A really incredible experience. The food is great but it's also very fun watching the team preparing the food right in front of you. The menu changes daily, they forage for many of the ingredients themselves, everyone really cares about what they're doing. Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed.

The food was inedible! The chicken was undercooked, the meet was very chewy and I couldn’t swallow it… we were a group of 8 people. We left disappointed, hungry and upset we paid a fortune for bad food. We all tried Michelin star restaurants all over Europe and the US but we never had such a bad experience.

Jason Statham meets Brett Graham…. fabulous evening at a restaurant I’ve wanted to visit since 2014 but haven’t had the opportunity to do so untill this evening….cue a work anniversary and an unexpected invitation to Kitchen Table and one of the best evenings I’ve had the fortune of enjoying ….from appetisers in the bar to the first several courses in the restaurant, the textures / flavours and presentation really wowed everyone…highlights were the scallops, the chalk stream trout and the lobster which had strong flavour combinations whilst still allowing the prime ingredients to shine through. Mallard Duck and Venison which followed were both excellent although as often seen in establishments of this stature were not quite as boundary pushing as their predecessors, desserts which appeared almost never ending were more than competent to the extent that the pastry chef produced the homemade Seville orange marmalade to prove its authenticity to a husband of a Sevillana wife. Wine pairings were out of sight, Sandia Chang curates a tasting list that innovates but also traditionalises….something many sommeliers could learn from….too often a sommelier wants to push boundaries with unusual choices to show imagination to poor effect on the menu. Not so here…old world is not forgotten whilst searching out interesting smaller producers that produce a twist on a classic rather than trying to reinvent the wheel…highlights include the Riesling which accompanied two courses and managed to both complete the floral minerality sweetness of a classic Riesling whilst remaining dry enough to please most palates. Service here almost seemed a family affair with waiting staff attentive, wanting to make experiences for customers but still with a twinkle in the eye and not afraid of a little banter….all of which leads us back to the head of house James Knappett who with his tough talking but delicate touch leads a brigade I would return time after time to revisit….Stunning!!

What an amazing restaurant and setup. What you would expect from 2 Michelle stars restaurant, outstanding quality and execution. Service was exceptional and all the dishes were made to perfection. Sitting at a U shape, shared table, watching the kitchen in action as they make the most beautiful art pieces made for a unique experience. As expected, this place is on the pricier side at $300+ per person being the staring point. However, definitely worth trying once in a lifetime if possible. Only downside was the dessert, which felt a bit underwhelming compared to the rest of our meal, which was constantly building up to higher and higher expectation as we were moving forward, bite after bite. Overall, well done!

Great place. Two Michelin stars - wonderful staff, food, and service. I will focus my review on something that I understand technically which they have right that so many other places have wrong. Where you sit downstairs and watch them prepare the food right in front of you the air conditioning is there but not there. Temperature is perfect, nice gentle air movement but it’s not blowing on you and no air noise. And you can't hear the kitchen hood exhaust either but nevertheless it exhausts all the cooking smells so your clothes don’t end up smelling like food. And getting that to work right is complicated, means bringing in a lot of fresh outdoor air, and often goes wrong and isn’t fixed. Their attention to detail is impressive in every way and the entire staff is extremely dedicated and devoted - a truly wonderful place!

Food was delicious- we loved every dish. Only part we were not overwhelmed about was the deserts. Service was good. We did feel like there was a bit too much upselling during the evening. A waiter came to us suggesting the extra seasonal dish and we felt he insisted too much. There were multiple similar examples. Atmosphere- the chairs at the bar were not so comfortable and if you don’t want to start with a cocktail it feels like an awkward start in first 30 mins. loved the set up during the main courses with the open kitchen.

Food was fantastic and watching it being prepared by the team was an experience. Felt like a western take on omakase. The food was fresh and amazing. Service was prompt and friendly. One of my favourites was a seemingly simple but tasty and delightful brioche (photo). The only thing that left me a tad disappointed, since it is a 2 Michelin-starred restaurant, was the go-ahead when part of my dessert cracked/collapsed. It didn’t help that I saw the sous chef ask, and was still given the go-ahead. All in all, an absolutely lovely dinner performance that could have been perfect but still highly recommended.

The best meal of my life. My wife and I have been to quite a few 2 Michelin star places at this point in our lives, but this one was truly special. Everything from the service, the space, and especially the food was 10/10. If you are a fan of food and love watching masters of the craft work their magic right in front of you, this is the perfect place. You get an incredible dinner, and a marvelous show watching each chef prepare the next course. decadent food, in a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere made this a highlight of our trip to London. Food alone was pleasant. Service is ok. However, given the experience is supposed to involve more interaction, particularly from the chef, this was definitely lacking. Value is off. There were three charges that don't make sense: Still water is not served from a bottle but the restaurant's already opened bottles. And still we were charged 5 pounds pp. I don't even think my partner and I even drank a bottle's worth. It doesn't bode well when you already spend well over 500 pounds and you are charged for water. Charity Donation of 1 pound. This randomly shows up on receipt and there is no explanation. The bill is brought to you with other customers around so it is awkward to highlight. I don't even understand why this would even be included. Service Fee of 15 per cent so you will end up paying at least 75 pounds for service only. Absolute joke when the the waiters and chefs are supposed to be doing their job. Place needs to be investigated.

We dined here during our honeymoon. Unassuming from the outside once you are seated in the lounge area you begin an amazing experience in dining. We started with a cocktail then the canapés started. We were offered an upgrade to add caviar and truffles to some dishes we opted to do this as I love truffles and my fiancé loves caviar. When we entered the kitchen for dinner it was a large u shaped table around their kitchen. We got to watch everything be prepared. The kitchen was spotless. The food was amazing I lost track of the number of courses. The level of detail in each course was unmatched. From bread to lobster, a pasta course, I can honestly say there was not one thing I did not enjoy.

I recently visited Kitchen Table in London, an experience that left me with mixed feelings despite the establishment's two-star Michelin rating. The evening began on a particularly sour note due to a misunderstanding regarding the dress code. I always wear a cap (for medical reasons), and I was initially told to remove it or leave without a refund, which had already been paid in full. This rigid policy, especially without consideration for medical needs, gave me a really unpleasant start to the evening—a feeling that lingered throughout the meal. Fortunately, we were allowed to stay, but the episode set a disappointing tone for the evening. On a positive note, the culinary skills of the chef are beyond reproach. The dishes were exceptional, showcasing a high level of craftsmanship and a profound understanding of flavors. It's clear the chef is extremely talented, and the food was the highlight of our visit. However, other aspects did not meet the same standard. The meal commenced with an aperitif of warm champagne that lacked effervescence, setting a disappointing tone. While the wine pairings were well-chosen and enhanced the meal, the selection of wines was not conservative but rather cautiously modest in price, which seemed incongruent with the overall dining experience. Additionally, the service was less attentive than anticipated, and the atmosphere was dampened by the chef's harsh treatment of his staff in the open kitchen, which included multiple instances of sharp criticism. In conclusion, while the food at Kitchen Table is undeniably excellent, the overall experience earns a 3 out of 5 due to the combination of service issues and the initial interaction regarding the dress code. This visit highlighted that even renowned restaurants can have areas in need of improvement.

I challenge anyone to name another restaurant, anywhere in the world, that works so hard to make very single guest feel like both a celebrity, and also their best mate. If we could leave 10 stars – we would! We´ve been to quite a few Michelin Restaurants (several ***) – but Kitchen Table is up there with the very best! Regarding the food...On a big tasting menu there´s normally something that does not hit the spot or are "not your thing"...But, in all honestly, we licked every single plate! Also, as a big bonus, we got to spend some time and chat with Head Chef James Knappett...Funny, Humble and a sense for taste/texture that is second to none. On top of all this, the service team/staff are so warm, friendly and professional, that you actually feel that you are home at someones Kitchen Table. Christina was amazing with helping us with reservation and we couldn´t have asked for a better evening. Some say it´s to expensive...I say: worth every penny! It´s not just a dinner. It´s a memory. Truly an incredible experience, and I think they deserve that. The concept is as if you were in a friend's home for a private evening full of good food and good company. You start in their lounge right before the start of dinner service and they serve an amouse bouche along with cocktails. They then bring you to the large open kitchen where everyone sits around the main plating area in a communal style seating. The staff was incredibly attentive and thoughtful with the presentation. Possibly the best meal we have ever had. A good measure of a meal is the amount of involuntary noises you make when eating it. This happened with practically every course. The service was relaxed and friendly, the setting stripped away some of the stuffiness you can get in high-end restaurants and for the entire staff to deliver this experience under the gaze of everyone seated around ‘the kitchen table’ was a really engrossing performance. They deserve every success - for the rest of us, it’s worth saving up because it ain’t cheap!

The food preparation and wine pairing are great. What I really don't like, is the feeling that the arrangement for the evening (ie: staging you and everyone in the waiting room) seems to position for trying (really trying) to upsell you more drinks, more add-ons. Would have been great for the staffs to be able to communicate this differently. I am sure the intention is good, as you would like to offer guests the opportunity to experience more; but there are more discrete ways of doing this. Everyone upsells, but not everyone do it with subtlety.

Never tried out the kitchen table concept before and I was fantastic. The stand out and favourite course for me was the squid / peanut / goan spice dish. Of course almost all of them we're incredible, which is what you'd expect from 2 stars, and of course there were strange pairs that work shockingly well. I never knew I wanted wagu + walnut until I did that evening. As for the format of the table, I found it a delight to pass the time watching all the chefs work away on the dishes, I've never done a chef's table before but I think I will in the future. It's a little cosy in the room, however the chairs are massive so you have enough space of your own, and the staff will always help you get comfy if you need to move adjust yourself a little. So again I'm usually used to big open restaurants but this is a little different, it's a bit like the theatre, packed but enough room, and it adds to the atmosphere. The best part above all of the whole meal was the soft parings drinks with the courses. This is the first time I've seen this, and a huge amount of effort was put into coming up with non-alcoholic parings to go with each dish. There was a dealcoholized red wine with the duck course and it could not have matched more perfectly. I think they'd added missing notes back in to round it off. There was also a rich barley drink that beginning that tasted so dense and rich. These were not some random soft drinks they’re found, the were expertly crafted. I could not recommend this place enough. The decor, the bustling but relaxed atmosphere, the care and quality, it’s exquisite fun.

Underwhelmed and overrated in my opinion, lost its sparkle post covid, this isn’t the dinning experience it was! It may have been unintentional but James came across as arrogant and uninterested. The seating was stools crammed in around the kitchen that you couldnt even get out of your seat without staff assistance to go to the bathroom. James was in the kitchen until 9.00pm and then disappeared and never returned, the head chef had no charisma or personality, neither really interacted with the guests other than to announce the dishes. All the courses were cold, not even warm - the lobster curry could have been the best dish if it wasn’t stringy. The best dish was the cheese and pear tartin which anyone can make at home. The wild fallow venison course was debatable whether it was wild especially considering what is in season this time of year. First 2 courses and the last 2 courses were served in the bar area, also detaching you from the kitchen, giving less of a dining experience. Booking clearly tells you money up front no refunds which seems extreme. The sommelier was bonnie and acknowledgeable and she tried to hold the experience together - she worked hard and was good. Very disappointed, would not return, for £1000 could go away for a nice weekend instead!

Embarking on a culinary journey, the tomato's succulence delights and tomato water refreshes. Transitioning, garlic butter bread captivates with airy crunch and delicate essence. Continuing, scallops with pickled vegetables create a contrasting, elevated experience. Next, trout's symphony of flavors dances with walnuts, ginger, and floral notes. The lobster adventure unfolds with smoky, nutty precision. Moving on, rustic mushroom pasta delights; a touch of thyme could enhance. Shifting, onions and leeks resemble onion soup but with slight reservation. Advancing, flawless duck, plum purée, harmonious sauce, fennel, and cucumber bed enthrall. In a crescendo, Peach Tatin captivates with savory-sweet allure. Culminating, Blueberry Apple Sorbet harmonizes textures and flavors. We came here last week having originally visited prior to the Michelin stars and when bubbledogs occupied the front half of the restaurant in early 2018. The food was immaculate as expected. Really delicious courses throughout and exactly at the level you would expect for 2 Michelin stars. The sitting in the cocktail bar (where bubbledogs used to be) for the first few courses is really nice and goes well with a pre dinner drink However, for dessert they do then also move you back to the cocktail bar for the final two dessert plates with the aim of you ordering a post dinner drink. Everyone has their own opinion but for me I didn’t like this, I would far prefer to finish my courses at the main table. Perhaps this is because I’m not really a post dinner drink person but it did feel a bit like trying to get you to order more drinks. Besides this a great dinner.

Fantastic, engaging, and delicious experience. The service begins in the front lounge area with wonderfully curated cocktails (and mocktails) and canapés. Then, you and 18 or so very lucky people move to the back “kitchen table” to your front row seat for the show. It’s such an honor to watch Chef James and his team move about the kitchen and prepare the courses, taking the time to explain each one and engage in some banter. It’s a Michelin experience unlike any other. I ordered the vegetarian menu, which was phenomenal. Our favorite courses were the mushroom, quince, quail, and truffle. Sandia governs the wine and champagne (and soda) tastings with excellence, knowledge, and a kind demeanor - she turned us on to champagnes we’ve never had elsewhere! After dinner drinks back in the lounge were great and also gave us the opportunity to chat with some of Chef’s team. Just for balance, lets start with the positives: Lovely dining room and setting, really friend bartended who made some exceptional cocktails and was a general delight, cool wine cellar. The negatives: Incredibly expensive for what it was, I found the sommelier a bit disinterested and a complete lack of flavour in the majority of courses. There were a couple of highlights (BBQ lobster was excellent). But the food was broadly lacking in flavour, seasoning etc. I almost went home and tested for COVID. A spaghetti that seemed to be in a water sauce, cucumber from Matts farm (i challenge you to taste the difference between this and tesco cucumber), venison that had been improperly rendered. I could go on. I really don't know what Michelin are thinking giving this two stars, its barely on 1 star level (and that's being generous). Save your money and go to the plethora of other options in London.

What a culinary experience! Each dish was a surprising mix of flavors and textures. We were there for dinner, which is offered as a fixed menu, with all 19 guests sitting around the kitchen. While you expect the food in a 2-star-Michelin to be fantastic (and it certainly is!), I was really blown away by the non-alcoholic drink pairing they provided with each course, since I don’t enjoy wine. Just wow - so much of the flavors of the dishes were captured in those accompanying drinks. It was incredible. Service is fantastic, attentive and super-happy to explain every course and/or wine to great detail. Furthermore they all seemed to know our first names - simply spectacular hospitality. Every detail was well-thought-out as soon as we walked through the door. To sum up my experience here in one word: Unbelievable! I really want to come back :-)

o be completely honest and frank it was outrageously expensive for an evening which really wasn’t that worth the cost because a bill of 1200£ For 2 pax under no circumstances would make you feel like it was “worth it” for 1 meal. We feel like there were a lot of “hidden costs” and the restaurant hasn’t been upfront about charges in general. Firstly, the menu is priced at 250£ per person for food. However, at NO point nor anywhere on your website does it say what the menu is priced at. I think when we booked at resy it gave a range but that was it. There was no email either from KT stating this is the menu price. When I got the email of the wine pairing again I had to ask - what is the cost for the soft pairing / cake supplement etc. Basically if you don’t inquire it’s just blank emails being shot out. However the email sent by Sarah said the wine pairing you don’t need to book in advance only the soft pairing which we weren’t interested in. Even the cake that was provided and the truffle supplement - I had to ask how much these were which is quite awkward to do at a Michelin star restaurant and I cannot understand why it isn’t provided in the email / written down and provided to the client rather than them asking the questions. And to be completely Honest - 30£ for a SLICE of cake is outrageous. The cake really wasn’t worth that nor was it written happy anniversary anywhere like Sarah had said on email as I said it’s not for a bday but an anniversary. Then on the day..whilst the experience was nice like I said above definitely wasn’t worth 1200++ for 2 persons. The stools in the main restaurant are EXTREMELY uncomfortable to be sitting on for 3-4 + hours! I myself got off and had to “stretch my legs” 3 times and then it blocks the passage for others to exit and enter. I mean for the price you are paying surely a restaurant of KT’s calibre should have made this much more comfortable? It really felt like a pack of sardines in a small room. Very intimate and close to all other guests when you are there with your other half / your group. It isn’t an experience I am going on to get to know other guests… which I felt the way the seating was I was forced to do as I couldn’t sit in complete silence without interacting with someone sitting so close to me. We then get to the end of the evening (I think it was one of the last few courses) when Jim (I think?) was telling the wine pairing guests that there was a premium wine for one of the courses. So I asked Jim if we could have a glass to try. He gladly obliged. At no point we’re we bought a menu to show us the price for this and in our naivety we did think that even if there was a charge it would be minimal given not only the amount we are spending but also because we were celebrating an occasion that would be at least one thing that KT would be doing for us. Anyway, like I said before it is extremely weird and strange to at that point even ask saying “oh before you bring a glass, how much is it for” given we have NO idea that it would be £110 for one glass?! For one glass? I understand it is a premium wine but if the wine pairing cost was provided to us as £160 (again different to what our friends were told) how is it that 1 glass of that is 110 and the rest is 50£? Makes no sense even then. Like I said reading the reviews on Google / tripadvisor AnD our own friends telling us their experience of the “glass” was slightly different. Therefore I genuinely think not only will I definitely not be coming back to KT but it ruined our anniversary evening as well and I doubt I would be recommending KT to others too which is a shame because some of the courses were really really good and we were thinking we could come again till we got the bill. So this is really to tell KT that you should be upfront with your customers being a restaurant of such a high calibre. Because I truly truly feel cheated and misinformed. I informed KT management of this as well and they didn’t care or take any action.

It's such a shame to write this review but it's worth people noting the pitfalls of the new way they take your booking. The Kitchen Table has been my favorite restaurant in London for many years, I've been many times and have supported them through their early years. I had a table booked for this evening for 3 people at 6pm. Two things happened, one I misjudged the booking and thought I'd booked October, secondly my step father was taken ill and I wasn't able to make it at short notice. I know both these things are my fault but... £1,035 taken, they even wanted the service charge!!! No discount offered for a re-booking. I accept they have to cover themselves but that's greed of a whole different level. Anyone that can't offer a small solution to that mistake quite frankly shouldn't be in business. The foods good, the fella that owns the place is a nice bloke but this is just a joke, sadly another London restaurant that's got lost up it's own backside. Make sure you can 100% go on the night as there's no room to cancel.

A perfect food tour, the soft drinks are amazing, the chef is a gourmet artist, he controls every ingredient very well, and the transition of the dishes is also perfect, if you have a sufficient budget, this restaurant is a very good choice

The food and overall experience here was amazing. Delicious food throughout a number of courses. I had the non-alcoholic pairing, as well, and it felt just as thoughtful as everything else. You get to sit in a U shape looking directly into the prep area. I was so impressed by how efficiently the entire team behind the counter worked together. The staff was also great with questions, suggestions, and any talk about visiting London.

Might be the best meal of my life. A relaxed atmosphere, watching the dishes develop into perfection and then eating them in front of the chef who clearly loves to watch diners love his food. 10 stars out of 5 for me. If you get the chance go - it is wonderful.

I had high expectations, and Kitchen Table greatly exceeded them. The food here was fantastic - fresh, creative, and delicious. Chef James Knappett worked magic right before our very eyes. I loved the open kitchen concept and the theater-style seating. The service was also impeccable. Every staff member was incredibly gracious and welcoming. Best of all, the restaurant didn't feel stuffy at all. Contrary to what you might normally expect from a two Michelin starred restaurant, Chef Knappett playfully chastised me after I stirred one of my sauces two times after he had instructed us to stir just once. He then pointed to a tiny flower petal that was still on my plate and said "that's edible." I loved the playfulness and irreverence. The entire meal took 5 hours. So, prepare yourself for a marathon. But it's well worth it and I would highly recommend grabbing a seat at the Kitchen Table.

Stolen not foraged - the website says "using meticulously sourced and foraged seasonal British ingredients" in fact the flowers used as an edible garnish on the plate of this two michelin star £100+ plus a head restaurant are stolen from the wildflower meadow planted in the olynpic park in E20. I'd been wondering why the wildflowers in the park had been steadily depleted until I found one of the chefs stuffing various flowers into a bag. This wildflower meadow is planted by professional gardeners using public money not only for beauty but for biodiversity and to attract pollinators. So not only is this stealing of the lowest kind but also it is wanton vandalism

Fantastic experience. The food is great and the idea of being close to the kitchen watching the people working is amazing . I would say that two minor negative points are that the seats are very close to each other being in someway uncomfortable and difficult to have a private conversation and the wine pairing was not as great as I would imagine for a restaurant of this level. But a well deserved 2 * !

This was my second visit to the restaurant; after a renovation, they made the stools more comfortable. Unfortunately the restaurant did not represent any sense of value in the first or second visit. I have been to a total of 62 Michelin stars in 43 restaurants (ibout 30 restaurants being at 1 star and another 15 restaurants with 2 or 3 stars) across the UK and Europe. Kitchen table is far too expensive for the food that you get, even if the glassware is fancy. This is immensely exacerbated by the fact that, from July 2022, they are imposing a minimum £150 spend on drinks ON TOP OF the £300 on food. In short, they are forcing you, whether you like to on not, to go for the wine pairing or other drinks package. This goes against any customer-centred approach for those that don't want to drink more than a glass or frankly some water.

There's a reason you have to wait months to get a table, it is totally divine! The food is out of this world, the chefs are incredible, the sommeliers know their stuff and are just wonderful! The wine is very reasonably priced, not overpriced at all! It is an expensive dinner for us normal folk but I think it is well worth the money as a treat! I cannot wait to go back.... when we can get a table in another 6 months! Keeping an eye out for when James Knappett get his 3rd star! * * *

This place was excellent from start to Finnish. The service I’d go so far to say the best I’ve ever had. Menu was fish heavy which I was very happy with but could be a turn of for some. Being able to see the food being made and ask questions about it was great. If you love food and fine dinning this is must visit.

Not the best intimate open kitchen dining experience let alone a 2 Michelin Star. The restaurant reminds you that it has 2 Michelin Stars from the entrance to every corner in every room. For the price of £250 per person we were greeted with TAP WATER upon arrival. I personally think that the purpose of an intimate open kitchen dining experience should be intimate and interactive. But the only interaction we had was the introduction of every dish when it’s presented, then the head chef pulls out his iPhone and starts replying messages on about 5 occasions throughout the night. The rest of the time we were left to watch the chefs run around and the head chef picking food with his fingers and eating them, then playing on his phone. I understand that head chefs need to taste the food but the proper way should be done with a clean spoon or fork every time, not the fingers that’s been playing on a phone that has millions kind of bacteria and germs on, let alone that you shouldn’t be on the phone in the first place. The food overall is decent, not the best I’ve had, not the worst I’ve had. Total of about 20 different bite size courses/dishes (including the appetisers and all of the different desserts). All of the courses had lots of flavours it was like a rollercoaster for the taste buds but then nothing really stood out in the end. Well maybe the main course Duck, because it was the worst dish of the night for me. The bill was just over £600 for the 2 of us, and we didn’t order any drinks. For this price, I really expected much better. My girlfriend really hated the main duck dish and took only one bite, but no chef or waiter came and asked why. Well I thought this was the whole point of this intimate open kitchen dining experience? Where we discuss the cooking and the food? Kitchen table has been operating for over 10 years and gained 2 Michelin stars from 2021. From this experience I feel that the head chef / owner has really lost his passion on gastronomy and cooking. All I see is a tired chef who’s probably overworked himself and has turned his passion into a money making machine.

Food simply incredible ... sitting round the kitchen it was wonderful theatre as well as breathtakingly good food. The work that goes into each of the 22 courses/dishes was incredible and no course/dish disappointed. However, one thing left a very sour taste. During the meal we were asked if we wanted to have a glass of red (2006 Stellenbosch) to go with a particular course and we said yes. The bill came and they charged us £80/glass. Maybe my mistake for not asking, but if you are going to charge that amount for a glass of wine, then you should tell me ... ridiculous. An amazing evening and while the food at £250/person is most definitely at the high end, it was worth every penny. I cannot recommend an evening here enough, but beware of surreptitious practices with the wine!

The phrase 'kitchen theatre' in the description sums it up perfectly. Watching the chefs interact with the diners and each other right in front of you as they finish dishes of the highest class is a truly special experience. The service ran like clockwork and the staff were also extremely knowledgeablen and accommodating. Anyone with an appreciation for great food should have this on their restaurant bucket list; it took me 3 years to make it here but it was well worth the wait.

Food was very good. The dining setup is also very cool where you can watch the food being prepared. However, everything else leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Since reopening they’ve completely jacked their prices, which is acceptable enough for the food, but it’s all the other bits that are annoying. It cost £9 for an incredibly average magic rock beer (£1 in Tesco) that was old and flat. £5 for water was taking the mick when you are paying so so much for the food. It was about £85 for the soft drink pairing! There was also a mandatory 15% service charge added on to the bill. The staff were very nice but the service itself was overly formal and somewhat clunky. The bill was similar to what I paid at the fat duck, but I would argue the fat duck is superior in almost every way. It actually felt like good value for money there whereas this place certainly did not. The food itself was great and worth the high prices. It was everything else that let it down.

Prob in my top five in London so far, this place definitely worth the two Michelin stars and I would say sits around the benchmark for that level of cooking. Lots of care and attention into every dish and every diner. The beef course possibly the best beef dish I've eaten. I would say that for a 2* place we are starting to push the boundaries of acceptable pricing though - getting on for 3* cost wise.

Delivery arrived am on Friday and we were not disappointed with our choices of food. It took us 2.5 hours to get through all the courses but was great fun and something you have to just get on with in our current climate. This is somewhere we would visit once this lockdown is over.
