McDonald's Bakers in Glasgow City

Bacon roll & a coffee. Fair enough prices. Did its job. Quick service. Lots of takeaway customers in & out during our short sit down.

Not all food is suitable for muslims , we ordered cream donuts beacuse they are suitable for vegetarians . Also , hot chocolate was light but the staff were nice.

I have tried this bakery a few times now . I cannot fault products. Potato scones are second to none . Strawberry tarts are yummy . My one grip with this place is the manager she shouts constantly her voice is ear splitting. She needs to treat the staff with more considerate she comes across aggressive and unapproachable. My sympathies for anyone who has to work with this woman.

Passed this place for years and decided to go in today and got a bacon roll and a yum yum. Loads of bacon on the roll and the best yum yum ever. Was in and out in seconds and staff were friendly!

Scotch pie, steak bake and roll and sausage were perfect, at a low price. Staff were really polite too. Please never change 🙏

Absolute terrible service from the “manager” was constantly shouting at all her staff. She clearly has an issue with non white staff. Even customers seen this and addressed her. She was shouting at a poor girl working there saying “what the hell did you do at Trongate”? Assuming she’s referring to there other branch. Fair enough seems to be short staffed? But no reason to be shouting at staff infront of customers. Poor management. Followed by said manager slamming plates around, huffing and puffing. This blonde lady has done this previously, however it more prominent today. Racial undertones for sure. This will be making its way the press and professional departments in due course. Also cross contamination of foods? What’s that all about. Tried to source head office details so this could Be discussed, but keep reaching union street branch. Manager needs to be sacked ASAP. Keep your head up to the rest of the team trying to make an honest living.

Chicken is not Halal. But you could vo either for Tuna sandwich or Chese sandwich.

food is the best but they handle it excessively. Tongs are only used for hot pies etc. They lift the cakes and buns with their hands then take money and clean up. .Not hygienic and very offputting. Use tongs for everything please.

Wouldn't sell me 4 rolls as they didn't have enough .."when i seen a full tray" ...was told they were waiting on some coming in ....its a bakers...bake them.

Their service was very speedy. The staff were about their business. The prices are amazing. Got a black coffee and the strawberry tart and both were very good. The coffee tasted like mackers coffee and very piping hot. The strawberry tart had a nice ripe strawberry on top. And the cream tasted like marshmellow fluff! The strawberry syrup has a unique and VERY delightful flavor on top… WILL GO BACK 10 out of 10.

Excellent baked goods. I had my first steak bake and it was incredible! The rest of the group raved about their sandwiches. We'll be back for sure.

Deeply unpleasant experience ordering breakfast. A female staff member was incredibly rude when I went to sit down saying I hadn't paid for that right. I replied calmy that I wasn't offered that option and she said I "hadn't asked". Bizarre as I would have had happily paid more, but I'm not psychic. Pastry was nice though, shame about the hostile customer service.

Went in today to sit in and eat. I asked for an egg roll and an extra egg. The lady behind the person who was serving made a gagging sound when she was given my order, I then sat down and waited for my food. When I received it there were egg shells in my eggs. Other customers got asked if they wanted sauce etc with their breakfast yet I was the only person they did not ask. I was suffering from really bad allergies and my eyes were swollen and red, so I had my hand over my eye and due to how bad it was I was unable to leave until it got a bit better. The lady came to me very rudely and told me I was not allowed to sleep. I told her I was not sleeping and that I was unwell. She argued back with me and then told me I had to leave because I had been there for too long. I had only been there for 30 minutes. Majority of the staff are racist. They do. It offer salt or pepper either. Most of the time the food is nice but the treatment toward non white customers is appalling

I have never been there. Our friend Andy brings us Scottish pies when he can pop into McDonald's bakers during work break. I am spanish and don't die for pies. Unless they are these ones. The best pies l have evere tried!!

A fairly short walk from either train station and worthwhile to pick up some goodies for a trip! And everything I bought was delicious! Lovely!

Sign outside says BREAKFAST. Told by english woman working we dont do breakfast and directed to go to wetherspoons. Even though there was a hot display of sausage/bacon/potatoe bread etc . But apparently that only goes in a bap ...is this not breakfast???? Found the same worker to be very unhelpful, loud and unprofessional. Needs to work on her hospitality skills

Overweight lady in black had a terrible attitude towards custormers, would give her 0 stars if i could. Bought my food and told them take away, but it was cold out and decided to sit in. I was then chased out by the lady wearing black. If the owner is reading this, please fire her, she has had a lot of complains

Popped in for coffee n cake with few friends and the cakes all looked amazing the ones we tried were delicious and coffee was nice too,amazing when was half of what we expected and def be back

I used to rate this cafe highly, but after visiting on the 21january i completely change my mind. I feel so sorry for the staff having to work with the very authoritarian manager. Shouted at my daughter and other customers for sitting down before we ordered. When we have always done this as have other customers. Ordering customers were to sit . I will never go to the cafe again and i would recommend other people don't. Shouting at people for coming in when there was no seats.

My mum and I come here every time we meet up in Glasgow for a catch-up, and the food is nice. Usually the staff are lovely too, however on our visit today this was not the case. The lady who I'm assuming is the manager as she was in a black top instead of the red like the rest of the staff was absolutely horrible. If I was writing a review about just her I'd give zero stars if possible. I was aggressively shouted out when I went to get a table while my mum queued with the lady saying I couldn't sit if I hadn't paid. This has never previously been an issue. While we waited she yelled at several other customers, even telling some of them exactly where to sit and what to do. She yelled at her staff too, demanding that they clean when they were in the middle of serving customers. The staff looked absolutely miserable, with not a single smile to be seen anywhere. I feel awful for them and am not at all surprised they've got vacancies posted in the window. Not once did I hear her be nice to anyone in my time there today, all she did was shout. Won't be coming back again as long as she works here, as it's an awfully tense atmosphere.

Fabulous bakers....roll was packed with bacon and good cuppa too. Lovely staff and very clean.

It's a good baker's for getting a sit in cup of tea and a roll and sausage or what ever you want and a cake. Staff are very helpful and stuff was worn it was cheap enough considering what shops charge nowadays.

Roll not sliced properly . Link sausages still joined to each other. No egg available as plate not turned on. Coffee was ok. Had better . Food tasted good though

I would give zero stars if I could. I am not one to write reviews but my experience in this filthy ‘cafe’ demanded it. Bought my food without being asked if I was staying then shouted at by a little overweight lady to come and pay more as I had the cheek to sit down to eat my rubbery sausage roll. Absolutely shocking food and customer service

I was going to go into cafe nero figured id give this place a try big mistake. The staff seemed more interested in chit chatting to each other rather than making you feel welcomed. I had zero expectations i didnt know what to expect so the bar was really low. looked for two seconds made a comment about how some pastries reminded me of my home country to get some chit chat going instead she said oh nice and carried on with her conversation as if i wasnt there.... had chosen the cream filled donut with strawberry jam and a coffee. Was handed in a take away format didnt think much of it when i sat down i was told that i had to pay extra for sitting in (didnt see on menu you would think thats important to let people know) but they would let me off this one time as it was my first experience. You may read this and think why one star, i ended up leaving literally less than a minute of sitting down i dont know how to explain but the staff seemed very uninterested and ive never felt so unwelcome because of it. Perhaps i was wrong for thinking that the atmosphere was supposed to be customer oriented and friendly the type that feels like home hence the reason i wanted to go here rather than nero instead i left extremely underwhelmed.

Delicious, fresh old-fashioned bakery. I enjoyed a ham salad roll and bought a box of cakes for a family visit later in the day.

Union Street, on any given morning and you need a roll and slice with tattie scone. (I'm one of those Weegie oddities that prefers links on their roll, but I'm advised the slice sausage is spot on) Can't fault it at all - unpretentious food and service for takeout and sit in. A hard ask in the middle of Glasgow these days. Morning rolls a they should be too.

OMG if you like Great coffee amazing pastries and great prices this is the place to come. First visit here as I’ve usually gone to weather-spoons whilst waiting for a train from Glasgow central. The food is lovely and there is a great selection of pies, pasties, filled rolls, full breakfast, and those lovely pastries. The staff are very friendly and the place is very clean. Will definitely eat here next time I’m in Glasgow.

Went in for juice and i couldnt understand the guy was really really rude towards me he was chewing gum in my face i felt angry you are supposed to satifisty customers not make them angry or sad

Pleasant, basic wee bakery with cafe. It is very busy but food while simple is well presented and the cafe and bathroom are clean. Hot pie was amazing coupled with a coffee and cake was perfect for lunch at a cost of £5 which is reasonable. Cakes are soooooo good 😊

Was told this place was good for morning hot rolls, drove a 30min journey just to walk in at 11am on a Saturday morning and be told all they had was........3 tattie scones🤣pathetic. Wont be back.

Just got Mugged in here!! £6.50 demanded of me from a Staff member who didn't even serve me (was shocked/caught off gaurd by the tone & paid) - My small order had stuff missing, suspect over charged or mistaken for another customer in line. solution: "that morning breakfast break of yours? Just Spend it running back round to the shop to get your order fixed" - me but I only get 30min to collect & eat my breakfast & surely someone should be watching the new girl instead of demanding money from customers she! Served.

This bakers here in Union St used to be really. Preferred it over the over one. But quality has took a dive recently. Short on stock, lots of regular stuff missing or stopped entirely. Maybe not getting enough people coming in.

Nice place very clean and the staff friendly but the shop appears to run out of eggs very quickly even at 10.30 am , however the square sausage is nice .

Peter at mcdonald’s govalhill was an amazing staff member and he did an amazing job at welcoming me and my friends in the shop he helped us a lot and he deserves a promotion. he made us feel happy and welcome.

Best bakers In Glasgow, no matter what time you go in the food is always hot. Plenty of filled rolls and cakes also. Great staff team always make you feel very welcome, accessible/disabled toilets also.

Union Street.Not very good at all.Asked what kind of soup they had and asked for lentil.Didn't realise until back to work it was veg, very bland and tastes like dish water.Cheese and onion bake must of been made hours ago like cardboard and never tasted very good.Wont be back and will be telling all my fellow rail colleagues to avoid

Este es un restaurante que mi mamá visita con regularidad y estaba bastante molesta porque siempre ha tenido una excelente comida y atención al cliente.¡Un servicio tan decepcionante y no volveremos! !La panadería McDonald's cree que debe verificar sus políticas de servicio al cliente.

Compré algo de comida y tarta de fresa para llevar. ¡Todo genial hasta que encontré un pelo largo en la crema de mi tarta de fresa! ¡Absolutamente asqueroso! ¡El cabello estaba mezclado con la crema! ¡Tampoco hay dónde quejarse, no hay páginas de redes sociales o una dirección de correo electrónico disponible en su sitio!

I mostly grab a chicken roll on my way to work and boy is it good. Quite a filling of chicken with some greens, onions and tomatoes. Worth the buck. Staffs are nice and friendly too. Dont know the other stuff but a 5 star from the rolls and friendly staff.

El café en sí es decente, pero la actitud de la directora es impactante, y les dice a las personas que no pueden sentarse en ciertas mesas porque se acaba de limpiar y que no quieren volver a hacerlo, y les dice a los clientes habituales que no pueden tomar tazas para llevar sentados porque el propio miembro del personal cometió el error de cobrar el precio de comida para llevar en lugar de pagar el precio, ¿qué tiene de malo pagar la diferencia? en lugar de eso, trata a los clientes como si estuvieran tratando de obtener uno rápido y dando el gran espectáculo 'soy el jefe'. Pésimo servicio
