We went to their Easter Friday Tapas evening and had a really tasty meal. Excellent food and excellent service. The restaurant had a really good buzz and the prices were reasonable. My only comment would be that Tapas is normally served with lots of small plates that you dip into. This place spread the plates out like a tasting menu for 3 hours, around 10 plates in all. As a result we got some delicious plates but equally many dishes needed accompaniments. We asked for bread to help us with a lone sausage we got on a plate and it helped massively. I am very rarely in this part of the world but would happily visit this place again next time I am. Top marks.

Very disappointed with our recent trip here, my friend and I decided to have the 2 courses from 8.99 offer. Which we’ve had it previously and the portion size & the actual meal seemed so much better. We had garlic mushrooms for starter & fish & chips for main course. The fish was tiny I don’t even think it would fill a child let alone an adult, I went home hungry. We also heard the table next to us complaining. Saying that you can’t fault the carvery, I’ll be sticking with that in the future.

This is one of the best restaurants in area. The food is absolutely fantastic, and plenty of it. Such high quality and everything is cooked to perfection. The staff are so friendly and attentive. Incredibly polite and make you feel welcome. This is a must visit and can’t wait to go back.

Had a quick stop for some dinner on the way home. As is Sunday a carvary was on the menu which seemed great. However, food was bland. The gravy is out on for you on the plate before you are allowed to put your vegetables on. I asked politely if I could have it on after my vegetables had been put on my plate and was swiftly told I could but would have to go to the back of the queue again! Why is it they can't offer small just of gravy if it's such an inconvenience to have him put it on after? To be honest it's like water with crumbs of meat in so not worth the drama anyway. I have eaten many carvery's in the local area and this is by far the worse i've had by far.

Two seniors on their way up to Scarborough saw the road sign and decided to stop off for a light lunch. The pub looked delightful from the small village road and our welcome was fine. We opted to lunch in the main bar, and service was slick , polite and the staff pleasantly dressed in their 'sort of' uniform. We only required a very light meal, but the menu provided was certaily full and many options were available. We opted for cheese on toast, with a salad garnish and chilli jam, plus a single portion of chips. The meal arrived in a short time and was very well presented, with the 'jam' cooked into the cheese. A very pleasant stop, and certainly a pub that we can recommend, although in our opinion the pricing at £23.00 for 2 x Rarebit is certainly on the full side !!
