The food is quite OK for Scottish standards

I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Auctioneers in Inverness, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Upon entering the establishment, I was immediately struck by the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the attentive staff Cara and Nathan. Their hospitality was unparalleled, as they ensured that every guest felt valued and comfortable throughout their visit. Now, let's talk about the food. To put it simply, it was absolutely amazing. Each dish was meticulously prepared with the finest ingredients, resulting in a culinary journey that left me thoroughly impressed. From appetizers to desserts, every bite was a delight to the senses, showcasing the culinary expertise of the chef, Chantelle. In addition to the delectable food, the atmosphere of the restaurant further elevated the dining experience. We had lunch here yesterday, should have changed our minds when first couple of choices were unavailable! However we were hungry so ordered gammon steak and chicken, ham and leek pie - after 20 minutes or so the food arrived. The gammon steak looked lovely but the pie! well it was a lot of creamy sauce containing half cooked leeks, NO ham and ONE piece of chicken the size of my thumbnail with a piece of not quite cooked puff pastry on top served with watery broccoli and chips with a small chicken gravy pot. So disappointing! It wasn't very nice - but the few chips I ate were okay! Young lady server asked if everything was okay so I told her about the pie and to her credit she refunded what I'd paid. We have eaten in The Auctioneers before when in Inverness but never again and I definitely won't be recommending it to anyone!

Went in for a few pints while waiting on a train. Hardly anyone in the place when I arrived, only one barman on at the time, who had it well covered and was very attentive to the 10 or so customers as well his other duties, cleaning/setting up table etc.. Pints where good price as was the food, looked decent, I will definitely eat there next time.

If you're looking for to buy something at an auction house you're going to be bitterly disappointed. However, they do sell beer. Lots of TV screens if you want to watch some sports

Up from Edinburgh with my wife, booked a table o-line for 6pm. Arrived to be told our booking hadn't been put through because they don't check bookings on the same day. Very dissappointed!

Really good place was in during the rugby and what an atmosphere bar staff very helpful and welcoming

A decent bar, totally let down by having only one working toilet. It should not have been opened without adequate facilities. I won't be back

This place was brilliant when I went the service was brilliant the atmosphere was great and the food is great I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a 5star chefs food and this food

Great food and wonderful people, both the service staff and other dinner's. This is what I expected as pub food fare and atmosphere. Enjoyable and recommend as a stop when traveling within Scotland.

Very friendly place and helpful staff

Front of house staff were brilliant - the three girls that were on duty were lovely, friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. We were there for 1300 - watching all the rugby games - about 1600 we decided to order food - not much choice for vegans - so we ordered one if everything - first if all order was wrong - we got halumi instead of houmous which was quickly changed, then my burger was cold, a new one was made but then there was no cheese (vegan) on it, half the sweet tattie fries were raw, overall not a nice dining experience, the girls were good and we were offered a free drink as an apology.

Good value for money, though a few things not available from the menu. What we did get was very tasty. Staff lovley, friendly and attentive

Everything was perfect ! The staff was so nice, the burgers were so tasteful (the beyond meat was delicious), the gins were really good and the prices were definitively okay ! That was my favorite place in Inverness !

Bad service and bad reservation. After reservation there was no place! I did call, and the lady told me that i can get a drink but for diner to wait at least an hour.. we called and drive 30 mins to get there. Hope the customer stays away

We waited outside hoping to watch the women's world cup. When they saw us waiting they turned off the world cup and opened the door to ask if we needed anything, then told us they weren't opening until 11:30 "because of their kitchen." I would suggest edits to their hours but I have no idea whether that's consistent or not because the woman wouldn't elaborate. Missed kickoff as a result, really disappointing.

The food was good, the staff very nice. It is a restaurant where I will go back. It is a nice value for your money

The bar / eatery was not too busy when my party of 8 dined here. Service was very prompt, maybe due to nit being busy and the staff were incredibly polite. Every dish arrived roughly within seconds of one another....nice touch. Food is fairly simple but every one of us enjoyed our dishes. Great selection of foreign and domestic alcohol . Really good pint of Guinness...result! Veggies have a selection of meat free dishes to chose from. I'd eat and drink here again.

We came in and asked for some cocktails, got told they don’t do cocktails that aren’t on the menu but the one last night did make us some. Not a very great look.

Great for a quick drink, even better if you are a sports fan, there are at least 15 tv's streaming golf, basketball, tennis... great atmosphere

We arrived at around 20:30 but said that the kitchen is already closed. So what is the point of writing the kitchen openning times to google if not followed...

We only visited for drinks (so can't comment on food) however it was a pleasant surprise to find a quality sports bar in Inverness. Good priced drinks, good quality pool tables and multiple screens with multiple sports on each. Would definitely come back!

Went here a few times food lovely could do with adding more to menu ,but good value staff very nice

It took over an hour to get our food after ordering at the bar. I was not given any warning how long the wait would be. When it finally did arrive, I would describe it as mediocre at best. The pie crust was tough, the chips lukewarm, and the burger bun was soggy on the bottom. The staff seemed ambivalent.

Service is quick when it's not busy might have to wait when staff rush off there feet servicing food and servicing drinks you may have to wait a little 👍

Sensible food at sensible prices. They were happy not to have all the salad and garnish with the burgers and sandwich. Even replaced the salad with chips. Always good 👍 And no bagpiper like the pub just down the road. That's just cruelty forcing people to listen to that screeching indoors

Nous avons réservé pour 20h30 et en arrivant nous avons été stressés par les serveuses car les cuisines "fermaient"... pas le temps de commander et de finir nos assiettes... Nous avons commandé 2 chickens wings avec 2 sauces différentes mais avons reçu les 2 mêmes... pas de choix de bières. Nous ne sommes pas restés pour la suite de la soirée

I were here 5 times in last two years. Nice atmosphere. I ordered: - Grilled cheese toastie - Pretzel with beer cheese - Houmous & flatbread - Macaroni cheese with salad - Onion rings - Sweet potato fries - Coffee latte. - Black tea with fresh milk. Grilled cheese toastie very tasty. Filing with 3 cheese on crisp sourdough yummy. Salad served with toastie have too much vinegar. Not possible eat for me. Macaroni cheese was tasty but salad serv together it is the same salad like with grilled cheese toastie. German style pretzel interesting taste, but not for me. Houmous & flatbread too spicy and flatbread too burnt in places. Onion rings, sweet potato fries, coffee latte and black tea with milk were tasty. From me 4 stars. Thank you.

Very good value for money and quick efficient service . And the food was good. Can't ask for anything else.

The atmosphere is more on sport bar than sit and eat. When we arrived they gave us the menu and walked away without mentioning that we need to order at the bar, we waited around 10 minutes then to find out we need to order at the bar. Was was ok.

Had a couple of pints, the Katsu chicken burger and sticky toffee pudding. Nice staff and food was really really nice. Definitely recommend

Couldn't fault it! Visited from Edinburgh on Friday. Stayed for some Grub, watched the game, drinks were well priced, food was class and staff were sound. What more do you need. Cheers guys 🤘🏻

Great choice of food and beverage.

Um pub escocês com ambientação agradável e moderna e com pratos bem servidos com preço bacana. Provei o fish and chips (haddock and chips), que veio rápido. Um baita pedaço de peixe com fritas bem suculentas também. Vale a pena conferir.

Ok to visit for a quick bite to eat and a drink however it is over priced for what it is. With it being a chain pub this is to be expected. The burgers are disappointing and the beer selection is poor.

Nice surprise on a Monday in October. Great service and staff was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed Monday night trivia with a fun crowd! Food was generous portions and tasty.

Durchschnittlicher Pub mit allem was dazugehört. Die Auswahl an Getränken ist gut, das Personal nett aber zurückhaltend. Sie haben auch eigenes Bier namens „Level Head“. Das IPA davon hat mir persönlich gut geschmeckt. Preislich ähnlich wie bei anderen Pubs.

First time in Inverness both Cara and tray ( her brother) both went above and beyond for welcome and service. Limited menu but excellent food. If I'm ever in Inverness again will def go back

Went to the bar here on vacation stop through Inverness and had the absolute best time! Emma and James were working and were both so friendly and attentive to our needs. They made us super delicious drinks and gave really good recommendations for other places to check out in the area. My friend and I ended up staying here for quite a while because of the 10/10 experience. 🙌🏼

Pretty quiet when we were in at 5pm on a Friday. Needs a good clean as seating all stained. No atmosphere or personality. We went back in on the Saturday to watch the old firm game the place was packed. Great atmosphere the staff were working really hard and we got served quickly. The place calmed down at half time as some of the supporters left as their team was getting beat. We had a light meal it was really nice.

Was here in April with my partner to watch the football was awesome , was back this weekend to watch the football again this weekend once again staff were amazing and attentive even gave out free pies, amazing atmosphere with a good pub menu, definitely my favourite pub in Inverness

Food was good when it eventually arrived. Pub almost empty but waited over 1h for food as apparently our order didn't reach the kitchen! Got a free drink, but would rather get the food sooner.

Been coming here for a few years, usually for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Staff always friendly, food always consistently good. Many thanks to Jackie and Jackie today for looking after us. See you again next week.

Large pub in the centre. We shared Favourites Platter and it was enough food for 2. Big variety of beers, nice staff (Jackie).

Really short staffed, so wait times were quite long. Food was good though. Got charged twice on the app when ordering drinks, but staff were that frazzled, I let it go.

Pub al centre d'Inverness. Varietat de begudes i carta a bons preus. El personal molt amable. Hi ha moltes pantalles per veure esports que interessen a la població escocesa.

Food was good, but they didn’t have half of the things on the menu. Once we ordered something that they did have, we received it without the side. When asked about it they simply told us they ran out of it but didn’t offer an alternative option. When we ordered a different side we were charged the full additional price.
