Good Choice of food which was tasty! I was Disappointed that the "Only" fish (& chips) that was available was Cod; as this place came up as a "fish & chips" restaurant in Google Maps! I had the Thick Nutella Milk Shake. It was Delicious!! Friendly Staff. Was busy for a Tuesday afternoon!

Friendly staff and great lasagne. Kids loved their burgers and milkshakes and said they wanted to come back tomorrow.

Busy eatery in seaside town. Food is fine and what you would expect. Several of the staff are young and it is nice to see them out working for their living. The place has been there for years and they know what their customers want. Very good carvery at the weekend.

In the world of shrinkflation, this place missed the concept - kids fish n chips (and we had 3yr olds) were adult size. Fries with meals were double the necessary. Parisian burger, mussels, grilled plaice and chicken pie were all good, beats usual holiday cafe fare by far. Bathrooms and booths all clean. Lovely staff. The only oddity is it shuts at 8 on a Saturday (maybe it's a surfer get up early town?!) as that is the busiest time for restaurants in my home town!

Surprisingly decent cafe diner food for a reasonable price. Wait staff were a bit slow but polite and friendly when we finally got their attention. A good range of meals and drinks, perfect for after a day at the beach.

Went a couple of times, both at very quiet periods of the day so can't comment on the atmosphere but the food and service was spot on.

I first visited this establishment 13 years ago when I got engaged to my now husband and have visited a few times since and each time the food has been incredible, the staff and service very friendly and fast ! This restaurant was great 13 years ago and yet again tonight it has impressed us ! Their roast is delicious and the menu very affordable. We highly recommend a visit. Thank you and well done to all involved in making this establishment great.

Always love a meal here, been coming here for over 30 years and the quality has never changed. Food is great and the service has always been outstanding. Five of us visited on 11/08/24 in the afternoon for dinner and drinks. Although they were busy and short staffed our order was taken quickly and on the table shortly after. Absolutely worth the visit every time we are in the area.

Waited to be served for twenty mins then they serve somone else went bk in and ask if anyone is serving another ten mins so I left and went somewhere else

Staff lovely. Chicken and ham pie nice but uncooked pastry. Salmon lovely but potatoes very black and overcooked. Apparently we should have said at beginning of meal

It was a lovely day, and we sat outside. It's a busy spot. Our food was nice, I had a small breakfast and the mushrooms were delicious. My daughter had the pancake, which were very dence and heavy, but she ate them. My husband had the ham eggs and toast, which you could get with chips either. Handy spot for a quick bite.

Where do I start. Been here a few times over the years but today was a massive disappointment. The staff are great restaurant is nice, but the food is now terrible We both had the full English which turned up around 5 minutes after we ordered. It was warmish and the bacon and sausage dry like it's been pre cooked, fried egg with a hard yolk, under cooked hash brown ordered black pudding at £2.20 and got one small slice off the end and wasn't cooked enough and cold. £2.20!!!! When the bill cam we had been charged just under £6 for 2 cans of Diet Coke and were charged for tea and coffee even thought their sister restaurant the tea and coffee is included. Avoid unless you like eating overpriced undercooked food

Food is alright, not as good as it used to be years ago… Gemma G does more talking than they do working.. Rude to their younger coworkers too.

Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. Food is simple but tasty, and that’s always a winning combination. My daughter had pancakes and hash browns, I had the ham and eggs and the wife had the full English. Plates were cleared and we left satisfied. It was about £32ish for the lot including teas and coffee so it’s definitely value for money.

We were due to go here today after being recommended , when we arrived in the carpark a member of the kitchen staff was stood in the big bin out the back, with a kitchen apron on. Very disappointing. Shame, as we had heard the food was nice, but hygiene is obviously not a priority.

Best food in selsey and probably the whole peninsula. Love the homemade pies and the carvery on a Sunday can't be beaten. Ask for the head chef/owner and he will normally come out and say hello and regale old local folk tales.

Went to the Selsey boulevard with my family for Breakfast today. After being a regular at Bracklesham we was very disappointed with everything. Tea was cold, orders was wrong, fried eggs hard. Wont be going back.

Went in told it was table service and take a seat. Waited 10 minutes no one came to the table or was waiting on table to ask. So walked out.

Great selection on the menu. Very generous portions and great value. Busy for breakfast but the staff were on top of things.

Great carvery and great service. My husband and I are very particular about our roast dinners and have to say this was up there with one of the best we've had in a restaurant. We also had the breakfast on a separate occasion and that was also great.

Well presented restaurant with helpful, welcoming staff. A good range of family favourites and more interesting recipes. The salmon in chorizo sauce is absolutely delicious.

Visited the restaurant/cafe for my birthday lunch as a walk in, ordered the chicken burger and when bit down onto the burger boiling liquid squirted from inside the burger and burnt my mouth blistering my lips, the waitress told me this wasn’t the first time this had happened 🤷🏻‍♂️ I asked the manager for a phone call the next day as he apparently was unavailable on the day, he phoned the following day with a very abrupt rude attitude with no apology and blamed me for not checking the heat, I raised this concern with environmental heath which visited the site and they have told them that they need to press the chicken down to squeeze out the excess hot liquid, be warned if they don’t you will be burnt, hopefully they have changed the process of the way they cook chicken

First time visiting and really enjoyed it. HUGE portions, good value, large menu - its almost like a harvester. Saw they had a carvery on the Sunday which looked good from people passing. Fish and chips for me and partner had the mixed grill. Food was enormous and the fish was delicious. Took two desserts home with us as too full. The server with the short brown hair and lip piercing was on the ball, friendly and knowledgeable. Enjoyed the service provided. The only small problem was the chips were a little on the cold side but we didnt complain so we didnt give them a chance to correct it. Will be recommending to others and will be back.

Fantastic breakfast with coffee tea or fresh juice included - veggie breakfast was amazing and lots of it best veggie sausages I’ve ever tasted. Great service would highly recommend.

Delicious food, great portions and perfect service, I got the bbq brisket burger and it was delicious with the bbq sauce. It was massive! The staff were very nice, the only problem was we had to wait a while as another table had a large order but that isn't the restraunt's fault. Would and will dine there again as it is the best place for food in selsey.

Popped in with my little boy for breakfast. Asked the girl if I could swap my tomatoes for a hash brown, was told no and had to pay extra Same waitress served the table next to us a short while afterwards, same request from a gentleman, and he was told that's fine. Need consistency im afraid. Wouldn't return

We stopped by on our trip in Selsey and ordered Spicy American burger + Plaice served with some salad etc. Unfortunately my food was just not *it*, the combo was really weird. Maybe my mistake that I ordered in rush... Burger was average. Staff genuinely fine.

Went in for Sunday lunch all food fantastic loved the carvery even tried a battered parsnip! All portions generous, service with a smile ,lovely restaurant! Went back for breakfast on the Monday before journey home! Def recommend and return if in area

First time in Selsey. The restaurant on the main road. It was reasonably busy. However, the service was excellent. Waitress Gamma is a gold star. The meal plates are very large for cheaper than usual prices. Tasty foods and well prepared. This place is worth a 5* recommendation.

Great place to go for some great food with super friendly staff! I even made a special request for a mint aero sundae (which wasn't on the menu) and they absolutely smashed it! Best sundae I've ever had! Update: Went back and ordered the California burger from the specials board and think that it's quite possibly be the best burger I've ever eaten!

A mediocre restaurant serving cake that artificial & sugary, and undrinkable coffee. The staff were nice. Not a place to go back to. I must point out I did not have a main course here so cannot pass comnent on this.

Pictures don't do the food justice. Literally, the biggest piece of cod I've ever seen and needed a box to take some home. Fabulous service, very friendly waitress and a lovely clean restaurant. Would happily come back 💕

Great place especially for families. Great fish and chips and excellent burgers. Wide range of desserts. Our grandsons particularly loved the Sundaes. Highly recommend.

We got to the Boulevard deep into a Monday morning after a great walk o the Seal bay seafront. A Boulevard breakfast x 2 with 2 coffees and we were golden. 2 Hungry diners and 1/2hr later and we were all smiles. Great food, really friendly staff (as ever) - Spoiler alert: We are repeat customers and will long remain so. Always good.

Haven’t left a review of the food because we never got served. We were waiting half and hour outside in the cold, and went in twice to let them know we were there, and despite being told both times someone would be there in a few minutes we were left waiting both times. Quite frankly appalling, it’s a wonder anyone bothers to go there. Went to the local cafe just up the street and I would advise anyone who wants any form of quality to go there instead

Came up from London and wanted a meal in a restaurant, this was one of the only places open at 18:00, when asked if I could have the seniors meal x2 I was told I’m not a senior but my mother is so I said can I have one at senior price and the other at normal price and was spoken to really rudely and the lady was very dismissive ! And I was asked exactly what I wanted, which I thought I’d just said! 2 x seniors! So just walked out, won’t be going in there again! Their loss not mine!

We have eaten many times at this restaurant at various times of day. Always a delicious meal and the servers are friendly and helpful. Gemma in particular is lovely and a real asset to the team. Give it a go…real value for money.

After a long walk, 10 of us rocked up in the hope that we could get a table last Sunday lunchtime! Luckily, we could and were accommodated very quickly, even though the restaurant was busy. Our waitress Gemma was brilliant - very friendly from the start and great with the children! Nothing was too much trouble. The menu had lots of choice - something for everyone. The carvery was the best I have had in a very long time. Would highly recommend! I just wished we lived closer!

I went to visit The Boulevard for breakfast with my family on a Saturday morning. As expected it was busy but the staff helped us by finding and cleaning a table.The food came out quickly and was amazing! The breakfast was just delicious, everything cooked perfectly and the black pudding was especially fantastic. It was honestly one of the best breakfasts we have had in a long time.The staff were so kind and helpful when more of our family arrived and they managed to sort them out somewhere to sit nearby to us. Very friendly staff, lovely service and great food. Can't wait to go back!!

The 4 of us arrived starving after a good walk, knowing that we would soon be welcomed by the great staff, and a huge delicious menu to choose from, I often try to choose something different but I'm always drawn back to the best chicken and ham pie. ( it never fails me).Great atmosphere, with lots of smiles from the staff.We left probably a couple of kilo heavier but oh so worth every mouthful. We have never been disappointed by this lovely diverse restaurant, and always look forward to our visits there.Well done The Boulevard!

I am fed up with reading all the negative reviews of The Boulevard (Selsey) - it’s time to redress the balance! My wife and I have been going to The Boulevard for the last 18 months on a regular basis, sometimes 2 or 3 times a week and we have never been dissatisfied with the food or the service. Their menu is fantastic & caters for all tastes, they have a ‘Specials’ board & on Mon-Fri a ‘Seniors Special’ Menu, which we often eat from. They have a Sunday Carvery too, which is excellent and is always popular. The food quality is always good and the portions are very generous (even the Seniors Specials!)Many people have criticised the service here but not us. We have always received excellent service and we would particularly like to mention Suzi, Gemma, Louise, Emily & David and the many others who have given us good service. Yes, the restaurant gets very busy at times (especially during the peak holiday season) but you just have to be a little bit patient and ask & then wait while your table is cleared & cleaned for you. Don’t be put off by any negative reviews you may have read about The Boulevard, it is a great restaurant with great food, great atmosphere & great staff.

Arrived for Sunday lunch i had to spray & clean my own table..after getting the attention from a waitress 10 min later we ordered drinks & food..absolutely shocking service from Jamie 2 weeks in a row..don’t clear tables don’t bring bill or card machine no eye contact or interest in her job whatsoever..after finally asking someone to get our bill I waited another 10 min only to have to go up to till & pay myself..such a shame the food is always really good but the staff are lazy & uninterested I will spend my money elsewhere..this place is definitely gonna lose some regular customers because of the poor service from young staff..I will say the girl with short hair who usually serves us is amazing & seems to be the only one that does any work.

Arrived, plenty of dirty tables, lack of attentiveness from staff even though there was plenty of them! No eye contact, asked twice if our table could be cleared and if we could order.I’ve been coming here for over 20 years and to be fair the food is always very good and the proportions are great. Can’t complain about the food.Very disappointed about the service of the young staff, made us feel like an inconvenience. They looked like they just couldn’t be bothered!

Sadly in my experience, this is becoming fairly typical as hospitality and leisure businesses try to recover from successive lockdowns. Instead of differentiating themselves with the quality of their offering, they seem to pursue the lowest cost strategy, which generally involves hiring individuals who look and behave like they have just left school. Case in point - whilst the sign outside proudly announces that we should ‘sit back and relax as there is table service’, after being allocated a table, we were deliberately ignored by a succession of very young waiting staff, who were much more interested in chatting with each other and doing as little work as possible. There was no evidence of any supervision by more experienced staff, which is pretty extraordinary given that this was a Saturday afternoon. After several fruitless attempts to attract any attention over the course of 15 minutes, we left. It is hard to find much sympathy for hospitality and leisure businesses trying to recover from C-19 when they are effectively turning business away.

Visited late September whilst on Holiday in Selsey, was warmly greeted by Waitress and ordered a drink each whilst we looked at MenuDecided on Hot seafood salad and Jacket potatoMeals were out fairly quickly and were of a really good sizeThe Seafood Salad was bread crumbed Calamari, Prawn and Scampi on a very large salad of mixed leaves, peppers, Tomatoes, Cucumber, Croutons and was really tasty But too much even for me to finish (Can't criticize them on that though), The wife had a decent Jacket potato with cheese and a decent size saladOverall a very good meal and I would say it is about average in price these daysWill definitely return next time we are in Selsey

We were unaware that they were about to close but the young female member of staff said it wasn't a problem and that we could stay and be served.The food was fresh and hot, and the portions huge !! Worth every penny, we will definitely be back.The staff were very friendly and polite.Thank you and keep up the amazing work

My family and I had meals at the Boulevard on 3 occasions last week while we were on holiday in the area. The staff are very friendly and efficient, the restaurant is very clean and well laid out. The quality of the food is excellent, portion sizes are great. I highly recommend the Sunday Carvery, great quality meat and vegetables. We have been going to this restaurant/Riviera anytime we have been in Selsey since it opened the 1980s and we have never had a bad meal there ever, we always return.

The portions are very generous,so if you haven't got a big appetite go for a small dish. Our lunches we ordered were nice ,we ordered jacket potatoes and the portions were very generous. It was nice they had plenty of capacity for eating outdoors. We recommend the boulevard.

We stopped here for lunch. Ribs were good. I had salad which was far too much , ( i noticed all the plates of food being served were on the large side ) and I left a lot..if I was the norm there then there’s a lot of food waste going on!! worth a stop but just make sure you’re hungry!

This is basically a fish and chip restaurant, in my opinion, and if you order that you'll be fine. Other choices, not so good, bland? Not particularly clean either. Staff doing their best, but with a strange cock-sure attitude? It wasn't anything like as pleasant as in Sept. 2020 anyway. It could be the Brexit effect / curse of course, getting used to that.The Seal is a much better bet, 1 min past this plaice.

We popped in for lunch on saturday & it was lovely. Between 4 of us we had burgers, breakfast, sandwiches and everything was lovely. Really quick service aswell and food was yummm!

Visited Boulevard approx 3 times - purely to give it yet another chance. I admit - burgers are good. Not amazing or WOW, but good, decent looking and tasting. Everything else that I personally tried, was a culinary disaster. Halloumi salad had a lot of -not so crispy- and very salty halloumi, clearly fried in old oil. The salad looks as if someone went to the salad bar and literally chucked everything and anything on your plate, with the said halloumi on top. Not what I’d like in my salad! No creativity used whatsoever.Fried calamari etc does not taste like fresh local seafood (we are by the sea, right?). It was most likely prepped from frozen - bought in a ‘cash and carry’. It’s ok, I’ll eat it, but that’s not what I’d want to pay for in a seaside restaurant. Chips were pale and sad (see pics).Disappointed.

Popped in for a late breakfast, excellent value for money, extensive menu, and friendly efficient staff. Plenty of seating and food options, kids menus, GF etc.

Regular customer here. Refused to be served a takeaway order at 4.30pm . Never happened before! Girl initially said yes sure, other half went to the counter to be told no. Perhaps you should mention your new takeaway times on your website. Very disappointed to say the least! Will eat elsewhere in future.
