Tivoli Cafe in Brighton and Hove

Lovely café, with a nice outdoor space full of plants. A fair amount of traffic goes by, but that can't be helped. I had a really nice smoothie and a croissant, and the service was impeccable.

Very disappointed with our visit after the rave reviews on here. We waited quite a while for our drinks and more than half an hour for our food despite there only being a few customers. Very poor customer service. The food was served on cold plates so was unsurprisingly not very warm. One member of our group’s meal was entirely forgotten and another one ordered scrambled eggs but was given fried eggs. The table next to ours had plates with left over food on them for almost the entire duration of our visit. Quirky decor inside but outside tables in need of replacing as some have chunks missing from them.

We had heard great things about this cafe so decided to give it a try. We ordered drinks which took 15 minutes to be served then ordered lunch. The waitress tried to memorise our order as she didn’t have anything to record it on! We went inside to tell her our order as she inputted it on the till. We had wanted to sit outside but moved inside when a table became free as the tables were rotten and had chunks missing from them. We waited almost half an hour before the food appeared. It was served on cold plates and wasn’t very warm. One member of our group was left without a meal until we enquired about it. One member of our group ordered scrambled eggs but was served fried ones. There were no apologies for the lateness of the food or the problems we encountered. The table behind us remained uncleared till almost the end of our meal. An extremely underwhelming visit.

AMAZING Great food, and caters for those who want more traditional English and those who want something different. The owner went above and beyond and service was fantastic. Great place for food including take away meals and a place to watch the world go buy. We will be back!

Everything you’d want in local cafe plus lots of interesting store cupboard bits to buy or just look at ! Homemade spinach and feta pie with salad plus baklava and Turkish delight .. thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks

Fantastic Greek breakfast and hot chocolate which revived me in the middle of a 200 km London-Brighton-London bike ride on a wet cold December day, in fact it probably saved my life! Friendly service included putting some wet kit on the radiator to dry out.

We had an amazing lunch -delicious home made spinach and feta quiche - Mediterranean style - and some traditional baklava to follow -this family run cafe is always very welcoming …we’ll definitely be back !!

Visited on a warm Sunday morning for breakfast.. Personally I don't mind a bit of a wait for food while drinking excellent coffee (hopefully that means it is being freshly cooked) We sampled Turkish, Greek & Full English breakfast and enjoyed them all. The honey was so outstanding we bought a jar to take away. Will definitely return on our next trip to the area.

My first tasting of green coffee (Excuse my ignorance but never heard of it before) of all the coffee shops I've frequented in Brighton and Hove, this is the best, takes some time to brew but well worth the wait. As they say "You can't rush perfection". Definitely will be returning. Food looks amazing

This great little cafe is literally around the corner to where I live, and I don't frequent it as much as I should, but each time I go I really enjoy the food, the great variety of teas and the coffee. I was there for lunch with a friend on Wednesday and we both really rated our food - hers spanokopita and mine a vehan sausage roll, both lunches served with a variety of tasty salads. The owner teases me about me being vegan but has a good selection of vegan dishes and vegan biscuits! Well worth a visit. Soreh

We had a fabulous tasty lunch at Tivoli. Great portions of Kurdish food. We had lamb, rice and beans wrapped in filo pastry and an Aubergine bake with lots of lovely salad and a special smoothie, really refreshing with fresh mint. A great find, definitely will return.

Discovered Tivoli Cafe just off from Dyke Road recently and was really impressed - the staff there are so lovely, my sourdough panini with mozzarella & pesto was delicious with some pretty garnishes added too. The table next to me ordered breakfasts which looked amazing so I'll have to come back for them! :)

Cannot recommend this place highly enough. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, the food is excellent and so is the coffee. Today I had the healthier option of eggs Benedict instead of my usual full breakfast and it was cooked to perfection. Pay this...
