Just enough off the beaten track to be a relaxing spot in a busy part of town.

Her name is Laima, the most beautiful and respectful bartender served me and my boys. The price is good, the place is peaceful and the food is good.

Good looking pub, well decorated and vibrant, but the food is disappointing. I opted for the Katsu chicken burger. It didn't taste of katsu curry, the onion rings (plural) means 2 only, and the chip portion is small. The side of bbq sauce didn't go with the intended flavours. I'm not a big lad but I reckon I'll be getting a burger on the way home to fill the gap. Great for a drink and for chilling out but not recommended for food.

Back from London. The Swan was definitely one of our most memorable eating experience. It felt so special! Everything was just perfect. The kindness of the owners, the atmosphere, the food. Best fish and chips - no contest (the mushy peas!!!!) and the pints. Most memorable. Thank you for all the delightfulness.

This is my new favorite pub. Service was excellent and the food was better than most pubs. The atmosphere was wonderful, a delightful local situated in an alley off Southampton Row in Holborn, also very close to Russell Square. Great selection of ales and beers. Not to be missed.

Very nice and cozy place inside. There is also a terrace outside, but we were inside. The food is very good (we confirm that having fish and chips and Pale Ale is worth it) and the staff who served us were very pleasant at all times. Highly recommended.

Food is not very good. Bao buns weren’t bao buns and they were all dough and no filling. Chips underdone. Peppercorn sauce didn’t have any flavour. Halloumi dippers were ok but not much chilli jam. Crispy smashed potatoes has next to no cheese and weren’t crispy in any way. Beef croquettes were ok and worth 3/ 5 as a stand alone item.

We've visited Swan on our first visit to Bloomsbury and loved it, twice. 2 weeks later out return flight was canceled and we took the day to revisit bloomsbury and Swan, twice again. Many cases ales, clean toilets, quiet and friendly staff. 100% will visit again. Unique atmosphere and cool accommodations. Manager is so friendly. We love Swan. We bought pint glasses! P.S. ol' Rosie is delicious. Unfiltered means cloudy, not bad.

These are the same cider from the tap. One was completely cloudy while the 2nd one was clear(ish). They didn't smell good either.

Typical pub in a quiet spot, chosen because of the reviews and they were right. Fish & Chips is highly recommended here, as stated on their plate. Management made some mistakes but still recommended

Always worth calling in if nearby, several real ales plus usual beers. Small but comfortable, outside area available when not raining.

Sought out this pub as it sells Theakston Old Peculiar. Quiet upon arrival, but quite a few patrons at time of writing. Theakstons OP apparently regularly available, so will definitely come here again as one of my fav tipples. I used to frequent this area (Russel Sq) due to a pub (The Sun) that served OP, but no longer. Pub serves food that looks great, but ale not food beckons. And of course some history to The Swan

We had a wonderful time at The Swan.My husband and I used to work there a long time ago, in fact that is where we met. When Andy, the barman, heard our story he went out of his way to make us feel welcome. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and it helped that the food was good, too.

How you imagine a pub. Hearty food, regional beers, ordering at the counter. In a small side street with outside seating. Highlight: a stunning selection of Scottish whiskeys but also other high-proof drinks. We recommend.

We had no food, but the service, greeting and atmosphere were very good, we will definately call back when we visit again.

This restaurant is a gem! The food, service, and atmosphere are top-notch! I highly recommend stopping in for a pint and a bite to eat if you're in the area! Definitely have the steak and ale pie! Soooo good! And don't pass up on dessert! The sticky toffee pudding is the best I've ever had!

Even though it was full and I hadn't booked a table, the guys were very kind asking me to wait for the first one who was free.....I didn't find any tourists, all Londoners, I have two children and they didn't give me any problems, which isn't the case. discounted in English pubs.... Excellent food, excellent service and acceptable prices..... See you soon

High level hospitality. Proper selection of beers on taps / pumps. Bartenders are happy to advise on beer / spirits selection. Fish and chips was fresh and crispy.

We accidentally showed up 1 day late for our reservation (good o’ jet lag lol) but Kshipra was kind enough to find us a table in the busy pub. Service was 100/10 and the fish & chips were SO good. You’ll definitely catch us there again during our nice trip to London!! :)

The fish and chips with fresh peas was absolutely wonderful. The coating on the fish was golden crispy, the fresh peas were perfect and we shared a luscious sticky toffee pudding for dessert. First time having Weston cider but it won't be the last. The staff was so friendly, kind and helpful. Highly recommend this place.

Enjoy the atmosphere of a London pub. It is close to the hotel and is a great asset for tourists. One of the characteristics of this restaurant is that there is no exception to the menu, and there are many types of beer.

I use to stay in the area when I come ti London, and never had problems with kitchen closings even at 10pm. Today I arrived 9:25 and they told me that kitchen was closed. Different staff, not sure what happened with the accommodating ladies that used to run the pub… It’s a pity, because it was a nice spot!

Popped in after a visit to the British Museum with my Son. Really friendly and helpful staff and good honest food, right nice!

It's speciality is ales so great place if that's what you enjoy, I didn't get any food on my visit so can't rate their food.

The atmosphere in the pub is great, we ate a traditional fish and chips and we had a great time! We all had a very nice piece of fish and the home fries were delicious 👍 There is a wide choice of beers and the welcome is great 😊

A pleasant pub serving absolutely top notch real ale, proving beyond all doubt that beer conditioned and served from cask is superior. Visited The Swan with friends. Great place to hang out and enjoy the cozy atmosphere! Our server Mille was very sweet and helpful - took the time to explain unknown dishes on the menu (the food was delicious). I don't enjoy beer and was exceedingly happy with the cocktail selection. Would recommend this place for anyone regardless of age.

We had a wonderful time at the Swan. Ineta was charming and helpful, we also enjoyed the cosy athmosphere. We tried the fish and chips and the sticky toffee pudding, a true revelation. We'd like nothing better than to return one day, hopefully soon.

We was yesterday at the pub and the place was great, Bart was a great guy, he serve us impeccable, he offers to rake pictures to us. Today return to the pub and we was serve by Laim, she was great also.

This is a family-friendly pub that serves classic British pub food. They are currently offering a mix and share plates deal where you can get 3 plates for £16.50 or 5 plates for £27.50. We ordered several plates including the Japanese sticky fried chicken, crispy squid, and pan-fried king's prawns and chorizos. The trio of fries was delicious and the portion size was huge. Moreover, the staff was friendly and polite.
