The staff were really friendly the steak was beautiful couldn’t fault it and would recommend. They even helped with dietary needs

We came upto london for one night as we had to catch our plane to Barbados the following day from heathrow. The person who served us was very efficent and friendly would defintley come again.

Unfortunately, we didn't have the opportunity to eat here at this restaurant because when we arrived, the restaurant was entirely empty and a sign displayed saying it was temporarily closed for the forseeable.We had booked a table here for the 25th August way back in July, but we were not once informed that the restaurant would be closed.Luckily, there was a Steak&Co restaurant situated just around the corner on Garrick Street, where we walked to and explained the situation to the waiter on the door. He then explained that all bookings for St Martins Lane had been moved to the Steak&Co on Haymarket. When we arrived at Haymarket, it was quite clear that the restaurant had no idea that they were supposed to be taking reservations from another restaurant, but luckily they had a table there for us. At 8pm that evening, I received an email telling me my reservation had been cancelled (my reservation was for 7pm, an hour earlier) and that I needed to "rebook" to another restaurant.Long & short of it - very disappointed that this venue is still taking bookings despite it being closed.

We went for an early tea before the theatre. The experience was very good apart from a couple of things the tables were a little too close together nothing to do with covid,I just don't want to hear other people's conversation. Also it did feel a little rushed especially towards the end of the meal. The meal was good and the steak was very tender . It was a different experience to cook your meat on a hot stone .

Best meal of the weekend in London,really enjoyable from start to finish with special thanks to Aiste who managed to accommodate us without a reservation.Steaks served rare with choice of butters and sauces and you cook to your taste on a hot stone slab provided.The full rack of meaty ribs tasted amazing, messy to eat but the sauce was delicious served with large sides of sweet potato fries and crunchy onion rings.Cant thank the above named Aiste for her service,attention and witty chat and would highly recommend Steak&Co if your in Covent Garden.

Oh no, where to begin. I really did not enjoy my meal at all. I had the onion soup to start, and it had no flavour at all. I had ordered one of the chicken mains and a side of onion rings. The onion rings again had no flavour and were burnt. The chicken was not as described. It tasted like it had been frozen. It was very hard, and it was smoothered in "fake cheese" (American cheese) sauce on top of sliced potato fries. I was expecting a creamy mushroom sauce and a high end meal - not "fast food" or diner-style food! I won't be going back.

Pre theatre meal booked, table was ready , staff pleasant,helpful and attentive. Food was great and we were not rushed, a different sort of experience 👏👏

My partner and I are away in London for her birthday celebrations and chose this restaurant for our first night of eating out. We arrived 20 minutes early for our reservation but we were welcomed in by the most polite and friendly hosts on the door. The restaurant was absolutely buzzing with a great atmosphere and in such times, we still felt completely at ease in our surroundings, which considering we're from a sleepy town in Cornwall, is all the more remarkable! We were greeted at our table by a humourous and friendly waiter who took our drinks order along with our food in a prompt and timely manner. Our drinks arrived very shortly after and was followed by what I can only describe as our amazing food! We plumped for the "Tomahawk sharing steak" which is served on a hot stone enabling us as the guests to complete the cooking to our own liking. We shared this with a side of fries, sweet potato fries and onion rings, all of which were great but the star of the show to go with our steak was the delightful selection of flavoured butters and sauces (the red wine sauce was to die for!!). It's an ongoing joke between my partner and I because I am notoriously difficult to please when eating out but I simply could not find fault at all. The whole evening was fantastic and the food was actually the best I have ever eaten on a night out. I would whole heartedly recommend eating here and would definitely visit again. A+ all round!!

Little did I know what was waiting for us. The menu gives you plenty to choose from (sorry, not sure if you're vegetarian or vegan) and the food and drinks were served without too much of a wait. Starters where more than decent in flavour and portion (camembert cheese really melted, french onion soup was good, the calamari looked just like on the menu, etc.) and then came the main course. It started with the waiter making his mini-show on how to work your steak on the hot stone, the selection of different flavoured butters, different seasonings and all of it on the side, so that you finished off the steak pieces on your personal hot stone. Just fabolous. Only downside is that you will get hot eventually and that you have to finish off your steaks yourself (maybe not to everyone's liking). But it's a steak lover's paradise. We would go back with our eyes closed. I really would love to see their kitchen in action as well, military precision is required for this smooth service. Absolutely worth the experience.

Had breakfast here today which was very good and fair price. Looking at steak menu made my mouth water and if they are half as good as breakfast they will be fantastic. Will go back for sure

You cook your own steak on hot stones at you table, the steak was beautiful, but the sauce, chips etc were not. Our waitress, Aurora was brilliant. Very friendly and helpful.

We had a lovely dinner here after a long time of not seeing each other. It was made even better by the service of this gentleman. What a lovely guy, who genuinely seems to enjoy his job. 5 stars for you!!

Nice experience to make it yourself but the quality of the food wasn’t the greatest. My chicken wasn’t seasoned enough and the taste of the pasta Alfredo was overall below average. I would say it was the same quality as the one you buy ready meal in any shop. I will not recommend and I won’t be back.

Everything was fine until my partner said “my chicken tastes like fish”. I tasted a cube of the chicken she was served and immediately realised it had gone off. Prior to cooking, chicken at this stage would be slimy and discoloured, how a competent chef wouldn’t realise, is beyond belief, this is prior to the smell that it would have undoubtedly given off during the cooking process. We complained to the waiter, he refused to consume a piece, instead, demanded full payment and advised we need to email their customer service team and they would be sure to compensate us. How a reputable restaurant can willingly poison its customers is beyond me. We spent the night vomiting, come morning we contacted the restaurant, they asked we fill in a form, then proceeded to deny any wrong doing and dismissed any claim. Should this happen in the future, I will immediately call environmental health and provide them with a sample of this restaurants food. That way, adequate action can be taken. This is a terrible and dangerous establishment and should be avoided at all costs

Great way of serving steak and good hoices of wine! Gregorio, who served us, did an absolute great job in attending and accommodating our needs. Very entertaining too.

Food was sensational, worth the price, but we did not get one of the steaks as these seemed far too expensive. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. There was a very loud and tipsy group of people behind us celebrating a birthday, but at the end of the meal we got a glass of champagne on the house, so that made up for it!

People were packed in like sardines so not covid safe. Prawn starter came in a chipped bowl and was horribly seasoned and nothing like the menu. Steak came on a hot plate and you sort of cook it yourself. The rump steak was ok but nothing special. They don’t serve wine by the glass and kept banging on to leave a tripadvisor - so here it is. Overpriced.

I had booked this restaurant going off reviews hearing it was a good steak place. We got there and the manager sat us at our table, we ordered a couple of drinks and the waiter was brilliant. We went on to have our meal, our starter was nice and my steak I couldn’t fault. My boyfriends fillet steak was dry and chewy, he left half on his plate. When we had finished and the waiter come to collect the plates we explained that my boyfriend didn’t enjoy the steak and told him it was chewy and dry. It wasn’t a good cut of meat. He went to tell the manager who didn’t even come over to apologise or anything. We didn’t order any deserts we finished our drinks and asked for the bill. When it arrived it had a £2 cover charge which had not been explained to us and when we asked what the charge was we got told it was for the security and the cleaning of the area, when we had been out previous nights to restaurants we hadn’t had this on our bill. So my boyfriend then went on to say he couldn’t believe they had charged us full for something he didn’t eat. The waiters response was “you ate most of it” my boyfriend left half of his steak and at this point I wish we took a picture of how much was left on the plate. He went over to his manager who took the Bacardi x2 off the bill and the cover charge, if this was a charge for the community how are they able to just take this off? The manager still did not apologise to us, just said to us enjoy your evening when we left. We couldn’t believe how unprofessional this was! This was our last night in London and this restaurant let us down, we will definitely not recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys steak. There are so many places around for a good steak.

At first I was unsure at first with the wait and the fact I had never been but was recommended! However, once sat down our waitress, justyne, completely made me feel so valued and she was just a happy Presence, she made my friends birthday surprise better with a cake and song and also kept a happy, joyful vibe throughout our meal, shes was lovely.

Visited restaurant with my mum, it was best dinner ever. Food is so delicious and staff working there is super nice and professional. My favorite waitress is Denisa she is so lovely and professional. Can not wait to visit again.

We booked a little late notice and were lucky to get a table because social distance has given everyone a lot of space inside and people *really* seem to like this place.I almost never order steaks because they're so often disappointing and my wife is vegan, but this place was suggested to us and we both came out winners. The meat was great, vegan curry was tasty and their own version of chimichurri is something special.Service right through the restaurant from the guy on the door to the manager himself was extra-friendly. I know it's part of a chain, but deep down this is really just a good restaurant run by people who care.

I’ve been to a few steak restaurants and this is the best one by far.Impeccable service, have to mention Zsolt, very friendly and knowledgeable. The meat is brought in with a hot stone and you get to cook your steak to how you like it, so much fun and the meat just melts in your mouth. To top it all, we had our first cute Prosecco with candy floss, which made the whole lunch date perfect.Highly recommended if you’re in Covent Garden

Looking for an early dinner and we were welcomed by Denise who quickly took our order checking that we were familiar with the use of the hit griddle. Steaks were excellent and we were really well looked after by Denise throughout our visit.

Perfect place where to enjoy your steak exactly the way you like it!!!! My favorite one is the fillet(just melts in your mouth)!!!! And big thanks to Maddie such a lovely waitress who looked after us!!!

Came in with my family for a dinner. I have a fillet steak on a sizzling stone ,my wife ordered chicken pie .Food was amazing , and the waiter Zolt was superb. Definitely gonna come again .

I’ve been in the restaurant now 5-6 times but i am very disappointed because of the poor booking management. We booked a table for last Saturday to celebrate my birthday with my friends. The food and the service is always amazing. I know one of the waiters (Zsolt), who always provides us an amazing service and that’s why i was very specific when I booked the table to have it in his section. When I arrived to the restaurant, one of the hosts (Adonis) was very helpful and polite. He told us that we unfortunately can’t have the table that i had requested. The manager (Natalia) decided to put us on another table on purpose. There wasn’t any specific reason for this, i can only assume it was a personal decision. I specifically wanted to go to this restaurant as the service from Zsolt is impeccable, so to have requested his service in advance and deliberately be put somewhere else with another waiter is very disappointing. I would rather go to another steak house in the area and spend my money there.

This Saturday, we wanted to celebrate our Birthday with my friends (Greta) at this restaurant. We know one of the waiters, Zsolt there, as he’s always providing an excellent service. Therefore we specifically wanted him to serve us. We initially agreed at the booking with regards this. However it was quite devastating upon our arrival, when we’ve been told off by one of their managers, Natalia, that we should not take a seat at Zsolt’s table. The food is nice, don’t get me wrong. However we know this guy for a long time, and we think, we’ve been mistreated. Next time we consider to choose another nearby steakhouse, where we also know the staff better. Such a pitty to keep people like Natalia in position to ruin your birthday night, when it’s all about friends and family.Shame.

Really good beef, been here twice now. The meat is of really good quality, and you can choose your own sides, salt and butter. You grill your own beef with a table grill! Recommended!!

We arrived quite late, the place was packed and we didnt think we would get a table. However within 3 minutes they had one ready for us, we were served by Hatus (st.Martines lane branch) who was friendly and efficient, he even asked us if everything was ok a few times despite how busy they were. This was the best steak I have ever had, fantastic service and a perfect night out.

Unfortunately, the steaks were a let down this time which is a shame as I've been quite a few times.

Cesar was so accommodating, he made me feel very welcome and treated me like a VIP. It’s made me want to bring my colleagues here for a lunch/dinner as I know he will provide us with the best service.

Vi hade bokat bord så vi behövde inte vänta för det var kö. Vi hade en servitör som heter Hatus som svarade på frågorna som vi hade om menyn, han var även trevlig och skojade friskt. Maten var god, vi åt kött som vi själva slutförde stekningen på heta stenar. Det enda negativa var att ljudnivån var lite hög med alla som pratade i restaurangen.

Dined in this restaurant with family. The food is delicious and fun. You have the choice of cooking your own steak on a hot stone that is bought out to you, or, you can have them cook it for you. You get to pick the steak, the salt (the secret ingredient one is divine), the butter and the sauce. The waiter - Hatus was fantastic - incredibly helpful and lots of fun. A great atmosphere. There is another one across the road and around the corner, but the St Martins lane store was bigger and way less smoky! I would highly recommend this if you are looking for a steak dinner - and a great waiter. Hatus is the best. A great night was had by all. Thank you.

We ate at this restaurant and Cesar was addressed with the harsh mission of dealing with a noisy and picky group.

We really enjoyed the food and the staff were doing their best in a busy restaurant and were very friendly. The whole place was very smoky though from all the steak cooking which meant our clothes and hair smelt all evening.

My girlfriend and I loved the food here, we both got fillet steaks and we loved the idea that you can cook your own on a hotplate. Amazing and prompt service, would highly recommend

Needed a quick meal before the theatre and went here purely on Trip Advisor's good ratings. Excellent 8oz fillet steaks for two with sweet potato fries to share. Really good steaks and great fun to finish cooking them on the hot stones. Staff friendly and very helpful. Much better than I had hoped for! Good value. Highly recommended.

I chose the rib eye , my wife the steak salad. Both delicious steaks , great having the hot stone to cook the meat to your own specification, apple tart for desert , fast service , reasonable price - highly recommended for a steak.
