The Bay Leaf Cafe in Camden

The Bay Leaf cafe is a small cafe for traditional English breakfast and sandwiches. Their English breakfast is very good and the staff is always nice and helpful! The atmosphere and people overall create a comfortable and warm environment, it feels very casual and nice.

I thought I would be getting a lovely breakfast cooked to perfection, but instead what I saw was astonishing. The same utensils used for the bacon & eggs, was used for the mushrooms & tomatoes, all on the exact same grill. The hash browns fried in the chip fryer no problem, but then either pork or chicken sausages fried in the same oil as the chips. Whatever happened to food standards & hygiene in London. I think London is losing its respect for all these food places thinking they can do what they want. What if I had an allergy or special dietary requirements? I doubt they would’ve cooked it with caution. Also I should’ve taken a picture it doesn’t do it any justice £9+ for a measly breakfast, small portion, over priced, poor hygiene levels, cross contamination all over the place. Never going back here ever again. I think I should follow my pursuit & passion of being a chef & go back to bashing all the food places all over London & give them proper feedback for taking shortcuts, not adhering to food health & safety, cleanliness or hygiene levels. Disgraceful, gave me a horrible upset stomach after eating this.

Absolute gem of a cafe. Really good food, excellent value for money. Very friendly staff and made a huge fuss of my daughter as it was her 15th birthday. Would definitely recommend and will be returning in a few weeks when we are back in London.

Authentic coffee, the staff are lovely and the service is very fast. We really enjoyed the breakfast, it was very good! You can also take away Go there with your eyes closed

Amazing little place, with the best customer service! Was recommended to me by a colleague who goes for breakfast almost every morning. It was my first time there today and I had a lovely chat with the owner. The place is small, intimate and the food is great and everything made fresh. I will definitely be returning to try more of their food🤩

I wouldn't normally review a cafe but this was an exception. We missed our luxury hotel breakfast and decided to try this place instead. The family atmosphere and service was amazing. The food was fresh and we enjoyed every bite. It was very busy which shows a great place. Well done

Dobra lokalizacja miejsca, bardzo blisko do British Museum jeśli ktoś by chciał zjeść pyszne śniadanie przed lub po wizycie. Śniadanie w dobrej cenie, bardzo syte, ledwo daliśmy radę z moim chłopakiem skończyć nasze posiłki 😄 do śniadania w cenie jest kawa lub herbata, bodajże z mlekiem i jeszcze talerzyk tostów z masłem. Polecam bo naprawdę pyszne, prawdziwe British Breakfast.

It’s nice, cozy, the food is made fresh in front of you and it’s all flavorful. The server was attentive and not pushy she gave great recommendations when asked.

Run by a group of Portuguese guys, this was a great find. Very welcoming, nice guys, good sense of humour. We went her for breakfast, Service was great, the food was freshly cooked there in front not us and was really great value. A lot of workmen go here which tells you it’s good and good value. We had looked and tried a couple of other cafes nearby which were what you might call pretentious ,to the point of being rude. So pleased we found this cafe!

Fantastic cafe just off of Tottenham Court Road where you can get a decent full English breakfast, Brilliant service friendly staff and a typical cafe atmosphere I would definitely recommend.

An absolutely charming quiet café tucked away behind Tottenham Court Road. The menu is a mix of staple 'greasy spoon' food, with lighter pastas, salads, and home made mains too. All the menu is affordable, especially the for the location, and all our food was perfectly and quickly cooked. Staff were a highlight - incredible attentive and friendly. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend

I came for work lunch to Bay Leaf as one of my colleagues recommended it. I was surprised by the generous serving as well as the fresh ingredients used. Loads of mozzarella and avocado... yum It's a family run business as well from what it seems. Great!

I had the Ham omelette with salad and thought that the portion size was generous and the food delicious. The menu is reasonably priced for the area. My only issue with the place was that it's poorly ventilated and so, despite sitting in the furthest corner from the kitchen area, my clothes really smelled of cooking when I left.

staying at the Hub around the corner and had read some good reviews for the the Bay Leaf. Not open at weekends which is s shame.Food was fresh and tasty .Seating area a bit cramped.Very busy little place.Would go back

What's not to like. Breakfast for under a fiver in a traditional cafe. If you're staying in the Premier Hub round the corner - with continental breakfast only - but you want the egg and bacon to happen in your life - this is the place to come. It's not chi-chi. Just good value sensible cafe. And friendly.

Absolutely lovely home cooking, go here all the time as there is always a fresh home made special, food is quick, service is excellent and the team are brilliant, even have a loyalty system. Must add that I also use for corporate catering on occasion and have never been let down with the quantity taste or costs. Love it.

Nous avons découvert ce petit café par hasard le premier jour de nos vacances, et en avons fait notre cantine privilégiée pour tout le reste du séjour. la nourriture y est TRÈS bonne, un English Breakfast délicieux ; un jus d'orange pressé frais ; un café latte divin... Nous n'avons pas de mot pour qualifier ce café. Ouvert dès 6h, pour les lève-tôt ou les touristes en vadrouille ! Je ne peux que recommander 1000000000 fois ce lieu. Quand à l'équipe qui le gère : des gens adorables ! Prévenants, conviviaux, ayant un petit mot pour tout le monde... Merci à vous pour ce magnifique séjour ! Mon compagnon et moi en avons savouré chaque instant, en partie grâce à vous :) Até proxima ! Nous y reviendrons à notre prochain passage à Londres, c'est certains !

Lovely clean and friendly cafe, I had a vegetarian breakfast plus a lovely cup of coffee all for under £6 in the heart of London. I could have paid £25 for the same in my hotel so this was a lovely find.

A group of 8 of us called into the Bay Leaf without a booking and we had the most amazing and delicious food, it was so good that we called back the next day. the salads were fresh the mains were very tasty with good quality ingredients. The prosecco was also fabulous. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, Sabina and Keeley. Thank you and we will be back.

Small place but vibrant for sit down and takeaway food with lots of choice. I had a good strong americano and an Italian tuna and olive wrap which was slightly toasted and delicious. Great place for a quick snack or full meal and stands out from the local fast food places around Goodge Street. Around £4 for a wrap and £3 for a wrap - great value

I met colleagues at the Bay Leaf for an early breakfast before a meeting nearby. Great service and quality food at reasonable prices in a very friendly environment. Will certainly use again.

Excellent coffee and croissants, always a good welcome at any time of day, and clean. Hits the spot with no 'airs and graces'. Will keep coming back.

イングリッシュブレックファストが食べられます。恐らく近くで働いてる人、近所のおじさんあつまり、観光客らしき人と客層も色々で活気があります。混んでいても店員さんの対応は丁寧で優しさを感じました。おじいさんにわざわざ壁にかけてある黒板のメニューを外して見せてあげているのに驚きました。とても居心地のいいカフェです。

Voy a la bahía de Leaf Cafe - probablemente ir a almorzar al menos dos veces a la semana. El personal es increíblemente amable y siempre saludaban incluso si estoy solo y no ir en (trabajo cerca).

Después de una tarde la noche antes de este lugar nos salvó y nos preparó para el resto del día. Muy buena calidad de la comida, café y zumo, excelente relación calidad-servicio y variedad. La camarera era muy ocupados haciendo platos, café, servicio, y los cocineros eran planas, pero todo fue perfecto. Así que me alegro de que encontré esa mañana tuve que buscar tripadvisor y mark, así que la próxima vez que estoy de vuelta en Londres, me volveré.

El lugar es muy pequeña, y parece casi como si estuviera a entrar en sala de estar. El personal es amable y servicial. Hay asientos en el interior, pero no muy muchas mesas ... quizás 6 o 7 mesas en total (unos 18,00 personas) Tuvimos

Executive breakfast of salmon and eggs a real treat: colleague had fry up which was equally good. Bit cramped but worth the enforced cosiness!

مطعم حلال صغير و جميل و صاحبه يتكلم العربية. جربت ساندوتش طعميه و فطور انجليزي كان لذيذ بس السجق الدجاج كان جاف جداً و لكن بصفة عامة المطعم ممتاز و انصح بزيارته.

La hoja de Laurel estaba a 10 minutos a pie de nuestro hotel y perfecto para el desayuno. La cafetería estaba impecablemente limpio y el servicio era excelente. Cuatro de nosotros disfrutamos de un desayuno inglés completo con un buen café por £21, el agradable propietario hasta nos dieron en un par de bares del chocolate ya nos íbamos. No lo encontramos hasta nuestro último día en Londres o sin duda he vuelto.

Good food at a very reasonable price, good pleasant service. That's all it takes to make you want to return - would that others could do as much.
