Stayed a few nights. Rooms are tired and outdated! Tv didn’t work due to terrible reception. Not a warm and fuzzy place! Okay at a pinch if you can’t find anything else! No one to talk to if you need anything!! Access to room awkward with suitcases!! Definitely wouldn’t recommend this Hotel

We stopped for lunch during a busy summer weekday and had a pleasant lunch and which provided good value for money. Despite being busy the service was efficient and we didn't face too long a wait for our food. There is a good range of food options on the menu with an option to add extras onto some dishes and a good selection of deserts available.

Lovely Old Pub perfectly furnished. The lovely Staff make it welcoming comfortable and Cosy. Excellent Varied Menue. I went for the Mushroom Aranchini - (my first and delicious) not having a huge appetite with a portion of Truffle Chips in case the Starter didn’t quite fill me . The Mushroom Aranchini would have sufficed quite well - but the chips were lush even though I could not manage the last couple. My Husband had the Steal and Ale Pie which was superb as were the vegtables.

Perfect fish and chips. My wife and I visited today for lunch. Busy being a Saturday, however, the service was fast and the meal was excellent. Perfectly cooked light batter, excellent white fish, proper chips and amongst the best peas I've tasted - not the watery type found elsewhere but perfect consistency. Service was efficient with polite staff. Thank you, we will visit again.

Been coming here for years always loved it. Booked for my birthday suddenly much more expensive than Friday always was but now more so 'dynamic pricing ' they call it ......that's not what I call it. Service was appalling. Food was awful. There were only about 9 races and most of them only had 4 dogs running. Betting was absolutely pathetic put a £3 bet on and win £3.10 no thanks not any fun in that. We left quite early wouldn't call it a night out at all. Made a complaint responded basically saying I was wrong because they had checked the cctv and my timings were not exact. Tried to blame dynamic pricing. Dynamic pricing is when you put the price up because more people come not because hardly anyone is there. Offered me 50% off my next visit I won't be spending any more of my money here unless it drastically improves Wasn't even going to waste my time reviewing it but they have sent me an email asking me to give a review 2 months later even though I unsubscribed from them so they wouldn't continue to contact me again

After reading reviews on this cafe, breakfast was needed, so today I drove for an hour breakfast was ordered, Sarah's special, fantastic, eggs, salmon, fresh and tasty. Coffee and great service. Quiet because of virus, but when you have worded all week I just had to make a visit. People phone to book. After a couple of yrs, the impression this little cafe has left on my memory is very good.

Myself, wife and daughter visited here for breakfast whilst visiting Bath for the day. First impressions were great with the guy seating us being extremely friendly and helpful. I ordered the large cooked breakfast for around £15, my wife the pancakes and our daughter an omelette. Drinks and food were very quickly delivered to the table and we all tucked in. Visually they all looked good, with the exception of the single hash brown on my plate which was the smallest I’d ever seen. It’s not often that food that enters my mouth leaves instantly, but the hash brown broke all speed records and i think that record will be a long standing one. Tepid in temp at best, with the texture not even as good as fried cardboard, it was obvious that this hash brown had accidentally slipped into the chefs pocket prior to his around the world trip 3 years ago and then accidentally made its way onto my plate on his return. Not always one to complain I grabbed a quick fork full of beans to try and rid my mouth of the experience, only to find them colder than the hash brown. When you can’t microwave beans competently maybe the kitchen isn’t the best place for you ? With the server only next door to us I had a discreet word, received a genuine apology and a few minutes later was presented with a fresh ramekin of beans and 2 more hashbrowns. It was instantly obvious that the beans had been microwaved way beyond what was needed as they’d bubbled and spat the sauce over their container. Exercising some caution in picking the ramekin up I realised I’d been correct in my assessment. The beens were beyond scalding hot. I’m not sure if this was a spiteful act that quite frankly could have been dangerous, or to give them the benefit of my doubt maybe the microwaver needs better training? The 2 hashbrowns were as equally as bad as the first and were left. My wife and daughter’s breakfasts were both nice. I’d never return here which was a shame as I think it has the potential to serve some consistently good food.

This river cruise used to be very special but alas it no longer is. Table presentation is basic no nice white linen table cloth,no nice table napkins. Food no where near as good as it was a couple of years ago. The desert was especially poor and the wine was served barely chilled In fact the interior of the barge could do with a really good deep clean. The owners of the Countess of Evesham need to up their game as they are letting themselves and customers down.
