Food was good, lots of whiskey selection if you're into that

The food was smothered all with the same sauce which was overly sweet. For the amount of stars we were quite disappointed. Service was what really helped.

Happy AMY was looking after us. She is awesome and very friendly. I love this pub and coming there any time we visit to London. Tasting ribs and bloody marys we enjoy this pub

FILTHY PLEASE AVOID - ordered a drink and it had 3 flies in it. told the manager he was like meh, what can i do? His whole response and demeanour shows how little they care about hygiene in this place

Spent a Tuesday at Lord W. Have been wanting to visit for sometime. Love whiskey, love ribs, love beer so knew it wouldn’t disappoint. Rose- yes - rose remember her if you visit…she is amazing…will serve you the best old fashioned and then a Brixto beer not matched in London.

Unexpectedly had lunch here and turned out to be awesome. Lovely pub and staff and couldn't wish for better ribs...

Good beer, great food, and a quite remarkable whisky selection. Service is a slight Russian Roulette (will you get the lovely bar staff, or the one incredibly rude one?), but overall well worth a visit.

Service was phenomenal and very friendly. Staff made us feel very welcomed and at home. Food was great and at a great price. The order of 5 chicken wings was on par with having 10 wings since you get the whole wing. Drinks were delicious and the owner made special drinks for us to try as they were trying to add new drink items to the menu. Would highly recommend this place for a lively and fun stop.

Lana was amazing and guided us through the menu. Took great care of us and made sure we had the best time. Thoroughly recommend.

The St Louis ribs were to die for, and the Tata tots were incredible

What a fantastic place. Food is amazing, portions are generous and service is spot on. My baby back ribs were amazing but I was super jealous of my friend who had the beef short rib which was even better. The hot wings were fantastic too. Good selection of beer and other drinks too. Can't wait to come back, maybe for the rib platter next time.

Second visit, this time with a friend and was not let down…had beef shot ribs and Fire Chicken Wings to share plus friend had a massive Chicken Burger…great staff, beautiful food (disappointing that I had to leave 1 Chicken Wing, the fiery chilli was amazing) really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Staff were really welcoming and friendly…Until next time…

We visited the pub on Saturday evening 6/7/24 whilst staying in the area for the weekend. We were made very welcome by all the staff we met, especially Charlotte who served us. Good luck with your university course.

Really great atmosphere, food was amazing and the bar and waitress teams were all top notch. We had a fantastic evening.

Such a shame about the platter as the rest of our experience was brilliant. We’d come to try the meat platter after seeing reviews online but sadly each portion shared between 4 was tiny and the rib meat was dry. It almost felt like it had been cooked prior then reheated. The service was incredible though and I’d highly recommend for whisky tasting as the bartender was so helpful and kind. Dog friendly too! Edit: The reply to me seems a bit snappier than on other reviews that had similar issues but oh well. We did order sides but it would’ve been helpful to be advised that the meat portions would not be enough for 4 as no one mentioned this to us at the time. I’m glad other people have had better experiences :)

Simply Spectacular! Finally a place where food plays a starring role, with a quality that is difficult to find in the area. The beers and drinks are also really high quality! All the staff are friendly, pleasant and professional. in short, finally a place where you can return with enthusiasm. highly recommended for us!!!

Fantastic variety of whiskey available. Cocktails are very good too and it has a good variety of them. Burgers and chicken wings are very good.

My large group attended the Lord Wargrave on Saturday. After being informed via email that although our reservation was at 1pm we would be allowed to stay for the Euros, an employee came over and unexpectedly demanded we move tables. The table move resulted in me ending up sitting by the door and when that same employee brought out our group bill that had many errors on it, the table was distracted and my bag was stolen. I have now lost my passport and many items representing significant financial and sentimental value. The pub caught the entire theft on CCTV and informed me the theives faces were visible in the video but refused to share the video, let me view it, and did not even share the exact time stamp. I cannot help but feel that this would not have happened had it not been for the horrible treatment and move of my party which was at least a miscommunication of staff and at worst am active decision by an employee who may have helped orchestrate the theft. I will never be able to return here without a horrible feeling and reminder of this violation, which will have horrible repercussions for my life going forward as a foreign national. The food was good but service was beyond horrible

We just had an incredible Sunday supper at Lord Wargrave and look forward to going back again to try their “regular” fare. Particularly the ribs. The sticky toffee pudding made a great meal even better. Highly recommend.

BEWARE!!! I don't know if they just try to scam tourists or everyone but keep your receipts. Tried to get me to pay my bill again hours later by calling and lying pretending that the first charge didn't go through.

The food at The Lord Wargrave is really quite good. If you like smoked or barbecue food theirs is up top of the list. The wings are magnificent. And equally as good is the staff. They are friendly and accommodating and they make you experience extra special.

Great place to eat and have a drink. An incredible selection of Whiskeys and great food. We had a delicious hamburger and the famous pork ribs, really excellent, "if you don't lick your fingers you'll only enjoy it halfway". Delicious food, not like a classic pub, attentive, smiling and kind staff, excellent beers.

Somehow ended up in the Marylebone neighborhood of London at the end of our England visit. The main drag is a disaster of gambling halls, vape shops and similar. But just a block in is a very nice community of homes, schools and small restaurants. We were lucky to have found LORD WARGRAVE and had a wonderful afternoon soaking up the rare English sunshine and some ales at their outside tables. After we Moved inside for their house-smoked ribs. We shared the Platter and still couldn’t finish it all, huge servings. It was all delicious but My favorite were the St Louis ribs, moist and Flavorful. Special mention to a supporting dish - the Cole slaw. Very fresh, not all mayonnaise and overdressed. And a shoutout to the staff. The bartender actually knew how to make delicious drinks that may not be on the menu - apparently an under appreciated skill in England, and our waiter Amy who was ever cheerful. Great find and highly recommended.

We kicked off our London trip with this pub. I can’t find anything negative about this pub, the staff was very friendly and polite, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was great. I highly recommend ! We will come back on our next trip for sure 😊

Got there and the kitchen was down. 😳🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ That said they got it up and running and we ordered the rib platter, cesar salad and mac & cheese. I'll be honest and tell you that the food was better than I thought it would be. It was really good!! Their ribs would not be outta place in Kansas City or down in Texas they are that good!! This place is definitely worth the visit. Never thought ribs would be this good in a UK pub setting!! Who knew!! 🤷🏻‍♂️🙌🏻🙏🏻🫶🏻

Excellent BBQ - big plates of wings (the Fire Wings are very, very 🔥 🥵), plus a choice of ribs including thick juicy pork, and baby back. Big helpings - I could barely walk back to the tube after lunch! We did not try the non-meat options, but I'm sure they were also very good. This is a great place for BBQ & slow cooked meats!

Went for Sunday lunch, i had the short beef rib, my wife had 3 meat roast. Both meals excellent. Finished with whisky wine flight

Amazing food and service! Had the baby back ribs and beef short ribs roasts. The ribs were perfect and the sides were excellent, especially the Yorkshire pudding! Also had a sticky toffee pudding for dessert and whiskey to finish. All in all a top quality pub with high quality yet well priced food 😋

Enjoyed a delightful meal and drinks at the Lord Wargrave in London. Julian behind the bar created some special mixes which made for a great night’s outing. Cosy atmosphere with a good range of both food and beverages.

Cool vibe. Nice cocktails. Only had an appetite for desert and would recommend the Belgium waffle. The burgers look huge and tasty especially since everyone was ordering them. Will try and get one before we leave London.

You wouldn't think you'd find great American barbecue in London, but you'd be wrong!

This British pub has a nice atmosphere and good quality food and drink. The staff, Lana and Christian are exceptional! And the two of them supported a lot of customers - and always with a smile and a willingness to help 😊

If you are looking for good food with fantastic Scotch, Bourbon or Whiskey this is your spot. Great service and vibe. Sticky Toffee Pudding is also pretty darn good.

5 stars! I've had the lord wargrave on my list of places to visit for a while and it did not disappoint. We went for firewings to start which were hot but didn't blow my head off and then the rib platter, safe to say it was worth the wait! Would definitely visit again

Our server was so sweet and she just felt like an amazing person <3 If I lived in London I would definitely be a regular here!

Typical service and pub vibes but the burger was one of the best I’ve had in London. Really want to go back and try the ribs next time. Tater tots were also very legit and a good complement to the burger (nice change up from the typical chips).

This was my second visit to The Lord Wargrave, and the rib platter did not fail to disappoint again! The service from Lana was impeccable, she was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable, and the food/drinks arrived in good time. As well as the amazing food the cocktails are also standout (especially the New York Sour). Would (and will) recommend to anyone!

Absolutely brilliant meal, been meaning to come here for a while. The Rib Platter did not disappoint! A great selection of ribs that can feed two quite easily. Pork belly in there as well which just fall apart, really delicious. The sticky toffee pudding was great and the service was friendly and attentive. Definitely want to go back.

Our experience at the Lord Wargrave was exceptional! I have a gluten and dairy intolerance and the staff were so knowledgeable and helpful about their menu and allergens. They offered recommendations for whiskey tasting and were so friendly and attentive. The food was impeccable and we had a wonderful time - we will be returning!

Delicious Sunday Roast - couldn’t decide which one to choose so had the trio and so glad I did as they were all very well cooked and tasty. The Staff, even though they were very busy they were very polite, courteous and great customer service. Thank you Elliot for accommodating us at short notice. Highly recommended.

We had the Rib Platter and Caesar Salad to share and I must say the salad is a perfect choice to go with the ribs.. The chicken was cooked to perfection. We came for the ribs and was not disappointed. The bar staff were excellent and service was second to none. Would recommend and would go back.

Hi, I have a great night, started with a good welcome from the staff, and followed up with a great meal, had the Rib Platter, fantastic. Also weakened and had a pudding, the stick toffee pudding was unbelievable good, the best I have ever had.

I had the short rib + mac&cheese and fries at Wargrave the other day. Overall, I’d judge this more as a smokehouse than a classical pub, albeit it clearly bridges the two. It’s clearly a welcoming local place, several families with small children were having their Sunday roasts (++) at the time I visited, and I love the relaxed ambiance of the place. The staff was most pleasant too, albeit I felt a bit ignored for the first few minutes after my arrival (quickly regained though, as they understood I was there to eat rather than just have a random pint). The food was undeniably quality, although I must deduct a star for the ribs being somewhat dry. I’ll be back, likely to try their st. Louis ribs upon my next visit. PS: Expect large portions, come hungry.

Amazing food situated in a more discreet and quiet area, away from the high road. We came specifically to try their delicious, big BBQ ribs on a late social night out (along with just a few drinks) after hearing all the glowing reviews and compliments about it and everyone in our small group loved it! We will be sure to return in the future if we're passing by Edgware Road again as we all loved it. Recommended and thanks for your staff for being so welcoming and friendly throughout our dinner night!

Wonderful food, you are absolutely full but every bite is worth it, especially the ribs, the largest

I really like this place hidden from the busy street of edgway road this place is a hidden gem that has a lot to offer firstly the food the ribs they have are to die for really good meat for a pub. Then there was the wide selection of whiskeys, gins and beers they even have famous alcohol that are a bit out of the confort of pubs so really good choice for a sit down with mates. Oh and ofcorse the service is really good with the lovely lady at the counter during the day ive been. Atmosphere is good but they could change the music. I recommend this place for a person that loves exploring the pubs of london or really just wants a sit down with friends. Ps. They have the best toilets in any pub I’ve seen you’ll understand when you see them as well as a cool entrees to the pub.
