First visit to the Chichester shop.. bought a large chicken and mushroom pie and honestly the BEST i have ever tasted !!Thankfully our daughter lives in Chichester so we can get another one very soon! 100/10 excellent.. thanks Annie and Mark from Leicester !

Been here lots of times and they never disappoint. The pies are beyond delicious, always full of filling and the fillings are top quality. The pastry is crisp and delicious, I've bought in store and done pies by post and both ways the quality is outstanding. The scotch eggs are unbelievable too. 👌

I recently had the pleasure of trying the beef and onion large pie with mash and bubble and squeak. I can honestly say the quality of the pie was outstanding. Reheating it was a breeze, and it retained all its rich flavors beautifully. The beef was tender and well-seasoned, complemented perfectly by the onions. The accompanying mash was creamy and smooth, and the bubble and squeak added a delightful crunch. Overall, this meal was not only delicious but also an excellent value for money. I will definitely be returning to enjoy it again. Highly recommended!

Food is delicious and not expensive

A very friendly staff, service was quick . I had the steak and ale pie , it was fantastic. You should take down the picture of the pies on your website as they are priced incorrectly. I realise the photo was taken 6 years ago and prices go up but it is misleading.

We had been willing to try Turner's pies for a while and we finally managed to get to the Chichester store whilst visiting the city. We bought the steak & ale pie and a small mushroom and asparagus, and both were very tasty, with quality ingredients and well filled. We will definitely go back next time we are in the area or we will try the delivery by post. I strongly recommend, it does not disappoint.

Lovely pie, good crust and a great amount of filling inside it

Very disappointed with the pies, very bland with hardly any flavour. One of our pasties also had what looked like a bone shard, or a small stone in it. Would not recommend on the quality of the pies, and also because I reported the hard object to them directly and have not heard anything back from them. The only good thing I can say is that the pies did come packaged very well.

A bit disappointing sadly - Chicken pie was quite bland. Quite average - not really better than a Tesco pie - don't know what the hype is about. Poor value.

Very nice warm steak and potato pie

Visiting Chichester we went in to eat a cheese and onion puff pastry, it was a success, it was delicious, without a doubt the best we have ever tried, their meat pies are spectacular too.

Never had bad service and never been disappointed with my purchase. Today we tried the scotch eggs in pork and black pudding - they ate a DEFINITE WINNER!!

We used to.love Turners pies,we used to go to Hawthorn Road when the lady used to make them in the back kitchen,they were lovely.The pastry was short crust and they were a rectangular shape,easy to hold. Now they are a smaller round shape with greasy limp pastry,impossible to eat from your hand when hot. £4.85 for an individual pie,won't be returning.

Best steak and kidney pie I've ever had

Very disappointing. Went in for the famous pasties with the very short pastry only to find it was discontinued. The pasty pastry is now a flaky pastry and no real different to a hipsters style. Pie pastry is comparatively hard. Fillings are good though.

We have been recommended by friends that Turners Pie Shops are the best. We purchased a steak and kidney pie for our dinner. When reheated as instructed, the pastry base was uncooked and the filling was really not good. Not for us.

I live in Germany but have family near Chichester so every time we are back home we stock up on Turner's Pies to take back with us. Bought four this time, one to eat when we get back home and the others for into the freezer to eat at a later date!

You will never be disappointed with a pie from Turners. They are simply the best you will ever eat. I often order for my daughter at University and her friends all say they wish they had a Turner's Pies near where they live.

Excellent pies, with different varieties and choice of fillings. Also has breads, rolls, cakes etc and light lunch items. Friendly staff

Seriously, how...HOW do you make pies this good? I never seem to time it quite right to be able to get a take out lunch pie / mash delight. Trust me, I am not an over indulger of pastry but these pies are works of art! Jammed full to the brim, golden pasty....literally like they have some gold leaf in the egg they brush them with. Melt in your mouth, I am salivating thinking about them. If you are ever nearby, this will change your opinion of the not so humble pie.

Their pies are stacked full of meat. The bigger the pie, the better value. We buy the large pie, cut it in two and freeze half. Works out at less than £2.70 a head, so better value than a pie full of gravy from a supermarket!

Staff are nice and friendly. Me personally I don't see what all the fuss is with the pies!

No, they aren't the cheapest option. But their prices are not extreme, either. But for great ingredients and freshly prepared food, you have to cover the supplier's higher costs. Hard working staff, and what you spend here stays in the community, it doesn't help an executive in Haslemere buy a second yacht.

I can remember when this place(Bognor Regis it started)was a old school traditional bakery Large pies loads of fillings They used to come in a longer deep dish size foil now it’s like a mince pie shocking. The last two x we have used these we are not impressed. Small pies are now in a ridiculously small container hardly no meat (these before used to be over spilling with ingredients not anymore) I don’t think I found a piece of gammon in mine Still charging the same money and the pie sizes have decreased by 50% I know you have to move with the times and update But at least keep what made you great the same as before If it was me I would be ashamed of what my grandfather-great grandfather first achieved Honest pies I will never use these again you can now get just as good pies from the internet when before these pies in my opinion were the best in the uk I feel robbed.

Was recommended to go here by a fellow ginger friend of mine , so I popped in there today and oh my days the 2 pies I got for me and my other half were devoured before we even got home - absolutely full of quality tasting chicken, both of us said how you get what you pay for - also I noticed the place was absolutely spotless - I would definitely recommend a visit to this establishment- Thank you Mr Turner 👏

Whilst in Chichester we remembered buying delicious pies from this shop, so we seemed it out. We bought 2 pies which they were happy to keep whilst we shopped. Looking forward to eating them tomorrow!

Can't find a place to review Petersfield branch, so decided to put a review here, as it's about the product, which will be the same wherever it's purchased. We were so looking forward to the Petersfield branch opening as we love pies. We chose a chicken and ham pie and were gobsmacked at the price - £10.50. But we bought it anyway, as they have such good reviews. We were very disappointed. The pastry was nice and it was well filled, but not with nice white chunks of chicken as we expected. It was a dull grey mush, with hardly any chunks of meat and a funny herby taste which we didn't enjoy. We would have felt cheated even if the pie had been half the price it was, but for £10.50 we felt robbed. Sadly, we won't be returning.

Delicious! What more can I say? Consistently good pies (I've only tried steak & kidney and steak & Stilton, though). Freezable and lose no flavour as a consequence. Friendly staff, too.

GREAT (meat) pies, sausauge rolls, and such. Individual or family siaze. Cold to take home, or hot, with mash, gravy, etc, to take way. Wonderful pastry. Assorted odds and ends... not least mince pies, Christmas pudding. Founded 1935, still a family owned, operated business... Main shop: Bognor, plus this one, and one other. Mr Turner often behind the counter. Have won PRIZES for "best pie" from "British Pie Association" (or whatever they call themselves. And not a chain. The money you spend here stays in the shop's community. Doesn't make a foreign fat cat CEO fatter.

We freeze and re-heat their medium pies and regard them as the best we've tasted. The range is limited, but all we've tried have lovely pastry and are packed full. For those who expect their cut pie to ooze onto the plate they may be on the solid side - so grab some of their gravy too, which is super with the four variants on steak+. Note this is not a restaurant. Since we live at a distance we use their click-and-collect which guarantees we won't arrive and find the shelves empty. The stock tends to run down towards the end of the day.

Apart from the amazing pies and other delicious goodies I want to commend the staff for their service, today I was I. The Chichester store and overheard a server asking to take the elderly gentleman’s shopping to his car for him! Excellent service and very happy to see good people in the world! Well done.

Down for the day and came across Turner’s. The pie, mash and peas (plus a splodge of gravy) went down an absolute treat. Friendly, professional staff, uber-clean shop, and decent prices to boot. The locals seem to live it too.

Just had there pie and mash lunch. Top quality and very tasty. Steak and cheese pie with mash,mushy peas and gravy all served in a box for £5.50. All the food looked very appetising and we were spoiled for choice. 10/10

As we drove in to Chichester we stumbled, by chance, on to the shop. We love a pie and we absolutely loved Turner's. Fab pastry. Tasty, chunky fillings. We loved them so much we went back in and bought more to stock-up the freezer. Without doubt the best pies we've eaten in the UK.

I recommend most of the pies and the gravy is delicious. I very often buy a pie when visitors come for dinner. The custard tarts are out of this world.

The worst bakery pasty I've ever eaten. Dry flavourless shortcrust pastry surrounding a grey lump of flavourless mush. So bad I'd rather get one from a supermarket

Why do you do only a mushroom pie for vegetarians and not a vegetable one, it would be nice to have a choice rather then just one. Not everyone is keen on mushrooms

I've had the mince steak pie many times over the years from their Bognor beginnings to their Chichester shop. The Mince Pie is so good that I never wanted to try any of the others. I'm sure they're all really good! On a score of 1-7, their Pie is 22/7

These pies are vastly overrated. Have tried a few different fillings. All have plenty of filling but they are all extremely salty and there must be an awful lot of people who have an unhealthy amount of salt in their food to rate these as the best. I have eaten plenty of better pies than these.

£5.50 for a lunch box featuring a pie, mash, mushy peas and gravy. Perfect to take into the Hornet Alehouse to wash down with a pint. And you get a loyalty card. Buy 10, your 11th is free. What’s not to like.

Great pies, plenty of choice and a nice clean shop. They also serve coffee for drink in or take out.

Locals are rightly proud of this company with it's reputation for good baked goods of all types. Several outlets in the area doing a roaring trade with lunch time specials. But is it possible that lately the pies have suffered a case of deflation to keep the price the same?

I often have one of their pies for my evening meal. Delicious, and SO different from the long-shelf-life products you get in the big chain supermarkets. And not expensive.

Service is very good. Pies are great. Meat actually inside these pies.

Oh dear, big mistake walking into here, tried their salmon quiche, steak pie and multigrain type of loaf, have to say all worth every penny, tad expensive but this was acceptable for the quality and quantity within the product.
