On a mini pub crawl Saturday night. This little micro brewery is situated in a side alley next to the masons Arms. Really nice atmosphere slightly more mature clientele with a juke box. Beer was good. Lovely staff. Will return

Amazing bar. Super friendly. It's a very small bar but has an amazing array of craft beers, Gins, and Vodkas. They also sell wine, etc. No food apart from crisps and nuts, because that's not what it is about. Really good music. A definite must visit, if you are in Louth

Great little micro pub near the indoor market. Brewing it’s own range of beers available for consumption on the premises in the cosy lounge area and also offered as take away. Lovely well kept and well crafted beers - highly recommended.

Excellent bar with great service and product. Micro brewing at its best. The beers change on a regular basis. Own guns and cider too. Also a great jukebox.

We arrived towards closing time…, unfortunately. A very friendly lady took our order, a few cocktails. I was even able to order my own creation, a Henry’s Dream (43, Whisky and Frangelico, on ice. Thank you very much. A nice atmosphere in the pub. We’ll be back.

Spoke to the lovely man on their market store as bought a gift pack and then went for a drink in the Consortium. My husband tried the three sample beers ( I thought was a great idea) I had the most delicious still strawberry cider which tasted like a melted strawberry ice lolly. Of course I had to buy a few bottles to take home with me!

This is little hidden away micro brewery sharing a cobbled yard with the Masons Hotel. Masons provide food for the hungry traveller but the beer all made by consortium brewery is spot on. I made a visit after speaking to the stall holder and owner at Louth Market selling his beer. Went for a pint of Louth Pale Ale and a very warm alfresco welcome and lovely lunch. Brilliant. Will definitely call again.

Our family of 9 managed to squeeze in this fantastic little bar before having dinner in town. We were made incredibly welcome and we were even invited to stand behind the bar for a family photo. It was a lovely gesture and we now have a great memento of our trip. Go easy on the homemade gin though. My head was spinning.

Maybe we visited the wrong week, the same beers were on seven days later which is worrying, They showcase there own continually changing beers which is ok, but the ones we tried were bland, the Louth Pale was at best bland and at worst dishwater, no body or depth of flavour, one thing I have noticed in louth none of the pubs seem to do many swaps, none of the big hitters were in evidence like Magic Rock, North Riding, Abbeydale to name but a few. The decor in Consortium was ok the staff welcoming but with a little more thought and better choice it could be one of the East Midlands great Micros, so come on up your game and they will come.

Came across this place by sheer chance and what a great little venue! Landlady was helpful and friendly, good choice of ales to quench your thirst. Enjoyed looking at all the other ales that have been made over the time the place has been open and will definitely visit her again next time we are in Louth.

We moved to Louth recently and went for a few drinks on a much needed baby free night. We happened upon the place whilst we were looking for somewhere else and we were glad we did. Paul served us who was great and was very helpful with choosing our drinks and showed my husband round the brewery too! My husband had the taster of 3 beers and particularly liked the ‘best’ and I had the very fruity raspberry ripple cider. Thanks again to Paul and we will defo be returning.

Friendly micropub tucked away in a courtyard in the attractive market town of Louth. My visit serendipitously coincided with their local beer festival. Good beers, some brewed on the premises, reasonably priced. Recommended.

Tiny, cosy and lovely little bar. Great selection of homebrewed ales. Staff are always friendly and welcoming although the landlady could do with working on her people skills a bit! Definitely recommend it though despite their use of single use plastic straws in todays awareness of this issue, hopefully they will become greener in the future

Called into the Consortium for a refreshing lunchtime drink whilst in Louth on a busy and very warm Wednesday market day. Great little place. Several interesting beers and ciders. We enjoyed the Gin and tonic cider and the Thundering Molly Cider plus one of the excellent draught beers. The welcome was friendly and we were given interesting info about the different drinks. Nuts with Humalayan salt (!) were good too! Will return for a longer session!

As claimed on their sign in the corn market the Consortium is a ‘Real Nice Place to be’. Recently revisited the consortium this weekend with family. It was pretty quiet due to the weather but as with the last time we were here the place was warm, friendly and some really great drinks on offer. You can get a great beer brewed on location but also for those who just want a coffee they do a great one of those too. Great Place to pop in if you are just in town or for a couple of pints with a mate or two.

Great ales, both local and from elsewhere in the country; at least one craft cider; good coffee; welcoming atmosphere; friendly and knowledgeable hosts. As a lady of mature years, I do not make a habit of going into pubs by myself, but I would be quite comfortable having a drink on my own in these surroundings.

Tucked away behind Cornmarket, this is a great addition to the pub offering in Louth. Good range of real ales and stouts some made in-house. Locals and staff very friendly to a pair of tourists dropping in. Good value prosecco if you're not a beer drinker!

Newly opened, with indoor and outdoor seating, and opposite the Masons Arms Hotel, so should get trade from the drinkers who are no longer made to feel welcome there. I'm told they will be brewing their own beer in due course, which is all positive.

We visited here for breakfast after a very busy morning packing up our tent to go home after a stay at a nearby campsite (extra points for being dog friendly!). All very hungry there were plenty of options to choose from and even the option to build your own breakfast which was great for my daughter who wouldn’t eat a full breakfast but would still like certain items! The staff were lovely, the service was quick and the food was delicious! Extra shoutout to the iced latte and the big buts breakfast. It was amazing! We will definitely be returning when we are back in Anderby. Thank you!

Spotted from the car park and decided to stop for a coffee. There was some seating outside so perfect for anyone with dogs. It was a beautiful spring day so we also decided to have some cakes and a cheese scone. I have to say the cakes were fab and the cheese scone was the best I have ever had. Can’t wait to visit again. Highly recommended.

After having had a fantastic experience here midweek during the summer, we promised ourselves we would be back for Sunday dinner. We booked by email, which was confirmed within minutes, Howe when we arrived there was no record of the booking. I was able to find the confirmation email. We were told that we could be accommodated but it would have to be in the bar area as there were 3 other bookings which already had restaurant tables reserved. We were advised to pick a table and they would set it up for us. We showed them where we would like to sit and waited for someone to bring some seating to the table. After 10 minutes we were still standing so found a different table which had seats in place. (We had already informed them that my husband was recovering from a broken ankle) Eventually the waitress came and gave us cutlery and placemats but no salt and pepper. She took our meat orders and I asked whether the veg would include cauliflower cheese, as I would like to not have it, as I have an allergy/intolerance. We waited a further half an hour for our meals, which came with the vegetables served on a tray, including the cauliflower cheese. There was only one spoon which was resting in the cheese sauce so I had to request another one. I then dished myself up a spoonful of swede/carrot mash and one broccoli floret. I did try to dish up some cabbage but found that when lifted from the plate, the cabbage came out from under the cauliflower cheese and covered in the sauce, so I had to not have cabbage. After the meal, the waitress came to clear the table. She dropped some vegetables on the tablecloth and asked if we wanted puddings to which I responded yes. After waiting for 38 minutes with no sign of the waitress to clean the table or take our pudding order, we decided to leave. On taking our payment the bar staff asked if everything had been ok, so I mentioned the above. He simply said, ‘sorry about that ‘but the mains were ok?’ I chose not to continue with the conversation, as my husband had overheard the barman say that he was going to rip someone’s head off. We are really disappointed as we had been telling everyone about how good our experience in the summer was. To top it all, there was a very large dog in the area which smelled strongly and a group of young children also came and used the pool table right next to us, despite there being a notice advising that nobody under 16 was allowed to use it. Another customer did point it out but was ignored. One or two little things we could have overlooked/forgiven but unfortunately there were too many today and we won’t be back

An unassuming little place that offers a friendly welcome and excellent, attentive service. It's got a cosy, slightly bio/eco feeling with very interesting plants and an insect hotel outside the door. Menu is limited but more than adequate for a light lunch or afternoon tea. Nice music playing unobtrusively in the background too. A really great touch is their bottomless cup for tea or coffee. Blink and you'll miss this place as you drive along the busy and fast A52 between Boston and Skegness. It's on a cross-roads just after the main Friskney village turn-off travelling NE. But DON'T miss it because it really is a worthwhile pit-stop. Opposite, down the lane towards the Wash, there is some brilliant wild walking.
