Monboddo is a good go-to restaurant while staying at the Doubtree Hilton in Edinburgh. Although I would not have chosen to dine there as many times if I weren't a hotel guest. Location and availability were a great convenience while traveling. The breakfast buffet is extensive, offering the main staples of a hearty Scottish breakfast. I highly encourage patrons to order off the special menu for fresh eggs made to order. The extra few minutes are worth the wait. Dinner there on my first night was good, but nothing extraordinary. The service was pleasant and welcoming. The atmosphere and decor are higher end. In minor detail, there is no place to keep your handbag if you are seated in the central dining area other than your lap or the floor. The round back chairs are not accommodating, so ask for a side booth. The side bar area close by is a very nice area to stay if you are waiting for a table. Overall, it was a fine place to dine during my stay in Scotland.

Not impressed with the food at all! The loo fajitas I ordered were burnt black. The chicken that came with the Maryland was dry. Definitely not going back … A waste of money. The waiting staff were nice.

Fab filled rolls and homemade cakes. Sausages, bacon, etc. all sourced from local butcher, which is a huge plus in my book.

Almost 5 pounds for a cappuccino for which no order has been taken at first, for which you then have to wait more than 20 minutes, with a spoon and sugar missing and, as a highlight, a 10% service fee appears on the bill? As beautiful as it is in Gleneagles - unfortunately we didn't like it at all...

Great food great hospitality and a good live band at weekends

Great doner wrap, full of tasty meat, salad and a variety of sauces to choose from. The wraps were huge and certainly filled us up. There is seating inside also. The takeaway menu is very extensive, burgers, pizzas the lot! Good place to eat it you want tasty food quickly.

was a great nite till some guy thought he could assault my wife. the bouncers protected him. then when i demanded a managers name gave random name david. so i will be contactin the police as the security protected their own as per. felt discriminated against for bein a lesbian

We had the best meal ever at The Taybank in Dunkeld. After having terrible service at another place in town where we ended up leaving, we made it to the taybank just before the restaurant closed and they were great about fitting us in for dinner. Excellent service. Excellent food! Can’t wait to go back!

Muy cálida bienvenida a la llegada Encantadora joven me mostró mi habitación, aunque es un poco pequeña pero bien para un pub encantador Gran ambiente Gran selección cervezas encantadoras La cena fue de primera clase servida en el animado bar, que era muy divertido. Recomendaría a fondo tanto para comer como para alojarse , todos los precios muy razonables. . Debe permanecer todo el personal simplemente brillante Sin duda me alojaré allí de nuevo.

Chips reheated and fish batter was chewy . Whats with the plastic cups ?? £3 for a can of diet coke ...wont be back .Glasgow shop is far superior

I ordered a burger, and was told that they were unable to add cheese, sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, or anything else. I was served a thin, crispy, dry, and overly cooked burger patty between a bun, all for the affordable price of 14£. Absolutely the worst quality of food that I’ve received at that price point. There was no salt, and little flavor to the burger. The fries which accompanied it were fine, but the coleslaw was perhaps the worst part of the whole meal. It was served with warm, almost hot mayonnaise, and tasted as if one or more of the ingredients had gone bad prior to serving. I found it unedible after one bite.
