My experience at Quayside Bar and Kitchen in Weymouth was not just disappointing due to the food, but also because of the poor customer service. I ordered the mushroom and spinach penne, which was absolutely flavorless with a sauce that was more like running water. When I raised my concerns with the manager, I was met with a dismissive attitude. She brought the dish back to my table, stating that no one had ever complained before, as if that invalidated my experience. The lack of concern for customer satisfaction was quite off-putting. A simple acknowledgment of the issue and a willingness to make it right would have gone a long way, but instead, I was made to feel as though my complaint was unwarranted. It's a real shame, as I was hoping for a pleasant dining experience, but both the food and service left much to be desired. I wonāt be returning and cannot recommend this place.

Cycled past many times looked v nice so decided to pop in for a drink 2 weeks ago. Barmaid v chatty good feel about the place lighting perfect candles on nice background music. You could tell the lady working cared about the business! After this visit we decided to go back last night for a meal. So different no smile or hello when walked in 2 team working just didnāt look happy actually looked like they had fallen out. Sat at table one of them brought menu then we chose a bottle of wine which was nice and came quick. We then sat there 15 mins before getting up and asking if we ordered at the bar or were they coming over.one if them came over and took the order, food came around 30 mins later. The food was ok but pies could have been bigger with more filling. After finishing nobody came and asked if we would like a dessert in the end I had to get up and ask for the bill. We then left feeling v disappointed all round. Such a nice first visit what happened why such a let down. With prices high and pub in a small village out of the way it needs to be good every time not every other for it to survive in this tough environment. Not sure if will come back again š¤

We visited for the first time last week. We were both excited at the prospect of rarebit (since removed from the menu) the bland rarebit was just one piece of toast, the rest of the plate was salad, however the salad dressing made it tasty. But Ā£13 seriously?! On a positive lovely views to enjoy.

Staff friendly, comfortable seating and excellent food. Three of us all ordered the mixed grill, it was a huge plate of food two of us ended up taking some home. Pork chop, lamb chop, gammon, steak, sausage etc and proper hand cut chips. The service was spot on.

Miller and Carter is our favourite go to place for a meal, we went on 5th Nov to celebrate a family birthday and the food and service was excellent. The lunchtime menu is such good value, we never leave hungry. A big thank you to Brandon who was very patient when I was using restaurant vouchers and my phone was slow in responding to load them but we got there eventually. Looking forward to our Boxing Day meal. I have a feeling we'll also be back before then.

After booking the back function room for a Wedding for 2 days (the wedding day and the day before to 'set up') with less than 2 weeks notice we found out that they had double booked and cancelled on us. Has Nick the Landlord any idea what kind of stress that is going to have on any couples memorable day!? Have you any idea how hard it is with such short notice to find anything at all available. Most venues being booked up for at least a year! Thanks Nick, nice one. This was in July this year and moreover the only reason we discovered this total f**k up is because we phoned to check on the arrangements!

We held our daughters baby shower in the garden, the setting was lovely, the staff were absolutely fab, very attentive and provided excellent customer service. And the food was delicious, enjoyed by everyone. And I have to say compliments to the chef, I had the best nut roast ever! I would highly recommend a visit! Thank you to everyone at the The Lord Nelson for making our celebration special. š

This is a lovely traditional tea room. An old merchant's house repuposed for today. Very traditional food and lovely baked goods. We chose soup (Leek and potato; Marrow and Butterbean) and a hot cheese scone with Shropshire butter. Delightful home-made fare.
