Swan in Camden

1st time in London, very pleasant and cozy pub setting. Bart was extremely helpful and gave us some pointers on how best to enjoy the steak pie and mash (everything goes in and don’t be shy with the gravy!). They were also kind enough to charge my phone, which was greatly appreciated. Regards, John

Very nice English pub. We were there once in the evening and once for the Sunday Roast. The food was always very good and we were always warmly welcomed and served. The atmosphere is cozy, rustic and typical of a pub. We would love to come back when we are in London.

Great pub, Great selection of ales, including Old Peculier, always very well kept. Steph (the landlady), Laima, and Netta, and the rest of the team behind the bar are always friendly, welcoming, and helpful.

Everything was great... Beer selection and food. Service was also friendly and quick. Bart, the bartender made lunch lots of fun. BTW lunch drink and food special is a bargain!

Excellent atmosphere, friendly waiters. An English tavern where we order hamburgers, and authentic fish & chips. Without a doubt a place to go for lunch or dinner within the immensity of London. Near the British museum.

The swan was a very fun place great atmosphere. The food and beer was excellent! Make sure you get the sticky toffee pudding!!

Barts service was absolutely stunning!

We just went for a quick lunch and we read the fish and chips were really good there. Sadly the experience was not as good as expected, although it wasn't bad at all. The fish and chips were flavorless and a pretty small portion. On the other hand, we also tried a delicious Korean fried chicken that balanced the menu. The vibe was good and the service decent, although the food took a long time to be ready for an almost empty place.

I love this place. The food, service (s/o Andy!), and vibe is always perfect. Their Sunday roast is one of my favorites. Would highly recommend!

My wife, daughter and I ate here while visiting from Toronto and staying at a nearby hotel. Bart, the bartender, was super helpful and welcoming. The food was delicious. They have a gluten free menu and stock gluten free Peroni in a bottle, which was awesome for. We will be back!

Good looking pub, well decorated and vibrant, but the food is disappointing. I opted for the Katsu chicken burger. It didn't taste of katsu curry, the onion rings (plural) means 2 only, and the chip portion is small. The side of bbq sauce didn't go with the intended flavours. I'm not a big lad but I reckon I'll be getting a burger on the way home to fill the gap. Great for a drink and for chilling out but not recommended for food.

Back from London. The Swan was definitely one of our most memorable eating experience. It felt so special! Everything was just perfect. The kindness of the owners, the atmosphere, the food. Best fish and chips - no contest (the mushy peas!!!!) and the pints. Most memorable. Thank you for all the delightfulness.

This is my new favorite pub. Service was excellent and the food was better than most pubs. The atmosphere was wonderful, a delightful local situated in an alley off Southampton Row in Holborn, also very close to Russell Square. Great selection of ales and beers. Not to be missed.

Very nice and cozy place inside. There is also a terrace outside, but we were inside. The food is very good (we confirm that having fish and chips and Pale Ale is worth it) and the staff who served us were very pleasant at all times. Highly recommended.

chill pub. popped in late night for a beer and got in rather quickly and enjoyed it

Food is not very good. Bao buns weren’t bao buns and they were all dough and no filling. Chips underdone. Peppercorn sauce didn’t have any flavour. Halloumi dippers were ok but not much chilli jam. Crispy smashed potatoes has next to no cheese and weren’t crispy in any way. Beef croquettes were ok and worth 3/ 5 as a stand alone item.

Beautiful, spacious pub but the staff are what really make it. Kind, attentive and a real credit to the venue. The obvious choice in Kings Cross

Very good experience at 'the Swan'

We've visited Swan on our first visit to Bloomsbury and loved it, twice. 2 weeks later out return flight was canceled and we took the day to revisit bloomsbury and Swan, twice again. Many cases ales, clean toilets, quiet and friendly staff. 100% will visit again. Unique atmosphere and cool accommodations. Manager is so friendly. We love Swan. We bought pint glasses! P.S. ol' Rosie is delicious. Unfiltered means cloudy, not bad.

These are the same cider from the tap. One was completely cloudy while the 2nd one was clear(ish). They didn't smell good either.

Typical pub in a quiet spot, chosen because of the reviews and they were right. Fish & Chips is highly recommended here, as stated on their plate. Management made some mistakes but still recommended

Always worth calling in if nearby, several real ales plus usual beers. Small but comfortable, outside area available when not raining.

Sought out this pub as it sells Theakston Old Peculiar. Quiet upon arrival, but quite a few patrons at time of writing. Theakstons OP apparently regularly available, so will definitely come here again as one of my fav tipples. I used to frequent this area (Russel Sq) due to a pub (The Sun) that served OP, but no longer. Pub serves food that looks great, but ale not food beckons. And of course some history to The Swan

We had a wonderful time at The Swan.My husband and I used to work there a long time ago, in fact that is where we met. When Andy, the barman, heard our story he went out of his way to make us feel welcome. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and it helped that the food was good, too.

How you imagine a pub. Hearty food, regional beers, ordering at the counter. In a small side street with outside seating. Highlight: a stunning selection of Scottish whiskeys but also other high-proof drinks. We recommend.

We had no food, but the service, greeting and atmosphere were very good, we will definately call back when we visit again.
