Bon Accord in Glasgow City

The pub itself is really nice and the staff was very friendly. The food was also pretty good ( I had a chicken haggis), but it was a shame they didnt have the full menu selection at the time (no burgers and no breakfast). Overall, still highly enjoyable

I loved this place. Friendly atmosphere and the food was amazing. The steak pie and chips were the best Ive ever tasted (and I’ve tasted quite a few).

Came here with friends one night for dinner. I had the Haggis, Neeps and Tatties. It was excellent! Best Haggis I have had on this trip! Definitely come back here again if I come back to Glasgow!

Popped in after a lovely evening in Glasgow with friends The staff could not have been more accommodating as I have limited mobility. They made sure I was comfortable and even though I was not ordering food still gave table service. This is not something you get much of these days in bars and pubs. Felt like a proper old style pub with service to match. Highly recommend the red house wine as it was smooth and both bottles went down well. All the staff highly knowledgeable of everything they offer not just the whisky and very personable - making sure everyone in our party was catered for. A definite stop at the end of our next evening out in town

Absolutely love this bar. I went with friends for food & drinks before a show & it did not disappoint. From the minute we walked in, the staff could not have been nicer and more welcoming. The atmosphere was great & the food excellent. I would definitely recommend and will be back again soon. Thank you Bon Accord for a great night x

A really comfortable and relaxed place to spend time. It’s warm, welcoming, and has a laid-back feel. The staff are friendly and easy to talk to — they make you feel at home right away. The food is solid pub fare, done really well. No fuss, just good, tasty meals that are satisfying and well-cooked. Their whisky selection is huge and the bar staff are genuinely helpful when it comes to picking something out. Whether you know your stuff or not, they’re happy to guide you. Overall, it’s a proper pub with a good atmosphere, good food, and great whisky!

This place is a whisky lovers dream. Loads of choice and the staff know their stuff when it comes to whisky. The food portions are maaaaaaaaaaaaassive and real hearty quality pub grub. The Mac n cheese is to die for and the haggis bon bons and whisky sauce were just delicious. A real chilled and friendly bar and very reasonably priced for the city centre.

Warm welcome, fast service although fair quiet. Whisky I tried was at a 350% markup. Not sure if this is normal markup for them but seems a bit harsh for a pub that is known for their whiskey. Would go back but would be nice to have more transparent pricing.

What a place for whisky lovers. Such a big selection at every price range. Food was also very pleasant. Service was polite, fast and efficient. Will surely come again as soon as the opportunity comes.

What a great pub. Very busy and popular when we arrived on Friday night, with lots of tables reserved so I'd suggest planning your trip if there is a group of you. 9 Real Ale Handpumps and 1 cider. 7 of the Real Ales were on and all looked to be Scottish local beers. The two we had were lovely and in great condition. Friendly and good atmosphere, I could have stayed here all night

Huge whisky collection, lots of indie bottling. Great service and food.

Fantastic food! Super impressed with all the foods we tried including the chicken and basil pasta, chilli con carne, Cajun chicken and the desserts! Beer was great. Will definitely be coming back.

Este es un pub famoso por su whisky y hospitalidad. No está del todo en el centro de la ciudad y tiene una sensación de los lugareños. He comido allí un par de veces cuando trabajaba en Glasgow. El menú es tradicional pub, con una serie de elementos escoceses. He encontrado la combinación perfecta para mí, Haggis Bonbons servido con una salsa de whisky y Cullen Skink. Para aquellos que nunca lo han probado, esta última es una sopa de eglefino ahumado y papas que es tan buena como cualquier sopa. Yo diría que en realidad es mejor. Es sabroso y muy lleno. La comida es muy buena. El personal es bien informado y amable, incluso si el whisky no es su bebida (como yo). Tampoco se quedan con la cerveza, como demuestran los numerosos premios. Todas mis elecciones han sido puntuales. Es popular. Tuve que comer en un estante a lo largo de una pared en una visita. También alberga clubes de degustación de whisky que parecen muy populares. Volveré a comer allí en mi próxima visita!

I was in Glasgow with a few friends, to watch the best football club of Belgium (USG) loose against the worst club of Scotland (The Rangers). That said, my sadness went away, first when i had the pleasure of witness the kindness of the scottish people. And second when i stepped inside the Bon Accord Pub. The food was great, the Guiness on point and the staff amazing. I ate a fish and chips and went back the day after to eat a ribeye. I got to drink some whiskey recommend by the amazing Beth, and generally had a great time!

Weird sexist environment. Wouldn't recommend it if you're a woman on your own.

Everything was great! Thanks to Beth who welcomed us like kings. Extraordinarily kind and patient, she immediately knew how to put into words what everyone wanted. I only regret one thing, not having been able to spend more time there.

Went in for lunch and a pint. The welcome, service and food were great.

Teníamos 5 personas en nuestra fiesta y todo el mundo realmente disfrutó de nuestra comida. La sopa de guisantes y caza y el pastel de carne eran muy agradables. De hecho todos decían lo mismo de sus comidas. Queso, papas fritas y tocino, scampi y papas fritas, pollo chispeante y pollo cajún. Realmente recomendaría comer y beber aquí.

Realmente decepcionado, ya que hace un par de semanas vine a reservar una mesa para hoy (miércoles 18 de diciembre) y un miembro del personal encantador me dijo 'No necesitaba reservar una mesa y estaremos bien para entrar en el día'. 4 de nosotros aparecimos hoy y todas las mesas estaban reservadas, y fue el mismo hombre (no tan encantador esta vez) que me dijo que no necesitaba reservar que nos dijo 'Normalmente no tomamos reservas, pero es la época del año' la misma época del año que había preguntado sobre la reserva para? Tal vez una nota para el personal en el futuro, si es posible reservar una mesa, entonces deje que los clientes reserven, independientemente de cuáles serán sus futuras predicciones de disponibilidad de mesa. P. S. tuvo un almuerzo encantador en The Griffin a 5 minutos a pie

El mejor pub de Glasgow, sin concurso. Gran personal, excelentes cervezas y ambiente. Tuve una gran pinta y charlar con mi padre esta noche, lugar perfecto para ponerse al día.

IMHO this is generally the best bar for real ale in Glasgow. Consistently good service. Now has some fine malt whisky available off sales to augment it's on sales selection.

Food was excellent, service staff were attentive, polite, and very welcoming. I came for the cask ales, and ended up cancelling my dinner reservation elsewhere, as I was enjoying myself here, I decided to eat, and it was the correct decision.

Best pub in glasgow by a country mile great food (try the fish & chips more like whale and chips) for a first time visit always have a go at the soup and a steak pie deal trust me you will come back, one of if not the best selection of ales in glasgow well kept and always flowing!!! Whisky trust me they have you covered

Popped in for a quick pint. Stayed for another... and a meal! The chilli was tasty and very generous portions. We had a great time. The real ale selection is second to none in the area and all so very well kept. A true gem of a pub with a real locals feel that's equally welcoming for weary travellers.

Great wee bar with extensive whisky options

This is a world renowned whisky bar and you cannot come to Glasgow and not visit here if you love whisky. They also have delicious food. They have an app with all their whiskies so look it up, and when you are there they will give you an ipad to look through, too. This makes them the best whisky bar in my opinion because you can see the selection and the prices. They are friendly and knowledgeable and I love this place so much!

A great place altogether. Food was super, ales and whiskies fantastic but above all else, the staff were simply excellent.

Was told off strictly for having a great time and all laughing with friends visiting Scotland for "not being that kind of pub". We are happy to oblige and quiet the volume but rushing straight over made it feel like they were having a go rather than discussing with us. We understand being excited and loud but it came across as confrontational.

Famous bar ,near Mitchell Library. Extensive range of meals and drinks available, lots of seating , thought best to reserve if you want to spend some time in this establishment.

So I was a visitor to Glasgow and was taken here by a friend, although initially sceptical, (from the outside), as soon as you get inside it feels welcoming. But wow I had never seen a pub like it, and tbh I didn't know that many whiskeys existed in the world. Definitely worth a visit if you like Whiskey

Had an unscheduled stopover in Glasgow due to travel issues caused by storms. Fancied heading out for a bite to eat and a drink in the evening- pub came up recommended online. The good reviews were spot on as it's a lovely pub. The place looks great and historic, inside and out. Lots of cozy spots to sit and chill- my type of place. Everything was clean and well-kept, including the toilets. Quite a few customers were there for food and the meal I had was excellent (Cajun chicken and fries) and pretty good value. Staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. Pub is obviously known for its large whisky selection- it's pretty impressive and I sampled a few. There's a great selection to try for whisky lovers. Plenty of everything else too if you're not into whisky. Can't really criticise anything. It's a lovely pub, not far from major transport hubs, with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Also has football on TV. Staff are excellent, foods good and if you're into whisky, it's a dream. Recommended.
