Meal was a bit late in coming due to staff shortages. Otherwise great service lovely meal and fair price

Had a fantastic meal at the sandeman when we went through to meet up with some old friends to watch the Scotland rugby game the other week . Burgers were fantastic and great value for money with the drink deal. Plenty TVs and sound on was nice. Don’t get that everywhere these days! Ended up staying and enjoying the DJs as it was a Saturday night, had a wee boogie and the place looks brilliant after they’ve done it up a little. Staff were friendly and fast despite it being so busy can’t fault them at all. Will be back next time we’re in Perth. Big thanks to Chris and the team, had a blast!

Good deals on drink and lunches

Fantastic service from Jamie. She suggested down loading there app mixr. Got some free drinks with app. Food was hot and tasty, great value for money and kids menu had a great selection. Would definitely recommend.

Cocktails Specials at 50% everydayyyy, yes! Cocktails were smashing and the alcohol to mix ratio was spot on. We ordered sides, although the scampi's were excellent, there was some room for improvement with their haggis bon-bons and cheesy chicken chorizo bites. The mains were a huge let down - My partner had a bacon and cheese burger, the patty was burnt which gave an awful after taste. I had a mix grill and was heavy disappointed in the chicken being dry and the steak being burnt on the outside and still raw in the inside. Well, I will give them another try sometimes. Hopefully second's time's a luck.

Silvia was an absolute delight!! Credit to the team. she was fast and kind and she was always moving about cleaning tables or serving customers !

Nice place very busy Saturday afternoon

My memory of this place for lunch was that it had great pub grub. Today however was absolute shambles. We were told it would be a 20-30min wait but ended up being 45-50. Then the food came out and I had ordered a burger. It was burnt. As in almost charcoal. My stepdad ordered scampi and on his plate had already squeezed lemon. A used lemon!? We asked what the issue was and were told that because they are taking takeaway orders with one chef on shift, that takes priority, which leaves little to no care for the food served in house. Stay away during lunch hours. It's dreadful in my opinion.

Was the worst scampi, all day breakfast and BBQ Mac burger that I have ever seen. Every item was over cooked. They even gave me a used lemon for my scampi. Really have gone down hill since our last visit

Food was good but unfortunately for us it's a football pub so didn't like that bit of the time there .

Got some food for me and my kids with a few beers, bar staff were really nice, Niamh and Connor were really helpful and they made me feel welcome. There are loads of options for adults and children and it has a great family atmosphere. I also enjoy visiting for live sport. Overall, great visit and I look forward to visiting again.

Me and my group of bingo gals were here for Boxing Day and Hogmanay. The staff couldn’t have been nicer and even though it was busy they helped us as much as they could to give us a memorable experience. For food we all had items from the Christmas menu. The crispy prawns were definitely a hit. Great atmosphere and the gals were very pleased with everything. Definitely will be back. Thanks guys!

Dirty ! Dirty table, menus, cup, teapot, milk jug, seats, floor, window area......

We had 2 chicken wraps, which came out luke warm and a "few" chips. The staff were too busy entertaining each other while waiting to be served, and the atmosphere was dreadful. It's such a shame as the last time I was at the Sandeman was a few years ago, it was always a cracking pub, decent food, and drink, but also it was mobbed. I know it was Christmas Eve when we went, but I was still so surprised at how quiet it was.

The space caters for small groups of people to larger groups of friends, whether you want to talk or watch a game. The staff are accommodating.

Lovely staff and a first class chef ! Scampi peas and chips plus a small pot of tartare sauce and a slice of lemon ! All served with a smile ! A couple of medium glassed of very drinkable house white wine and total cost was £24 20 p ! Value for money and in a very warm cosy atmosphere !

Went for a quick lunch expecting the usual pub offerings you get in these places. Food we got was either luke warm, watery, covered in bbq sauce or Carolina reaper sauce or just plain inedible. Small portions too. Staff were friendly enough, beer was fine but the food was just awful. Didn't have too high expectations at this price point but what came out the kitchen was very poor. There was a big bust up at another table with food and drink getting thrown about and arguments about one of that table threatening to kill one of the others. No fault of this place, but offered a bit of entertainment, felt bad for the staff that had to clean up the aftermath. The company need to look at the menu and sort out the kitchen. We won't be back.

Just had lunch here. Pub itself was lovely, great screens for watching sport, great service, friendly staff. I've never ate here before today and opted for the steak pie. Unfortunately the steak pie was awful! The pieces of stew were pieces of fat and gristle :-(

Visiting the area for a short break and found this pub by chance. Lovely staff (Niamh and Mark) and a great choice of drinks. The entrance area looked amazing, sort of Harry potter themed decorations for Halloween. Main bar area looked great as well. Had already eaten which was a shame because the menu sounded nice.

Great place for a few drinks, good atmosphere, friendly staff, good prices and great for live sport. Will be back again soon.

Went to Sandeman in July for a family meal for my husband's birthday, which was excellent. Tonight, we had dinner, which was ok. My burger was not bad but it was not very hot. My husband's all-day breakfast wasn't very nice. He said that it was burnt and overcooked. The service was not very good. A grumpy waitress slammed down the sauces and our plates of food and rushed off. We asked a younger waitress if she could wipe our sticky table. We never saw her again. The tables are sticky, and the seats are very stained and smell awful. We sat in booth number 45.

Visited pub late afternoon on Saturday. Pub was nearly empty. Drinks very expensive.

The food was good and service great. Not sandman’s fault to be fair but the people on the next table were swearing constantly and it was not what you want when out for a meal.

First the best bits. Bottle ofMerlot, the Lasagna and the sweet, these were excellent. Then the not so good, fish and chips were served on a very cold plate and the fish was only warm to start with although tasty. The chips were cheap frozen ones and not very tasty. Then the salad that was served with the lasagna was old and limp. We usually eat elsewhere because of the food not being of a good standard and only drink in in here as the drinks are always good along with the staff.

Dropped in for lunch after the dreaded back to school shop. We got burgers all round, super tasty and at a great price with the drink deal as well! To top it off they had Tennents on a deal at £2.85

Best place in Perth for honest fresh well priced dinner

Sandemans fine dining tasting menu paired with some delicious wines was the perfect evening for us. The food was delicious and the wine worked well. The only disappointing thing was that there were almost no interesting options for our guest who does not drink alcohol. The only offering was a 0% lager or the usual other soft drinks. We wanted to order a fabulous mocktail or interesting non-alcoholic pairing option from the menu. This was not possible here but our delightful waiter did accept the feedback and thought it would be a great idea to have something interesting for the non-alcohol-drinker or indeed the appointed driver. The restaurants decoration was lovely and the atmosphere special. The toilets could definately be upgraded - they don't reflect the style or standard of the restaurant. Toilet seat hanging off in one of the two cubicles too. However, it was a very special evening which we all enjoyed and look forward to returning and experiencing the upgrades which will ensure things only get better from an already great position.

Nice enough place,the booths in the back could do with a good clean and the carpet is really sticky.The staff however are very friendly and welcoming.Come and have a wee look in.

Just home from fab weekend in Perth. We came to the Sandeman on first night and staff couldn't have been any friendlier. We were made to feel so welcome was great atmosphere and prices very reasonable for drinks and food. Ate breakfast here both mornings. there was a large group of us, and they sure had plenty of space for us. It was quick service and very well priced. We also had evening meal here on the Saturday, we had few tables reserved as the pub was very busy for the football, atmosphere was amazing during the Scotland game, and the service was fantastic, everyone enjoyed their meal. We stayed for a few hours until after the DJ arrived. Music was very good and enjoyed a little boogie! We enjoyed Perth that much, that we are booking again in a few months time, we will definitely be revisiting the Sandeman again! Thanks for making our weekend so great.

God-awful massive chain pub, the likes of which are frequented by under-age youths and old men. Nothing interesting on the beer selection. Try an independent pub instead. Please.

My partner and I came here for Lunch on Wednesday. We thoroughly enjoyed it! Food was extremely tasty, we both had the burgers - katsu and the burning hot. They came out nice and quick. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. We got a good laugh with the older ginger guy as well. Think he was the boss. The place itself is very big bright and spacious and looks like it would be a great place to come at the weekends. Very family friendly. Will recommend to our friends and family. You will be sure to see us again! Thanks

Visited for dinner last night and a spot of Football. This is a great place for sport, so many big screens through the pub. Great atmosphere in the place. You can tell it is a great place to come at the weekend as well. Lot of things to offer for a variety of different people and groups. We had the hot burger and also the Fish and chips, both very hot and tasty! The burning hot burger is one for spice lovers for sure. A great range of drink on the bar to choose from and the staff are great as well Highly recommend popping in!

Was in for lunch on Saturday with some friends. We had a great meal, the staff are great, so friendly and very helpful. They have a a great menu and even a pool table to kill some time!

Friendly local good cheap meals for two

Visited last night for some dinner and drinks with friends. What a great place! Massive space, caters for everyone. The staff are extremely friendly great service, very attentive and you get a good laugh from them. A very warm welcome from them from the minute you enter. It is also great for sport with all the big screens and tvs around the place. Food is tasty and fairly priced and they have a huge selection of drinks. Will be back!

It's ok if you want to watch football!! Vast screens. Staff seem really unhappy to serve you and the place needs a damn good clean. We had a quick drink and moved on swiftly.

Mid week visit to a chain pub ... Much as you'd expect ... Friendly, pleasant staff ... Poor lunch, tepid chips and onion rings, cold steak ... Meh

Such a shame. Place has no soul or personality to it... I also think the price list might need a wee review, ordered a bottle of beer which I was told is 4.20 when I asked how much a pint was it was 3.80! How this makes sense is beyond me just a shame. Staff seem confused also.... At least the f1 is on (that is the extra star)

Not sure what this pub is. It's not a Wetherspoons but not good. Didn't have the wine we wanted even though it was on wine list and the actual bar was very very sticky. Kinda downmarket Wetherspoons

Love the Sandeman, the team are fantastic always so welcoming and friendly when I visit. The menu offers a great variety and is very reasonably priced and is always top notch. We mainly visit for the sport and with plenty of screens to view it creates a great atmosphere during big games. Very good range of drinks available also.

We ate here on the evening of March 15th as it was close to our hotel and we'd visited here on a previous visit to Perth but were disappointed this time. Service was OK but the food was served on cold plates with the result that by the time it was delivered to us it was barely lukewarm. This to me is not acceptable, in fact I would go as far as to say that it is my pet hate. Will we return? Doubtful.

The Sandeman in Perth is just brilliant. The food and drinks along with being excellent & a great range is also great value for money. The team are always super friendly and accommodating. There’s plenty of TVs to watch all the sports and the DJs at the weekend are excellent!

Visited with a large BB Company (nearly 60) from Dundee and was so impressed with the efficiency service and quality of food. Mark and his Team did a brilliant job . Well done to all concerned . We will be back .

Sandeman is a very good place in Perth to chill, have a pint and some food. Staff are always helpful and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Everything is done to a high standard and I would recommend that if you are in Perth city centre that you visit the Sandeman for a quality time!

I am an occasional/ regular visitor to the Sandeman Pub in Perth, now my home town. Mostly to just sit down, catch my breath and relax for a short while. I was fascinated to discover that the Sandeman in the Pub name is the Sandeman of Port Wine and Sherry fame and that the magnificent building was once the Sandeman family home. Although I only usually have light refreshments, the Pub has a wide rage of beers ales and liquor and a fantastic menu, which seems to be very much enjoyed. My experience is that Sandeman Pub it is very well run, clean and a really family friendly place to visit, warm and spacious. There are some pool tables and big match screens on occasions. The bar staff ( I know of only a few) - Niamh, Connor and Sam - are terrific, friendly and very helpful. I really look forward to a visit.

Not as good as it used to be, upholstery very grubby,the staff didn't look much better. There were ants crawling around the radiator,food wasn't very hot, so probably won't be back.

I visited with my family and it was a great place for lunch. The food is reasonably priced and the family area is spacious with plenty of tables for different group sizes. The staff were helpful and they gave great service.

Huge: huge place, huge selection, huge TVs! Nothing fancy but did the job.

Was in for lunch 19.1.2023. First time for a while and the place is looking really run down. Upholstery all stained and dirty, everything covered in dust and food mediocre to say the least. Won't be back.

Was a phenomenal experience coming in here for the football, the service was great and I was looked after well by all the staff, Sam, Mark, Lesley and Niamh were all fantastic. I can't wait to come back here for the cup final!

It a very wonderful bar/pop in the heart of Perth to hang out with friends and family. Live game on a very big screen 🙂.

My wife and I have used this establishment on quite a few occasions and we're only sorry for not mentioning before now, however, we'd recommend Sandemans to anyone looking for value for money, and especially for a warm welcome from the staff there. In particular, we'd like to say a huge thank you to Amber, as she made us feel so comfortable and at ease with her professional attitude towards us. 10/10.
