My friends and I went on a quiet pub crawl in Kirkcaldy. This place was excellent.

Unfortunatly will not be back in again. Its a shame as it was a great pub to visit a few years back, the staff are not welcoming one bit, doesnt hurt to smile Smells of dampness. there was a few people in probably there regulars, loud, foul mouthed and annoying really puts you off, Cannot comment on food as i did not eat here.

Thought I would try the steak pie and after waiting 50 minutes on it the steak pie itself was stone cold. First time I’ve sent food back and when it come back it had some cold spots again. Very disappointing. (Edit) this was about a week and a half ago I popped in for my lunch. Seen the reply, I never mentioned in my review it was today.

Came here today for a weekend trip from Southport . I'm Scottish was so beautifully reminded of how warm and friendly my people are . Had the best of days. Made friends service was excellent. Well worth a visit. . Love Eva . Xxx

Went here Friday evening, thought I’d give new management a try. Bad mistake worse management yet. They allowed dogs to continuously bark in the pub had too no action over this. Throughout Phil Booths performance the dogs were barking and management did nothing, the so called manager would rather dance around the pub than get things under control. Wouldn’t go back and would avoid like the plague unless you can enjoy music with dogs barking away and managers who do nothing. The bar was poorly stocked also just bad management. Doubt it will be open long

This is a pub with no pretentious attitude and a good atmosphere. It's a good size and caters for all but won't suffer fools gladly as it has its own regulars that are there week in and out, keeping the place open so doesn't need jerks demanding special attention just because they're going to be in once a year thinking they're being edgy. A good selection of drinks and good service, comfy surroundings and staff happy to help. Prices are fair and there's a fair bit of history to the place...it's survived where others haven't. 🍻

A traditional working man's pub. The staff were friendly and we enjoyed our macaroni cheese and chips. Looking forward to our next visit.

Tremendous bar, with a very hard working owner, and superb punters, who the majority are characters in the nicest possible way, lunchtime there is good wholesome food served.

I love these pubs that have a bit of old fashioned character and shopping with mum in Kirkcaldy we left the guys my dad and hubby in the pub for a wee drink. After shopping we joined the boys and this pub was ideal as dad could get in with his disabled scooter. He had been here many times before but this was our first time. Very welcoming staff even although we are not locals and were on holiday in Leven. Very considerate staff as they brought my dads pint over and made sure my dad had space to manoeuvre his disability scooter and didnt just watch. It was fairly priced for the drinks and access to the toilets was again easy for my dad. When back in Kirkcaldy this is definitely one place we would come back to and maybe next time have a meal as the food smelled really good .

It was quiet at the time we were in but compact and cosy. A good selection of drinks and good seating area. Not my thing with dogs running free in the bar, would rather they are kept under control.

All dishes are freshly cooked with a choice of baby .mash potato or chips and beautiful salad or veg all served piping hot

Traditional friendly pub with very good food

Top wee pub, great food and authentic. This pub has kept its selfrespect by remaining true to its roots, the music scene. If you want cocktails n flowers forget it, if you want real people and good music this is the place for you.

Visited this place on Friday afternoon. Greeted warmly by the Barmaid then guided to a 2 seater table by a wonderful woman - she will know who she is when i say her jeans didnt quite reach her ankle (ha ha). The service was absolutely brilliant (the steak pie from the corner was fab as were the potatoes). I will be back at this venue in the future. 5 stars to herself - it made my day.

Obviously don't give a flying **** about the community around them I.e. the people who live here. Hellish loud music all night - doors clearly wide open. Oiks in smokers corner even louder than the music and foul mouthed with it. How about a walk up to Kitty's. Check out the signs on their walls urging their clientele to keep the noise down when outside out of consideration for the neighbours. AND they have bouncers to enforce it. At least shut your doors!

There are other howfs in central Kirkcaldy that have signs on the wall asking their clientele to be quiet when outside in consideration for people who live near by. Sadly, this oik hang out is not one of them. Have been putting up with their racket all night long. Lousy music, doors clearly wide open and smokers corner I.e. the street, full of drunken, loud numpties shut the **** up..

We go here quite regularly on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. The always quick service, and the staff are lovely. Food is good and the prices are great. You can get a two course meal for about £7 and three courses for an extra couple pounds. They always have specials on and they serve light bite options for most meals, which is good as sometime the portions you get are quite big. Especially the salad and baked potato.

Lovely lunches in here would recommend it to anyone if you're in Kirkcaldy

as the rotten music blasts out. Wouldn't enjoy it if I was in there. REALLY don't enjoy it living round the corner.

A lo largo de los años ha tenido hacer trigos más y es a su crédito. Los fans de rock and roll estarán encantados con el telones. Incluso si la música no flotar su barco, las comidas se sirven a diario. Menú tiende a cambiar dependiendo del día, pero el tamaño de las porciones son razonables y no estirar su presupuesto. Comer aquí más que los sábados. La comida es buena y hay mucha variedad. Los precios son realmente buenos. El servicio y el personal es genial. Aquí hoy y unió hija y bisnieta. Así, etc. las bebidas extra. Precio no era un problema y la atención al nieto hizo la vida fácil. Cuándo y no se lo recomendaría a todos.

Este pub/Inn es excelente por su comida. Hay una opción en el menú, así como los especiales del día. La mayoría de la gente va para las ofertas especiales - el pastel de carne es excelente y la casa curry comidas son deliciosas. Yo también había tenido la salchicha cazuelas y es un regalo. Sin embargo, la mayor sorpresa es fuimos ir a pagar su factura - es tan razonable. Fiona, que está a cargo es muy acogedor y se inclina hacia atrás para asegurar que usted disfrute de su comida.

Called in here with my elderly mother for lunch, although the staff was friendly it wasn't the best meal she has had, it was luke warm , and took forever to arrive ....I wont be recommending...good staff but food leaves a lot to be desired

Great home cooked food staff all lovely and the steak pie best in town centre. It's now a pub in good hands and making a lot of effort.

El gran comienzo era cálido interior y el personal es agradable. Los buenos entrantes tuve setas y mi hija gougons de pollo, ambos deliciosos. Por desgracia, después de eso fuimos cuesta abajo. chili de Hijas era sosa y mientras arroz estaba bien hecha las patatas fritas eran frías. La otra hija tenía hamburguesas de pollo, que decía que estaba bien pero ha tenido mejor. Tuve una tostada de queso del aperitivo, también menú ya que no quería mucho. El plato parecía como si lo que debería haber sido un plato principal, el calor de queso era 2 rebanadas de pan con queso rallado en el medio. Decepcionado ya que estaba aquí hace unos pocos años, y la comida era increíble.

La excelente comida, buenas opciones de menú si quieres buena comida escocesa básica. El personal era muy amable, atento y muy servicial. Sin duda hacen de éste un lugar habitual para nosotros.

We only went into this pub because we had been let down at another but it don't think it was the best idea I ever had. It was a good old fashioned local so we were expecting some good (good being the operative word)old fashioned cooking. The décor was a bit dated but spotlessly clean and the staff, although a bit timid, were friendly. The service was quick and the food was hot but that was as much as could be said for it. The menu was not extensive, which is okay as long as what was cooked was tasty but what a let down. I had macaroni cheese, well that's what the menu said. Overcooked pasta with a definitely not cheesy sauce, well actually there was no sauce, just a flour flavoured clag of something. This was accompanied by thin, overcooked chips and a slice of undercooked soggy garlic bread (which was partially covered by the macaroni). We decided to forego dessert. Sorry guys but wouldn't recommend and we certainly won't be back.

The smell of old grease permeated the air and our table had crumbs all over it. But our lunch was tasty. So Wheatsheaf, pay attention to the details and you should see more traffic.

it changed hands recently and the new owners put fresh staff in all the bar staff are great friendly and helpful and the cook is ace food good , fresh and very enjoyable would recommend a visit
