We were a party of 4 wanting something quick and tasty to eat, we only had a short time as we had to meet a coach, the service was good albeit a little slow but this was because everything was made fresh. The quality and taste was very good and the price paid, we also saw that all profits go to help the local children's hospital which was perfect! If ever we are in the area again we would use them again.

Not from Inverness so had no idea what to expect. Looked cheap and cheerful. Cheapish yes, cheerful not. thin middle aged women making up sandwiches looked as though she was totally disinterested at serving us, tried to make polite conversation with her, not a good idea as a slight grunt came back of ' what can I get you' Staff on till a little better. Food reasonable, but cutlery filthy, tables filthy, tables un-cleaned. Spoke to another lady at adjacent table who informed us that it was a charity café for the local children's hospice. Not a good impression, sorry.

Had a quick lunch visit yesterday whilst on trip to Inverness. I pea & ham soup with a sandwich. There was an offer on for soup & half sanwich - £4.10. Quite possibly the best pea & ham soup I have ever had. It really was delicious!! Sandwich was lovely too. Staff were very friendly and I was served very quickly. It was fairly busy when I visited, I will definitely be back. Fantastic way to support a charity. Only slight negative. I sat inside the shop as I wondered that the seating outside the shop may be a wee bit cold as the doors to the main street are opening and shutting continually. Wouldn’t be an issue in the warmer weather.

My wife, daughter and I popped in for lunch on Saturday. My daughter is at University in Inverness, so she suggested it and was happy to see money goes to a charity. We all ordered soup and a sandwich, along with a drink and both types of homemade soup were excellent. The sandwiches also had plenty of filling and were very tasty (and made to order). Only 2 girls serving and it was really busy but they were both very nice and we didn't have to wait for any length of time. Happily eat here again and handy if you are out but don't want the usual fast food places.

Two members of staff: Polite enough but, my goodness, speed was not part of their day! The girl at the till made no attempt to keep the queue in check and allowed folk to jump in despite knowing people were ahead. That resulted in people who had part of their order from one girl, and were waiting for service from that (second) girl to serve other items (cakes, etc.), being left waiting...! Bacon rolls: Bacon had been cooked goodness knows when and was re-heated. Suitable for soling shoes... Due to delays stated, cold! Add to that the cost - we'll not be going back. Very disappointing, as the reason we went in the first place was to give a wee bit of support to the charity. To be blunt, if they are flying under that flag, they really need to up their game...

I heard good reviews about this place but must have caught them on an off-day. Food was by no means hot and got cold not even halfway through eating it. A toastie was ordered and the cheese was not melted at all and the bread was barely toasted. The coleslaw tasted store bought and ultimately wasn't a great experience. We will be leaving it a while before we go back.

Worse service in town! People like that shouldn't be serving customers if they don't have basic skills to do that. Lovely place but service should be revised if they want customers to come back, specially with so many other options around runned by more friendly people happy to serve you and help you to have a pleasant experience. Good manners, that is all what I ask for. If you can't have them don't run a coffee shop, get another job!

I ordered a chicken mayo baguette and there was mud all over my lettuce. I informed the staff that this was quite dangerous as there is a risk of E.coli. They basically couldn't have cared less. The lettuce was still sat out and being served after I left. I asked for my money back but the lady on the till said she didn't know how to refund my card! They didn't even offer me an alternative so I had to go elsewhere and buy another lunch! I emailed the company and they did finally apologise and say they would refund me but I've not seen my refund and nor do I expect to. Terrible customer service and unhygienic food. Visited here for coffee and cake with husband. The location is very handy just inside the eastgate centre. When we arrived there was a Q of one on front. I told my husband my order and went off for a quick browse in a nearby shop (he was happy to avoid the shopping trip so suited him fine to get the coffees). On coming back 10 mins later there was still a Q of one on front! It was another few mins before my husband was served. I thought it might just have been a blip but as we sat and had coffee we noted most people were kept waiting for a long time. Incidentally the coffee and cake was very good once it arrived. More staff definitely required on Saturdays though.

Everything was fine in truth it just lacks a bit of lustre/panache. A smile from the staff would have helped. Our drinks were good but the fruit loaf had been left uncovered and was dry on the surface, it's much better to cut each piece as the day goes on...We opted to try here rather than our usual haunt (Girvan's) as we like to try and vary our experiences. Sadly Inverness seems lacking in good quality places to take tea/coffee and a decent cake hence Girvan's dominance.

Tucked away at the back of Inverness's Eastgate Centre. With the scenic view of the the escalators and the automatic doors onto the High Street, the setting for Archie's is perhaps not the most inspiring. You'll be presently surprised if you order. Archie's a charitable cafe with plenty of seating and a good choice of sandwiches and rolls for a good lunch. I usually go for the New Yorker which is peppered ham, emmenthal cheese and tomato and haven't been disappointed once. Always served with plain crisps, it's more than enough for me and the prices are pretty reasonable to boot as wel.

A nice, fairly quiet café with plenty seating and a pretty wide selection. I've visited three now and both times had a lovely sandwich every time, and a really nice soup with it on one occasion. My only criticism is that some sandwich fillings (like the tuna and meats) looked a bit off, having obviously been sitting in the chiller cabinet too long and started to dry out.

Usually have either home-made soup, bread, salad bowls or big sandwiches. You pick the fillings. There are more things to choose from. The coffee is great and there is plenty of home baking. There are also plenty of seats and there is a play area for small children. I'm sure someone will correct me if I've got this wrong.
