Mrs B's Kitchen Cafe in West Berkshire

After walking along the Canal on a hot day, my Wife and I from Kent needed refreshments. As if by magic an A Board appeared advertising Great Coffee. A hidden gem, coffee was excellent, food was excellent. Nice establishment, super staff.

Discovered this excellent cafe whilst waiting for a colleague delivering a car into the Vauxhal garage. Best cappucino, superb ciabatta bacon roll. Hope we deliver here again soon.

Absolutely sensational home-made food from quality ingedients that delights our visiting customers! As we are based fairly close to the cafe, Emma will deliver if she can, which is an absolute winner for us.

This little café is not that easy to find, almost hidden between car sales shops and garages. But once inside there is a lovely atmosphere and a great selection of snacks, cakes, salads and more. Staff are friendly and the music is muted so that it is possible to have a conversation. I would almost call this a hidden gem.

A short travel break along the wild bird strewn canal at Newbury lead us to Mrs B's. What a find, a very warm welcome by ALL with quick easy orders of food and drinks. We ordered different sandwiches and paninis, I really enjoyed my generous tandoori chicken on brown( scrumptious) but the nice part of our visit was Mrs B leaving her duties to have a little personal chat with us enquiring where we were from how our trip luckily took us to her establishment. Newbury's gain must be Canada's loss! You can guarantee in future when we travel across from Wales to England WE WILL make a stop off HERE. Good Luck Mrs B.

First class freshly prepared food to eat in or take away. Super quiches, salads and home made cakes. Nice atmosphere, should be right at the top of the best places in Nrwbury

Lived in Newbury for 6 months had car MOTd by One stop service and recommended Mrs Bs while we waited Expected greasy spoon but wha a surprise Eat in or out great decor and ambiance fab coffee and tasty breakfast penninis Lunch dishes and sweet options looked great too. So another lockdown... so good to see Mrs B’s open, albeit just on Friday lunchtime for takeaways, I ordered online & went to collect. Ate this evening, vegetarian pide & 2 salads (added some jacket potato) so tasty & fresh, nice change from a regular takeaway. Can also collect veg boxes & few other things & your Lonely Lentil orders & a delicious coffee

My family visited today and were enjoying lunch until we witnessed a very awkward moment! A lone customer, arriving after us, having a coffee was spoken to rudely by the owner. He had already been asked to move tables as a lunch booking took preference (table did not have ‘reserved’ on it and with current Covid restrictions other places I’ve visited have asked me to remain seated). The customer was polite and once settled at another table he sat quietly. After 20 minutes he was asked to move tables again but this customer didn’t want to sit at the table where he was sat. After another 10 minutes the lone customer was approached by the owner and told curtly he was insensitive, taking up a table with only a coffee, losing her lunch business, told he’d come at a very busy time and told to leave as he’d been there an hour and a half! He’d only been there about 45 minutes. It was unnecessary and embarrassing and the customer left as requested but was visibly upset. His table was not filled, no customers were waiting and there was another empty table available. Shocking rudeness which spoiled our lunch!

Found this lovley hidden gem while waiting for my car.They were about to close but didn't turn us away. Food was lovley and service was very friendly. We will defiantly be popping in again.

We visited for Mrs B's for a takeout lunch while working from home. There was a great choice of different lunch options, smoothies and cakes. The service was excellent and very friendly - a lovely break in our working day!

This cafe stands out from the rest! Such welcoming staff, airy surroundings, great music, the very best coffee and the most comforting food and cakes!! If you haven’t been there yet - try it. You won’t be disappointed :)

This café is located in a rather commercial and industrial-looking area. One of the warehouse-type buildings was the home to this café. Parking was extremely limited, so we had to park on a street just a little bit away. It was nice and roomy in the inside, with comfortable seats. Lots of greens everywhere making this large, open space to be more homey and welcoming. They offer a simple weekday breakfast, weekend brunches, light lunches and afternoon teas. The display all looked very appetizing. They also have a selection of coffee, tea, and other beverages. We got a Cappuccino and Flat White, they were pretty nice cups of coffee, strong with great aroma. For breakfast, we all went with Quiche. I took the last Tomato, Basil, Pecorino, and Mozzarella Quiche, and the other two went with Mushroom, Camembert, and Basil Quiche. The quiche was very tasty! Soft yet sturdy crust that crumbles in your mouth, with a soft and fluffy filling, being gently cuddled in there. The ingredients were all fresh and nice quality. We had a pleasant, peaceful, and relaxing breakfast here. The staffs were nice, and they will leave you alone unless you need something. The coffee and food were very tasty with good quality. And if you need any used coffee grounds for fertilizing your garden, health & beauty tricks, odor control, or whatever else you can use them for, they have them out by the door for you to grab!

We called in to this place as we were out and about , fancied a pit stop and we had read about the cafe in the local paper . We parked in the P & D opposite - £1 for 4 hours ( why cant it be that cheap elsewhere in Newbury WBCC ? ) |Well, what can i say - my wife the cake fiend was bowled over by the GF selection - several choices and not just the standard brownie and flapjack fare we normally get .She indulged in a peanut caramel thing and absolutely loved it . I had a coffee and a piece of quiche which was light and tasty . Our only slight issue was my wife's tea came in a mug ready brewed and was far too strong so next time we will ask for a cup of hot water and the bag so we can regulate the strength we will return !

Set on an unprepossessing industrial estate Mrs B's serves great food and excellent coffee at very reasonable prices. The atmosphere is friendly and service quick and efficient. The decor with wicker armchairs makes the large industrial unit feel surprisingly cosy and homely. Excellent.

I forgot to have breakfast, googled random place and here i was. Just as i would have made it, but with better coffee, better bread, and perfectly poached egg. Lovely staff and a beautiful place. Cannot recommend enough
