Lovely staff, had late night drinks here. Live music good place to let your hair down. Also visited Sunday early evening staff again great and a nice vibe

I had the salmon crostini which was one of the best starters I've had. The Nessie burger was very nice too although the bun did not seem to be toasted and it was soggy on a small part of the edge. The chips were fantastic.

Typical Scottish pub along the River Ness which offers excellent food, in my opinion one of the best also for quality/price ratio, served by friendly and welcoming staff. Highly recommended.

Had drinks here and loved the atmosphere and service! Alcohol is quite reasonably priced and you get a generous serving size. We were lucky enough to get a table, however, if you want a table for a group, I suggest coming early

We were looking forward to the experience here with what we read online , but unfortunately it was really disappointing. I’d recommend calling ahead to see if the kitchen is open, as while the kitchen website says 2am, the kitchen closed shortly before 9pm. Which I can understand because there wasn’t much of a crowd. But might have changed our plans so not to be so rushed. The food was mediocre at best. The waitress seemed annoyed with us, thinking about what we wanted to eat. Next, I had ordered the risotto, and it really didn’t taste good, something was off. When she came by to ask how the dinner was, I mentioned it didn’t seem so fresh, and she was defensive. And when she returned to tell me that the chef, manager and her all tasted the meal and said it was delicious, and seemed bothered. She did remove the meal from the bill, but was short and curt to tell me the kitchen was closed. I wasn’t intending to order anything else, but her attitude was just unnecessary. She didn’t stop by our table anymore and send who I am assume was the manager, who was delightful, to close out our bill. We only had one night here in Iverson and were excited to try a local eatery. I wished we he’d gone somewhere else. Live music doesn’t start until 9:30, we didn’t feel welcome so we headed out.

Ate here on probably the busiest night in December. Staff welcoming and food great. Genuinely dog friendly.

In a group and in need of decent food while socialising then Johnny Foxes is great. Everyone starts, ends up here and it's pretty decent. Food was surprisingly good and decent portions. Table service made eating and drinking too easy

The best nightclub from Inverness!

We went here on a Sunday, and it was pleasantly quiet. Service was quick and very pleasant.

Really nice place. The food was delicious, (though I had only the soup of the day tbh). Then I asked a Whisky, it was the first time I tried the water of life hehe. I loved their Whisky menu with the map of the five regions of distilleries in Scotland. I chose Loch Lomond 12yo, really good.

Having been in Inverness many times and visited lots of pubs and always loved them. Tonight we ventured here for the first time and were met with extremely rude staff. Actually I am in disbelief as to how rude they were. Never experienced anything like it. And yes i have to admit I was rude in return but I was fuming . Avoid! Loads of better and more friendly places. Having just had the reply I expected from you I would urge you to take some time to read more negative reviews and you will see most are about rude staff. Zero people skills. Your staff member caused the whole situation with her manner which wasn't necessary.

We didn't eat hence the fact I didn't rate the food! Atmosphere was fabulous especially for a Thursday evening!

Lovely pub meal at Johnny Foxes. We shared the mussels as a starter which was a giant portion and very delicious with sweet chilli and cream. Would highly recommend visiting.

Beth was an amazing waitress definitely want to come again! I ordered the chicken ceaser salad and it was beautiful crunchy lettuce with a beautiful sauce over...to die for! If you come here definitely ask for beth, she's the sweetest funniest waitress I've ever had!! Love this place 100% recommend.

We were only here during pub times and didn't eat anything, very nice atmosphere and every evening there is a program from 9:30 p.m. For us this was karaoke on the first day and live music on the second day, both very good and very organized. Is worth a visit!

It's a pub and as such we can't be surprised because the food wasn't of high quality. The pub has a typical pub atomosphere and for those who like it, like me, it's fantastic. The food is average and the service is very friendly and functional. It is not an extraordinary or refined dinner; But it is a place where you can socialize, have fun and eat at the same time.

Johny Foxes, Inverness, yes, excellent! I recently had the pleasure of dining at this Irish Pub, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The service was exceptional, with the hostess, bartender, waiter, and waitress all working seamlessly together as a team. It felt like they genuinely enjoyed creating a great experience for their guests. The food was delicious, with authentic flavors and generous portions that really hit the spot. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, exactly what you’d hope for in a traditional Irish pub, and the cleanliness of the space added to the comfort. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for great food, drinks, and friendly service. I will definitely be returning!

Although the place was very busy the staff went out of their way to find us a seat whilst we waited for a table (they even brought chairs out from a back room) The food was excellent and the service continued to be of the highest quality and friendliness throughout the evening.

Typical Scottish pub on the banks of the Ness. Great selection of beers and whiskies. The typical food is also very good, generous portions and prices adequate for both quality and quantity.

We were so lucky to find this on our first night in Inverness. Busy Saturday night but they squeezed us in and great food and great staff and service. The next night we looked around for something better! Couldn’t find it so came back to Johnny Foxes! Don’t fix what ain’t broke! I’d go again and again etc🤣

Great restaurant/bar with friendly waiters and very tasty food. The food came very quickly. Service was great. Prices are even cheaper than in Germany. Plus the great location. Clear recommendation!

Good steak n kidney pie with pastry

We got a tip from an American to try the Haggis & Neep Spring Rolls here. So, we went there for dinner. Almost all the tables were reserved, but the waiter, who greeted us very kindly, showed us to a table. The pub offers a good selection of various dishes, so everyone should find something they like. The waitstaff do their job cheerfully, and our drinks and food arrived quickly. The food is delicious; the recommended Spring Rolls and the "Foxes Steak & Guinness Pie" and "Foxes Chilli Burger" were top-notch. The atmosphere is cozy, even though the place is quite large and quickly filled up during our meal. Overall, highly recommended, for a good meal and a beer.

I can’t rate on food as I didn’t actually eat there, but as a visitor to Inverness over two weeks I kept finding myself coming back to Johnnys. The staff there are incredible, especially the doormen. Karaoke on Wednesdays was a blast. Next time I’m across the pond, I’m definitely stopping back in.

Now, one thing - there was a £2.50 charge to split a tiny little £7.50 slice of cheesecake which we were not made aware of and I happened to see on our bill. We'd already had a drink each waiting to be seated, starters and mains - I don't find it particularly appropriate to eke out an additional £2.50 from us if you're not even making the portion a bit bigger just because I wanted a bite of my partner's cheesecake. Doesn't cost £2.50 to wash a spoon. At the very least it would be kind to make folks aware they'll be charged. I won't knock down the rating for £2.50, though. The food was incredible and so was the service of both our hostess and our bartender. No complaints about wait staff either, they were run off their feet. Thanks for a great experience, and hope the feedback is helpful. Edit: we've been informed a split is a drink (essentially)! It's great to have this clarity, but as I recall having settled our drinks at the bar I believe this may have been added mistakenly, leading to our assumption that it was from splitting the dessert. We entered this place by chance, but as soon as we entered we were immediately won over by the good atmosphere. We were well received, and always well attended to by the Staff, who were 5*. Food was tasty, well prepared. We ate the Aberdeen Burger with Angus, drank a local beer and also ordered one of the children's menus, the chicken one. All very good. To finish, we ordered an espresso... And here was the only negative point. It looked like coffee from a coffee maker. But other than that, everything else was worth it.

So far only enjoyed beer outside. Cozy. Good mood.

Visited this bar many times when in Inverness. Always lively and good fun BUT huge negative here. The Zero tolerance drugs policy is a complete and utter joke. We were in on a Sunday evening and the male toilets was not a nice experience. Said to a bouncer about what was going on and off he went but how this wasn't noticed before hand is inexplicable the only reason can be that it was deliberately being ignored. Felt intimidated in the toilets and promptly left after speaking to bouncer. Shame as this really is a good bar but so much more needs done to make customers feel safe and comfortable.

This was my 3rd time visiting here in the last 3 years in a row, food never fails, reasonably priced, staff friendly and would you look at the picture, this is the road out of where I live! Ireland I adore Scotland .. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I had such a wonderful time eating at this pub while on vacation to the Scotland. The food was good and the selection of beer was local favorites. The services was friendly and timely, I would definitely visit Johnny Foxes again.

We had to wait some 30 minutes to be seated, but it was worth it. I liked the Cullen Skink.

Inviting happy ambiance from the first hello to the last! The staff is stellar. We engaged with 3 different servers and all were fun. The food and drink excellent. Genuine customer service! We'll be back.

Very generous portions, even from the kids' menu. Lovely and accommodating staff.

This is a popular place. Has both inside and outside seating. So outside was nice and relaxed to sip on beers. But even munching snacks and finger food wasn’t allowed in outside sitting. This server lady was rude, not just once but twice. She could have talked politely too but she was very arrogant in answering. We wanted to have dinner but because of her, we chose not to. It just feels overall in Scotland hospitality is not the first priority in restaurant business.

Dissapointed with the service, guy who served us didn't smile or look engaging at all. He was interested in speaking with other bar members. I think he was having a bad day. Not very welcoming or friendly. Outside staff, door men were really friendly and polite.

Several locals in Inverness told us that we could not leave the town without trying Johnny Foxes, so we made sure to pick a time to go there, which turned out to be mid-afternoon. They were fairly busy, but still had available tables, and we were seated right away. I tried a pint of Innis and Gunn, and for starters we ordered the Haggis and Neep spring rolls and the West Coast Mussels. Both of these were excellent and the perfect way to start the meal. For our main course we tried the Nessie Burger, the Potato Gnocchi, a Margherita pizza, and the Foxes Steak and Guinness Pie. We didn't have to wait very long for our food. Every dish was superb, with the steak pie a true standout. Our server checked on us frequently throughout the meal, and other servers also would occasionally ask if we needed anything; it was some of the best service we'd had on our entire trip. The atmosphere of the pub was charming and classic, the staff friendly and helpful, and the view /location excellent. I agree with the locals, this is a must visit location for any trip to Inverness.

A touch of the States in downtown Inverness.

My family and our dog popped in here for a late lunch. Everyone commented on how much they loved their meals and the staff were really friendly. A member of staff also gave our dog a bowl of water and a treat to keep her happy which was much appreciated.

This large great pub has free live music most nights at 2230 until 0130 and there are plenty of staff providing great fast service and are very friendly as too are the locals,there is a great atmosphere with plenty of people dancing and having a great time,highly recommended.

Sticky floors, open “late” .. a lot of very intoxicated walks of life. Keep in mind I was there an hour before close.. I got what I came for which was some “late” drinks and some people watching.
