Krispy Chicken and Fish Bar in Highland

Ordered a delivery on foodhub, was told a £4.50 delivery charge, upon placing the order was phoned by the company and told that I would have to pay £15 cash delivery charge upon receiving the order. Well we paid the money and the food arrived!! I can't say how bad the food was, Let's start with the delivery, it was tepid The food looked terrible The pizza was bright red, we ordered a vegetable pizza We ordered a chicken and sweetcorn pizza, it was bright red and congealed We ordered a double cheese burger it was cold and resembled road kill I can't express enough that you will take your life In to your own hands eating this food.

Came up from Liverpool doing a short tour,got the best fish and chips I have ever had,wife had the sweet chilli wrap which was unbelievable, we will be back as we loved it here, but the chippy stole the show for me,thank you.

There was nothing wrong with the food or the service, but the atmosphere in the restaurant itself was not very inviting.

I was stuck so it was my only option.

I wanted chicken on the bone but none was cooked so I ordered a cheese burger with salad and chips, I liked the chips but didn't like the burger it wasn't to bad just wasn't for me. The premises on the other hand wasn't good the appliance used to do the chicken was a very poor condition rusty and Disgusting and the vents in the wall was black with thick muck and there was a high pitched bleeping like there smoke alarm was broken. The lady who served me was very nice but the other guy guess he was the owner seemed nervous but I won't be ordering anything again.

Got the wrong order and I'm a regular. Well not anymore. Undercooked and not what I wanted. Poor management. I won't be coming back.

Me and my partner got the crispy chicken fries and he was ill after having them once outher than that this place is great.

Very rude owner! I went at 8pm on a Saturday night and asked for some chicken wings he told me "sold out" I asked him what wasn't sold out and he said "sold out" I said "what sort of business are you running?" He said "my shop, my choice, my business".....… absolutely unreal. An extremely obnoxious little man and it's no wonder he finds himself where he is..

This place was incredible. We are here from the Maine in the US. Was looking for something open later at night. The food was incredible, we both got fish and chips. Large portion, excellent fish, the owner is very friendly. Highly recommend.

Chip shop, pretty run down. The quality of the food was very poor but it was also very cheap. Parts of the map were unavailable.

Ordered 3 portions of chips - great price but was a let down. Chips were like rubber

I cannot fault the friendliness of the staff and their time-keeping but the pizza was not pleasant. It was very thick and doughy with far too much cheese. The spicy chicken tasted of curry spices which doesn't go well with cheese to my taste. My two teenagers who normally eat anything were unable to eat more than a couple of slices. The cheesy garlic bread was ok but again a bit too cheesy to eat much of. To be honest the crispy chicken did look rather good and with hindsight we should have ordered that but everyone fancied pizza on this occasion. I don't like to write poor reviews but I wouldn't want others to have the same disappointment and have to throw so much food away.

The food is amazing from this place the pizza is the best cheese and tomato ❤️There is lots to choose from but the pizza 🍕 is my favorite

Pizza has such a heavy base and filling tasted poor quality covered with so much cheeses to hide them. Definitely toppings on there not even ordered. Would not recommend although didn’t try anything else

First off, food is ok… but 3rd time I have ordered now and 3 times it’s been late. Phone up to see where order is and not even an apology just told it’ll be another 15-20 minutes then still doesn’t arrive by then. It’s like they only realise they have an order once I’ve phoned up to see where it is. Terrible customer service. It’s a shame because I do enjoy the food hence why I’ve given it 3 chances, no more though.

I have been using krispy chicken for an good few years now and I haven't had bad experience with them the staff are always friendly yeah delivery takes a while to get here but not bothered about that lol

Never had bad food from here, we travel 44 mile round trip to get pizza and chips, that should tell you all you need know

Lovely food, juicy chicken, perfect hand cut chips and super friendly!

Prices are a bit hit and miss, a lot of prices are now loads higher than the stated menu prices and some are the same, do they look at you when you walk in and think hmmm I'm gonna charge them more cuz they don't look like a tramp? Food took ages to be ready and was only fish and chips, while I was waiting for my food the staff looked REALLY slow at getting the food out, looked like one meal at a time, no multitasking whatsoever, and it wasn't that good when it did arrive, greasy and soggy chips and greasy batter etc its getting that bad that I'd rather go elsewhere nowadays, oh the can of Tango was cold tho so its not all bad, but generally a big thumbs down lately!

Ordered a sweet chilli chicken wrap and chips. The wrap was delicious with tender chicken and a good portion but the chips were bad, soggy and not the best portion for £6.50 total. The menu price had apparently gone up even though they haven't got a new menu. Inside the decor looks very odd with a nightclub style sofa and 2 fridges by the front door.

Decent food, decent prices and friendly staff all makes for a great late night pitstop.

Got two fish suppers. Chips portion was very miserly and they were obviously the end of a batch dry and full of little ends. Batter on fish was raw inside. Second time we have tried them in a few years. There won’t be a third.

The pizza is not the best, but the chicken is nothing short of fantastic! Plus the staff is really nice and even helped find our way to the next gas station.

The pizza was really the last thing, the rest was wonderful. Chicken recommended!

Friendly service good choice of foods

We regularly travel the 30 min drive to get food from here. Pizza is the best in caithness and definitely worth it!

The best of the best can't beat it chicken so good pizza so good and the fish is ok but the chicken makes is 5 star

KFC, McDonald’s and burger king are good but they are nothing compared to this. Thurso has the privelege of having a takeaway to this standard. Absolute gold standard, recommend the chicken nuggets n chips especially with the cheap ketchup that is actually the best and just completes the whole thing. It shut down for a while nd I hope this never happens again, they have great lunchtime deals especially 🏅
