Absolutely adore this place. Great vibe, great tunes, and generally a brilliant spot to chill and have a laugh. Love the steady flow of DJs and bands that come through, and the lively scene. The folks who work here are so lovely from the gents on the door to the bar staff (shout out to Ross and his 10/10 grapefruit margaritas). Excellent variety of cocktails/drinks on offer, especially if you're into beer. Definitely a place to stop by for a few the next time you're looking for a good night out in Glasgow.

Nice 'n' Sleazy is a guaranteed great night out. Been coming here for a while now and the music never fails to disappoint. Plus its free entry for students, so if you're not into it you haven't wasted a ton of cash. Can't comment on the food, but drinks are cheap and the staff always seem to be friendly enough if you are.

I left the bar and as I waited outside while my boyfriend went to the toilet, I was harassed by your door staff. I looked down Sauchiehall Street at the taxi rank to decide whether to get a taxi home and one of the (two) doormen went "Vincent, she's into you". My immediate reaction was "Are you talking to me?" and he was like "Yeah, you're checking my mate Vincent out". I explained I wasn't and I was 1. Checking out the rank for taxis and 2. Waiting for my boyfriend to exit so we could go home. The response was "What do you think it is Vincent? The fluorescent shoes and jacket or the hair?". I explained again (not that I should need to) that I was waiting on my boyfriend and that I wasn't checking him out. "She's into you". I should not have to stand outside a bar with a fear of being intimidated by the staff who work there. Like everywhere else, the staff are ambassadors for the bar and their behaviour reflects on the company. There is a sign in the bar that advises against "sh1tty attitudes" to patrons and while I acknowledge this should extend to all customers, it should extend to staff as well. I was basically harassed while waiting for my boyfriend to pee. This is not on.The behaviour was wholly unacceptable. I should not have experience this type of behaviour. It's 2018 for goodness sake. If it had been my boyfriend who had been waiting outside, he would not have been subject to the same harassment. I complained to the bar and received no response as to action that had been taken. So take note: Its not acceptable for patrons to harass other patrons but the staff cam behave as they like as the rules do not extend to them. Have forwarded the complaint to Glasgow City Council due to the lack of response from the bar and the fact they did not take the complaint seriously.

The doorman seems to think he is a school teacher and the customers are children, went here for an afterparty and he ruined the night. Came over because my partner was dancing and asked us to leave, said if he refunded me the round of drinks I had just bought I would, then it was suddenly ok to stay and finish them not that we felt like it after his behaviour. Bar average, Door Staff terrible

Been coming to Nice N' Sleazy on and off for a number of years now. Never disappoints. Came in for a drink recently after the DragonForce gig across the road to discover their was a metal band playing downstairs. Excellent! Great choice of beer on draught including locally brewed Williams Joker IPA and WEST Brewery St Mungo Lager. It's probably not everybody's ideal venue but there's always a great atmosphere and if you like Alternative/Rock/Indie then it doesn't get much better.

As Glasgow bars go, this one sits slap bang in the middle. It's quite grungy, the bartenders are polite but fall short of outright friendliness, and the beer / spirits selection is pretty average. I've visited a few times, both for milkshakes and drinks, and while I would certainly return in the future, it's not a venue that ever seems to want to impress. If you're out for a quiet drink or two, sure, Sleazys is a nice central option, but it's by no means the best the city centre has to offer.

But not for everyone. Very studenty but in a pretentious way which unless your used to it could put people off. As a venue it's atmospheric and packed but it gets loud and shambolic. Which along with mad decor and rubbish toilets is part of its rough and ready charm. Food is good and they often have great pop up food events. Gets busy and loud at night with cues to get in and a high percentage of people getting turned away. Recommend the cheap White Russians but be aware that the bar staff may not always win awards for being friendly. If coming in a group get here early or reserve a table for food or drinks.

I went here for lunch on a recent work trip to Glasgow. I was the only person in there at 1pm on a Tuesday. Service was speedy and very courteous. The burger and fries were excellent. I had the pignut which was with chorizo, bacon and bourbon jam, lettuce, tomato, smoked cheddar and something else I can't remember. It was juicy, succulent, clearly homemade, and overall outstanding! The portion was very large- I only just managed to finish it and I have to confess it filled me up all day. It is a shame that it is a little bit out of the way, and also that the atmosphere was so flat at lunchtime. It doesn't deserve to be so as it is a superb burger joint.

I'd read a review from a best burger in Glasgow blog and this place was very highly recommended. I've had lots of burgers in the states and Canada and I may have high expectations of what a burger should taste like. I was hopeful that the blog would give me a new appreciation for burgers in the UK, unfortunately Nice n' Sleazy didn't deliver. The ideas were there but, for me, the execution fell short. The burger was overdone and actually burnt in places. I like a bit of charring but this was burnt taste that dominated the burger. I had the Murderous Hog which had pulled pork. The pulled pork was nice but the bun was soggy unfortunately. I'm not sure if the poor burger was a one off but I was left feeling disappointed after the beaming recommendation from a food blogger. The amount of chips that arrived were minimal also. Beer was good though, good selection of beer and there was also live music on which was a bonus. Staff were friendly but couldn't set up a tab or pay with card which was a bit of a pain.

Long ago nice 'n' sleazys was full of pretentious, rude staff. I was once rudely spoken and imitated because I had my cash already out. He obviously felt this went against the hipster zeitgeist where people shouldn't use money or something. These staff have well been shot of thankfully. Generally the staff are pretty nice now. The place is interesting and usually has good club nights on as well as good music generally. Food is reasonably priced and reasonably decent. Drinks are good, However, if you've ever heard someone go on about how good the white russians in here are, they're taking out their starfish. The 'white russians' have Tia Maria in them instead of Kahlua. Other than that would recommend.

Sleazy's is somewhere that had been highly recommended to me by several friends for their burgers. Unfortunately this, The Braddock Burger, was not up to much and bordered on unedible. My wife and I made the short trip round the corner from our office at Charing Cross hoping for some relatively quick service on our lunch hour. There was a 30 minute wait which was a bit surprising as there was the same number of staff as customers (4) working, admittedly only 2 where in the kitchen though. As you can see from my attached photo they certainly weren't cooking the burger for that long. I struggled through about half of it but then got to a section that was far too undercooked. At about £9, even if it had a bit longer on the grill, the burger was very disappointing in comparison to other local burger establishments.Personally I'm really annoyed at myself for paying for my meal when it probably would have harmed my health to continue eating it! I was in a rush though and very hungry so sending it back or arguing with the staff didn't appeal. I'll definitely not be going back though. When I did mention to the barman, whilst paying, that my burger was disappointing and undercooked I had a small glimmer of hope that there would be some level of concern. Instead I was told, "Sometimes they put ketchup I'm the burger mix so it could be that." I'll let you form your own opinion from my attached photo.

I'm not one to judge based on reviews or image, but you'd be forgiven for thinking that this place was terrible, with terrible waiters, terrible service and terrible waiting times. Blah blah blah. This is as far from the truth as can possibly be. I personally think the service was exactly what it needed to be, non-intrusive and helpful. Sure there are a few things to improve on and as I went on a quiet Sunday afternoon I can't speak for times when this place is packed full of carnivorous burger-lovers. My experience nonetheless was faultless. The burgers here were incredible. I had the pignut. A mouth-watering mountain of delicious meat, haggis and chorizo. Dear. God. By the end of the burger I was completely off my pignut, with several food babies growing inside of me and crying longingly for more pignuts. Shut up food babies! There's no room left. Three days later I am still in awe at the flavours I found hidden under two delicious toasted brioche buns. Superb. Next time I will be growing my beard and hiding part of my pignut inside, to be eaten as a nice suprise later in the week. The only things that this place could be improved by would be a lick of paint and complementary taxis for all those who eat the mammoth burgers on offer. Oh and some card machines may help; anyone wanting to eat here should either take cash or not moan when you're required to have some. All in all, I shall definitely be returning to sample more of the burgers and, I hasten to add, the amazing chips with rock salt. Seriously. Completely unnecessary but a welcome addition. Amazing food, amazing value for money and a service that compliments the experience!

My BFF and I had a mate-date last night, having food and drinkies in Sleazy's then going to a gig...GREAT FUN!! We planned on having Meat Hammer burgers, but after I saw pics of them, we thought we'd be ready for a nap rather than a boogie, so we opted for "lighter bites"...We both decided upon quesadillas, mine with pulled pork and R's with chicken...they're a BARGAIN, and come in 2 halves, so we swapped a half each-GREAT!! We also had some triple-fried chips with cheese and deep fried macaroni with sweet Chili dip! LOADS of food for £15.95... I REALLY enjoyed the quesadillas; they had picked red onion and wee olives in-yummy surprises!! I've had deep fried macaroni before and they were wee balls of mac, rolled in breadcrumbs and fried-not in Sleazy's..! There we had a bowl of unrolled/unbreadcrumbed actual we bits of pasta, fried...it was reeeeeally crunchily strange, but TOTALLY addictive, we both agreed! We finished them! :-)She and I actually had a conversation about what our star rating would be, I said four...we agreed that'd be fair; howwwwever, we actually went BACK after the gig (the lure of el cheapo White/Chocolate Russians was too severe!!) and were sliiiightly harassed by a reaaaally weird dude...! The bouncer came over and made sure we were ok and that they guy wasn't annoying us too much-at that point, BFF said "five stars for the bouncer" agreed!! I would DEFINITELY recommend Sleazy's for food and drinks, most specifically the choccie Russians (white Russians with choccie syrup in) and the quesadillas...delish and inexpensive, two of my favourite things!!

Meat hammer burgers were the big draw for myself and my partner and as expected they were fantastic.Unfortunately having my food thrown at me, minus cutlery and not even asking which burger was which is simply a joke. The burger itself was OK albeit slightly pink in the middle (they didn't ask me how I wanted it cooked, and I didn't have time to wait for them to cook it more) but the sauce was really sweet and didn't have much of a kick. We went to Paris in the summer and I will never go there again, but I would visit Glasgow again tomorrow in a flash and come here for another love bite burger. I have dreamt about those burgers since. Divine !

The Meathammer menu is excellent. Burgers are up there with the best in Scotland and they never disappoint. Unfortunately, the horrible, discourteous and downright rude manner of the staff means ill not eat there again, but thankfully there's another Meathammer outlet on Byers Rd. Still a quality bar through for weekends. Happy to go for drinks and club nights, but will save myself the indignation of being treated like that again by not ever returning for food.

Always loved this place, the food is amazing and the music is (generally) brilliant. The best (and worst) thing about Sleazy's now though is watching the increasingly ludicrous hipsters who are taking over the place! I'll always love this place - maybe I just need to get myself an asymmetric haircut, skinny jeans, fisherman jumper and a pair of moccasins...

Took friends in for a meal as had read good reports. We placed our order they didn't have two ingredients for my choice so I changed to a clasic mature cheddar cheese burger. When the order eventually arrived about 45 minutes to an hour later the burger was nice enough but I couldn't see or taste the cheese so asked, the waiter came back and said it was Swiss cheese and had melted into the bun!!! Swiss cheddar never heard of it!!! It was also noticed by my friend that the kitchen staff who we could see did not wear gloves. An experience we will never repeat.

The burgers were the best! However, the server was tending the bar and waiting tables which increased wait time. They lived up to another review I rad about the best burgers in Glasgow but I would suggest going here during a time when there's more staff on hand. Otherwise I would have given this place 4 stars

From the moment I walked in I felt at ease with this place. The doorman was lovely to us (unlike most doorstaff) he cracked some jokes while checking our ID which was nice. I'd say the place had a sort of Indie vibe, We only came for drinks, we didn't eat so I can't comment on the food but the atmosphere was great. The lighting was lovely, quite low and the lamps had hearts, diamonds, clubs and spades on them like a pack of cards which looked pretty cool. The place had a deliberate "rough around the edges" look which I quite liked. We could hear a gig going on downstairs. What I liked most was how chilled out the place seemed, at some other bars you can expect shameless rowdiness and to watch someone at the table next to you to do one too many shots and throw up on the floor but not here, you can get pleasantly tipsy with your good friends and soak in the atmosphere till the early hours. We didn't check out the dancing area downstairs but I wish we had as the sounds drifting upstairs sounded awesome.Overall it depends what kind of night you are looking for if you are looking for a wilder night of heavy drinking and the top 20 dance chart playing full blast then this probably isn't the best place for this kind of night as the music is more alternative. However if you are looking for a chilled out night with friends or your partner this place has a great atmosphere and the option to go downstairs and dance or watch live performances. I personally think this would be an excellent place for a date, like seriously if a guy took me there on a first date I'd be delighted and quite impressed. It's a bit different and more casual :)

So, it's a bit of a crap day weather wise and I decide to go Sleazy's for a pint and a burger. I'd been in here loads before but never had food. I remember the days of the sleazy burger which never appealed to me but these 'Meathammer' things look great. I decided on the Murderous Hog and a pint of Black Isle Organic. The beer seems to be the most expensive on tap at 4.25 a pint but it's so tasty, you really have to try it. All in I spent about £13.50 which if you consider the alternatives around like wetherspoons or some hell-hole like that, is quite good. The burger came and it's immense. The burger alone is huge but the pulled pork and everything else really makes it worthwhile. The chips you get with it are perfect. Fat and crispy just like I like my women....aaanyway......so by the time I'd had this feast and read the paper I was ready for a nap. Instead, I had another pint which the waitress brought over to the table which was kind of unexpected. This is Sleazy's for god sake, what happened to the surly bar staff and the 'don't give-a-damn attitude'? This is a lovely wee place which has, I suppose, matured with its audience. Evidenced by the fact they now have a kids licence and a kids menu. Crazy. All in all it's a great place and I'll always love it. If you're coming to glasgow you should try this place out. Yes, it's not pretty to look at but it's what's on the inside that counts and what's on the inside is great and friendly staff, a great jukebox and a spotify account for during the day and a great arcade machine with some great retro gaming on board. It would be a shame to come to glasgow and miss out on this iconic venue.

Great music, cold ambience, in a punk/gothic sense. Quite small and bit too tight. I had to squeeze my way from the entrance to other end of the bar.

Last Sat night (19/04) we visited an old student haunt of ours, on the hunt for what has been billed to us as the best burgers in Glasgow. The bar is still pretty much the same as it was in the 90s. However despite the surroundings - inside and out! The food definitely lived up to the rep. Burgers by Meathammer were beautifully cooked and great value. Good choice of beers, both bottled and draught. I'd recommend probably going for food during the day rather than a busy Sat night as it can get quite crowded. I was shocked at how good the food was.

Sleazy's really is a bit if a dive but this is more than made up for by the food done by Meathammer & friendly knowledgeable staff. Both our burgers were cooked to perfection & served with some of the best chips I have ever eaten. Forget the surroundings & enjoy some of the best burgers Glasgow has to offer.

Dined here on Friday 20th. Weather was horrid. P*ssing of rain (typical scottish weather) and had the barrage of Christmas shoppers. So was glad to have turned up and instantly found a booth. This venue is by no stretch of anyone's imagination an upmarket joint. Its boggin' riddled with graffiti but this just adds to the character and aslong as your not looking for michelin star quality decor this shouldn't deter you! attracts all types of people from the students, professional workers and even the oldies!easily in the top 5 burgers Glasgow has to offer and at great value. Made fresh, Does take a little while for the order to arrive. we waited 30 mins for three burgers. Good ingredients, tastes fresh and would definitely come back to try another!

I've been meaning to try Meathammer for a while so when I was in Glasgow I did not hesitate. Burger was delicious and chips are good. I never realised that it came with chips so ordered a side portion which proved to be my undoing as I was stuffed. The only downside was the music, the was a girl DJing some kind of soul music. Definitely not my thing and she seemed to be the only person enjoying it

Had been planning a trip to meathammer for quite a while but between one thing and another never got round to it. Well, when I finally did get there,I didn't want to leave! I had heard great things about their burgers and I wasn't disappointed. We spent quite a while drooling over the menu before ordering, sadly hadn't noticed the 'specials' board, or I might be there still trying to choose. We waited approx 25 minutes,(saturday afternoon). It was torturous watching other people's burgers coming out, they all looked amazing. Staff were great ,drinks reasonable. It was a great afternoon and can't wait to go back and work my way through the rest of the menu,'Holy Boar' next for sure!

So we went to try their "best in Glasgow" burgers a few weeks ago before a gig. After waiting for an hour and a half we had to run to the gig. It was busy, the waiter was apologetic and gave us our bottle of wine on the house, and we thought we'd give them another go.We did that yesterday, much to our dissapointment. A normal Wednesday night; we walked straight into an empty table, so not busy. We ordered our burgers and were told that "it'll be half an hour" After 35 minutes we asked where it was, and the rudest waitress I've ever had the pleasure of informed us it would be "another 10-20 minutes as you were told". After 25 there was no still no sign of our food. That's an hour of my life wasted.if they had been apologetic in any way I wouldn't be here posting, but the arrogance and aloofness was a disgrace. Please go to any of the many other restaurants around next time you're looking.

This is a great wee place so long as your expectations are low. Really a bit of a dump but good atmosphere for gigs and really eclectic clientele. Staff can be a bit rude and up themselves at times, but some are okay. Not too pricey for a night's drinking and always a real buzz about the place.

It's hard to explain how good the food at Sleazy's is now that Meathammer is involved. This is the end of the line for burgers - all fresh food, home made. Impossible to explain the amazing-ness of this online, you just have to try it. Friendly staff, excellent bar (its Sleazy's, you all know it right?). As far as burgers go, I don't see how these could be any better, and the veggie options are amazing as well.

Well I'm a sucker for a good burger and we intentionally came here to experience what is claimed to be the best burger in Glasgow! I wasn't disappointed by the burger but it didn't leave any lasting impressions and it didn't WOW me enough to block out the band playing downstairs or make me blind to the grotty walls and sticky plastic table clothes! I got the standard classic cheese burger which was very juicy and tasty with a slightly sweet perfectly toasted bun...the problem being they made up for its small size by giving it extreme height! It was impossible to eat and very messy so I wouldnt recommend it to anyone going for a first date. Their homemade chips came already salted which is fine for me but not might be everyone's choice, but they were cooked perfectly and very tasty! All I would say for both is that I would have appreciated a little more as I prefer to leave stuffed more than just satisfied. To add to the experience, the drinks are extremely over priced and their mid week deal is a spirit and mixer for £2.50, that to me is not a bargain on a Wednesday night considering some places do £1 or £1.50 drinks mid week. Burger prices were good value for money (if it was the weekend) but unfortunately with all the Glasgow daily deals available it wasn't much of a cheap dinner out for mid week.

This was the best burger I've ever eaten. No competition. Toasted brioche bun soaked in gravy / sauce, fresh salad and delicious flavoursome moist juicy succulent meats. Triple cooked chips. The food was superb. There were six of us - we all ate different burgers including 1 vegetarian - there wasn't a crumb left on any of our plates. Amazing burgers. Approx. £9 per person for food. Superb value for money. I would definitely eat there again and recommend to a friend. The venue itself is a bit of a grubby pub - but well worth it for the food.

If your wanting an amazingly tasty mouth watering burger, go here! For around £8 with chips included. I haven't found any other burger place, yet, that compares to Nice & Sleazys juicy, flavoursome & filling burger. The only down side to this place is the venue itself, the decor is awful , the place looks like its falling apart & there are scribblings on the walls that people have left.. It's a bit of a dive.

Today I waited over 45 minutes with work colleagues for our lunch. Food that despite the fact it tasted nice, did not warrant such a long wait. Just incredibly bad service. And even worse when you consider we were all on an hour's lunch break! Turning up at the office half an hour later than expected is not usually going to swing in your favour, so if you don't have the time to wait on food, I would honestly urge you to go somewhere else. Speed doesn't seem to be in the Sleazy vocabulary, and sadly I can't even blame it on being an unfortunate one-off - the last time we came out for a work lunch we waited 40 minutes and again returned late to work. So as of today it's officially blacklisted for work time lunch visits. Sad times.Despite this however, I do still have some good things to say, so let's start at the top! If you're looking for a super-slick, trendy, shiny-shiny, modern bar this is definitely not the place to go, but hold on! That's kind of why people love it :)Sleazy's has always had character. If that's what you're looking for, and you can take a casual attitude to your visit, then take a look. It attracts quite a varied crowd, from local business men, to students from the nearby Art School, and has itself a good reputation as a local music venue. It's been through a few interior/menu changes since I started going there when I was 18 (I can't quite believe that was a decade ago), but still retains its grungy, muso vibe. And if you're a fan of amusing graffiti, you'll find yourself at home! Hours of distraction. The food, while incredibly slow, is also good. The thing I'd most recommend at Sleazy's though, is Monday night's Acoustic Open Mic. It has a very high standard, with plenty of regulars and good banter, and is an absolutely fantastic way to spend an evening. But get there early if you want a seat! If you don't you will be consigned to standing or sitting on the floor. Please invest in some more seats Sleazy's! Or stools! Or cushions! Or anything! The dirty bums and sore legs of your customers are crying out for help.

Had heard good things about N/S burgers so decided to try for ouselves. Reasonably priced and my partner enjoyed hers thoroughly. Personally, i would have liked if the bun wasn't as sweet and think and the chips only cooked once. However, the ingredients were fresh and a small side of mac and cheese was very tasty. Probably would have given 3 1/2 out of five if it had been a choice. Service friendly and fun! Will recommend to friends.

Thoroughly enjoyed home made soup and a delicious panini for my lunch followed by tea and biscuits. Worst shawarma I’ve ever had. I grew up with the best Lebanese/Middle Eastern food outside of the old country in Dearborn, Michigan. I enjoy pushing the envelope a bit with the cooks up King Street and Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow, and while a bit greasy, that food is all right. Shawarma Boy? Man: you gotta grow up. It’s clear that the food is hanging on its laurels with jalapeños, chilli…and zero taste underneath. For £13 for a wrap and chips, I expect a lot more than a tiny wrap which was made wrong in the first place - not okay for someone to order food without stuff to then have half the junk on it...I mean, get it together. The worst chicken shawarma I’ve ever tasted in the entire world can be found at Shawarma Boy in the Barras - Calton, Glasgow at BAaD. It's awful. Avoid.

Place is a shambles. No consistency whatsoever. Shut every time we visit. Ye phone to order and they to you use the app. The app doesn’t work. Their timings are all over the shot. What’s the point in having a shop if you’re never open or reliable. Local area needs a better roll shop pronto. Would make a killing.
