Expensive for what you get. Two small pieces of haddock in a terrible batter. Chips were ok. Patrick's steak pie was nice though. £51 for Twin Fish and chips, Steak Pie and chips, a single and a half sausage, a kids ice cream, two teas and a Vimto !! Complained about the batter, but all they said was " you should have said something" - Well I am, and it's all lying there on the plate ! Not that they could have done anything, as I noticed that all the meals were coming out with the same brown stodgy batter ! Not even an offer to reduce the price ! Won't be rushing back. Don't you just hate it when they say " well nobody else has complained " !!!!!

Booked for 6 as part of our stay at The Torridon for a family celebration. The meals were average, at best. Certainly not what I expected. We did receive a partial refund on one of our rooms after complaints regarding the whole stay, service, and food, which was appreciated. You'll also see from my account that I usually only review good experiences, but this was hugely disappointing.

This was our second visit as part of a tour group. The Brasserie is located with the small number of independent retail outlets at Milton of Crathes, which is also the location of the Royal Deeside Railway. We visited for lunch, where dietary requirements were also easily catered for. The food was very good and the service friendly and efficient for the large party. The brasserie has a pleasant ambiance in keeping with the surroundings, and we would visit individually if in the area.

The sandwich was simple but nice enough. Tasty cheese and ham. The macaroni was awful. Cold sludge made from cheap ingredients. Possibly the worst I've had. The place itself is fine but they really need to review their catering. It could be so much better

Stayed at the premier inn for a couple of nights and used the brewers Fayre for dinner. On both occasions, I left without receiving the pudding which I ordered and paid for. The first night, I got a rude reply from the waitress after waiting half an hour after finishing the main, only to get a rude reply. The second night, I asked for the pudding to be provided at the same time as the main, it didn’t arrive, asked a waiter and nothing happened, left after waiting a further thirty minutes. Don’t go here as you will not receive the items you have ordered and paid for.

Stayed here for one night, over the festive period, as part of a large group. Firstly, I'd like to say that the staff were exceptional. Through the whole process - from booking to breakfast - the team were super helpful, accomodating, and friendly. The food: I felt this was incredibly expensive. Although delicious, the portion sizes were quite small, and so I didn't really feel it was good value for money. I also felt that the vegetables (sprouts, carrots) were a bit undercooked. However, a plus side was that they provided extra sides, shared out between the tables (Yorkshire puddings, gravy, veg etc). The room: I felt the rooms were pleasant and comfortable. They could maybe do with modernising, but they had everything we needed, and so we were pleased. The downside to the rooms was that the noise from the corridor was very loud. Whenever someone walked past, the entire floor would shake, which in turn shook the bed. The noise and the vibrations woke me maybe half a dozen times during the night, which wasn't ideal. Breakfast: A lovely choice available, from the standard continental options (cereal, fruit, yoghurt), to cooked options. The service felt a bit chaotic, but I guess that's to be expected when things are very busy. But the staff were still super helpful and lovely.

Our family stopped going to Palominos few years ago as food was bland and tasteless and very very pricey. However was asked along to have a family dinner, no change, food was awful, nothing sticky about the sticky beef and was so bland tasteless and was really overpriced, service was slow. Lovely setting but this is really all it has going for it. Poor version of Wutherspoons.
