Lovely pub lunch with five people - everybody enjoyed their meals. And the dog even got a carrot from the kitchen as we had forgotten his treats. Great location next to the 18th at the Old Course.

Took the Itison deal for dinner, bed and breakfast. Were not very impressed with the accommodation as at very top of building and no lift. However we were booked in for dinner and I must say we had a superb meal. I had mussels followed by partridge and my husband scotch egg and chicken. Very nicely presented and so tasty. We were also brought some really nice warm bread to nibble on whilst we waited on our dinner. Would definitely revisit for a meal.

Called in for drinks on a couple of evenings whilst in town for a conference at the university. Had been here last year and found the place very quiet. All change this year however as on our first night we arrived towards the end of a Scotland game on TV and then on the second night a group of golfers from Dublin and some from USA were entertained as a couple of the guys from Dublin who had brought guitars with them; an Impromptu folk evening followed

Stopped off at the Golf Inn (1 Golf Place)in St. Andrews for a midday snack. This place is a bar and brasserie which also is a hotel with 'boutique' bedrooms. When we visited the bar staff were all welcoming. The bar area was 'dog friendly' which is always a plus as we had two bassets in tow. We ordered drinks and food which were speedly delivered. The menu for the bar was OK, not particularly extensive, but fine for our needs. We both nachos and chilli, and the portions were very generous. The place had a good atmosphere, was light and airy, and had the obligatory TV screens for the sport. Would be happy to return to the Golf Inn on any return visit to the town.

Ate here using an Itison voucher. Limited options but food was well presented and tasty. However my main involved chicken breast - it must have been a tiny chicken as this was the smallest chicken breast I have ever seen!! I could have eaten a large dessert after this - unusual for me - but didn't want to order one here in case it was as tiny as the chicken breast. Decided to go elsewhere for coffee and dessert. My husband had a burger - it was fine. Have had drinks/coffee here before and would again but would not choose to eat here again - too many other options that suit us better. Menu is quite restricted and pricey-ish for what it is even in St Andrews. Service was good - barman was friendly. Toilets are clean and well maintained.

We took advantage of an Itison Voucher and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and generous size portions. The menu was restricted but there was sufficient dishes to suit all tastes.

We ate here 2 nights in a row. Sunday night the place was full with lots of people. We both had the fish & chips and they were excellent. Second night, different story. Monday night the place was empty. I had the fish & chips again. The battering was a pasty pale colour as opposed to the night before when it was an enticing brown. I wondered if it was cooked, I ate it and it seemed fine, but it didn't start me with a good feeling. The chips on the second night were just undercooked enough that they still tasted like an undercooked potatoe. I was hungry and ate it anyways. Apparently the locals know that you don't come here on a Monday.

First time in st andrews. visited 1 golf place, ordered a budweiser to start with. My partner noticed cocktails on the list and i decided on a cuba libra, my partner had to then take the menu of ingredients to bar staff. 10 minutes later i was presented with a tall glass ( water glass ) filled with crushed ice, rum and some shaving of lime. No coke in the said cocktail just a total shambles. As i'm sitting thinking the place was nice, toilet was immaculate, but as a place that advertise cocktails and for staff to read from a book is poor training. The staff were lovely hence why i said nothing.

I got the instant impression that this place gets by strictly on it's location ie: passing trade from affluent customers to St Andrews. We stopped in for food. I also ordered a coffee, which was pretty much tasteless. I had what was essentially a bacon bbq burger, which cost £8. It was very standard, the burger was clearly shop bought and had little taste. The father in law had nachos, which looked as though they had come straight from a crisp packet, the guacamole was clearly from a squeezy bottle. The girlfriend had a fish finger sandwich, which was a meagre offering with 4 shop bought (again) finsh fingers on a oversized ciabatta. I visited the toilets and saw that they clearly needed a facelift, the doors needed a lick of paint too. Overall, dissapointing. There must be far better eateries in St Andrews!

The food was also pretty good. We actually ate there twice and the first time everyone was very pleased, from the lasagna to the burgers all was good. The second time we just wanted some appetizers to share. The potato skins are actually only one potato skin so just be sure to ask how many pieces come in an order so you are not surprised. Hubby wished he had mine although he enjoyed the fish and chips. As we left we noticed many people still waiting to be served, so if you have the time, try the Haggis, and you will love it. Do not believe the hype . It's a complete dump!! My dog wouldn't stay here. Unfortunately tonight I've got no choice. Don't even know where to begin. Curtains hanging off, wires hanging out of walls, dirty carpets and filthy dirty windows. Something huge took a massive dump on the window and that's what first caught my eye . Well my attention was divided between that and the curtains which are falling off, the broken lamp shade and the camera right outside the window which is like being watched by big brother!! This place can't have been done up since it was built. Chipped paint and mould in the shower!! Illegal wiring hanging out of walls . Dirty and chipped paintwork on doors and skirting .... The list goes on and on and on. Somebody please close this place down it can't even be legal!!! This gives the industry a really bad reputation and all for only £130 per night . Good god !!! I feel like I've been robbed!! Stay away... A long long way away. Once bitten!!!!!

Selección de comida justa, pequeñas raciones, no había mucha variedad para una comida ligera y bastante caro. Adjunto buena tienda de regalos

The food was great and had a nice and relaxed atmosphere, very enjoyable lunch on our way home. Will definitely return next time we are in the area.

We had a bad experience at this place. We went around 10 pm for drinks as we were told this place is opened till 11pm. But the staff and shift supervisor told us they are closed as there was no guests and they were not professional to welcome us. It was very obvious from their voice and look that they didn't want to serve us. Me, my brother and our teen children were visiting Scotland and it was very harsh to see such unprofessional and weird customer service. It was also obvious from their approach that they were mean to our color of skin and not happy to see color customers. Even though we talk about diversity but still people are not mentally and emotionally accept the diversity.

Avoid until the manager/owner recognises that her behaviour is incompatible with hospitality, although I suspect she's not the type of person to take feedback. I wish I'd read the reviews before I spent my money there. I didn't enjoy seeing an elderly fellow customer shouted at about a coffee, or other customers being told off about where they sat, and I didn't enjoy seeing a staff member being told off either. I also didn't enjoy hearing plates crashing about, if you have an open kitchen you might be aware of this. The food was nice enough but overpriced and the menu is very limited. I'm afraid there are no reasons to visit the cafe that are greater than the reasons not to visit. I'll be back to Culross but not to Biscuit.
