted for a very long time. Live music too, a guy with a guitar who played and sang a nice eclectic range of songs (though without any patter at all by way of introducing them).Highlight was being able to watch through the picture windows into the arena where riders were practising for a showjumping competition the following day.But a huge minus was that for the whole evening several video screens in the restaurant and bar were showing interminable wedding promo videos (or rather the one video over and over and over again). No, I don't want to get married at Ingliston and even if I did, a couple of viewings would have given me everything I needed. I really can't understand what the endless repetition was intended to achieve, but if I'd beeñ staying for a second night I'd definitely have found somewhere else to eat.A real shame given that the food was so good (great Italian ice-cream, too) and the equestrian entertainment a bonus.

Visited Palamino's restaurant for a large family gathering of ~20 people @ 7.30pm. The restaurant was fairly quiet and the table location was private which was awesome. Maybe Palamino's is not set up to handle large groups, but many of the people in the group were served independently, so some people were finishing main courses as others were served. There was a single waiter for the group with someone else serving drinks from time to time. As this was a memorable event, the staff were more than accommodating when asked. Even took pictures outside of the group! The location is great and the venue was also awesome, but felt like the food was just mediocre (including the carvery)..Definitely expect much more from a place averaging over £20 per person, and the pomp and circumstance of the location etc.

We went here for a Sunday lunch three of us got the carvery between us we got the turkey which was ok. The ham was ok if a little salty the veg was ok at best some of the veg was either of the frozen variety or was under the heated lamps to long but the thing that really annoyed us was two of us ordered Diet Coke and specifically requested cans as we hate the syrupy rubbishy from the gun when the arrived in a glass we asked the waitress the one with short blond cropped hair if these were draught she assured us they weren't as soon as we tasted them we sent them back. To make matters worse we ordered a second round the same thing happened with the same waitress she said she saw them being poured what she did not know I also saw them being poured from the gun she was blatantly lied not very assuring the one in our party who got the club sandwich picked wisely as that was the best of the four of us as for the cutlery we had to saw through the meat as the knifes could do with sharpening

Visited here recently on a busy Sunday afternoon, but we were fortunate enough to get a table. Traditional food, Lasagne, pasta, pizza, steak pie so nothing outstanding and vastly overpriced. The service, with the exception of being brought the wrong drinks, (just don't think the waiter paid any attention) and white wine that wasn't cold was good but it kind of gave the impression that they didn't really want you hanging about once you had finished your meal - one of the managers was even walking about looking at tables to see who was waiting to be pay and then pointing to the staff to get to the table. The food was fine, nothing really to write home about. I visited this place when it first opened a few years ago and nothing has really changed about it except for the huge increase in prices, especially the starters. I would think that this is due mainly to the popularity of the Equestrian side of things

I have had mixed experiences here. My first lesson was great loved it and couldnt rate it high enough. The 2nd lesson we got 10minutes worth of lessons when we paid for 30mins. My friend was given a pony (she is 5'11) which kept bucking as it was getting a fright from the rain. The instructor gave her in trouble for being scared. She asked for another horse which took 10 -15mins to arrive. We asked for a partial refund and we were told - some things are out with our control- so we wasted £66 on half an hour. Would not go back and would not recommend to anyone, unless you want to be ripped off and put in a scary situation.

I stayed at the adjacent country club hotel and dined here. I wish I hadn't. The starter I ordered was Italian bread with balsamic and olive oil dips. What arrived was a day old slices of bread bought from a supermarket with two small pots of balsamic and olive oil, having to pour these on to my plate as the pots were so small. For main course I had Linguine Bolognese which was okay. The small sparkling water which I ordered never arrived unfortunately. I stayed on a Tuesday night which wasn't particularly busy so don't see the reason for the poor experience. Shame as the location and ambience are spot on.

When we were seated we weren't asked for a drinks order, to us this wasn't a big deal as you like to get settled, but the person we later asked for drinks wanted a description of the original server.......Meal was lovely and everything was served at the correct temperature, drinks were as ordered apart from a Calypso coffee having Cointreau rather than Tia Maria. I Love this place! We took our Papa (Grandad) here for his 80th Birthday dinner before his surprise party at a different location. As a party of 9 we were a party of varying ages and varying tastes as well as attention spans! We were sat by the windows that look onto the equestrian arena which gave those of the short attention spans, something to watch, as well as being enjoyed by others at the table. As we had somewhere else to be later in the evening, the table we were sat at had been decorated for us, service was swift and we were all served together. The food was varied and delicious, although I could have had my Haggis Fritters as a main, they were that big!The cake was brought out to the table to an unsuspecting Papa and all the waiting staff gathered round to sing Happy Birthday. Visited for Saturday lunch - staff were very attentive on arrival and we got a table for two without reserving in advance. The restaurant (Palominos) was quite busy, however we ordered minestrone soup to start as we are both vegetarian - unfortunately one of us was served a beef broth - this was replaced with the correct order however with a minimal apology only. The accompanying sandwich was rather uninspiring - grated cheese in brown bread; would have expected a better standard of presentation from such a nice place. Overall, a lot of staff on duty, however this did not ensure accuracy or attention to detail and no response from management about not adhering to dietary requirements which were declared when ordering.

I was attending an engagement party and all the rooms here were booked so I had to book a nearby hotel and travel there by taxi. The place is nice, staff appeared to be a bit sparse on the ground but helpful. Decided to leave and asked the staff to call a taxi for us. Now bear in mind, this place is set in its own grounds and a car or taxi is vital for accessing it. I was REALLY surprised to find they have no arrangements in place with local companies to prioritise calls from the centre. Now this is a big place with lots of customers - there was a wedding at the same time and the normal restaurant / bar.We managed to get a number for a local company and ordered one. 2 hours (yes 2 hours) later we managed to get one leaving significant number of people still waiting for theirs. Could the staff do anything - no, not on the night. Apparently they have been unable to negotiate anything. Not a good state of affairs - there is an issue here and the centre needs to address it. I will not be going back to this location and I would strongly recommend that it be avoided until they resolve it. Pity, could be a great place.

Stayed at the new hotel on Saturday night. Room was spotless, very modern with a super comfy bed. My husband and I booked in for massages which were heavenly! We had both lunch and dinner at Palominos and the food and service was exceptional. We will definitely be returning.... Special thanks to our lovely receptionist at the hotel who was really welcoming. :)

Have visited several times for business lunches most recently the week before Christmas. An impressive set up and the restaurant has a nice setting and atmosphere. The menu offers a wide choice of "pub grub" and the quality is ok but unexciting. However the service has been progressively deteriorating over recent visits and on the last visit was dreadful, we only ordered main courses but waited over an hour for our food to turn up, with dry glasses. I would be reluctant to return.

My family have been regular visitors to Ingliston since it opened and have always been pleased with the standard of food and service. The menu always catered for everyone's taste and for this reason we have held a number of family get togethers over the years here to celebrate special birthdays and anniversaries. We visited again a few weeks ago and were really disappointed. Our table was not ready when we arrived and we had a 15 minute wait (this could be forgiven on a bust Saturday night!). They could have given us menus whilst we waited, but didn't. It took them a further 15-20 minutes to take our order and then we had a 30 minute wait for our starters which were basically a mixture of pate and soup (easily served). The worst thing really is the dramatic change to the menu, which is now essentially Italian and offers little scope for anything else. My husband had the Cajun chicken which was horrendously overseasoned, the pizza's are soggy and gone are even the curries and scottish stalwarts like the chicken balmoral etc. We were extremely disappointed and regretfully wonder if we'll make the effort to return!

When the equestrian centre opened at first, the great attraction was that you you could have your meal while watching some fine horses being exercised or in competition. One then could not say much about the food other than it was uninspiring but adequate. Over the last year I was told by a waiter that a new chef had taken over, and the menu now is principally Italian themed, with some favourite "Scottish" dishes still available. Last Friday (Nov.2, 2012) I arrived there around 7.00pm (solo) to find that Palominos was very full, as there had been an important equestrian 2 day competition, which had just finished. I asked if I had any chance of a table, and contrary to expectations, was given one right beside the bar. I was quickly attended to with my drink and my dinner order by various smiling and attentive young waitresses. I ordered minestrone soup ( delicious ) and fish and chips ( good ) but the accompanying side-salad was limp and distressed. With one Coca-cola, my bill came to around £13.50, was was reasonable. I will return there again, but not when it coincides with a large equestrian event.

Had the misfortune to eat there last night... food was awful and limited pub grub. The only thing that was good were the staff who were friendly and chatty, apart from that i would give this a miss. You have all walks of life eating here, last night we had families, team of drunken rowdy guys (and one lady) and the OAP's and Shell suited Chelsea & Dwayne out for a run in their A3 who stopped in for a hamburger ??

Attended a wedding reception lately. Location was great and the views were spectacular. Drinks were expensive - thankfully it was mid-week and we had the car with us and so one of us didn't drink or it could have been a costly night.

Last night my wife and myself enjoyed a great meal whilst celebrating the 80th birthday of a close friend. We were ushered into a private room where the friendly staff were most attentive for the entire evening. The meal provided was of excellent quality and a wide choice was available. All of the other guests also appeared to enjoy their meal. I was impressed by the general layout of the restaurant and surrounding facilities. The main restaurant was very busy for a Monday evening.Overall I was most impressed by the service and facilities on offer and look forward to a return visit.

It was with some trepidation i went to palominos last night after reading some of the reviews on this site.i had been given a gift voucher so that is the only reason i was there.I booked in advance and arrived 20 mins early, was seated right away and within 2 minutes we were offered drinks along with the menu. From that point the service only got better.I am annoyed that i didn,t note the young lady,s name who attended our table.young lady with dark hair and a ponytail if management are reading this, she was first class. The food was good ,the service was excellent and to all you people who are complaining about this place .get a life.

We just popped in for a drink before going to a gig round the corner. It has a nice feel to it inside like a wine bar. Modern decor. It was quite busy but still managed to get a seat. They have a function room upstairs that was heaving with people. They had a good DJ mixing tracks together. I could easily have settled in for the night. However, they do need to decorate the toilets to the same standard as the rest of the place. A few people were having food. It looked good but we didn't try.

Went for some food today after not being to the lynnhust in quite sometime. Checked out the menu online seemed good. When we arrived the menu had changed and was very disappointing as I didn't really like much on the menu and had I of known I would have went somewhere with better options. On a possitve not the waiter today Cameron was amazing and is a credit to the company.

Always good food, good drink, great atmosphere, and wonderful host and hostess. Susan, Tony and all the staff provide a welcoming place to gather in the village. They open their rooms for small business/social groups to meet. They are always ready to pitch in and help support local and national charities through onsite and offsite events. They are a valued gem in our community. My Wife is from Texas and she agrees, they welcome all with a big HOWDY!
