Thornwood Chippy in Glasgow City

I ordered a fish supper in store, which cost around £9. I was stunned to see just how small the portion sizes when I got home. Obviously it was far too late to go back, but the portion sizes were disgraceful. Stunned at these prices being charged during a cost of living crisis. Won’t be back.

Excellent food and quick friendly service. Fish supper very nice and half roast chicken cooked perfectly very reasonable prices.

First of all very friendly service and a very good price so no complaints there. Food is a mixed bag, chips were a bit underdone when I got them, bettered sausage was good, fish not the best. All tends to be made to order which is good. Overall I'd go back as it's very near to me and it's nice and cheap, but definitely far from the best chippy I've had.

Advertised as open till 22:00, it isn’t, went tonight at 21:20, Closed, maybe update your website ?? Giving good rating though as times I’ve been it’s always been great, just moaning cause I was hungry and got nowt 😧

Got the fish supper, extremely salty and got 4 bones in the fish. No tartar sauce either :( would not go back

Editing my review: ordered from here twice now. The guy in the shop is a really nice, put fresh chips on for us both times. Both times I got the mince pie. Both times was really good. Both up there with best mince pies suppers I've had. Keep it up guys.

Got fish supper. And some box like a munchy box. The stuff in box was ok I guess...the fish tho..nearly choked on 5 bones in the first few bites of it...had to bin it straight away. Gravy could have been diorehea for all I know...brown thin water..no taste...so the box stuff was average...but...was gutted about the fish...was looking forward to it. Would i go back?...unfortunately not sorry.

Worst chips i have ever had. Totally inedible.

Didn’t think it was possible to ruin chips. Having said that I did eat them all but believe me that’s not saying much.

Excellent Chippy-always cooked fresh when you order on line or phone, and piping hot, very reasonable prices, fantastic chips!

very disappointed with the thornwood chippy, i had a fish supper and it tasted just like it says in the title. never am i having anything out of there again absolutely disgraceful.

Avoid at all cost, went for a fish supper today it was awful. The chips were reheats and black.Worst chippy ever been to and wont go back. The place didnt even look clean.... Environmental health getting a call
