My husband and myself were visiting bath for the Christmas market and were delighted we were going to be in Bath on the same day as old friends we hadn't seen for a few years due to covid and geography. We chose the grumpy baker due to reviews and were not disappointed. We were there for a good few hours and with cases as we were flying home straight after the lunch. No one objected or said we were in the way. We had coffee, toasted Panini's, then tea and delicious cakes. We had not met the children before and basically had a wonderful time in what felt like our living room. The café was busy, pleasant ,welcoming and the staff were always smiling and helpful. I can see why so many families go there. Clean and with lovely food reasonably priced. If I lived in Bath I would be a regular visitor. Merry Xmas to the very happy staff at the Grumpy Baker.

We stopped for coffee and a snack on a Wednesday luncthime - a spotlessly clean coffee house with all home made food served by a lovely chatty couple for whom nothing was too much trouble. A selection of interesting art on the walls from local artists that is rotated regularly. Definitely worth a visit if you want to get away from the bland mass produced product that our high streets are full of.

Had a fabulous lunch with friends for my birthday. What an ABSOLUTE hidden gem this place is! (I recommend that you save space for cake after lunch too, trust me, you'll be glad that you did!) They love dogs, and even have doggie sausages! There's a large outdoor area too. Thanks to all the staff there, they were wonderful. ... And thanks for my birthday candles too (you're never too old). Sue

Amazing breakfast in Market Harborough on the high street. Wonderful place with a view of the church. The smashed avocado on taste was really sumptuous and the coffee was amazing. Great service from a family run place.

Decoration Decorated simply which made for a relaxing experience. Location Situation on the main road in Ramsey which makes it easy to find . There is example parking opposite its location. Child Friendly Most definitely ,they made my grandkids feel most welcome by providing a toy box for them to pick a toy to play with . Food Good portion sizes and cooler and presented to a good standard . Will definitely pay it another visit next time I am in Ramsey Advice Make sure you order a cookie as they were very very nice to consume .

I went to the West End Brewery today and can confirm it is closed! in spite of all the news, rumours and articles I had read, I decided to give this place a last chance and guess what I found? a closed pub! Well done to Josh, Russ and Tina (and John) on running the best pub for miles and wishing you all the best for whatever the future brings!

Great family run business who pride themselves in what they serve. The food is exceptional we normally have the pancakes but decided on a change and ordered the Sackshuka spicy Indian breakfast. Wow….. Disabled access and child friendly. My sister and I highly recommend.

We popped in here for some hot drinks and cakes on a cold January day. I’m glad we did. The cakes were wonderful, and very generous portions. The hot drinks were excellent too. They also do a wide variety of sandwich fillings, which I will definitely try next time. This place is a just a few metres walk across the Grosvenor bridge, and is well worth seeking out as its a hidden gem.
